Monday
Cole tried to convince Starr to run away with him, but she thought his idea was crazy and would never work. Starr reminded Cole that she now has a bodyguard, which will make it difficult for her to run. Cole tried to convince her that he wants to be a good dad and provide for a real family. Starr shared that she had run away in the past and "it was awful." Cole proposed to Starr, but she didn't want to leave Llanview and have the baby without her mother. Markko interrupted. "I just can't do it, Markko. I just can't," she said as she walked off. After talking to her Aunt Viki, however, Starr changed her mind and returned to Cole. "You are my family now," she insisted as she kissed him. "We have to leave tonight," he said.
Rex and Gigi argued over Jared. Rex recreated how Jared must talk to Gigi.
Rex leaned in and looked into Gigi's eyes. He went in for a kiss, which Gigi slapped him for. "I was being Jared. It didn't mean anything," Rex claimed.
Gigi accused him of trying to play her. Shane and Marcie popped in. Shane wanted to show Rex the second edition of his comic book. Rex saw that Evelyn Evil looked just like Adriana, as Marcie and Gigi looked uncomfortable. Rex didn't seem bothered by the resemblance between Ms. Evil and Adriana. Gigi told Marcie that Rex almost kissed her. Marcie asked if the almost-kiss "meant anything to you." Gigi didn't answer directly, but admitted in her charming, rattled way that she still cares for Rex. "I loved him then. I thought it had died," Gigi confided to her friend. "There's nothing I can do about it. I just have to try to get over it," she added. "I'm just some fling he had 10 years ago." Marcie told Gigi that guys stress out before they get married, and she thought the almost-kiss almost happened for a reason. Rex returned and Marcie left, thereby leaving them alone "to talk." Rex wanted to talk about Shane's father. "Why do you get all weird when I bring the guy up?" Rex asked. He confided that Shane told him he wants to know more about his dad. A flustered Gigi didn't know what to say. "It's not your business, Rex," she mumbled. Rex thought it was because perhaps Shane's father wasn't a hero after all. "It hurts too much," Gigi said as she left the office, barely able to breathe. Shane asked his mother what was wrong. "Nothing," she faked. Shane asked if it was okay to ask one question about his dad. "What was he like?" he asked. Gigi said she cherished every moment she had with him.
In Michigan, Brody pulled Adriana into a wild kiss. Dorian pulled them apart and Brody realized that she wasn't Gigi. Adriana thought Gigi would be thrilled to learn "that you are alive and well." Brody wasn't interested in going to Llanview to be reunited with Gigi and his long-lost son. Adriana showed him the comic book his son had made. Brody said he wasn't a hero. The soldiers who didn't come back, they were the heroes.
Adriana sang Gigi's praises. Brody wondered if Gigi "had gotten fat." Dorian reported that Gigi was a stunning young woman. Brody wondered why Gigi wasn't "here herself." "Gigi thinks you are dead," Adriana explained. She said they were there for Shane and began to explain that they wanted to find out about medical benefits. "She needs some backup," Adriana added. Dorian promised Brody to cover all his financial needs if he came to Llanview. That clearly appealed to Brody. "Limo. Private Jet," he requested, his mouth watering.
Jared and Natalie kissed passionately in her office. Jared apologized, but the two started kissing again and he cleared off her desk for further action. Natalie started to undress him. However, Viki knocked on Natalie's door and that ended that. Viki and Charlie worried that something might be wrong, as Natalie didn't respond. She eventually spoke and Jared let Charlie and Viki in, but not before Jared had to wipe the lipstick off his face. Jared tried to explain what they had been doing when they arrived. The busted pair spoke in code. "I've been rethinking my position," she said cryptically. Charlie knew what they were talking about and he went after Jared. "Natalie, what just happened?" Viki asked. Natalie covered and said that Jared was a brilliant deal maker. Charlie told his son that a relationship with Natalie was out of the question. Jared insisted that wasn't true and they would be able to work things out. Natalie didn't want to discuss the Sun article with her mother. "What's the problem?" Viki asked. Natalie shared that she was worried about what Calvin Jenkins "could do to us." Viki agreed to meet with Calvin Jenkins to see if she could help BE. Jared returned to Natalie's office. "I lost my head and now I got it back," she said, avoiding eye contact. Natalie said she was heading home. "Sleep well," she offered. "You too, if you can," he quipped.
