Monday
Jared and Natalie talked about whether they could be Chloe's godparents knowing that Chloe is actually Hope. They looked at all the evidence they had proving that Chloe was Hope. "Does that mean we have to do something about it?" Natalie asked, suggesting that they destroy all the evidence.
Natalie and Jared burned the evidence and caused the fire alarm to go off. Jessica charged into their room. Natalie lied and said they were burning a picture of Jared's high school girlfriend. "I just don't know what I would do if something happened to my two little girls," Jessica said. Natalie and Jared exchanged "Uh-oh" glances. Natalie and Jared agreed that they had done the right thing. After making love, Jared asked Natalie if she was okay with what they did. They agreed that it felt right. Natalie thought this was a way to make up for Nash's death.
Jessica smiled as she went through Bree's clothes for Chloe.
Gigi tried to tell Jessica that nothing had happened between her and Brody. Rex listened in when Gigi said Brody didn't cheat on Jessica. Gigi begged Jessica to believe her. "Why?" Jessica asked. "None of this makes any sense," she continued as Rex nodded quietly on the staircase. Gig began to tell Jessica the truth about Shane and Stacy, but she had to promise not to tell anyone, especially not Rex. Once Gigi mentioned the name Stacy, Rex charged down the stairs and immediately jumped all over Gigi. Rex asked Gigi if she had had sex with Brody. Gigi dodged the question but repeated
that they (Gigi and Rex) were over. Rex left, and Gigi's parting words to Jessica were that she'd do anything for her son and hoped Jessica never had to deal with the loss of a child.
Roxy visited Shane and they talked about hairstyles. Shane reported that he'd been feeling a lot better ever since he learned Stacy was a match. Roxy muttered a few things about wishing Stacy would disappear.
Kyle said he knew who the donor was but promised never to utter his name. "This whole thing has gotten far too complicated," he said. Roxy asked for one more day. Gig and Rex approached them. "Is there something wrong with the transplant?" Rex asked. Kyle looked away. Rex wanted 5 minutes alone with Shane "where I don't have to pretend." Roxy assured Gigi that Stacy would go through with the transplant. "What do you know?" Gigi asked. Roxy made it clear that she knows Stacy is blackmailing her.
Stacy asked Schuyler to stop kissing her. "Why?" he asked. "Is it because of Rex?" he continued. Stacy hinted that she now had a chance with Rex. Schuyler tried to convince her that she doesn't even know who Rex is. Schuyler asked if Rex had really looked at her during the past few months.
"I'm real and I'm right here. Please come back to me," he begged. Schuyler tried to convince Stacy to leave Llanview together and start a new life. "Life isn't a fantasy but it can be just as sweet," he said. Stacy said she thought fate had sent her to Llanview to be with Rex. Schuyler wondered if fate hadn't sent her there to be with him. Schuyler pointed out
that Stacy just wanted what she couldn't have. "It's a drug, Stacy," he said as he left his apartment. Kyle came by to see Stacy and Schuyler returned to his apartment wondering what was up between those two.
Todd walked into his bedroom and saw Zach holding Starr hostage. She was gagged and Zach waved a gun around. Todd asked him to take his hands off of his daughter. "Just let her go," he demanded. Zach had seen pics of Todd's bedroom in the paper. Zach hinted that he might rape Starr. Zach said he'd use Starr to hurt Todd. Todd said that Starr was someone else's daughter and that John McBain was Blair's new husband. "Starr made her choice," Todd said. Todd began to leave the bedroom, pretending that he had no interest in Starr. Todd tried to make a deal with Zach by offering himself to Zach instead of Starr. Starr managed to get away and ran out. Zach admitted that prison had changed him as he aimed the gun at Todd.
Downstairs Cole, Marty and John tried to decide what to do. Cole admitted he still loved Starr and wouldn't leave. Cole said he tried to hate Starr but he couldn't. "Nothing changed, not really," he said. Cole looked up the stairs hoping that Starr would come down. John came downstairs and asked if
Marty knew of any vents in the bedroom. Cole found Starr's locket on the floor. Marty assured Cole that John wouldn't let anything that happen to Starr. Cole told his mom a little about Schuyler and that he was going to tell Todd all about Schuyler and Starr. He admitted he wanted Todd to kill Schuyler. Cole didn't think that Starr would ever take him back. Starr ran down the stairs into Cole's arms.
