One Life To Live Recaps

Monday
Cole demanded an audience with Todd. "It's a pretty stupid move, you coming here," Todd said to the teen. Cole wanted to talk about Starr and how Todd is ruining her life. "Have you contacted my daughter?" Todd asked. Cole tried to explain that they spend that night together because Todd was about to move the Mannings to Hawaii. He insisted he loves Starr. "You are just a little creep. You wanted sex from my daughter. When I think about it, I want to break every bone in your body," Todd seethed. Cole repeated that he loves Starr. Todd scoffed that Cole could even imagine what love is. Langston and Starr stood outside of the library and realized that Cole was there. "My dad is going to kill him," a panicked Starr told Langston. Todd reminded Cole that he could always tell Ramsey that Cole shot Miles. "That would keep you away from my daughter," Todd crowed. Cole finally put the pieces together on Todd's foul attitude. "That's what this is about?
What you did to my mom? You raped her," Cole noted. "Does it make you feel better to think that I am no better than you are? I would never do to Starr what you did to my mom. I am nothing like you," Cole added, looking Todd right in the eye. A furious Todd grabbed Cole, saying, "Don't say another word. Walk out right now or you'll never walk again." Cole left the house.
Langston asked Starr if she seriously thought about the pros and cons of having an abortion. Starr admitted, "I have no idea what to do about this." Langston urged her to think about how she'd feel after an abortion. Starr predicted Todd would kill Cole if her father ever found out she was pregnant. She said she could have an abortion in New Jersey; she would need her parents' permission if she tried to do so in Pennsylvania. Starr asked Langston for her help. "I'll risk anything to make sure my dad doesn't find out," Starr vowed. Langston assured Starr that she didn't think she was a horrible person. Starr ignored that last point, saying, "I'm so stupid," and rattling off all the things she had learned about safe sex at school. "Both Cole and I were stupid," she repeated. Starr begged Langston to promise not to do anything stupid as have sex without protection. The girls then headed downstairs to satisfy Starr's craving for a jelly donut. They soon heard Cole and Todd arguing and hovered outside the door before running back to Starr's room. Starr waved the abortion pamphlet in front of Langston's face. "Now do you see why this is the only solution?" she asked.
Marcie and Shane waited for Gigi at the diner. Shane was impressed to learn that Marcie had written a book. Michael slid into the booth and brought Marcie up to date with what was happening in the ER. Michael had to tend to a new baby, so that made the couple very sad. Shane showed Michael, Markko and Marcie the comic book he had drawn about his father. Gigi arrived at the diner and caught up with Marcie. Shane didn't want to show Gigi the comic book quite yet. Gigi didn't want to dish about one of Marcie's friends, but went ahead anyway. "I think she's beautiful, smart and a bitch," Gigi said of Adriana. "I don't think she likes it that I knew Rex before she did." Marcie assured Gigi that Ariana is "really very sweet." Shane showed his mother the comic book of his father. "He was a superhero to me," he said. "Me too, sweetie," she replied, smiling at her son. Dorian arrived at the diner. "Keep digging," she said to someone on the other end of the phone.
In the boardroom at Buchanan Enterprises, Gigi told Rex that she still loves Shane's father. She then announced that she was now taking truth over dare and started to tell Rex the truth about Shane. Adriana got off the elevator at BE determined to find Rex. Dorian called Adriana and confirmed the existence of Brody, Shane's father. Dorian said she would investigate further. Adriana walked in on Gigi and Rex in the boardroom and interrupted Gigi's attempt (yet again) to tell Rex he is Shane's father. She made a snide remark that she always catches Rex and Gigi together. The affianced couple started flirting and getting all mushy so they left the boardroom. Gigi just rolled her eyes and took a deep breath. Adriana said goodbye and got on the elevator, but immediately returned to the boardroom when Rex was out of view. There, she cornered Gigi and warned her not to fool with her. "I fight for what I want," Adriana warned. Gigi assured Adriana that "Rex loves you." She added that Rex keeps telling her how lucky he is to have someone "like you." "Why were you talking about Shane?" Adriana asked. "Shane is my life. Shane likes Rex," Gigi explained. Adriana remained suspect. However, when Adriana revealed that she had been talking to Shane at the diner, Gigi asked Adriana to "stay away from both of us." Adriana reported that Shane was drawing a comic book about his father as a superhero.
