One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of April 4, 2011

Clint reiterated that Matthew is Eddie's killer and that he can prove it. They all stepped outside the courtroom during the recess, where Clint played Bo and Nora a tape of Matthew admitting to the crime. They couldn't believe it but knew that it was Matthew's voice. Clint explained he was trying to cover for his nephew and was forced to come clean about what happened because Bo and Nora simply refused to drop the charges against him. After the recess, the judge returned. Stunned, Nora was forced to drop the charges against Clint and tell the judge that a key piece of evidence no longer implicates Buchanan. The judge was not happy and gave both Bo and Nora a lecture about threatening their stellar reputations with shoddy charges. He ended the case and let Clint go.

Viki walked in on Echo and Charlie in bed together at the Minute Man Motel. She shook with hurt and anger. She lashed out at Echo, called her a dirty slut and railed at Charlie. "Of course you set out to hurt me! You pig!" Viki screamed and slapped Echo across the face.

At the hospital, Starr worried to Shaun that her little brother had gone off the deep end. Blair fretted about her son being capable of doing real harm to someone else. Starr advised her mom to talk to Jack before something more serious happens to Shane. She feared that Jack will turn out just like Todd, which Blair took offense to. Blair refused to believe that Jack was at fault. Starr proved it to her by showing her the video on Jack's MyFace page and proof that he's been taunting Shane for months. Blair was shocked and outraged.

At Llanview High, Jack and his cronies laughed about the video of Shane going viral. Shane confronted his bullies and handed over his inhaler to a very confused Jack. Destiny tried her best to soothe Shane and advised that he tell the principal what's going on. He feared it'd only make things worse. Meanwhile, Des also tried to figure out what was eating Matthew, who lashed out when she pleaded with him to confide in her. "I can't!" he spat and ran out to the courthouse for his uncle's hearing to figure out what's going on.

Viki explained that she tried to find Charlie after the wedding in every bar in town, worried that he was hurt and drunk. She never, however, imagined that he would turn to Echo for comfort. She knew that Echo was trouble all along and was angry at Charlie for not heeding her warnings. He tried to apologize. She told him that he stinks of Echo and recoiled at his touch.

Gigi was horrified after she read Shane's good-bye note and feared the worst. Rex tried to calm her down, to no avail. They hoped it only meant that he'd run away. Rex called Echo, hoping for a lead on Shane's whereabouts. She was dealing with Viki's outrage. When she found out that Shane is missing, Echo had to leave and asked Charlie to come with her, which only angered Viki more. Desperate, Rex hacked into Shane's MyFace page. They watched the video and were scared for their son. Echo, who'd come over to comfort Rex, was shaken to the core and suggested that Blair might have a tip on Jack that could lead them to Shane.

James broke away from Deanna's kiss and told her that he's with Starr now. He wanted to know why she'd come to town and was angry that she was ruining his happiness. They bickered and James quickly figured out that Deanna was in trouble. He also finally answered Starr's call. She caught him up on what's going on with Jack. He offered his support. After, James realized Deanna had no place to go, so he invited Deanna to stay at his apartment until she gets back on her feet. She was grateful.

Jack went to the hospital, upset that Todd's still comatose. Blair pulled him aside and confronted him for what he'd done; he was upset at Starr for ratting him out. Blair got a call from Gigi, who got confirmation that Shane had returned to school. Gigi abruptly hung up before Blair could apologize. Shane, meanwhile, walked up the the roof of the school by himself. Jacks taunts continued to haunt him and he made a beeline for the ledge of the roof.

Back at the courthouse, Matthew asked his devastated parents what's going on. Nora broke down. "I think you know," Bo told his son. They went home to talk things over.

At the Llanview PD, Brody blamed John for taking his anger over Natalie out on him by forcing him to do more work and called John out on having Marty released from St. Ann's. "She ain't a risk," John spat and said it's time for Marty to get a second chance at redemption. Meanwhile, Starr was rattled when Marty showed up, with Hope in tow, at the hospital. Marty explained that she was released last week and wants to be involved in her granddaughter's life. Marty told Hope she's a good mom.