Starr ran into her Aunt Viki at the coffee shop. Viki hoped that Todd would get over his anger toward Cole. "Aunt Viki, I don't have six months," Starr declared. Viki looked curious as to what that really meant. Viki reminded Starr that her family should be the most important thing to her. Starr thanked Viki and left. Charlie found Viki and was surprised when she told him she was pretty sure she figured out what had been going on behind locked doors between Jared and Natalie. Viki explained (wrongly) that Natalie was very uncomfortable working around Jared.
Tuesday
Ramsey wanted to join Antonio on a drug bust. The boss asked Antonio how he was dealing with the news of Jamie's diagnosis. "Denial," Antonio replied. Ramsey offered to give Antonio some time off and asked how he was doing about money. "I'm going to do whatever it takes to help my daughter," Antonio vowed. Antonio and Ramsey arrested the bad guy. Afterward, Antonio loaded up the evidence, which was an enormous amount of money. He was quite tempted to take it.
In the Buchanan living room, Clint reminded Bo he needs to go after Calvin's personal life. Clint suspected there might be someone behind Calvin's decision to continue to go after Buchanan Enterprises. Calvin Jenkins called Bo and said he was on his way over. Hmmm. Nora welcomed Calvin, who was delighted to see her and congratulated her on now being the owner of the mansion. Calvin asked for three fingers of bourbon with a splash of water, and began to reminisce about Asa. Clint wasn't interested in hearing old drinking stories. "You are not taking over BE," Clint said firmly. Bo tried to calm Clint down. Calvin announced he's decided to back off of "this endeavor." Bo and Clint were happy but didn't ask too many questions. Calvin saw his way out. Nora came back into the living room. "He backed off," Bo explained. "I didn't do anything," Clint added. "I wonder what convinced him?" said Bo.
Nora told Clint she thinks he doesn't really like to play hardball. Clint agreed. Nora gave him a big kiss.
Viki met Calvin for a cup of coffee, and asked him point blank about his desire to take over BE. Calvin thought she was being presumptuous. "Why are you doing this?" she persisted. Calvin couldn't answer and didn't want to offer Viki any more information.
At the docks, Markko brought Cole and Starr new IDs. Cole warned Markko that once he and Starr left town, "Starr's dad may go after you." Markko wasn't worried. Cole promised he'd pay him back eventually. Cole saw Langston, but refused to fill her in on his plans with Starr. Instead, he hugged Langston goodbye. "Why did that feel like goodbye forever?" she asked Markko. Later, Cole tried to sneak out of the Buchanan house. "Going someplace?," Nora chimed. Cole stopped in his tracks, saying he was going out to meet some friends. Nora apologized for "not really being there for him." Cole assured her that she's "been awesome." Nora added she was sorry about this "whole Starr thing." Cole gave Nora a hug and thanked her for everything.
Todd, Blair and Sam came by Starr's room to invite her to pizza and poker night. "I can't," Starr blurted out. "What's the problem?" Blair asked. "I'm sick of you always planning my life," the pregnant teen said. After some additional pushing — and Todd being uncharacteristically happy — Starr gave in to her family pleas to join them. They started to play five card stud. "Isn't this the way it should always be?" Todd offered. Starr looked at her family warmly, knowing this happy scenario would soon be over for her. After some family photos were taken, Starr told everyone, especially her dad, that she loved them. Langston gave Starr an envelope. Cole said they would be meeting at nine. "We're going to have the best life together," he promised. Starr looked heartbroken at the thought of leaving her family. Langston figured out that Starr was running away. Starr didn't want to leave but remembered that Todd would kill Cole if he found out she was pregnant. She gave Langston a goodbye hug, and Langston offered her friend some money. Starr asked her to say goodbye to her family when they figure out "that I'm gone."
