well addison cheated on derek with his bestfriend, who is dr. slon. so derek got with meredith., and as for izzy, theres a few people she hasnt been with, like derek. and yes merediths mother was on the show for a little bit, but she died.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but while Mer's mother was on Grey's I thought she was only a ghost that Mer saw. I thought that was cleared up when Mer went to a therapist to get past her mother issues and we found out that she had been dead for five years.As for Izzy, she hasn't been with Derek or Slone (I think). She wasn't with Burke (when he was on) or Hahn (ROFL). Addison (hate hate hate Private Practice!!) was married to Derek, but began an affair with Slone (Derek's best friend). When Derek found out he moved to Seatle Grace and carried on with Mer. To fill in the holes--Lexie is Mer's half-sister (same dad/different mothers). Christina (who, by far is my favorite) was engaged to fellow Cardio doctor Burke who left when she left him at the altar (actor was fired after a few gay slurs behind the scenes I believe). Erica Hahn and Callie carried on a gay relatioship until Brooke Smith was FIRED by ABC saying her character didn't "catch on." Whatever! George was married to Callie (after his father died he married her in a quickie wedding off screen), but carried a torch for best friend Izzy and eventually they started up a relationship which ended George and Callie's marriage.I think that's it in a nutshell. LOL!

I think Meredith's mother was alive on screen, but she was in an institution and had Alzheimers. I may be wrong, but I thought she actually died in an episode. After which Meredith saw her as a ghost, before coming to terms with their relationship.

Hey guys thank so you much for the responds lol sorry ive been missing once again but you guys deff. filled in a few gaps for me!! my fav Docs are Addison and Christina I love her no emotion acting!!

You're welcome Right now I can't find the motivation to watch anymore. I don't know if it's the whole Denny/Izzy story or what, but the click I felt each time I've seen it just isn't there anymore. I miss Addison. She was the perfect mix of witch, vamp and all around fun.

I absolutely adore Grey's this season. I'm watching regularly for the first time in at least two years -- and then I get my Addison fix on Private Practice, which has also improved in leaps and bounds since last year.

I am loving Grey's a lot more this year than last. I could not get my head around Callie being a lesbian though, and I think it was because she was hopping in the sack with McSteamy and then going to the other doctor, (see I can't even remember her name). That was a little too far on the nasty for me, and I am pretty liberal. I didn't feel any chemistry at all but maybe with the new Sadie character it may work.

I think the last episode I really watched was when Callie was hopping in the sack with McSteamy and she was learning how to "please." (Yes! I'm trying to keep that PG)