Natalie wasn't pleased to see that John helped Marty's release and questioned her desire to get John back. Later, Brody told Nat about his run-in with Marty, who made a point to say how close he's become to Liam, and assured her that if she ever comes near Nat, she'll have to answer to him. They shared a close moment as Brody assured Nat that she's tough enough to get through the situation with John and Marty.

Téa approached John and asked why he hasn't yet made an arrest in Todd's shooting; John said he doesn't have any strong evidence yet. He then started questioning her about Tomas and she was forced to admit that she doesn't know her brother very well but scoffed when John suggested that he might be involved in the shooting. Later, Téa advised John to focus on getting his family back. Meanwhile, Tomas dressed his wounds and bonded with Dani. He pulled out a file about Todd, including an old photo of him before his plastic surgery. Dani made it clear that Todd will want to hunt down whoever shot him if and when he does wake up.

At the Minute Man, Charlie tried to explain to a devastated Viki why he engaged in an affair with Echo, saying he needed a connection and that it probably had to do with the fact that Clint made fools out of both of them at the botched wedding. Viki wondered why Charlie turned to everyone but her when he was in trouble and blamed herself for being so preoccupied with her children which pushed him into Echo's arms. She also surmised that Echo manipulated him. Charlie, however, told his wife that his affair really means something and isn't just sex. Viki was floored and ran out in tears.

Shane approached the ledge of the school's roof and put his leg over the edge. Rex and Gigi approached just as Shane was about to jump. "No!" Gigi screamed and ran toward him, but was restrained by Rex. Shane told his parents to go away and explained that jumping is the only way to make his pain and suffering stop. They pleaded with him not to jump, but he feared that them being there to talk him down will just make things worse. He thought the only way people at school will notice him is if he is a big splat on the ground. He crawled over the railing. Tensions were high as Gigi and Rex tried to get their son to realize that his life is worth living. Shane was overcome with grief and emotion, saying his popular parents could never relate to his situation. Gigi brought up being pregnant with him and the troubles she faced.

Jack refused to apologize for what he did to Shane. Blair was at a loss for how to handle her son and told him that he sounds just like his father. She was visibly disgusted and railed against her son to stop taunting Shane lest it go too far. Jack defended dad's ways, even after Blair said what Todd has done in his past is wrong. When Jack suggested that Marty may have asked to be raped from Todd and his frat brothers all those years ago, an incensed Blair slapped her son across his face. She apologized but set the record straight with Jack and said that Shane didn't ask to be bullied, nor did Marty ask to be attacked. She worried why Jack wasn't remorseful and grounded him, telling him that she's canceling his MyFace account.

Marty revealed she still had Natalie's paternity test.... John continued to investigate Todd's shooting and looked at a sonogram picture of Liam.... Téa was pleased to see Dani and Tomas bonding.... Tomas glanced at an old photo of Todd one more time.... Rex and Gigi desperately tried to talk Shane down from the ledge.

Rex and Gigi begged Shane not to jump. Shane reached out to Rex and Rex and Gigi embraced their sobbing son.

Blair told Jack that she'd be deleting his Myface account, and threatened to send him to military school or jail. Jack deleted the video, then Blair took his computer away, forbidding him from using the Internet to contact his friends. A guilty Blair admitted to Starr that she'd hit Jack after he said that Marty deserved to be raped. Starr understood why she'd lost it, but Blair pointed out her behavior made her a bully, as well.

When Vice principal St. Clare asked Destiny about the Shane video, she pointed to Jack and his friends. Brad claimed innocence. Rex, Gigi and Shane descended from the roof, and Rex accused the vice principal of letting the school go wild. Gigi and Shane tried to get Rex to leave with them, but he wanted Shane checked out at the hospital. "I don't want anyone else to know," Shane pleaded, begging his parents to keep this at home.

Viki walked into Todd's empty hospital room and assumed he had died. Todd was just getting an MRI, Téa assured Viki, who was still stunned about Charlie's affair with Echo. "I would never have suspected this," she sobber. Téa tried to say that Charlie made a terrible mistake, but Viki confided that the affair between Charlie and Echo wasn't meaningless, and called herself stupid for letting Echo live in her house and have "24 hour access to Charlie." Viki wept on Téa's shoulder.

