Hey all! First post, so I hope I do this right and don't offend or post something that is redundant.
Was watching Thur episode of GH and saw Kristina at the Haunted Star with Ethan. I said to myself .. "self, I bet Ethan takes the fall for Kristina's smackdown". Saw the preview for Monday and shazam! Could this have been any more predictable. They take what could be a meaningful and impactful story line about teen abuse and turn it into typical drama. Let me make another prediction. Kristina keeps her mouth shut until the moment when Ethan is going to pay for his alleged actions. Daddy or someone else is going to be ready to give retribution and she is going to cry foul. Could they make this girl any more pathetic? First the whole car accident and now this. Sad.
Yup this is going to be typical Kristina...she's angry for being rejected so she wants Ethan to get into trouble. Kiefer has got to go, the little maggot!!! Sonny is going to go nuts when his daughter gets abused (history anyone?)
The sad part of this is the fact that a potentially good storyline is ruined because two of the "victims" (Kristina & Sonny) are so unlikeable. Funny that only Johnny remembered that Kristina lied when she ran Claudia off the road and questions her story now. Then she'll get all hysterical when she realizes that Sonny plans on killing Ethan for doing this to her. She never thinks anything through. Ethan was right when he said that she is a spoiled little princess. And as for Sonny...typical reaction. Wants to "put Ethan down like a dog" without absolute proof. The scene at the Haunted Star was ridiculous. Sonny is out on bail for killing Claudia and no one sees the problem with him holding Ethan at gunpoint. He's a totally loose cannon and he's just allowed to walk away. He could come back at any time and finish the job. And after witnessing that debacle, Dante will "see" the good side of Sonny. Come on.............
This is sad. i have been steadily losing interest in GH for months. I record it, but don't really watch unless there are some 'must see' moments. This was one, and it fell flat. I expect no character growth, therefore, I am not disappointed.AMC has lost me, and GH is trying its' hardest to lose me too. The writers infatuation with making Sonny and Jason the good guys has finally worn me down.
It seems to me the message regarding Sonny is along the lines of - shooting an unarmed cop in the chest because he's trying to arrest you is not nearly as bad as beating a woman. Not saying either is good by any means-but one is no less disgusting than the other.
One of the big problems is Dante needs to be taken off the force. He and Lucky often find themselves on cases that are conflict of interests, yet they don't remove themselves from the case, then ignore certain factors depending upon who's involved. Should Lukcy have been questioning Ethan about what happened? NO... Should Dante have arrested Sonny, the moment he saw him pull a gun on Ethan? YES....These two bend the rules all the time, to fit their own agendas, and I'm so tired of everyone acting as if Dante is this great guy and great cop....when he's not. He gives all police officers a bad name. If you can't uphold the duties of your job, then you need to get off the force. Also, didn't Lucky just fall off the wagon not too long ago? So, should he be involved in any cases right now? Maybe they should get rid of Mac, since he can't seem to run a non-corrupt police station.
I'm with you Paul. It sad to me. After so many years of watching these shows I have lost interst fast. I miss my shows, but i just can't stand them anymore. OLTL is still doing ok, but lately they are proving to be pretty ignorant dumping the Kish story.
Dumping the Kish story was for two reasons.1) Sponsors and money2) Scott Evans was recurring, not contract.Remember, it is the Disney Network.
Haven't been on the boards in a while so I'm still catching up. I agree with all of you. There are so many things wrong with this story. The biggest is that they took the predictable, too soapy route of having her accuse the wrong guy. This is not the type of story for that. It is too important & plenty dramatic enough with the abuse alone. To make this disaster worse, everyone suddenly came down with amnesia & forgot that Kristina is a chronic liar. The girl wouldn't know the truth if it literally smacked her in the face! They take her word over a guy who, other than when he grabbed the brat's hand in order to push the underaged twit out of an alcohol serving CASINO, he's shown absolutely no sign of a violent temper. Then there's Sam romping around, telling Tracy that Ethan's a stranger that she doesn't know anything about. While that may be somewhat true, she does know that Kristina is a liar & a spoiled brat who got away with killing an unborn baby & nearly killing it's mother. Oh & by the way, Sam was once the new con artist in town too. I wonder how she'd have felt if she'd been in Ethan's shoes, accused of something she didn't do & everyone in town convinced she's guilty because the Cassadines are all murdering psychos. Same logic. The last big thing wrong ties into everyone's amnesia about undisputed facts. What happened to the hate-on Sonny, Sam & pretty much everyone except Alexis & Molly, had for Keifer? Did that suddenly disappear? No one can figure out that protecting his lunatic a** is the reason "K" lied??The only satisfactory climax to this story (& I hope it comes soon) would be for Keifer to beat the little snot into a coma while Ethan is in a room full of people including Sonny & Sam. That's what Kristina, Sam, Sonny & clueless Alexis deserve.