She wondered how anyone could live up to the high expectations that Gigi had given Shane about his father. Gigi looked uncomfortable.
Antonio punched John after he caught John and Talia in bed together. Eddie, Antonio's partner, witnessed the incident and immediately called Ramsey.
Ramsey thought it best if "Vega and McBain work it out." Antonio continued to scream at Talia, who tried to apologize. "You are perfect for each other," Antonio announced. He pointed out that every woman who ends up with McBain ends up "either dead or damaged." Antonio told his partner Eddie to "get the hell out of here." Talia asked John how he was and she attended to his bruises. Ramsey was on the phone when Antonio stormed in. "You set me up. You wanted me to see John and Talia in bed together." "You are right,"
Ramsey replied, "I did." Antonio asked why Ramsey hadn't given him the head's up. Ramsey wanted Antonio to see the kind of man John really was, and lamented that Talia fell victim to John's "pouty stuff." Antonio thanked Ramsey for cluing him in. Talia raced in to the station and demanded to talk to Antonio, but he didn't give her the time of day. John arrived. The chill in the air dropped to arctic levels.
Tuesday
Gigi paid Rex a visit. "We were in bed," Adriana boasted. Gigi proceeded to announce that Shane is Rex's son. "I'm Shane's dad?" Rex asked. Rex blasted Gigi for not telling him right away, then threatened to sue for custody. Gigi started calling out for Shane. This turned out to be a dream — make that a nightmare — for Gigi, who suddenly woke up. Phew.
Adriana and Rex really were in bed but they were interrupted with a call from Dorian, who had news about Brody Lovett. "Is he the father of Gigi Morasco's son?" Adriana whispered to her mother. Rex returned to the room, thereby stopping the convo. Switching gears, Adriana suggested that Marcie man the guest book at the wedding, instead of serving as a bridesmaid. Then Rex got a call. "Let me guess...Gigi?" Adriana said snidely. Rex said it was Buchanan Enterprises on the phone. He went in to shave and Adriana placed a mysterious call. "I need you to drop everything. I really need your help," she pleaded. Layla raced over ready to help. She thought the fact that Brody existed was good news. Adriana wasn't that convinced. She still feared that Gigi may drop the bomb that Rex is Shane's dad.
Charlie and Viki had breakfast with Shane. They discussed the front page exposé on Clint in the newspaper. Charlie wondered if perhaps the story was untrue. Viki said she knew for a fact the story was true. She wondered to Gigi how Clint could have gotten that dirt. Gigi hadn't a clue as she's not privy to top secret information at BE. (Hmmm.) Viki returned to the kitchen, ready to go to work. "I can't believe I was married to that man for so many years. I am so disappointed in him," she shared with Charlie. Charlie pointed out that sometimes people grieve for the person they loved by becoming them. Viki pondered that remark.
Charlie volunteered to come to school with Shane for "Grandfather's Day."
Gigi came in and awkwardly smiled when she heard about that arrangement.
Back at BE, Rex asked Gigi to come to his wedding. Gigi said she had plans with Shane, but after some pleading, Rex got her to change her mind.
Lindsay made sure Clint would keep her identity as his source a secret. "I don't think people think of us as friends," Clint said as Lindsay handed him a file of dish on Calvin Jenkins. Clint said he wasn't going after Calvin's family. "That's a choice," Lindsay shrugged. Rex showed up at Clint's office. "I want you to find out everything you can about Calvin Jenkins," Clint instructed him. Rex left. Nora stormed into Clint's office. "What kind of relationship do you think we have?" she asked as she threw the newspaper on his desk.