Viki dropped in and returned Starr's scarf. Todd asked Viki to stick around for a while. Jack showed his aunt the pictures that were just taken. "It's great to see Starr this happy," Viki noted. Todd and Blair took the boys to bed. Starr tiptoed out of the living room and went to meet Cole in the back yard. Unfortunately, Viki saw her through the window. "Starr?" she called out. Yikes.
Wednesday
Michael refused to give Talia any details on Jamie's condition. She insisted she still cares for Jamie. John asked Michael how things were with Marcie. "Fine," Michael claimed. John wondered if he was working all this overtime to stay away from home. "We're working it out," Michael explained.
At the docks, Antonio pocketed the cash that was part of the evidence in the drug bust. Ramsey saw him. The chief then walked up and claimed, "all in all, things went smoothly." Ramsey continued to praise Antonio on the way he lives his life. He thought Antonio should tell Carlotta and Cristian about Jamie's illness. Antonio thought it would just upset them too much to learn the truth about his daughter. Ramsey then changed the subject, admitting, "I know about the money." Antonio returned most of the cash to his boss, and later got into an argument with John. He locked the remaining money away in his drawer. Ramsey called him into his office. "I need to talk to you about the evidence," Ramsey told a nervous Antonio. Apparently the numbers didn't add up, but Ramsey didn't make a big deal out of it. "Case closed," he said to Antonio. Antonio left his office and came face-to-face with Talia and John. Talia tried to be nice to Antonio, but John bit her head off. "I don't want to talk to you. I don't want to see you," he barked. John tried to calm him down but that just made things worse. Antonio apologized for the outburst and left the office.
At the diner, Jessica said hello to Jamie. "She used to be my mommy," the child explained, making things awkward for Nash and Jessica. Carlotta then thanked Jessica for being there for Cristian. Jessica asked Carlotta if they could be friends again. Nash admired Cristian's artwork. "I think they are fantastic," Nash said. Sarah, Cris, Nash and Jessica were all happy and goopy. "Oh, get a room," Nash teased when Sarah and Cris started kissing. Nash left the booth and met a mysterious man. "Must be the investor," Jessica guessed. Sarah asked her cousin if it was weird to her that she was now with her ex-boyfriend. (That was confusing!) Jessica assured Sarah that was a long time ago.
Todd and Blair went looking for Starr but found Langston in her room studying. Todd was suspicious, but Langston covered. Langston continued her conversation with Markko. "I hope everything is alright," Langston said about Cole and Starr's planned trip out of town. Langston tried to convince her boyfriend that she could handle Mr. Manning. Markko pledged his support to Langston. Langston looked at a photo of little Starr and Blair.
In the yard, Starr was ready to connect with Cole, but Aunt Viki saw her first.
"Starr, you are not fine," Viki insisted and encouraged her to talk to her if she was troubled. Meanwhile, the guard searched through the bushes to see what was going on. Viki tried to get her niece to open up. Starr begged Viki not to tell Todd that she was going to meet Cole. Viki tried to convince her that Todd couldn't have someone put in jail "just because he didn't like him. What have you not told me?" Viki asked. Starr tried to put the blame of all her unhappiness on her father. "Give him some time, honey," Viki advised. "I don't have time," Starr replied. Blair and Todd came into the living room.
"What's going on here?" Todd asked. Starr ran upstairs. "Okay, spill. What did she tell you?" Todd said. Viki refused to spill anything. Todd walked Viki to her car.
Cole called Starr from Markko's phone from the diner. Starr had to explain what happened. "We have to leave tonight," Cole insisted. Starr asked if they could leave tomorrow. Cole suggested she sneak into the kitchen. "But what about the guards?" she asked. Cole said he'd get her bag out of the yard and meet her by the docks. Markko wished his friend good luck. Starr met Cole at the docks and he promised to take care of her and their baby.
Thursday
Blair and Todd admired the photos taken at the family poker and pizza night.