The only satisfactory climax to this story (& I hope it comes soon) would be for Keifer to beat the little snot into a coma while Ethan is in a room full of people including Sonny & Sam. That's what Kristina, Sam, Sonny & clueless Alexis deserve. LOL! Good to have you back on the board LJ. And as usual I agree with every single word you said. And thats all I am going to say because everybody involved in this stupid azz storyline has pizzed me off big time. I just ff through the majority of it. I wish I could jump through the TV and give Kristina the female version of what Keifer did to her. Then I would go after her pathetic mama in the same manner. Since Sam rarely gets on my nerves I would just like to give her one of this "bip, bap, boom" smacks for being stupid in this case. Ironically, I find myself wishing that Michael was there to bring Kristina's azz to her senses.Pathetic stupid storyline
LOL! Happy to be back. Sad to have nothing but criticism for the show. But, today, this story finally has hope of pulling out a win, if only by default. Finally, an adult actually spoke to Kristina in the right way. Luke was the right mix of sympathetic & distant. He didn't do what everyone, including Jason, has done. He didn't cringe & stand at a distance, watching every word they say. He spoke quietly & sympathetically. But, he was also very matter of fact in his assessment of the situation, telling her that she was the only one who could stop Sonny from killing Ethan. He was honest with her about abusers. He was also the first one to realize that, like him, Bobbie & Sonny, she'd been routinely beaten. It's a shame they didn't go all the way to the conclusion of that conversation because I really think he might be the only one who can help her move on & deal with the emotions she's struggling with. Applause for Tony Geary. One of his best scenes in a long time.
Leave it to Luke to be the one to go about it in a sensible manner. I haven't watched it yet but am so looking forward to seeing TG in action.
I am glad to see that Luke is finally getting storylines that he can sink his teeth into. He has been really good in supporting both Lucky and Ethan lately and he his willingness to ask Dante's help for Ethan because he daughter trusts Dante was excellent. This is the Luke that has been missing for so long. Also liked the conversation between Kirstina and Dante. Just a brother and sister trying to figure out an over the top father. Why didn't Keifer just come in wearing a sign that said, "I'm the one that hit Kristina." At first I thought that he would get totally belligerent with Dante, but he just settled for waving a red flag in front of his face.
I have to agree. GH has been getting on my nerves, but I do love Luke when they write right for for TG. I will be glad when the Kristina thing is over. I just don't like how this has played out for the young girls watching. I was a teen during the fun Luke and Laura days and my life revolved aroung GH and I was so sucked into the show. I can see young girls getting the wrong message.
Molly said a mouthful when she said Kiefer didn't deserve to die, but he deserved to go to jail for beating Kristina. I hate that GH killed him because I wanted to see him pay in a different way for hurting Alexis' daughter. It would have been nice seeing Alexis and Warren Bauer going at it because of their kids' problems. I feel a little cheated. I'm just glad they didn't have Sonny wack the kid because I may be in the minority, but I am so over Sonny. I will never look at him the same after he shot Dante point blank range. And I loved how Dante called him on the carpet about his kids and then hit him after Olivia left. His rage looked so real, that should be one of his emmy reels for next year. I hope that they never make Sonny and Dante a loving father/son duo. I want them to be able to coexist, but still have the dynamic that they do. They are much more interesting that way. But then, I would like for Sonny to be held accountable for his crimes because it is time.
When I was watch the soapnet marathon of GH on Sunday, I too felt very cheated that Keifer was killed instead of trial. What a great storyline that would have been. The dynamics between the families, the kids at school, the trial itself. Keifer having to look at Molly's & Morgan's faces, etc. Having him killed in a hit & run was much to easy...