John saw a ceiling vent and thought that might be a way to stop Zach. He loosened the vent, climbed into it and made his way to Todd's bedroom. John walked to Todd's bedroom and grabbed Zach and wrestled him to the floor. They continued to wrestle as Todd pointed the gun and shot it.
Tuesday
Rex assured Shane that everything was fine between him and Gigi AND Stacy and Roxy. Shane didn't believe him. Rex urged his son to focus on the positive. Shane was convinced that something was up between Rex and Gigi. "I need to
know what's wrong," Shane begged.
Roxy made it clear to Gigi that she knew exactly what Stacy was up to. Roxy let it slip that Stacy wasn't even a match. "Excuse me?" Gigi asked. Roxy covered but made it clear she was aware of Stacy wanting Rex and the whole blackmail scheme. Rex joined them. "What are you talking about?" he asked. Rex brought up Gigi's night with Brody. "We have to talk to Shane," Rex said. "He knows something is wrong. We have to tell him the truth." Gigi didn't want to tell Shane the night before his transplant. Gigi said that after the transplant "everyone will know everything." "Okay," Rex said. Gigi
told Shane that she and Rex were having some problems. "We snapped at each other a lot," Gigi admitted. "That's it. Nothing else?" Shane asked.
Schuyler asked why Kyle was in his apartment. Schuyler, however, thought Kyle was Rex. Schuyler started to kick Stacy out, but Stacy quickly explained that he was Kyle Lewis, "the guy from the hospital who found out I was a match." Schuyler asked what they "were pulling off." Stacy explained that she was donating bone marrow and that Kyle was there to calm her down. Schuyler didn't believe her for a minute. Stacy wondered if Schuyler still thinks of her as scamming. Stacy walked Kyle to the door. Kyle tried to ask
about Stacy and Rex. Kyle reminded her that what he was doing was unethical and he could lose his license. Stacy was annoyed that she had to go through the bone marrow procedure even thought she's not a match. Kyle explained
that after he got to the hospital, he'd make a plan. Schuyler told Stacy he felt sorry for her because she chose a man who didn't love her over a man who does.
Back at the hospital, Kyle assured Roxy that everything was under control.
Marty, Cole and Starr heard a gun go off in Todd's bedroom. After a few moments, viewers learned that Todd had shot Zach. Cole made sure that Starr was okay. Starr got weepy and the two kids hugged. Starr asked Cole what he had wanted to tell her before everything went crazy. Cole remembered he wanted to tell her he still loved her, but he tried to find pills instead.
Talia asked Marty for the 411 on what happened. The cops took Zach away. Todd told John he could thank him for saving his life. Marty ran into John's arms. Marty was so relieved that John was okay. Starr asked about Todd. John
reported that Todd was okay but being questioned by the police. Zach told Todd that his daughter was hot. Todd had to be held back by the police or he would have gone after Zach. Starr ran into Todd's arms while Cole went to Todd's bathroom to steal some pills. He found something that looked
appealing and downed a handful. Cole told Starr he was glad that she was okay. "I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you," he added.
"Hi Marty. Remember me?" Zack asked moments before he was being brought back to jail. "I don't remember you at all," Marty replied.
Charlie hugged Viki. He thought they needed a reward for all the diaper changing they had done. Charlie invited Viki to come upstairs with her. Charlie headed upstairs. Viki answered the door. It was Clint paying her a visit. Clint told Viki that Rachel was back in town. Clint called himself an
idiot for having planned the surprise party for Matthew and asked Viki what she thought of the idea. "I think you were trying just way too hard," Viki admitted. Viki didn't think it was her place to give Clint unsolicited advice. Clint was surprised to hear that. "You can still tell me when I'm
doing something completely bull-headed," Clint insisted. Viki said she wasn't going to intrude on whatever was happening between "you, Bo and Nora." Viki told Clint to be patient and to stop trying to compete with Bo or Rachel. Viki assured him that Nora would lean on him when she could.
Charlie came downstairs and caught Viki and Clint in a hug. Charlie said hello and Clint headed home. Clint promised to call first next time. Charlie and Viki headed up to play doctor.