At the diner, Bo joined Matthew and Nora for breakfast. Apparently, Matthew was performing at school. Nora was surprised to learn that Clint knew about the newspaper article before it went to press. "How can this be true?" Nora asked. "Better ask Clint," Bo responded. Matthew rehearsed his speech on leadership. Bo and Nora looked at him proudly. Lindsay showed up at the diner and hoped Bo wasn't upset about the article. Bo wondered where Clint might have gotten all that information. Lindsay remained — ahem — silent. Dorian was delighted that Lindsay helped Clint take down those usurpers. Lindsay shushed Dorian, as she wanted to keep her role as the source a secret. Then she wondered how Todd had found out all that stuff about Clint. Lindsay tried to get some dirt about Jenkins from Dorian, but wasn't successful. Lindsay headed home to start dinner for Bo. Dorian placed a call to Calvin. "The Buchanans have deemed you untouchable. Buchanan Enterprises is ours for the taking," gloated Dorian to Calvin. Dorian then called Adriana, who was most irritated at her mother's delay in returning her calls. She shared that she had found a Brody Lovett from Niles, Michigan, but quickly added she was far too busy to go there. Adriana immediately enlisted Layla for the job. Layla was not amused.
Jessica's call woke up Nash in his hotel room, and she realized Sarah was awake, too. The two were half-dressed in their sleeping clothes. Jessica tried to calm Cristian down — he was upset to learn they were together. She tried to convince Cristian to trust Sarah and Nash. Cristian suggested they go to the diner for a change of scenery. In California, Nash and Sarah realized that the people at the event they had attended thought they were married. Sarah awkwardly asked Nash if he thought she was hot. "Okay," Nash said, "you're hot." Nash clarified that she's not hot to him. Sarah hopped up and wanted to find her phone to call Cristian. At the diner, Carlotta thought it was quite peculiar that Sarah and Nash were together in Napa. Jessica saw the front page of the newspaper. "I think Todd has gone too far," Jessica commented. Sarah called Cris and that seemed to calm his concerns.
Wednesday
At school, Starr kept reading her abortion pamphlet. Markko was shocked to learned that Cole had gone to see Todd. "He hates me more than ever," Cole added. Starr stunned Langston with the news that she was going ahead with the abortion. Langston thought Cole deserved to know about the pregnancy before Starr did something rash. A distraught Starr tried to figure out what to do. She bumped into Cole, burst into tears and ran off. Back in her room, Starr told Langston that Cole told her he loves her "and still wants to be with me. I'm doing it today." Starr asked Langston to swap identities for a while.
Clint didn't see what the article in the Sun had to do with "us" — us being he and Nora. He added that he's not ashamed of his recent business actions. Nora was stunned to think Clint was proud of what he did. "I'm proud to be a Buchanan," Clint explained. "I did this for the family." Clint couldn't give Nora details, however. "You don't want me to know how low you were willing to go?" she asked. "I had to act in kind," he clarified. "Nora, I'm not Bo. And I have the suspicion that this is what this is really about." Nora apologized. Clint noted Bo didn't approve. "He's always been a by-the-book kind of guy. That's why he divorced you," Clint said. Nora felt that was a cheap shot. Clint tried to explain that Asa would have wanted Clint to do what he had to do. He said he was the same man Nora kissed at the ranch. Jared applauded Clint for what he did. "I'm sorry Asa never got the chance to meet you. He would have been proud," Clint told Jared. "How are we going to make this work?" wondered Bo to his big brother. "I think our styles could compliment each other. But I hope you don't resort to this again."
Natalie shocked Jessica when she confirmed the Sun story to her sister.
Jared spoke up and said he thought Clint's behavior was just fine. Natalie got a call filling her in on the squad room gossip — that Talia and John had been caught in a hotel room. Natalie brought Jess and Jared up to speed on what her police pal had said. Jessica felt bad for Antonio. "This just does not seem like John," Natalie said. Jessica wondered if Jared had given Clint that dirt on his business adversaries. Jared said no. Natalie asked Jessica to try to get the scoop on Todd's sources for the story. Jessica left. Natalie and Jared continued to spar for a while, then Jared left. John paid Natalie a visit. Natalie wondered why John had a face full of bruises. "What's going on?" she asked. John realized that Natalie heard about the motel incident. Jared eavesdropped on the sweet interaction and made a grimace. John kissed Natalie's hand. Natalie asked him what was really going on. "Things just happen," John said.
