Monday
Todd tried to seduce Blair when she asked him for help with her necklace. They kissed and made their way to the bed, even though she was late for work at Capricorn. After making love, Blair asked Todd if he might consider backing off Starr a little and suggested he go have some quality time with his daughter. Meanwhile, Cole arrived at the abortion clinic in Atlantic City and realized what was about to happen. He began banging on every door and yelling for Starr, who was lying on a hospital bed. "Cole?" she cried out. A clinic administrator threatened to call the police, but Starr came out crying and rushed into Cole's arms. Cole asked if he was too late and Starr shook her head. Before she returned to the examining room, Cole asked her to wait. He acknowledged that terminating the pregnancy is her decision but, if she's doing it only to protect him, that's not a good enough reason. The doctor agreed that this is an important decision and said there's still time to have the abortion should she decide on it. He asked her to take her time and think about how she would feel 20 or 30 years down the road about this. They had amassed an audience, and another woman advised Starr not to go through with the abortion if she isn't sure. Starr hugged Cole and said she wouldn't go through with it, much to his relief.
Roxy was surprised to hear that Rex left Gigi and Adriana alone together in his loft. Roxy suggested that Gigi's still got the hots for Rex and asked why he would invite Gigi and Shane to the wedding without telling Adriana first. Rex told Roxy that she was making something out of nothing. "Don't do anything to upset that sweet, rich ... really sweet woman of yours," she warned. Back at the loft, Adriana was all over Gigi for her involvement in Rex's life. Rex arrived before things could get out of hand and asked what he missed. Adriana lied that she had offered to lend Gigi a dress for the wedding and was upset that Gigi refused. When Rex brought up Shane's award-winning comic book project, Adriana mentioned that she'd seen it and it was "so sweet" that Shane made a whole comic book about a father he never knew. Gigi took that as her cue to leave. Adriana later remarked to Rex that Gigi wasn't over Shane's father. Not wanting to talk about it, Rex kissed his fiance and they got down to some passionate lovemaking.
Jared wasn't too happy to find Miles in Natalie's office with all those confidential BE papers around and asked him to leave. Natalie returned and was furious to find that Jared was trying to kick out her friend. She took Miles's arm and escorted him out for some tequila at Capricorn. Afterward, Gigi returned to the BE offices and asked Jared if there was anything else she could do for him. Jared told her to go home, but then changed his mind and invited her out for a drink.
At the diner, Langston nervously waited in her Starr costume while Markko distracted Shaun. Todd called Shaun and told him to wait with Starr at the diner. Meanwhile, Cole drove Starr home and they agreed to figure things out as they go. Markko phoned Cole to warn him that Todd's on his way to meet Starr at the diner. Langston ducked into the bathroom so that Todd wouldn't see her dressed as Starr. Todd asked Markko how long Starr was going to be in the bathroom and noted that the last time Markko looked so nervous was when Todd found him hiding in Starr's closet. Todd headed for the bathroom, where the real Starr (and Cole) happened to conveniently be hiding. Starr had changed into Langston's clothes and came out to join her dad, while Markko found Cole and Langston and asked if everything was okay. "It's going to be," Cole told his friends.
Cristian was thrilled to see Sarah at Capricorn. Meanwhile, Eddie pointed out John and Talia's arrival to Cristian and Antonio. "McBain can have her," Antonio sneered. Sarah asked Talia what she was doing there and suggested she and John go someplace else. Talia essentially told her to deal with it. Blair arrived and noticed the trouble brewing between John and Antonio. Miles and Natalie ran into Rex and Adriana, who Natalie later joked had a "death grip" on Rex. Miles cracked that the fun was really about to start when Jared and Gigi walked in. Rex commented to Adriana that Gigi could do so much better than Jared. Blair approached John's table and asked him to talk to Cole again about the whole Starr/Todd thing. After Blair returned to the bar, Talia wanted John to dance with him and pushed him behind a curtain when he refused. Natalie asked Jared what he was doing there with Gigi, who was nervous that this might affect her job. Natalie pulled Jared away from the table and asked if this was supposed to make her jealous. "Is that?" Jared asked, pointing to Miles. Natalie assured Jared that Miles is just her friend. The tension was boiling as John and Talia canoodled in the corner. Cris decided to break it up by throwing a punch at John.
