I just want to know IF AMC has already moved to LA, or if that move is still in the wings. How will we know when they move? If the move is only behind the scenes (as in: Pine Valley is still Pine Valley, it's just that AMC will be filmed in LA) then WHY MOVE AT ALL
???!!!!
The move is a "band-aid" if they truly wanted to fix AMC, Frons would be gone and Pratt wouldn't have been allowed to last as long as he did, and wouldn't have been allowed to cause as much decimation as he did to the show and character's that he did either. The move is going to cost them more in the long run, especially since they're losing DC, lost TK, and will probably lose AM and I have a feeling SL isn't going to commute forever either.
When the most active discussions on this entire board for AMC involve behind the scenes speculating and people hoping to see former favorites return, rather than what's going on on AMC right now, AMC is in trouble. Their ratings may have been good when they had popular favorites return for a day or when beloved characters exited AMC, but if people aren't that interested in talking about what's going on in Pine Valley right now, as the show continues to air new episodes, this is not a good sign for AMC.JMO.

ZF, ITA...Also, after finding out that if they just waited a little bit longer, they could have moved to CT, where TK & DC, AM & SL could have commuted easier, as well as others.....They also screwed up money wise on storage place or so I've heard...I get wanted HD and all that crap, but the move is costing them thier heavy hitters & real talent....which in the long run, will cost them the show...They should have stayed in NY or moved to CT.....because losing TK, DC, possibly AM, etc isn't worth the move...JMHO
I want to request something that is completely off subject...but I would like to see AMC bring Vanessa back to the scene. She was so deliciuosly evil....and being that they never found her or Leo's body, the possibility is there. Can't wait to see what changes are on the horizon for AMC. I've noticed the new commercials about re-discovering Pine Valley. I hope this newfound discover brings the old AMC that we know and love back to the screen.
I would imagine ABC moved AMC to LA so they can ultimately cancel OLTL and have their two remaining soaps in LA.
Ok, you need to put the crack pipe down....There is no way they should even think about cancelling OLTL. It is by far the best soap opera on ABC. If anyone show ends up getting the axe, it will undoubtedly be AMC. Charles Pratt has done too much damage and I don't know if there is any repairing it.
I saw the promos about Rediscovering AMC.....and they made me angry, sad, and I also LMAO...It's TPTB that need to rediscover their fans....rediscover what works, then start getting fans back..The new HWs hired have a horrible track record.... and most people are crying their eyes out at this news, not rejoicing...The show is centered around the most hated characters in daytime history...Ryan is still ruining characters & sucking the life out of the show..GL is back again, with the same exact story she had the last time...GL comes back & expects everyone to be waiting with open arms, life stood still, & when it's not, REVENGE....because she wants Ryan back so that he can use & abuse her..... ony difference replace Kendall with Erica....ERica is not Erica anymore.. .Sure, she can act like a teenager at times, which ticks me off because Erica needs a more mature s/l.... Hell, look at Vicki on OLTL... she's allow to have adult s/l, but not Erica and this thing with Ryan ruins her...Then we have Fake Liza....enough said..Oh yeah, lets not forget Psycho Annie whose time has come & gone, but she's still here... Sort of like Ryass...GL....Let's also not forget Borissa & Scott "Gomer" Chandler.....Yeah, does anyone really want to rediscover Rylee, Ryass, GL, Fake Liza, PsychoAnnie... I mean, misunderstood serial killer Annie who is just the poor victim....Are Borissa or Gomer going to get a personalitly soon... Doubt it...I do love Adam, David, Tad, ERica, & Opal,Jangie, but what are they doing.. David is paving the way for Rylee...Erica is being trashed by association with Ryass..Adam has his balls removed to pimp whichever Annie is appearing.....Tad is stuck with the Fake One...and Poor Opal is propping, pimping Ryan....Nothing to rediscover for me...

All I'm saying is that the OLTL cancellation rumors were out there. I wouldn't imagine that they would move AMC to cancel it. If anything they were streamlining so their daytime production was on one coast. That doesn't mean that OLTL isn't awesome, but if I had to guess, that would be it.
I am not convinced that any show is going to be cancelled but I am sure the first one to go would be OLTL, in spite of the fact that it's probably the best ABC soap today.ABC did not spend all that money moving AMC cross country to cancel it.. I would be much more worried for OLTL.
I too have heard some rumors that OLTL is going to be cancelled -- if that's true then there's a possibility that TK might show up again on AMC since he chose not to make the move based on his wife's part on OLTL. I can't remember where I read it -- you know how you get on one soap opera website and click on interesting stories and it just kinda mushrooms and the first thing you know you've gone from planet earth all the way to Mars? Anyway, one of the stories I read said that the storylines on OLTL are getting or going to get majorly stupid (kinda like the way they've been on AMC for the last 2 years) and the latest rumor is that they are abt to be cancelled. I hate to admit this, but the only time I really watched OLTL was way back when AMC was halfway decent and that made a good lead-in to OLTL, but when they killed off Jess' husband and their baby and she locked her sister and what's-his-face in that basement room it got a little too weird for me so I quit watching it and went out and got my own life.

Yes they already moved and they started taping there in early January after the holiday break. I am not sure when the LA episodes will first start to air - now we are still seeing the New York stuff. Why move at all is a good question. The answer was that it was going to be cheaper to tape the show in LA.But personally, it's no longer a show I am much interested in watching as most of my favorites are either not on the show at this time or will be leaving shortly. So the move to LA made little difference from my POV.