I am so disgusted with this trial...it is nothing but a joke. Claire Walsch completely sucks as an attorney....or should I say, the writers suck at making her a good attorney. If she is supposed to be some tough trial attorney, that never loses a case, I guess I'm missing her great abilities.
Furthermore, I'm sick to death of Dante and his self-righteous attitude. He needs to do exactly what his cop friend said today, and just quit the force and go work for Sonny. He doesn't care about upholding the law....if he did, he wouldn't have lied on the witness stand about who shot him. He keeps telling everyone how much he wants to put Sonny away....well, I for one, am not buying it. Sonny's quick fix answer for everything is kill anyone that gets in his way or upsets him....and I'm so tired of him all together.
This whole trial and it's obvious outcome has done nothing but make good characters into bad and bad characters even worse. And as for Sonny, the character needs to pay for his crimes and mistakes. I'm surprised that Claire hasn't brought up, yet, what she overheard at the restaurant and why wasn't more done when Sonny threatened her in court. Now Carly will lie, the "truth" will come out and Sonny will go back to being Sonny.Luke brought up a great point yesterday when Lucky was giving Ethan grief for yelling at Kristina. When are the apologies going to start from all of the people that really bad mouthed Ethan through this whole mess? His life was threatened, he was beaten up and new characters (Maya Ward) are taking sides against him without even knowing him. Will this just be swept under the carpet and everyone will just move on???Really tired of Kristina's whining. I know that she was beaten twice and that should never happen to anyone, but she is the one that set this whole thing in motion. She didn't out Keifer when he first started to beat her, she purposely baited him the night of the party, she continually lied to everyone about Ethan's involvement and she expected that everthing would straighten itself out, just because she wanted it to go away. And how big of her to "forgive" Alexis for running Keifer down. From the scenes that I saw, Alexis was in no condition to be driving and didn't even appear to be aware that it actually was Keifer standing in front of her.Alexis and Sam and even Sonny have to take some responsibility for the events. I couldn't believe that they continually left Kristina home alone so that a string of Port Charles residents just waltzed in and out of the house and harrassed Kristina. Where were the body guards? After all, everybody thought that Ethan was guilty and he was walking around free. A PFA was not enough.
I'm with you. There are a ton of people that owe Ethan an apology...Sam being one of the people that I think owes him the biggest apology. Didn't she hit him once or twice? I don't like the idea of Ethan returning to the hospital and apologizing to Kristina. He has been put through the ringer, and everyone seems to be very forgetful about the way they treated him, when Kristina lied about what happened to her.I just have a big problem with all of the Corinthos children. They all constantly lie, and then are treated as if that is acceptable. They do what they want and suffer no consequences. I know Kristina suffered a horrible ordeal, but it shouldn't be ok that she lied to the police, just to get even with Ehan because he wouldn't date her. I also think Ethan should consider sueing the PCPD...they have wrongfully accused him, more than once, and I think they should eat a little humble pie. I can see where they may have had cause to arrest him for attacking Kristina, since she lied. But they didn't have any forensic evidence to connect him with the hit and run of Kiefer. There would have been DNA from his car to connect him to this crime...and there simply wasn't. They all just jumped to conclusions and decided that Ethan did it. Even the high and mighty Lucky jumped on board and eagerly arrested his brother for running down Kiefer. Let's not forget how Lucky destroyed he and Elizabeth's home with a baseball bat, after he found out about her and Nikolas. Granted, he had every reason to be upset, but he didn't handle the situation like an adult....so, get off of that high horse Mr. Lucky.
When and iIF the lot of PC apologizes to Ethan, he should tell them to go straight to HELL!!
Quote:When and iIF the lot of PC apologizes to Ethan, he should tell them to go straight to HELL!! Totally agree! Don't understand how anyone thought he was guilt to begin with!
I personally think that Luke should blast Alexis and especially Sonny for their treatment of his son. Sonny moreso because he should have given Ethan more of a break because of Kristina's pension for lying to cover up bad behavior and moreso because of his decades long friendship with Luke. His ordering a hit on Luke's son was totally disrespectful of their history and if I was Luke I probably would tell Sonny to go screw himself and never speak to me again.
I wish that Luke, Ethan and Johnny would team up and take everything from Sonny and leave him with nothing but his dimples. That's how much I dislike Sonny he needs to pay for shooting Dante even if it's going to jail for killing Claudia but he won't and all the Sonny lover's will be there to celabrate.