Tuesday
Everyone at Capricorn watched as Cristian threw a punch at John. McBain fought back and the guys crashed into a nearby table. During the ruckus, Adriana received a call from Dorian on her "hunting trip" to find out some information about Gigi's late ex-boyfriend, Brody. Adriana told her mom to visit Brody's family that night. Eddie called Ramsey to tell him about the fight at Capricorn and asked if he should break things up. Ramsey instructed him to stop the melee and bring the guys down to the station. Gigi got knocked over and Rex ran to her side, which Adriana wasn't too happy about. While throwing a punch at John, Cristian accidentally hit Eddie instead. "Big mistake, Vega," Eddie announced. "You're under arrest." Back at the penthouse, Ramsey requested that his mystery guest's aide stay a little longer. She asked if the call he'd just received was "optimistic," and he answered, "I guess you could say that."
Blair told everyone at the club to calm down and offered a round of free drinks. Adriana watched as Rex hovered over Gigi, who'd gotten a little scrape in the scuffle. Adriana commented on how it's funny when life "knocks you on your ass." Jessica arrived and asked Natalie what she missed. She was shocked to hear that the fight was between Cristian and John, and that John had brought Talia to Antonio's club. Adriana encouraged Jared and Gigi to enjoy their night together so that she could have Rex all to herself. Rex grew increasingly more frustrated as Adriana talked breathlessly about the wedding and their honeymoon. They cuddled up to kiss but Rex was distracted by Gigi's giggling in the distance. Rex expressed his concern that Jared is no good for Gigi, prompting Adriana to go on an anti-Gigi tirade. Rex was shocked by Adriana's acerbic comments but understood that Gigi was becoming a problem.
In Niles, MI, Dorian and Layla arrived at the family home of Brody Lovett to a very unfriendly woman. Dorian and Layla lied that they are friends of Gigi Morasco and are looking for Brody's mother. The woman introduced herself as Brody's sister, Nadine, and said their late mother couldn't stand Gigi, who Brody dated before he shipped out with the Navy. Nadine invited them in and the women realized Nadine did not know Gigi was pregnant when she left town. Dorian offered her a little cash to find out what Nadine was hiding about their mother. She admitted that about a month after Brody went overseas, Mrs. Lovett called Gigi to the house to tell her he'd died, but the truth is: He's alive. Nadine said her mother really didn't like Gigi and just wanted her out of the picture. Meanwhile, Brody returned home to find that Gigi had left town, so he re-enlisted in the service, which took him to Norfolk, VA. Dorian called Adriana at Capricorn to share this latest discovery. When Rex returned to their table, Adriana lied that Layla had called with good news about her business trip. Rex remarked that the call had clearly put her in a better mood.
Cristian was hauled downtown, followed by a concerned Jessica. Meanwhile, Ramsey chastised Talia for "fraternizing her way through the entire department" and Antonio stood silently while Ramsey humiliated his ex. Afterward, Ramsey promised Antonio that no charges would be pressed against his brother. Back at the club, Blair played nurse to John in a private room. As she tended to his bruises, she noticed that there were more than the ones he'd gotten tonight. She brought up Cole and how much he looks up to John, suggesting that John stop acting like a jackass. Natalie and Miles returned to their table and Natalie immediately started theorizing on John's out-of-character behavior. Miles expressed his gratitude for Natalie's friendship but lamented it's time he stop relying on other people. Talia returned to the club and informed Blair and John that Cristian is in lockup. Natalie sauntered over and offered that the Vegas are pretty on edge these days, but Talia didn't buy that as an explanation for the fight. Natalie and Miles left the club together, passing Gigi and Jared on their way out.
At the station, Jessica told Antonio she doesn't understand what's going on as Cristian was led away in handcuffs by Eddie. She said Bo would never let this happen and Antonio agreed that a better man wouldn't. Back at the penthouse, Ramsey was working on something on his computer when his guest's aide bid him good-night. Once she was gone, he ascended the spiral stairs and remarked to his guest that it must feel good to be home.
Wednesday
Jessica and Nash's morning make-out session was interrupted by a call from
Sarah, who'd slept at Cristian's loft and was worried when he didn't come
home. Jess informed her cousin that Cristian spent the night in jail. Sarah
was furious that no one had told her, while Nash was upset that Jessica
wanted to be at the station for Cristian's release. Jess explained that
she's been so distanced from the Vegas that it feels nice to be friends with Cristian again, so Nash decided to head to the station with her.
As John theorized about Ramsey's proclivity to investigate cases involving a large sum of cash, Antonio came down on Cristian for attacking his
colleagues. He then criticized Talia for caring only about herself. Before
heading to work, Ramsey came bounding down his penthouse stairs and commented to the aide on what a beautiful day it was. He also remarked that "she" (i.e., the woman upstairs) is beautiful.