Ramsey told Antonio his "future is looking very bright here. The two of us have a common goal. Get rid of John McBain." Ramsey wondered what Talia's problem was. "What, you not rich enough?" Ramsey asked. "I don't know what she's thinking," Antonio admitted. Antonio ran into Talia on his way out of Ramsey's office. He accused her of taking advantage of him and "using me as a stepping stone. Are you going to work through the rest of the department?" Talia pushed him as the rest of the department looked on. Jessica popped into the squad room to see Antonio. She saw Talia and things were tense between the two women. "Do you have any idea how much Antonio cared for you?" Jessica wondered. Talia pointed out that Jessica had treated Antonio very badly herself. Antonio walked in on the showdown. "This I love. Two women fighting over a man neither one of them wants," Antonio quipped. Antonio was short with his ex-wife, asking Jessica to please go home to Nash.
At the diner, John told Cristian he had been in a fight with Antonio. Cris asked what the fight was about. "He found us together in a motel room," John confessed. "You took my brother's girlfriend to a motel room?!" said a stunned Cris. He and John were ready to "take it outside" but Bo came between them. Nora arrived for lunch at the diner and heard about John and Antonio. Cole showed up but dodged into the kitchen when Ramsey came to order coffee. Ramsey wanted to make sure Nora would prosecute Buchanan Enterprises' business shenanigans, but Nora said she was sure what happened at BE was legal. Ramsey then tracked down Cole. "You slept with the wrong girl at he wrong time. I know what you did," Ramsey taunted.
Thursday
Cole was convinced "something is wrong with Starr. It's written all over her face." Markko didn't think anything was wrong. Blair interrupted their conversation and asked for a few moments with Cole. "Do you really want to go to prison?" She asked bluntly. Blair begged Cole to play by Todd's rules. "Maybe things will lighten up a bit," she offered. Cole asked how Starr was. "She is as miserable as you are," Blair admitted. However, she remained hopeful that things might change with Todd.
Meanwhile, Todd asked Sean for the 411 on Starr. "I can't remember the last time I heard your daughter laugh," the bodyguard reported.
Starr and Langston agreed to switch places so Starr could head to New Jersey to get an abortion. Langston used a wig and Starr's favorite outfit to wear. She put on the Starr outfit as Starr made plans to sneak out of the house. Starr gave Langston the address of the clinic in case something went wrong. "I'll be thinking of you the whole time," Langston said as she gave Starr a big hug. The great escape didn't go as planned...Ramsey dropped by the house to meet with Todd. Todd called for Sean, and the coast was no longer clear for Langston and Starr to escape. However, once Ramsey and Todd were in the library, Langston and Starr were able to leave. Foiled again — Blair returned home and Starr had to duck out. After many false starts, a sad Starr boarded the bus for Atlantic City.
Todd handed over copies of statements from himself and Gigi detailing all of Ramsey's misdeeds. "These will go to the DA if anything happens to me, Gigi or her kid," Todd warned the commissioner. "I wish you could realize how little you appear on the radar," Ramsey said. "Who let you in?" Blair said nicely. (Not really.)
Nash and Sarah were on a plane heading back to Llanview and their lives.
Nash thought that Sarah should start her own events planning company. "I think you are a risk taker," he noted. Nash told Sarah she did a great job. The two parted.
Jared interrupted a tender moment (or what appeared to be) between John and Natalie. Jared was more than eager to see the detective leave Natalie's office. However, Natalie showed Jared the door. "You are so tight with Talia, but you almost kissed me," she pointed out to John. Natalie asked Jared why he was asking so many questions about the conversation between Natalie and John. Jared admitted it tortures him when he sees Natalie and John talking.
Natalie suggested he take a cold shower. "Do you really want to go back with John after Talia?" he asked. "Still want him?" he asked again. Jared almost went in for a kiss when Sarah barged in. "I'm here. Stop leaving those messages. What's with you two?" Sarah asked her second cousin and uncle. Natalie got on Sarah's case for not returning her calls and then wondered why she had gone off to Napa with Nash. Sarah hemmed and hawed, signed some papers and ran off to see Cris.
