One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of April 12, 2010

Monday

After hearing Bo's shocking proposal, Nora was certain it was just the drugs talking, but Bo explained that he was done wasting time and couldn't be more serious. Nevertheless, he still had to convince her, suggesting that Matthew have parents who are married and they should remarry on their anniversary. Bo accused Nora of being afraid that things won't work out again. But, after a little arm-twisting, Nora agreed to marry him.

Just as Langston was preparing herself to break up with Markko, Dorian arrived with tickets for a sold-out concert that night. Meanwhile, Ford received a pizza delivery from Karen and pulled the girl into her bedroom. When Dorian saw that Langston wasn't enticed by her offer, she asked for a moment alone with her daughter. Sensing that something's going on between Langston and Markko, Dorian advised Langston not to walk away from something so special. Langston wiped away tears as she agreed with Dorian. Afterward, Langston couldn't bring herself to break up with Markko and agreed to go to the concert with him that night.

Set on taking Jessica out on the date he won, Brody tracked her down to the school gym, where she was helping Cristian with the sets for the musical. She challenged him to another basketball shootout, lost and was forced to accept their date. Meanwhile, Matthew couldn't believe he was cast as Markko and not Cole, while Destiny was still mad about getting the role of Langston. Matt and Danielle were introduced to the new "Cole," a classmate named Nate. At the coffee shop, Destiny griped to Starr about not being cast as her, and Cole was amused by the girl's aggressive attitude. Starr and Cole resumed their conversation about Markko and Langston, and Starr admitted that Langston has been cheating on Markko with Ford for a while. Cole admonished Starr for keeping this a secret from Markko. After sharing all this with Cole, Starr returned home to find out that Langston didn't break up with Markko.

Sierra Rose's custody hearing got underway, and Téa informed the judge that Schuyler is no longer vying for custody since he's not the baby's biological father. When the judge asked who is, Oliver identified himself. Kyle produced the DNA test to prove it, and Oliver insisted to the judge that he is fully prepared to take care of his child. Kyle volunteered that he is also willing to raise the baby, and they both vowed that they'll do whatever it takes. Gigi seemed affected by what they said, but Elijah argued her case to the judge nonetheless. Gigi interrupted him and announced her desire to withdraw her petition, leaving Sierra in the official care of Oliver. Afterward, Rex and Gigi wondered how it's possible that Mitch's stem cells matched Shane's. Inside, Téa finished up the paperwork on the custody case and suddenly felt woozy. Elijah lunged to help her as she collapsed.

Tuesday

Blair showed up at the Palace to find that Elijah was late for their date, while Todd and Jack were enjoying a father-son dinner. Jack called out Todd on missing Téa and doing things like hiring Kelly as a distraction. Blair joined them while waiting for Eli, and Todd couldn't help but take delight in the possibility that his ex had been stood up.

At the hospital, Elijah waited with Téa, who did not think she needed to see a doctor. Téa insisted to Greg that she just really needed to eat something and has low blood sugar. She spit out her water when the doc suggested that she could be pregnant. After arguing over her health, they ended up getting into it over Schuyler's case, until Greg made her promise to just schedule a physical and let him get back to the rest of his patients. Eli suddenly remembered that he had a date with Blair and rushed over to the Palace. Luckily, Blair was still there. Jack chuckled to himself as Todd watched Blair canoodle with Eli at their table.

Brody accompanied a less-than-thrilled Jessica to the Lifehouse concert at Ultraviolet, where Cristian and Layla were also on a date. Ford was about to text Langston when Karen showed up and asked if they could hang out, but he brushed her off. Brody seemed to be doing a good job of entertaining Jessica, until she noticed Cristian and waved for him to come over. Layla wanted to dance, and pulled Cris onto the dance floor. Brody and Jessica began to dance, too, but when the Selena song, "I Could Fall In Love" began to play, Jessica freaked and ran back to their table. She then explained to Brody that it was her and Cristian's song. When a new song began to play, she watched obsessively as Cris and Layla enjoyed themselves. Brody tried to boost her spirits by telling a romantic story about two friends of his, but he was really talking about them.

