Wow I've never hear of most of those. I still miss Another World. but, i'm glad to see Passions go because it was the reason they cencelled Another World. I liked Port Charles until they did the vampire stuff then I couldn't get into it. Plus the recked Lucy and Kevin.
If we could take all of the best characters from Another Worls, Cass and Frankie, as an example, Sunset Beach, Meg and Ben, loved them, and Santa Barbara, Mason and Julia and company, we could create a whole new soap and get rid of all the fluff characters. All greats, all the time. That would be the bomb diggety in my book. When they get rid of a powerhouse on a current running soap, we take that character and add it to it. There are so many great roles that could be blended for some real fun. AAHHH wishful thinking I know, but finding the right writers would help too. There were some good ones that are gone now. Good call pointing it out.
I LOVED SUNSET BEACH!!!I also liked Port Charles and Santa Barbara, but nothing could beat Sunset Beach.
I loved Capital! I remember watching Sloan's wedding at the Jefferson Memorial, and the great red dress she wore on the QE2!I loved watching AMC for awhile, mainly because I really liked watching Marcy Walker do her Liza thing with Jenny and Greg. Marcy and I went to HS together - she was ALWAYS great in the villainous rolls!
I never missed an episode of Santa Barbara from day one to the very end. I was heartbroken when they cancelled it. I even named my daughter Eden after Eden Capwell. I would love, love, love to see reruns of this on Soapnet, I would tape them all and keep them.