Clint told Natalie he was released. "Nora dropped all the charges. I'm innocent, like I always said. Somebody else killed Eddie Ford," he announced. Clint deflected Nat's questions by noting that Liam was a handsome boy. Natalie didn't understand how Clint could have no use for Shane as his grandson. Changing the subject again, Clint asked about John. Natalie reported that John was sleeping with Kelly. "I deserve it," she admitted. Clint picked up Liam and told him what a wonderful mommy he had. Natalie said she still sees John in Liam's face. "Guess I need more sleep," she said sadly.

Matthew, Bo and Nora returned home, where Bo played Matthew's confession to Clint. Realizing his parents knew he shot Eddie Ford, Matthew admitted he made that call to Clint of his own free will. "I killed Eddie Ford," Matthew declared, and recounted the night he saw Inez with Bo. "I was just so angry," he explained, adding that he almost hit Nora and Rex with his car. He recalled pulling over at the Minute Man motel to calm himself down. There, he heard a gunshot. He entered Eddie's motel room and realized that that's where his mother had been kept captive. Eddie began taunting Matthew about his "special parents." Matthew aimed the gun at Eddie, shot him and dropped the gun. After throwing up in the bathroom, Matthew called Cling and left the incriminating message. Clint showed up and calmly instructed Matthew not to breath a word to anyone. Nora took Matthew in her arms, and he apologized for what had happened. Nora blamed Clint for the murder. "I'm guilty," Matthew insisted. Nora assured him that they'd figure everything out, then wept in Bo's arms.

Nora was distraught at the realization that her son is a murderer. She knew she and Bo had to do something, lest Matthew rot away the rest of his life in prison. Bo tried to stay logical and said they need to really think things over before they take action. Destiny arrived looking for Matthew and told Nora and Bo about what happened to Shane at school.

Starr assured Blair, who was still reeling from Jack's unremorseful behavior, that she's a good mom and Jack needs to be punished even if it means being slapped across the face. Blair fretted about why she didn't heed the warning signs and was concerned for Shane's safety and whereabouts. She called Gigi, who didn't answer. After, Starr helped Blair delete Jack's MyFace account. Blair was still stunned that her son was capable of such hatred toward another boy. Starr blamed herself for not saying something after she saw what Jack was posting. Blair wondered what she'd done as a mother that made Jack not sorry for his actions. They shared a sweet moment and consoled each other.

After talking Shane down from the ledge, Gigi and Rex ushered their son to the ER to talk to somebody about what had happened. Shane was embarrassed and shaken. He just wanted to go home. Gigi told the nurse that someone needs to analyze her son because he is suicidal and she didn't know what else to do. Nora consoled a very rattled Destiny. Nora was sympathetic toward Gigi, adding that she knows what it's like to have bad things happen to good kids. Nora then asked Des if Matthew's been acting strange lately and thanked her for being such a good friend to him.

Viki showed up at the carriage house to deal with Echo and calmly kicked her off the property. Echo explained that she's only there for Rex and Shane; Viki wasn't very sympathetic about Echo's supposed interest in keeping families together. "You are devious, selfish whore and you ruined my marriage!" she spat. Echo claimed she never set out to hurt Viki, who wasn't buying the act. Echo needled Viki for being the one Charlie chose in the end.

James brought Deanna back to the Ford apartment. She told him there's something he needs to know about why they broke up way back when. James told her that they won't be sleeping in the same bed while she stays there but they will share a room; she was bummed.

Brad informed Jack that he's gonna get in huge trouble for what he's done to Shane, explaining that Shane went up on the roof and tried to commit suicide. Blair saw the boys together and railed at Brad for stopping by, saying he should be ashamed by what happened to Shane. Jack acted like a little punk to his mom, who demanded that he apologize to Shane.