Rex and Gigi visited Allison at Statesville (where she is apparently doing time rather than her usual stay at St. Ann's). Allison told them all about Stacy's scheme to pass off Mitch's blood donation as her own, and recalled that she stored an extra sample in a soda can in the fridge at Rex's loft. Just when it seemed that she had little else to share, Allison recalled the name of a nurse who was working the night she stole Rex. As it turned out, that very nurse was still employed at Llanview Hospital.

Langston explained to Starr about Dorian's visit and why she stopped herself from dumping Markko. She told Starr that she'd even realized Markko is the one she'll spend the rest of her life with. Starr was stunned by Langston's complete turnaround. Markko and Cole returned home, and they all looked forward to a night out at Ultraviolet. When they got to the show, Langston ran into Ford and asked him to keep their relationship on the down-low. She then gave him a steamy kiss before running back to Markko and her friends. Lifehouse took to the stage and everyone exchanged telling looks, especially Langston and Ford.

Wednesday

Kelly and John met Mrs. Stevens and asked how Melinda was murdered under "your roof." Explaining that Kelly had been getting some strange phone calls, John showed Mrs. Stevens a list of calls that had been made to Kelly from the institution. Mrs. Stevens was stunned to see that the calls had come from her office, and recognized the photo of Allison Perkins. "She was here the day Melinda died," she revealed. Moments after John and Mrs. Stevens left the office, a strange person entered the room where Kelly stood alone.

Jessica rushed into Marty's office, worried that she wouldn't be able to move forward in her life. Jessica said she was upset when she saw Cris dance with Layla to "their song," adding that Brody was a nice guy but "he's just not Cristian." Marty wondered if Cris had given her any reason to hope for a reconciliation. Jessica was convinced she was still in Cris' heart, and that she and Cris would make love the night of the prom. "He's going to be the first and only man in my heart," Jessica vowed. Marty wondered if Jessica had shut off her memories on purpose, suggesting they needed to think about what Cris wants now. Marty assured her that she was her friend but as a therapist she wanted to help her see things that she might not want to see. Jessica inferred that Natalie might sTéal Marty's boyfriend, "just like she stole mine."

When Natalie quizzed Brodyabout his date with Jessica, he said it was pretty great until Cris showed up, and worried Jessica was stuck in the past forever. Still, he reported that he had gotten Jessica to agree to another date. Brody added that it was obvious how Natalie felt about John these days. As the two commiserated over their romantic problems, Marty overhead Natalie say that she thought she and John would have reconciled if Marty hadn't gotten pregnant.

When Cole wanted Langston to admit that it was over with Ford, Langston said she had broken up with Ford "last night," and begged Cole to keep his mouth shut. Cole threatened to tell Markko everything if it wasn't really over with Ford.

Hannah stopped by Cole's and spilled coffee on her new blouse. In just a bra, she asked him for an extra shirt. Todd opened the apartment door and walked in on scantily clad Hannah and Cole. "What the hell?" he asked.

Todd saw Dani and Téa walk into the restaurant. Téa wanted to leave but Dani insisted they stay, so she could tell Todd about the play she was going to be in, and that she would be playing Starr. Téa was delighted to learn she would be the lead. Dani was pleased she’d have the opportunity to rip Todd to shreds in the musical, and rattled off all the nasty things Todd had done. "I know that you hate me," Todd acknowledged, adding that he would be there for Dani someday. "I'll never need you for anything," Dani snapped as she stormed off to school. "That was horrible. Awkward," Téa said. Todd said he knew that Téa still loved him. "But you are not going to do anything about it," he said. Todd wondered if Dani letting go of her hatred toward him, would bring a reconciliation with Téa. Then Todd suggested some rewrites for the script, which Téa did not think was a good idea.