Nora begged Rachel to move back home. Clint overheard Nora tell her daughter that she was the one person who makes her smile. Rachel vowed to make her mom's life easier. Rachel said she felt the tension in the air between Clint and Nora. Rachel had a big hug for her baby brother Matthew. Matthew smiled for the very first time. Bo asked Nora where Clint was. "Oh he's somewhere cursing me," Nora said. Bo asked Nora to go easy on Clint. Nora knew that she owed Clint an apology. "He's trying to understand. But he doesn't. He can't," Bo explained. Nora wanted to find a woman to be there for Bo as Clint is there for Nora. "I can't worry about being happy," Bo replied. Nora wanted her ex to have love and joy in his life. Bo said his main focus was Matthew. They both agreed that Matthew would be okay. Clint walked in on that Bo and Nora bonding moment, turned and left the living room.
Wednesday
Starr was frantically looking for her locket, unaware that Cole had found it at the crime scene the night before. Markko arrived to see his buddy at rehab. "Are we still friends?" Cole asked. Markko apologized for not knowing what to say after the accident. They discussed Starr, then Cole relayed that he told Todd about Starr and her teacher's involvement. Markko couldn't believe Cole went to Todd, considering their past. Cole admitted that he's still in love with Starr. Markko started to vent about Lola when an attendant informed Cole that he was due for a drug test. Cole told Markko he
needed a favor.... Later, in the hall, Cole thanked Markko and said that he owed him. Markko said he could make it up to him by telling Starr how he really feels.
Bo and Rachel discussed Matthew's first day back to school. Matt told Bo he wasn't feeling well. Bo said he'd stay home with his son but Rachel volunteered to stay with him. As soon as Bo left, Rachel confronted Matt about ducking school. She opened up about her own past history with trying drugs and promised that he could talk to her about anything. Matthew then opened up about being stuck in a wheelchair. Rachel replied that Matthew needs to start doing things for himself.
At school, Destiny called her brother Shaun to talk to him about Matthew but he was angry that she'd called him at work. Then, Shaun found Todd talking to Starr, took her cell phone and hung up. At Todd's house, Todd stamped on his phone until it smashed into pieces, just as Téa walked in. She was angry that Todd didn't let her know earlier about Zach being back in town. Téa also couldn't believe that Todd still thinks he could win a custody suit. The talk got personal and Todd accused Tea of still having feeling for him. "Fix me," he taunted. "You know you want to." Téa slapped him. Then, Todd pulled her in for a kiss but then, he didn't kiss her. Téa grabbed him, pushed him back inside the house and slammed the door.
At La Boulaie, Starr was still angry Shaun took her phone away. Starr pointed out that Todd called her and insisted to Langston that she's fine after her ordeal with Zach. Langston noted that Cole really stepped up for Starr. She replied that she wasn't sure if Cole still cared for her or not. Langston then questioned Starr's feelings for Schuyler and wondered why he hadn't called. Langston pointed out that if he really cared about her, Schuyler would have called. "He's just not that into you," she remarked. Langston also stated that she knows Starr still has feelings for Cole. Starr thanked Langston for always telling her what she needed to hear, whether she wanted to hear it or not. They hugged. Later, Cole went and visited Starr, who smiled when she saw him.
Nora arrived at Llanview PD to question Zach and refused to allow John to be in the interrogation room. John was concerned for her safety but Nora was loaded for bear. "Don't let him get in your head," John warned. In the room, Nora got tough and chastised Zach not just for his actions but for not having any remorse. Nora then confronted Zach with evidence that indicated he could be the KAD killer — and trying to set up Todd. Zach claimed his innocence and said he'd be declared innocent, "when another body drops."
At school, Destiny came down hard on Jack and Becca, the kids who taunted Matthew that fateful night at the dance, and blamed them for his getting in the car with Cole. Destiny put the fear of God in them, stating they'd better be nice to Matthew or he might sue them and take their families for all they're worth. She then cut school to see her brother to demand her phone back. He said no way while she's crushing on Matthew. Meanwhile, the troublemakers visited Matthew and brought him a video game but he kicked them out. Becca returned, apologized, kissed Matthew on the cheek and asked him to return to school. Destiny arrived to witness the exchange.