Sonny will never be in Jail. Period. Sonny and Jason are the moral compass of the show. In Guzaland, they are good people. There will never be any consequence for any of their actions, and that has gotten old. There can be no more character growth for these two.As for the younger Corinthos kids, the world is their oyster. There is much story to be mined, but without Sonny. The inevitable end for Sonny and Jason's story is death, and for me, it cannot come soon enough.
Hear hear. I totally agree. I can tolerate Jason alot more than I can tolerate Sonny, though. Maybe it is because he is Monica's son and he is a Quartermaine, and I always have this big hope that one day, he will regain his memory and return to the family. As for Sonny, if he left I don't think that I would shed many tears.
omg i was hoping Jason would become a doctor like he had planned when he was younger. I miss the Jason being a good son.
I think Keifer's parents should kick Alexis' azz for running down their son and then standing there watching him die. How stupid and nervy of her. I am so sick of her getting away with murder. Don't get me wrong; I think Keifer got what he deserved but if Alexis had been a more attentive parent she would have noticed something wasn't right with her daughter.
I agree with you up to a point , but murders she has only murdered two people(HAHA) just kidding. She does need to pay but so do other people ( Sonny, Jason ) for all the murders they have done . I love Jason but he needs to stop doing all Sonny's dirty work.
When Alexis ran down Keifer, it was an accident. The way it was presented, to me, it was almost like she was dreaming it. She was in shock. She should have called 911 or said at the hospital, I might have hit someone/thing in my frenzied state to get Kristina here, she was unconscious. She should be punished, but I don't put her in Sonny/Jason's category. They have intent behind their murders.
I have to say the whole story has ticked me off. Keifer getting killed off instead of paying for what he did. Yes the woman should have called 911, not but's about it!Yes, I understand that Alexis was in be in shock, but she first makes me sick leaving her abused, just out of the hospital, scared daughter at home to be beat again! Keifers parents are ticking me off also. The whole freaking story ticks me off.Ok I blew off steam and now I will hush.
They blew the whole story. Kieffer should not have been killed off.....I agree with that wholeheartedly. The better way to have killed him would have been Alexis walking in on him beating Krissy, and give him a fatal blow in denfense of her daughter.
Quote:They blew the whole story. Kieffer should not have been killed off.....I agree with that wholeheartedly. The better way to have killed him would have been Alexis walking in on him beating Krissy, and give him a fatal blow in denfense of her daughter. I absolutely agree. Having been in an abusive relationship as a teen, I agree...
The scary thing is that Kristina is not only going down the same path as Michael, she may even been worse. She claims to hate everything about her father and his business, but she shows up at cousin Nic's and wants him to put a stop to all of the Kiefer fall out. When is this girl going to suffer any consequences for what she's done? She ran Claudia off the road and killed her baby and now because of lies and cover ups, Kiefer is dead and she "just wants all of this to end and go away." Like Sage and Claudia, the character is being painted into a corner where the only solution will be to kill her off.Kristina needs to wake up, grow up and learn that the world just doesn't revolve around her. I know that they kid doesn't have much of a chance with Sonny on one side and Helena on the other, but it could make a good story line if she were to mature a bit before it's too late.
She's every bit as obnoxious as Sage, but with less reason. I'm also sick of the implication that her being a little brat is because of Sonny. Because of the way Alexis chose to raise her, Sonny had very little part in who she is. Her spoiled rotten attitude is all on her mother & Viola. Molly may not be obnoxious like Kristina, but she is very spoiled & she hasn't hit her teen years yet so she may be every bit as bad, but with Ric's demented side prominent. This nonsense with Johnny is yet more proof. She wants her father to do something that'll get him sent to prison. Duh? If she's so stupid that she doesn't know what he'll do, then she should be wrapped in cotton & stored in a bulletproof box on a high shelf, because it means she's too stupid to live in the real world or she secretly hates Johnny & can't wait for more bloodshed, like step-granny Hels. Either way, Kristina should go off to Yale like she & her mother planned & leave early. Like the beginning of summer. Like Lexi A, but have no love for K or Krissy or whatever she's being called this week.

Welcome to the board! Kristina is gone too far, the little brat. I can't believe she is going to let Ethan take the fall. But I agree with you on her waiting til the very last minute to save Ethan