Matthew met Nate in the gym. In the musical, Nate would be playing Cole and Matthew would be playing Markko. Nate wanted to know if Dani took the musical role seriously. Matthew told Nate that Dani was "kind of” his girlfriend. When Dani and Destiny showed up in the gym, Nate wondered if it was weird that Dani was playing her own sister. Dani shook her head no.

Thursday

Surprised that Langston didn't want to buy prom tickets, Starr picked up a couple for her pal as a "you broke up with Ford" gift.

Natalie was stunned when she realized Marty had heard her say that Natalie and John would have gotten back together if Marty hadn't gotten pregnant. Marty wanted an explanation. "Is that really what you think?" Marty asked. She meant what she said, replied Nat. Marty insisted that she and John were very tight. Natalie wondered why Marty was so unhappy, but Marty pointed out that John chose her. "We're starting a family," Marty explained, calling Natalie's bid for attention "just sad." "You don't have a relationship with John," Marty added. Brody tried to break up the argument when Natalie went on and on about another kiss she had had with John after the accident on the mountain. "John is thrilled about the baby," Marty insisted. "John is never going to leave you, not as long as you are pregnant," Natalie acknowledged. As soon as Marty left, Natalie instantly regretted her harsh words. Brody assured Natalie that he understood what was motivating her bluntness. Tearing up, Natalie said that even if John did love Marty, she and John did share something special. Brody wondered if there was something he could do; Natalie promised to leave Marty alone.

Sitting at her desk, Marty was so tormented by Natalie’s words that she started throwing things around her office. Marty resisted the temptation to call John, then was surprised by Todd’s sudden appearance.

John protected Kelly from Rodney. Mrs. Stevens explained that Rodney had been there all his adult life, and hadn't spoken a word since he arrived. She added that she didn't think there was any proof that Melinda had died of anything but natural causes. John started to ask Rodney questions. Unsuccessful, he looked at Rodney's baseball cards and left his business card with him. John and Kelly left, but John believed Rodney knew something about what happened to Melinda.

Matthew predicted that Todd would soon be after faux Cole (Nate). Mr. G, the director, came in and said that some of the parents were concerned about the production; he wanted to meet with the leads. Starr relived Todd attacking Cole after they made love as she watched the scene recreated on the stage. Danielle had a hard time playing the scene, and thought that acting in the play could help her see some of the good Starr sees in Todd. Although, "Right now I hate him," Dani declared.

Langston relived, through flashbacks, some of the bad things that Todd had done to Markko. Starr flashed back to the time Todd pushed her down the stairs at the beach. "It brings it all back," Starr said as she was hugged by Langston. Nate asked Starr and Langston if they were scared with Todd still out there. Recalling some sweet moments with Markko, Langston started to cry.

Todd was stunned to see a bra-clad Hannah in Cole's apartment. "There's nothing going on here. We're just friends. Please stop," Hannah begged Starr’s irate dad, who snarled that Cole was playing her for a fool. When Todd threatened to call Starr, Cole said go ahead, and accused Todd of losing it. Todd admitted he had never wanted Cole and Starr to live together, and snarkily offered to rent a room for Hannah and Cole. Cole reiterated that he and Hannah were just friends. When Todd vowed to get his daughter away from Cole, a furious Cole pushed Todd out of his house. Hannah blubbered that the ugly incident was all her fault, then fell into Cole's arms. That’s just when an unamused Starr entered the apartment.

Cris was asked to be a prom chaperone because all the girls wanted to see him in a tux. Jessica was thrilled when Cris wanted two tickets, only to learn Cris planned to bring Layla as his date. They hadn't followed through on their plans to make love when they went to the prom together years ago, said Cris, and they weren't going to be making love after this prom, either. Jessica bought one ticket.

Friday

Natalie relived her nasty conversation with Marty, expressing her frustration by pounding a piece of meat and muttering in the kitchen. Viki wondered what Natalie was fretting over, but Natalie was just thrilled that her mother was back from London. Natalie reported that Jessica, who was going to spend the night at Clint’s had made no progress, and Brody was miserable. She also filler her mom in on her run in with Marty. "Oh dear," Viki said. Twice!