Rachel was asked to take on Cole's case.... Bo brought Nora a bloody knife which was found under the floorboards in Zach's motel room. "Looks like we found our killer," Bo noted.
Thursday
It was baby Chloe's baptism day. At Nash's grave. Brody ran into Jessica. Brody apologized for hurting Jessica and asked her to forgive him; she did. Brody tried to explain that he wasn't with Gigi."I miss you," he confessed. "I miss you too," she agreed. Jessica and Chloe said goodbye to Nash and headed to the church.
Clint, Bree, Charlie and Viki met up in the church vestibule. Clint admitted he hadn't had time to have a heart-to-heart with Nora. Viki reminded him that Matthew had to be put first. Jared and Natalie agreed to each other to never tell anyone about Chloe being Hope.
Marcie and Michael showed up at the christening together. They agreed they both still missed Tommy. Viki wondered why Jared and Natalie had waited before agreeing to be the baby's godparents. Viki added she knew that something had been bothering Natalie for quite some time. Natalie danced
around the question and explained that Chloe had brought Jessica and her together. "She deserves those kids," Natalie said. Viki wondered what Natalie meant by "I'll make sure she'll keep them." Natalie said she'd do anything to keep her sister healthy. Natalie hugged Viki. Jared and Natalie
took the vows to be Chloe's godparents.
Bo, Nora, John and Fish met in Bo's office. They talked about proving that Zach was the killer. However, John didn't think Zach was the right guy. John said that the event at Todd's wasn't "typical of the serial killer. He would have killed Starr and Cole." John said he knew for a fact that Tea didn't kill Lee Halpern. Bo said they'd know more "when we get the test results back." Nora quickly called Clint and said she wasn't going to be able to make the christening. Clint was clearly annoyed and hung up on her. Bo told John that it was a good thing that John married Blair but warned him to
watch his back. "Manning can't be glad you are watching his kids," Bo added. Nora handed Bo the results. The print on the knife that had stabbed Blair was John's . Bo was stunned.
Cole visited Starr at LaBoulaie. Both had had nightmares the previous night of Zach holding them hostage. Cole said that seeing Starr safe was the best moment of his life. Starr smiled. Cole admitted he was at Todd's because he wanted to tell him about Starr and Schuyler. Starr frantically began to call Schuyler. "You are really hooked on this guy," Cole said
angrily. Cole tried to convince her that her teacher was too old for her. They argued a bit and then the conversation moved to baby Hope. She told Cole that there was no way their baby could have died of RH disease. Cole asked many questions, but Starr didn't want to have Hope’s body exhumed. "It's not going to bring her back," Starr sighed. Cole thought they should try to find out what happened to Hope. "She deserves a life," Starr said. Cole gently put Starr's locket around her neck. Starr left for Chloe's christening.
Cole sat by Hope's grave. At the church, Natalie and Jared watched as Starr cradled baby Chloe. Starr said she loved the baby smell. Jessica asked if Starr was doing any baby-sitting these days. Starr ran into Michael and Marcie. The last time they were in that church it was for Hope's funeral, Starr noted. Starr left on an errand. Brody watched Jessica and her
girls in the church.
Starr ran into Cole at Hope's grave. They both wanted to find out how their baby died.
Jared and Natalie visited Nash's grave and told him that Jessica would never know that their baby was actually in the cemetery near him.
Markko admitted to Langston that he gave Cole a sample of his urine for Cole's drug test. Langston read Markko the riot act as Lola listened intently. Langston told Markko that Cole was probably still using. Langston demanded that Lola "never get between me and my man" and walked off with Markko. Lola vowed to destroy them both.
Todd ordered Tea to take her clothes off. "I want you," he said with a smile. Tea kept avoiding him. However, she soon gave in and they had sex. Todd got up and told Tea she had to find the judge. Tea refused to do anything to help Todd get his kids back. Todd thought they had a deal. "I never agreed to anything," Tea smiled. Tea got dressed and told Todd that she would not be helping him. "Guess you gave yourself away for nothing," Tea added. A wistful Tea left Todd's house.