Todd tried to impress Blair with his attempt to spend quality time with
Starr, who was upstairs worrying about her baby bump and whether she'd done the right thing by not having the abortion. Blair came up to see what was taking the girls so long to get ready for school. Langston excused herself, and Blair asked Starr why she hadn't been eating breakfast. Starr insisted that she didn't have some kind of eating disorder. Langston headed to the kitchen for some juice and Todd started asking her weird questions, starting with Markko's interests, her favorite subject and ending with how often Starr sees Cole. Langston tried to make Todd see that Cole is a good person and cares about Starr.
Blair asked how her night with Todd was, and Starr told her it was a
nightmare, that her dad rushed into the women's bathroom at the diner. Blair assured Starr that their home wasn't a prison but that it would take some time to fix things with Todd. "I don't have — " she blurted out, stopping herself before she could say anything more. Her mom told Starr if there's something bothering her, she can say it. "You mean it? You promise that if I tell you anything, you won't tell Dad?" It seemed that Starr might reveal her secret to her mom. "Is it about Cole?" Blair asked. Starr shook her head, saying, "I don't know what to do." Blair urged her to just spit it
out. "Mom, I'm..." she began to say just as Todd walked in with a tray of
breakfast. Starr looked like she was about to vomit when she saw the food,
so Blair left with the breakfast, leaving Todd for some one-on-one time with
Starr. Todd went on to apologize for the way he treated her at the diner and
shocked Starr with his offer to let her see Cole in six months if they keep
their distance in the meantime. He went to give her a hug but she didn't
want to be touched. "Six months," she sighed to herself once he'd gone.
As Cole explained to Markko that he needs a lot of cash and some fake IDs,
Markko guessed that Starr was pregnant. He said he'd noticed that Starr had stopped drinking coffee and looked queasy every morning. Cole admitted that it was true and started talking about how this baby would be the only family he has in the world. Markko agreed to check into who can get them fake IDs and promised to stay quiet about Cole's plan.
Sarah arrived at Cristian's cell and explained that she freaked out when she didn't find him in bed. She started to berate herself for not being there
for him and he remarked that she was too busy with Nash and their conference call. When she explained how worried she was about him, he apologized and gave her a kiss. Sarah talked back to Ramsey when he said her bail money was no good. Ramsey explained that no charges would be pressed against Cristian, so a surprised Cris and his entourage left. Ramsey warned John that he's
still keeping an eye on him. Cole arrived and asked John for a loan under the guise of needing it for football camp. Meanwhile, Todd excitedly told Blair about his deal with Starr and she was so proud of him. "You're so great," she cooed as she showered him with kisses. Upstairs, Starr caught up Langston about Todd's offer and Langston had to calm her down. She handed Starr a letter from Cole saying how glad he was that he stopped her from getting the abortion and they could give their baby an awesome life. Langston hugged Starr as she started to cry. Antonio thanked Ramsey for letting Cristian off, and Ramsey said it was all worth it to see John bruised and bloodied. Michael arrived and asked to speak with Antonio privately, then very loudly announced that Jamie is sick.
Thursday
Rex didn't want to get out of bed after making love to Adriana. He did,
however, and after he got up, Adriana called Dorian, who was sitting in her
limo. Dorian reported that she's had no luck finding Shane's father, Brody,
but she wasn't giving up the quest. Adriana returned to Rex and kissed him,
but he said he had to see a guy about a file.
At Llanview P.D., Michael went to see Antonio — not about his fight with
John but that Antonio's daughter is sick. He reported that Jamie has a
serious neurological disorder. Both John and Talia eavesdropped on the
conversation, as did Ramsey. Michael lowered the boom when he said the
condition isn't covered by Antonio's insurance and the hospital needs some
type of guarantee that payment will be made before they can begin treatment.
Antonio cleared off his desk in a fit of anger and Ramsey summoned Antonio
to his office. Ramsey told Antonio to take the rest of the day off. Antonio
ignored Talia on the way out. Talia felt terrible for Antonio. Ramsey made a
mysterious phone call and mentioned Antonio's name. Antonio took Jamie for
ice cream, unaware that Ramsey was watching them.
Clint and Bo prepared to meet with Calvin Jenkins, who's company planned to
purchase Buchanan Enterprises. Bo suggested that he play "Good cop" with
Calvin. When Calvin showed up, Bo brought up fond memories of a past hunting
trip, reminded him that Asa gave Jenkins his start in business and gave him
a photo of the three of them. Calvin then stepped outside to make a call. Bo
told Clint he thinks his tactic may have worked. Calvin's phone call ended
up being to Dorian. She blackmailed Calvin into going through with the
takeover effort of B.E. Bo returned to his office to find a dejected Calvin,
who noted that everything is not fine. Calvin said he can't back off and Bo
was suspicious about who he called. Clint acknowledged the exchange and said
they need to know who Calvin is in business with.
