We'll see....

If AMC had really killed off David, I'd be alot more interested in this storyline than I currently am. His death would lead to changes for alot of characters. But since I can't shake the feeling that all of this will be undone (and the cynic in me thinks it's a stunt from the second David staggered and collapsed, regardless of posts from VI to the contrary), I'm very meh about this story. I can't grieve for a character I expect to pop back up any second.The loss of VI is a biggie, IA with that. But the loss of alot of actors (TK, DC and now VI, though maybe temporarily) has sunk AMC. It's a shell of its former self. JMO

It's time for them to throw in the towel for AMC. Killing off David was the final straw. These new writers are doing a bigger hack job than Pratt. Are they seriously trying to leave this show with JR, Scott, Jake, Caleb, Ryan & Tad as the leading males? It's bad enough that they lost DC & TK...but now VI. WTF?!And I'm so sick of Kendall running behind Greenlee and playing nurse maid to her. Can we give Kendall her own story? And someone tell me...how many people are living at WildWind? Greenlee, David, Caleb & Bianca? It doesn't make any sense. Tear down the sets and build separate homes for these characters, because Bianca & Greenlee living under the same roof doesn't even make any sense. What have they done to this show?! And how much carnage is this Ryan/Greenlee story going to leave in its path? It's so time to move on from this crap.I say bring back Vanessa now, to extract some kind of revenge for her sons death. Can they at least do that?!

AMC is a ghost of its former self, not a shell. It's painful to watch.Scott, JR, Ryan, Greenlee and Annie are unwatchable. They are not leading men or leading lady material. Their characters were not written as such and with the stronger and far more interesting characters and stronger actors gone, they cannot hold up this show and it shows.I don't know how I feel about Vincent Irizarry being gone, if he's really gone. He's faked Greenlee's death, no reason he hasn't faked this. This has been done before with the autopsy and everything on GH with Ryan Chamberlin and done far better, then he came back to stalk Felicia, so I'm not buying it and if he does return, it will be anticlimatic. I wish they had paired him with Erica instead of the pathetic Greenlee.The show is done for. I watch with a heavy heart.

Idiots that they are. David is one of my all time favorites on that show.

I will miss David. He was a cartoon at the end of his run, but when the writers were really inspired, David was an incredible character. I don't think that he should have been killed off, he could have been made to suffer big time for all his crimes against humanity. Instead, the writers take the easy way out, and I am sure that the story will be a dud, and end on a dud.

Oh please don't give up just yet. I don't know if you read what I wrote a few weeks ago in the casting dept post, but I am rooting for the new head of ABC to fire Brian Frons and hire a new head of ABC Daytime, who will actually care about the shows and what the FANS WANT!!! Who will in turn, hire EP's who will hire HWs who know how to write and will write storie the FANS WANT TO SEE!!! I want AMC to succeed so badly. I LOVE this show. I have been watching this show for 30 years. It saddens me because there is not a lot to love right now, but all isn't lost. It can't be. What we have to realize is that ABC owns its shows, so they can afford to be a little more patient with them. A few years ago, they hired Kay Alden as a consultant, then let her walk.I would have loved to see what she could have done with AMC.But I digress, I think the writers will regret killing David. They could have used him if they ever decide to resurrect Dixie, kept him with Greenlee and made her realize how much he means to her, kept him and the Hubbards at bay, or even made him realize how much he wanted Krystle back and had him pursue and put them in a triangle with Caleb. Or given him a story with Marissa that could have made her existence a lot more meaningful. It is so sad how they ruined that character. Every show needs a good villian, and David fit that to a tee, they just started writing him so over the top. David started being mean just for the sake of being mean. There was no method to his madness. He just didn't seem to have a purpose other than to be everyone's enemy.

They also need to show some respect to lawyers as well. There are lawyers out there who are ethical and successful and do not stoop to chicanery to win. Liza as an attorney and now as DA is a joke. Ethical people can be interesting too.I realize this cast has been pared down to the core, and in some cases the dregs, (Marissa. Annie, JR, Scott), but if they're not going to expand the cast to include bonafide villains who are expendible, then these characters can no longer committ felonies.It's the lawlessness that has existed on this show for years now that has me unable to watch most of the time. Annie! UGH! This character is a remnant of Pratt's agenda driven writing and should have been written out. She is a cold blooded murderer. The iconic character of Stuart was killed off, Adam and Marion were ruined and Zach and Kendall kept apart for months just to give this one a storyline. Now just because the poor unfortunate actress that plays Marissa has no charisma with JR and Annie has does, they expect the fans to forgive and forget that she murdered her brother and never paid for the capital crime and accept her as a romantic lead with JR. And JR trying to act like and adult is a joke.Greenlee kidnapped Spike and not only did she never pay for it, they changed the damn storyline to make it out to be some thing genetic to accomodate the real Greenlee return.How stupid do the writers and execs of this show think the fans are? In the case of Spike's deafness do you think parents of an eighteen month old would not have noticed that he might be hearing impaired? Please!Yes I hope this new head of Disney will fire Frons, and hire someone who has respect for the genre, the fans, and for real storytelling that isn't agenda driven. I no longer trust these ABC execs. But does the new one even know soaps exist? We only have six soaps left. They need to be nurtured ,especially those on ABC or they'll be gone too.

ITA with your post, but I have to correct something....GL is not, was not David's accomplice....GL was the mastermind behind all the crimes.....and the accomplice to the plane tampering and attempted murder of Erica...I guess the writers & TPTB once again think we will forget what we saw the day before, week before, month before, but we the fans do not.....and no amount of whitewash, rewrite, whatever will change that...It was GL who came up with the idea to marry David.... GL wanted to rule PV with David by her side.....and destory Ryan, Erica, Kendall, etc..GL came up with the idea to cook the books and set Erica up for a prison sentence and also to humiliate her without a care about destorying Fusion & the Miranda Center in the process....GL loved the idea of she & David taking everyone down...loved every minute of it..GL asked David to keep Erica away from PV to make her look even more guilty....and loved that she didn't show up...David hired the guy to mess with the plane... GL didn't know that, but once she did, then she actively keep everyone from finding out that the plane crashed & keep them from searching for Erica, who could have been hurt, dying, etc...Now, it's all big bad David.....GL was okay with everything David did, except the plane crash, but she still tried to cover her butt at the expense of someones life..Now, we are supposed to believe that David made her do it..I get sick every darn time I hear someone say, "GL wouldn't do this....it was being with David that made her do it"...Excuse me.... This is the same GL that blackmailed BB because she was jealous of Leo's friendship with her..The same GLthat pushed Laura off a boat out of jealousy...Ripped Kendall's dress off in the courtroom because she wasn't the center of attention..Most importantly, this is the same GL the terrorized a pregnant Kendall, kidnapped her son, almost killed both her kids, stalked her, caused Spike to be deaf, Ian to be born too early, and was painted the victim of her victims...GL wouldn't do this...