Friday
Starr and Cole met up at Hope's grave. They decided to find out together how their baby died. Cole finally admitted he understood why Starr had agreed to give their baby to Marcie. He remembered that things had been "better" between them the day that Hope was born. Cole didn't know how Marcie had managed to go to the christening and be at peace with things. "She's accepted that she's gone," Starr explained. "I don't see that happening with you and me," he replied. Starr thought that if they found out how Hope died
then maybe there "would be hope for us." Starr doubted things would ever be the same between them. Starr assured Cole that he was there for her when she was in labor. "Now I want to be there for you. I want to help you find out how our baby died," she vowed tears rolling down her cheeks. "Maybe that will bring peace back to us," she added. Cole wiped a tear from her cheek. Starr reminded him that this project must remain between just them.
Marcie and Gigi sat with Shane before his procedure. Gigi ran out when Marcie mentioned Rex's name. Marcie asked if there was something wrong between Gigi and Rex. Gigi begged Marcie to keep her secret. "Rex and I broke up," Gigi admitted to her dear friend. Marcie didn't believe her. "What happened?" Marcie demanded. Gigi said that Rex caught her in bed with Brody. Marcie's jaw dropped. Marcie said she was confused at this. "It's complicated," Gigi admitted. "You have to fix this with Rex," Marcie said. Schuyler showed up and introduced himself as a friend of Stacy's. He was sorry about what was happening with Shane. He said Stacy was with Rex. Gigi rolled her eyes slightly.
Stacy complained to Roxy about having "to do this for real." Rex wondered who Stacy was talking to. Rex hadn't heard much. He didn't know how he could repay Stacy for what she was doing for Shane. Schuyler came in with a bouquet and told Rex they (he and Stacy) lived together. Stacy kept trying
to underplay their past relationship. Schuyler wished Shane well and exited that awkward moment. Stacy told Rex that he deserved so much better than Gigi. Rex took Stacy's hand as Gigi entered the hospital room. Awkward. Stacy looked at her arm where the blood was coming out and said that that had been a little rough. Michael came in to take Stacy's blood. Stacy panicked and asked Rex where Roxy (and the real blood they needed) was.
Roxy and Kyle were with Rex's father taking his blood. Someone from the hospital showed up asking what was going on. Roxy had to keep the hospital attendant from entering the room. Kyle appeared and Roxy introduced him as "her nephew." "This patient has no brain activity," the attendant said before she left. Roxy and Kyle left Rex's father's side with a bag full of his blood. Roxy and Kyle headed to Stacy's room. Roxy charged in with news that Shane needed Gigi and Rex. They left the room. Michael also got a call. Stacy and Roxy were now alone and Roxy switched the blood. Michael returned. "This woman may just have saved your grandson's life," Michael told Roxy. Roxy wished Stacy was "as sick as a dog." Schuyler returned to Stacy's room and caught her hiding the bag of her blood.
Shane was prepped for the procedure. Gigi left Shane's room and started to cry in the hall. Roxy comforted her and said everything would be aright.
Bo and Nora were stunned that John's fingerprints were on the weapon that stabbed Blair. The Mayor showed up at the precinct and asked when Bo was going to tell him that John had married Blair so she wouldn't testify against him. Talia kept Fish from calling John with that news. Bo wondered
how the Mayor found out about the test reports. The Mayor wondered why John hadn't been arrested yet. The Mayor demanded that they pick up John. Bo interrupted and said there was not enough evidence. Bo did agree to bring John in for questioning. Fish thought that Rosen was setting John up. Talia told Bo that John had broken into Zach Rosen's room. Bo and Nora reminded them that proper procedure meant getting a court order. Bo told them to go and get John. "Somebody is setting John up," Bo said.
John came home (to LaBoulaie) and found Marty waiting for him. Marty admitted to recognizing Zach. "It came back," she said. John still didn't think that Rosen was the killer. Marty was sure John would eventually figure it out. Viewers saw that someone was lurking outside the window. Marty told John that Cole was concerned about Starr's relationship with a teacher. John knew that Starr was working after school with her teacher named Joplin. John stopped when he heard sounds outside the window. John headed out to find out
where the noise came from. Talia and Fish knocked at the front door. No one answered. Talia headed to the back of the house and was stopped in her tracks by someone she recognized. Moments later John found Talia's lifeless body floating in the pool.