"Good morning, Langston," said Blair, giving the teen a start. Langston joined them for breakfast but inhaled her food, clearly wanting to spend as little time with Starr's parents as possible. "That is one weird chick," Todd remarked when Langston offered to check on Starr. (Starr, as we know, isn't upstairs but on the run with Cole.) Langston panicked when she saw that Blair and Todd were heading up to Starr's room. She took the pillows out of Starr's bed and told them that Starr had just gotten up and was in the shower. Blair went into the bathroom and stayed calm when she saw Todd at the door. "Where is she?" Blair snapped at Langston. Langston played dumb and answered none of her questions. "Where did they go?" Blair screamed. Todd came in. "What's going on here?" Todd asked, sensing something was very wrong. Todd stormed into the bathroom, saw that Starr wasn't there and managed to grab Langston before she sneaked out of the house. Langston weathered Todd's brutal questioning, but she didn't know where Cole and Starr were. "They ran away last night," Blair surmised, as Langston held back the tears. Todd stormed out. Blair assured Langston that she could be as tough as Todd if she needed to be.
On the road, Cole and Starr stopped at a diner. "I can't wait till we're there. Hey, Cole, where is there?" she asked. Cole tried to figure out where they were on the map. "We're lost, aren't we?" she asked.
Rex and Adriana did some morning kissing in bed. Adriana then pushed him out of bed and immediately called Layla for the 411 on Brody. Rex told his fiancée about the character in Shane's comic book, the one that looks just like her, named Evelyn Evil. Adriana was far from amused. Rex headed out to meet Charlie.
Layla checked up on Brody, but he wasn't opening his door when she knocked.
Layla opened the door and found a lingerie-clad woman in his bed and Brody wrapped up in a towel. Brody explained that the woman was someone he met at the ice machine. Adriana soon arrived at the hotel room. Brody tried to explain what was going on with the woman in bed. Adriana called her mother and told her to come upstairs right now. "I get the feeling there's a lot more going on than you are telling me," Brody wisely gathered. Dorian joined the happy group. Layla, Dorian and Adriana decided to dress the woman in Brody's bed. As they did that, Brody headed down to the Palace bar for a breakfast beer. He almost ran into Gigi, who was delivering an envelope to Charlie from Natalie.
Shane told Charlie and Viki the story in his latest comic book. Viki offered to introduce Shane to some professional illustrators. "Viki, you are so cool," Shane gushed.
Nigel caught Jared barking at someone on the phone. Nigel had good news: Mr.
Jenkins had dropped his attempt to take over BE. Jared called Natalie, who was at Viki's, with the news. "Sounds like BE has a guardian angel," Natalie said, smiling at her mother. Natalie told her mother the good news, who just smiled. Viki told her daughter that she didn't want Clint or anyone to know about her meeting with Cal. Jared dropped by Viki's to tell Natalie that the Jenkins takeover was back on. (Wink. Wink.) Jared convinced Natalie to join him on a trip to Texas.
Nigel told Jared that Asa Buchanan thought love was much more important than business. "He was married 14 times," Nigel added. Nigel pointed out that Jared is miserable but in love "with Miss Natalie." Nigel suggested Jared ask "what would Asa Buchanan do."
Cal Jenkins met Dorian for breakfast. Dorian told him that since he dropped his attack on BE, she would now "destroy him." Jenkins said he was going to sell all his BE stock back to BE. Dorian guessed that Viki might have something to do with Cal's change of heart. Cal didn't budge on what changed his mind, but he suggested that Dorian let go of her grudge against the Buchanans.
Dorian ran into Viki and Charlie at the Palace, and she and Viki exchanged barbs. "Clint is not the same since Asa's passing," Dorian said. "Oh, no? He made one good decision," Viki replied, referring to the fact that Clint dumped Dorian after Asa's death. Dorian wasn't amused at all.
Friday
On some boardwalk, Starr and Cole started their new life together. A beachy guy named Winter brought them to their room. Cole said that after Memorial Day they could get jobs waiting tables. Cole promised Starr that life would be "better than okay" when they got their own place "with a room for a baby." Starr wondered if Cole was giving up being a guy and going to college. Cole assured her that wasn't what he wanted. Winter brought them beers. Cole took one, but Starr let Winter know she wouldn't be drinking as she's pregnant. Cole didn't think she should start telling people, but Starr countered, "I'm the one who's pregnant." Cole responded, "So that's what this is about. It's my fault, as I'm the one who got you pregnant."