Jessica tried to give Antonio a pep talk "about deserving someone special,"
but he wasn't interested. Antonio pointed out that Nash and Sarah were in Napa "working." "Do you trust them?" Antonio asked. Jessica laughed that off. Antonio pointed out that Tess and Sarah were both pretty blondes who liked to party. Jessica was sad that Antonio needed to speak that way to her. Jessica left the station and headed to the diner. She and Nash reunited but were interrupted by Sarah, who had a message for Nash. (It's worth noting that Sarah hadn't even taken the time to say hello to Cristian.) Jessica and Cris tried to console each other but fortunately Sarah eventually had warm hugs and kisses for Cris. Jessica returned to Nash's table and smiled.
Friday
Layla tried to convince Adriana to stop worrying about Gigi. She reminded
her friend that Gigi insisted Brody was Shane's dad. Dorian did her best to
assure Adriana that Gigi wouldn't ruin the wedding. Adriana remained
convinced that Gigi was hiding something and suspected that it involved
Shane. Rex came home. Layla and Adriana told Rex they were going on a
business trip. "It's really important for our future," she claimed. (They were
actually heading to the Michigan to visit Brody's family.) Gigi knocked on the door.
At the clinic, a jittery Starr dropped the clipboard with the forms she was
to fill out. Starr remembered the night she and Cole made love. Starr was
called into the procedure room. Meanwhile Cole was racing down the
expressway hoping to find Starr "and find out what this is all about," he
said to Markko on his cell phone. "Are you ready, Starr?" the doctor asked.
Starr nodded. "Then let's begin." Cole charged in to the clinic and asked for Starr. He noted that it was an abortion clinic and began pounding on all the doors hoping to find her before it was too late.
Jared asked Gigi to go to Rex's and work on a project with him. Gigi didn't
want to. She wanted to go home and spend time with Shane. Enter Viki and
Charlie (and Shane) who wanted to take Shane to the Phillie's game. Charlie
asked Jared how things were with Natalie, "as now she knows what you did." Charlie warned his son to be careful. Both men discussed their romantic futures once the truth that Jared wasn't a Buchanan hit the airwaves. Jared accepted the fact that he might even have to go back to prison. "Won't be forever. Then Natalie and I can start afresh," Jared said optimistically. Gigi headed over to Rex's to bring him some Buchanan files. Gigi asked what time the wedding was. "You invited Shane and Gigi to the wedding?" Adriana asked. Adriana was furious and asked Layla to keep an eye on them. "Just pretend I'm not even here," Layla said to Gigi and Rex. Layla's eyes bore holes into them, however. "I don't think she likes me," Gigi whispered. Adriana came home and sent Layla off to the airport to join Dorian on the plane to Michigan. Rex got a call from Roxy, who demanded he come and see her. He exited which left Gigi and Adriana alone. Adriana started in on
Gigi. "Stay the hell away from my man," she growled.
Shane, Viki and Charlie went to the diner where Charlie was to meet Dorian
and Roxy for some wedding planning. Shane met Dorian for the first time and
he innocently let it slip that he and his mom were invited to the wedding.
Adriana raced in and demanded Dorian's attention. She told Dorian she would
be going to Michigan with Layla, in her place. Shane announced that he
didn't like Adriana. "She asks questions about my father and it makes my mom
sad," he said. Viki tried to explain that brides get a little nervous.
"Bitchy," Roxy chimed in.
Natalie returned to her office and began bantering with Jared. He continued
to question her as to why she was keeping his secret. Natalie reminded him
she was keeping the secret for the family. Jared was convinced that she
still felt the same way about him, but she claimed she didn't. Miles popped
in and asked Natalie out for a drink. Jared was jealous.
Langston tried to explain that she dressed up like Starr so Sean wouldn't
follow them. Cole demanded that Langston tell him the truth. "I know what's
going on with Starr," Cole said confidently. Cole was convinced that Starr just ran away. Langston was surprised at that suggestion, which made Cole insist even more that Langston tell him where Starr was. Langston handed
Cole the address in Atlantic City. "Just get there fast," she advised. Langston
and Markko kissed and agreed to meet later at the diner. She slipped
into a booth and hid from Sean. "Hey, Starr," he said nice and loud so Sean
would hear him.