Charlie, dressed up to meet with a developer, ran into Dorian at The Palace. Dorian revealed that she was the developer he was looking for. When she explained she needed his construction expertise, Charlie grew angry, but Dorian insisted that this was real. Charlie said the project sounded interesting; Dorian replied that she wanted him to be in charge of the project, and admitted she had caused a lot of trouble for him and Viki. Charlie didn't think he'd be reconciling with Viki, but he wasn't going to give up on her. "The ball is in her court," he explained. Viki walked in when Dorian had her hand on Charlie's.

At the hospital, Rex told Gigi it looked like Bo would be okay, and
hoped the blood Stacy had left in his refrigerator would give them the answers they were looking for. Kyle showed up and said that Sierra was doing great, reminding Gigi that they wanted her to be a part of Sierra's life. Kyle confirmed that Mitch wasn't Rex's dad but that Mitch's blood had saved Shane nonetheless. Gigi promised to help Rex find answers "no matter how long it takes." Rex and Gigi wanted to find a nures, so Kyle was going to have her paged. Shortly after that the nurse showed up.

Blair and Eli finished making love and continued kissing. Eli said that he had been with Téa, she fainted and he had taken her to the emergency room. Blair hoped Téa wasn't pregnant. Eli said he thought he and Blair could really have something special.

Todd barged into Marty's office demanding to know what she was doing about her "horn dog son." He explained he had caught Cole with his "half naked girlfriend." Cole's excuse was perfectly acceptable, said Marty, adding that she was stunned that Todd, a convicted rapist, was calling Cole a pervert. Remember his plan to kidnap Hope and live happily ever after with her? Marty reminded Todd, who countered with a snide remark about John. Todd mentioned Marty's pregnancy, and when she said she was over the moon happy about being with John, Todd relied that she doesn't get to be happy when he's miserable. Todd wanted Marty and Cole to disappear for good. Marty began to punch him, accusing odd of being delusional. Todd was convinced she had returned to Llanview to get back at him. Todd accused her of making Cole seduce Starr just to stick it to "me." "And what if I did," Marty said with a half smile. Marty told Todd he ruined his own life "all by yourself." Todd moped about Dani hating him. Marty said she wasn't going anywhere. Marty reminded him that Marty, John, Cole and Starr were all going to be happy and there was nothing he could do about it. "We'll see about that," Todd said as he left her office.

Viki called Marty and commiserated about Jessica not making any progress. Marty thought they might be able to meet now. They made plans to meet at The Palace for an early dinner. Marty looked weak. Marty walked by Natalie in the hall. "Not now," Marty said. The elevator was out of order so Marty had to take the stairs. Someone then gave her a big push and she tumbled down a flight and laid there unconscious.

Hannah was very sorry she had set Todd off. Cole comforted her with a hug which was unfortunately timed with Starr's arrival home. "What's going on?" she asked. Starr saw Cole's hurt hand. Cole explained he had gotten into an argument with Todd. "What did he see?" Starr asked. Cole explained that Hannah hadn't been wearing a shirt when Todd walked in. Hannah wanted to leave as Cole explained the situation about the spilled coffee. Starr wasn't surprised that Todd would have been upset seeing Cole with a half-dressed Hannah. "Wait. You are defending him?" Cole asked. Starr said she wasn't defending him. Cole repeated everything Todd had said and done, including the fact that Todd wanted to break Cole and Starr up. Starr listened but didn't want to hear anything that Hannah had to say about her father. Hannah apologized and made it clear that she and Cole were friends. Hannah left. Starr said she wasn't mad at Hannah, she was mad at Cole. Starr was upset about the whole situation but reassured Cole that she believed him. Cole reminded Starr that Todd "was the bad guy here." Hope started to cry.
