He's super sexy!!! :
Seeing how this character is written, I am reminded of Tom Pelphrey in every scene. Dominic Zamprogna has the same charm, versatility and glint of mischievousness in his eye. I flip to GL and can see such similarities between the two actors styles.
As was speculated when they were first casting Dante, it was probably originally written with Tom Pelphrey in mind. Then, he decided to go back to GL. I just hope they don't dump DZ when Pelphrey becomes available. If they still want Pelphrey, write a new character for him. It's not as though there's an over abundance of men in that age group on the show right now. And one more good actor definitely coudn't hurt. I say we start finding out a little bit about that year Jason worked in the casino on Sonny's island. Maybe Jason fathered a child with an island girl & he pops up in the form of Tom Pelphrey Or, he's another Zacchara. Maybe Uncle Rudy's son.. Lots of ways to write him in.
Totally agree. I love him to death.
"Uncle Rudy's son". I'm liking that.

They wouldn't dump DZ (would they?), he has made the role his own. If Pelphrey wants to do another soap once GL is over, there are plenty of other ways he could be written into GH, as have been mentioned already. If they would start writing Sonny more likeable again, that would be (at least visually) the yummiest hour of TV!
Yes, it would. It was nice to see him smile again when he was talking Yankees with Dante & Morgan. As much as I love Sarah Brown, Claudia actually ruined the scene for me. I would've preferred just the Corinthos boys without her. I think Dante may be exactly what Sonny needs in his life right now & Michael & Morgan, as well.I also have to say I really like him with Lulu. She's actually enjoyable to watch when he's around. It's nice to see her smiling again & not in a snarky way. She really enjoys herself with him & he makes her nervous which is amusing to watch. The show might have finally found the right love interest for her.
I look forward to Dante/Dominic scenes and that can't be said of too many other characters. He's upbeat, happy and funny. His scenes with Lulu are priceless and it's cute the way he calls Olivia "ma". Hopefully, he can spread the happiness around and get a few more people to smile. There's been too much sadness, death and destruction lately in the story lines.
He is, but he needs a hair cut.
I love, love, love Dante, but, having said that, I think he made a big mistake today when he took that paper on the shipments from Sonny's desk. I have a feeling Sonny deliberately put it there to trap someone or to test him. Either way, I think he put himself on Sonny's bad side, which isn't good for his investigation or for his health. This time, he may be very glad his mom's as stubborn as he is.
Seriously, some papers from Sonny's desk is all its going to take to bring him down? Wow, that's incredible
It's not that these papers will take Sonny down, but it will allow the authorities to stop a shipment. Even Ronnie commented on how small a deal the papers were. I agree that it wasn't a good move. Max caught him in the room and when the fact that the papers are missing comes out, Max is gong to figure Dante had something to do with it. I don't think his tryst with Diane being found out should be enough for him to keep quiiet. Dante needs a camera to take pictures of evidence and not the actual papers themselves.
Would Sonny really keep shipment information on PAPER in his desk, at his house with people like Claudia that he doesn't completely trust? That was what I was thinking....if it was so easy for Dante to get his hands on something so potentially damaging, why hasn't Sonny been caught before? His living room is like Grand Central Station, guards or no guards.
That's why I think it was a trap. He's trying to see who's loyal & who isn't right now, because he's been told that the Z's are planning to reclaim their business & shut Sonny down. He wouldn't put those papers there for any other reason. Sonny's been in business for a long time. He didn't get there by being careless.
Is there anyone in Port Charles that hasn't been able to get into Sonny's house without the guards knowing about it?
NO. Friends & enemies alike walk in & out of Sonny's house at will, any time of the day or night. That's yet another thing that's so not like real life gangsters. If someone did manage to get past a guard in a real gangster's home, both he & the guard would be killed. And, employees wouldn't dare go snooping around in his desk. More importantly, even a rookie undercover cop, wouldn't risk blowing his cover by grabbing a paper with a shipment list that would only produce small results. Dante's supposed to be an experienced undercover cop. If he keeps making mistakes like that, the only thing that will save him is being Olivia's son.
Sonny's security is a joke. You know why though, cause they killed off Eppifany's son, who was doing all the technical stuff. But, I do think Dante being the baby M's bodyguard is a good thing. Of course Olivia is gonna have a stroke and die. I think because of who Dante is, he's not gonna force himself on Michael. He's gonna keep doing his own thing, hang out with Morgan and let Michael see what kind of guy he is, and Michael will come around. Hopefully the adults on this show will learn how to deal with Michael, and take a few queues from Jason and Dante. In the mist of all this though, I hope they give him a haircut. The floppy, moppy is just not working for me.
I agree. The wayward waves must go! They're hiding those beautiful brown eyes! As for Olivia's reaction, she's been ridiculous about this from the start. There's no reason not to tell these men, at this point, that they are father & son & every reason to tell them. It was one thing to keep the truth from them when Dante was an impressionable child. It's another thing for her to do it now. Dante's an adult. He's smart enough to understand why she chose to lie. With having almost lost Michael to mob violence & giving up his children to protect them, Sonny's in a very different place from when he was a kid or even from when he had his custody battles with Carly when the kids were young. I'm certain he's not going to flip out over it. Be disappointed? Yes. Maybe even a little bit heartbroken that she'd keep that from him. But, he would understand & wouldn't blame her. What she's doing now, could very well cause a man she loves to kill her son or for her son to kill or arrest his own father. Neither man will be able to forgive her, under those circumstances.

Yes he is, but he is also bring a lot to every scene he's in. I really like this boy. Now please powers that be at GH...don't screw this up!!