Todd burst into Ramsey's office looking for John. Todd thought John would know something because he covered for Cole when he shot Miles Lawrence. Not finding John, Todd wanted Ramsey to help them find the teens. He threatened to bring down the top cop if he didn't help find Starr.
Meanwhile, John arrived at Dorian's to meet with Blair. He had already made some calls. "Starr ran away because of her father," Blair said furiously.
John asked Blair how she wanted to handle this. Blair wondered if they were gone for good. Dorian charged in. "Blair, what's happened?" she asked. Blair told Dorian and then said things that implied Langston's involvement in the teens' escape. Dorian wanted to talk to Langston before John did. Todd returned home and blamed John for Cole and Starr's disappearance. Dorian told Todd that she'd kill him if he came near Langston. "They are all going to pay," Todd vowed. "Are you ever going to take any responsibility for what happens in this family?" Blair railed. Todd looked surprised. Todd rattled off all the things he'd done, like hire a private detective, etc. Blair blamed Todd for Starr's disappearance. "You are out of your mind, you stupid bastard,"
yelled Blair. Todd exploded and Blair slapped him.
Markko crawled into Starr's bedroom window. Langston said that Todd "was mental, all in my face" when he and Blair found out Cole and Starr had run away. Langston realized that Markko knew where they had gone. "I know how to reach them," he admitted. Markko showed her the pre-paid phone Cole had given him. Langston reminded him that Todd doesn't give up. She wondered if they shouldn't call Starr and Cole on the "bat phone" to let them know that Todd and Blair know they are missing. Markko called Cole. "It's command central here at La Boulaie," Markko said. "They know and they are tripping." Langston started to talk to Starr, but Dorian knocked on the door. "What are you doing in Starr's room?" Dorian asked. "What did you just put in that bag?" Dorian continued, referring to the phone that Langston had tried to hide. Markko hid in the closet as Dorian began to interrogate Langston. She started by asking why Langston had helped Starr run away. Langston tried to explain that Starr felt she had no choice. Dorian reminded her foster daughter that there are always choices.
"Are you going to give me back?" Langston asked. "It's fine. I understand." Dorian reassured Langston that she would be as devastated as Blair is now if Langston disappeared. Dorian started going through Langston's purse and found a book about pregnancy. Oh, dear. Markko popped out of the closet and announced, "Langston is pregnant." Dorian's and Langston's jaws dropped open.
Natalie arrived for a meeting at BE, but soon realized that Clint and Bo weren't there. "They are not coming," Jared confirmed. "There is no meeting with Jenkins. It's just you and me," Jared added, preparing himself for Natalie's fury. "What the hell am I here for, Jared?" she asked when she realized that he wanted her there for a romantic confrontation. "I lied," Jared admitted. "You just lie until you get what you want," Natalie answered. Jared suggested that Natalie should just expose his lies. "It's about what I feel for you," Jared said as he tried to go in for a kiss. He told Natalie that he loves her. Natalie ran from the room and out into the yard. Jared went after her, but Natalie didn't want to hear it. "If you love me so much, you wouldn't have told everyone that we were related," Natalie said. "That lie was the biggest mistake," Jared admitted. He begged Natalie for a second chance. "It's not up to me anymore, it's up to you," he told her as her face was streaked with tears. Nat said it was too late and walked away — but then ran back to Jared and gave him a big kiss.
At the police station, Talia told Eddie that she and John had a hot date.
Antonio charged in and told the couple that their behavior "was not going to make him quit." Ramsey sent Eddie off to follow John and Talia. "See if they are really together and don't ask me why," he said. John and Talia managed to dodge Eddie and walked down the pier. "It doesn't get more perfect than this," Talia said. Antonio motored by via boat, got out and kissed Talia passionately. John smiled from afar.