Shane met with Dr. Buhari, who examined him just to make sure there are no injuries. She asked Shane why he was on the roof. He explained it was because of the cyber bullying. She gave him the number of a crisis hotline and suggested family therapy. Rex stepped outside the exam room and was stunned to see Bo. He broke down and was overwhelmed by what had happened to Shane, worrying that he was a terrible father. Bo assured him otherwise.

Bo returned and reported to Nora and Des that Shane will be alright. Nora feared Matthew wouldn't be so lucky. Suddenly Nora remembered what happened the night Eddie was murdered. She remembered seeing Matthew in the motel room next to Eddie's dead body and was upset at herself for seeing her son in pain and leaving him.

Rex came back home and gave Echo an update on Shane. She vowed to help him get better, as a family. They shared a sweet scene and she left. Rex and Gigi were shaken as they removed scissors and razors from the bathroom to hide from Shane. Gigi was rough on herself for not being able to see or feel Shane's pain before it was too late.

Langston stepped outside and was startled to see that David and Dorian, donning fancy Hollywood shades and ensembles, had returned from the movie shoot via the back door at La Boulaie. They claimed they were avoiding the paparazzi. Dorian cryptically explained that the production of the movie has been temporarily halted due to a “wardrobe malfunction”, which is why they are back. Lang caught them up on Llanview happenings, saying that Clint has been released courtesy of Bo. Dorian was outraged and threatened to fire Bo and Nora, you know, because she's the mayor. She was convinced that Clint killed Eddie. They started rewriting the script for Vicker Man, much to Lang's surprise. She questioned how things are going. David finally spilled that he fired the writer and director; Lang was floored. Dorian ‘fessed up that David was the one who was fired ... from a movie about his own life! They decided to produce and write their own movie and, in a very roundabout way, asked Langston to write the new flick. She thought it was ridiculous, but they explained that they already got someone to direct. Lang turned around and was stunned to see who it was.

A shirtless Brody tended to fussy baby Liam while Natalie took a break. Joey called her with an update about Clint; she told him about the custody battle. They promised to be there for each other. Nat pointed out how great Brody has been lately and she's really happy he's pulled through. After, Nat went to calm Liam and feed him. She asked Brody to stay; he was surprised. Later, Brody was clearly uncomfortable watching Nat breast feed their son, saying it’s far more intimate than their one-night stand. Nat told him to get used to it and flashed him.

At the gym, Aubrey caught Rama ogling Cristian and reminded her that she's married. Meanwhile, in the steam room, a shirtless Cutter read the paper about Clint's charges being dropped and worried that his and Aubrey's plan would now be foiled. Joey was looking for Aubrey, who was in the men’s steam room with Cutter discussing their next move. Cutter said they're back at square one; she was certain that Joey would be their key to the Buchanan dough. Cutter said he's moving on to Plan B: Tess. She was not pleased. Meanwhile, Rama flirted with Cris and tried to distract Joey. She fished around to see if Cris was single and lost track of Joey — stopping him right before he opened the door to the steam room. Aubrey slipped out unnoticed and covered.

Kelly stopped by the LPD to fish around for info regarding Eddie's murder case; John concealed the sonogram of Liam he had. They kissed, which Marty arrived just in time to see. She was shocked and inquired about how long they’ve been seeing each other. He didn’t want to talk about it. Marty pulled out the DNA results. Nat walked in, shocked to see Marty there. Marty said there’s something she wants to show John, but hid the results and covered that it’s paperwork involving her therapy. Then Marty made a dig about Nat’s closeness to Brody in front of John.

At the apartment, Tess and shirtless Ford bickered over their lack of funds. She continued to needle him about his appearance and called him a "juicer." "You fake bake, you tweeze, you groom," she smirked. "I need a real man!" He angrily pulled her close. "This man enough for you?" Ford asked. Tess, of course, was delighted that he was playing rough with her. They shared a very sexy moment and Ford pulled her into a kiss. Tess couldn't deny that she was turned on by it. During their major make out session, Tess bit him. Ford was outraged. Tess called Cutter and agreed to meet him at the gym. After, Tess followed Ford there. He reluctantly agreed. Brody and Ford faced off at the gym. Rama blamed herself for Vimal going to jail. Tess “attacked” Cutter in the steam room.