Gigi was disheartened to learn that Shane's comic book/graphic novel
features a villainess that resembles Adriana. Gigi then surprised her son
with new markers. When Nora and Renee noticed the villainess's resemblance
to you-know-who, Gigi cut them off and stated it was patterned after Eva
Longoria.
Leyla got into the limo with Dorian, and they tracked Brady down to a seedy
dive bar. As they women cautiously entered, Dorian spotted a military man
who she thought might be Brody. Adriana called and her mother reported
success. Dorian then approached the soldier and asked if they could speak.
He offered to get them a table. "Perfect," Dorian cooed.
Rex went to see Clint but ended up arguing with Gigi. She asked Rex to stay
out of her life and said that she and Shane weren't coming to his wedding.
Just then, Clint entered. Rex showed him the papers and Clint told Rex he'd
hit the mother lode. Afterward, Gigi told Rex she didn't want to attend the
wedding because she's afraid Shane will get hurt but Rex vowed to be there
for Gigi and Shane as long as they wanted him to be.
Friday
After Calvin decided to pursue a B.E. takeover, Clint and Bo strategized
what to do next, bringing in Natalie and Jared to brainstorm. While Clint
mulled calling in Balsom investigations, in the next room, sparks flew between Natalie and Jared. They nearly kissed, but Gigi interrupted.
At the seedy bar, Dorian and Layla were appalled to learn that Brody isn't
the clean-cut soldier they were speaking with; He was the scruffy guy
engaged in a barroom brawl. After knocking out his opponent, Brody retired to the back room and refused to leave.
At the spa, a towel-clad Todd and Blair snuck into the steam room to get
their "blood pumping," unbeknownst that someone was already using the steam. When the towels came down, the naked duo were surprised to see Cristian sitting there. After a few body jokes, Cris informed Blair that he is out of jail after punching John. Then, Cris asked about Starr. Todd suspected that Blair set up the meeting with Cris, since he was dispensing advice about dealing with Starr and Cole. She insisted she didn't, but Todd should listen to Cris's sage advice. Todd exposed himself once more as Cristian left, then the Mannings resumed their steam room tryst.
Marcie introduced Shane to Lindsay and he showed her his comic book. Lindsay was very impressed. They couldn't help but notice Adriana's resemblance to Shane's villainess. Marcie mentioned to Lindsay that Adriana still hasn't asked her to be in the wedding. Shane spat that it's because Adriana is a mean girl.
Adriana called Gigi to make sure their were no misunderstandings between
them. Adriana insisted she wants Gigi at the wedding, then chuckled under
her breath that Gigi was in for the shock of her life. Bo interrupted and
asked Rex if he wants Charlie to be his best man but Rex reiterated that he
wants Bo. Then, Bo slipped about the info he'd given Clint. Rex refused to
give up the details but Bo was ticked that Clint wasn't keeping him in the
loop. Bo confronted his brother and the two had it out over ethics.
At school, Markko gave Cole cash for his planned run. Cole went off to cash
his paycheck and Markko wished his friend good luck. Cole saw Jared, who
loaned him some extra cash. Cole promised to pay it back and split. Jared then caught Rex going through files. Rex told Jared to stay away from Gigi, which certainly didn't sit well with her. Cole caught up with Starr and said
he was prepared to take care of her and the baby.
Lindsay presented Clint with info about Calvin's son's dirty dealings, while Rex's file contained smear material on Calvin's other son.
Marcie and Shane surprised a negligee-clad Adriana with a copy of Shane's comic book for Rex. He wasn't home but Adriana feigned interest, then asked Marcie to.... handle the guest book at the wedding. Dorian rang and ordered her daughter to come and see Brody before bringing him to Llanview. Adriana reluctantly agreed and planned to take Shane's comic book with her.
Dorian and Layla confronted Brody, who was surprised to learn that Gigi
never married. He was not shocked to learn that she is pregnant. When
Adriana showed up, Brody mistook her for Gigi and planted a big kiss on her.
Jared sought out Natalie and convinced her that if she really had no
feelings for him, then a kiss between them would mean nothing. To prove that point, they kissed — passionately.... Rex told Gigi that Jared was playing her and they came perilously close to a kiss.
