One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of August 23, 2010

Monday

David ordered champagne and caviar for his wedding. He was stunned to learn from Viki that Dorian had not only invited her to the wedding, but given Viki and Charlie credit for their reconciliation. The two longtime friends hugged.

Meanwhile, at the country club Dorian welcomed Starr and Cole. Starr caught James' eye when he showed up with Langston. Cole ordered James to steer clear of Starr. James means nothing to her, Starr assured Cole, who shook James' hand and called for a truce. He'd just sit back and watch Cole ruin his relationship with Starr, smirked James.

Dani begged Shaun to help them find Téa. "I wish things were different," Shaun said sadly, and refused.

Eli told Blair there was a change of plans: they're changing the venue fo the wedding. Blair tried to assure him that it would be fine sharing the day with Dorian but Eli rattled off things that might go wrong, then suggested they elope. "We'll leave now," Blair said happily.

John asked Kelly to help the police get a statement from Ford confirming Eli's identity as Bennett Thompson. Playing along, Kelly was pushed into the waiting room, where Ford was, and charged with breaking and entering. She tried to convince Ford that the only way he'd get some respect was by being the guy who put Eli in jail.

When the judge refused to give John an arrest warrant for Eli, John blurted out that Eli killed his unborn child. The judge said if John got a signed statement from Ford, he would get his arrest warrant. Just then, Kelly entered the room with a signed statement from Ford; John got his warrant.

Dorian asked Blair why she wasn't dressed yet. Blair explained she wasn't getting married today after all, and told Dani, Starr and Langston that she was eloping. The girls begged her to change her mind. Blair explained that Eli wasn't used to a big family and promised Dani that she'd be in touch. They all drank a toast with bottled water to David and Dorian and Elijah and Blair, followed by a big group hug.

Darren, who it turns out is Detective Price's kid brother, thought it was pretty cool that his brother was doing surveillance. Darren told Destiny that he'd try to change Shaun's mind, alerting an eavesdropping Eli the cops were on to him.

Eli joined David in the cabana and told him that he and Blair were eloping. "You and Dorian are the whole show," Eli said...then pulled out a gun from his briefcase. Outside the cabana, Dorian showed off her dress to Blair. Kelly shook Ford's hand and said, "Eli's going to jail, thanks to you." John knocked on the cabana door and found that it was locked. "Clark, we know you are in there. We have a warrant for your arrest," he declared.

Tuesday

Natalie and Jessica learned they have the same OB/GYN — Vivian, Shaun's girlfriend. (She used to date Greg and recently changed specialties.) The women were asked if they knew the date of conception. Jessica told Vivian that she had two possible dates; Natalie flipped when she accidentally put Brody's name in the "father" spot on the form. Vivian informed Jess her baby would be born in February and said they'd need the RH factor of the baby's father. There was a one percent chance the father might not be Brody, Jessica confessed, and asked if she was putting her baby at risk by keeping the information to herself. When Vivian assured her there wasn't, a happy Jessica left the office. Vivian asked Natalie about her date of conception. "One of two dates," Natalie admitted, explaining that there was a tiny, tiny chance the baby wasn't her boyfriend's. Disappointed that they couldn't do the paternity test immediately, Natalie muttered to herself that this had to be John's baby.

John and Brody met at the cabana where they thought Eli was hiding, but it was empty. Price showed up and explained he had been jumped outside the cabin. Bo found a note in the cabana, but the note had nothing to do with Elijah.

At the Country Club, Destiny told Dani that she suspects Shaun is hiding something. Shaun looked at the kids with guilt written all over his face. Dani cornered Shaun and rattled off her rights as Tea's daughter. Shaun looked distraught as Dani kept begging him to help her find Tea. "I get where you are coming from," Shaun said. "So you'll help me?" Dani asked. Matthew approached Dani and said he was sorry about her mom, then admitted he'd been acting like a jerk to her and Nate. He still cared about her, said Matt, and offered his friendship.

Langston caught James watching Cole and Starr kissing before Dorian and David's wedding. Starr thanked Cole for setting James straight. When Langston left James to attend to her maid of honor duties, he promptly texted Starr and the two started to text flirt. Cole wondered who was texting her. "James," she admitted, and had to keep an angry Cole from going after James. Later, James texted Starr but Cole answered. "Go to hell," the text said.

Dorian admired herself in the mirror "You are the happiest woman," she smiled to herself. Langston urged Dorian to speak from her heart. Langston announced to the guests that there would only be one wedding that day. Nora asked Langston where Blair and Eli went, but Langston couldn't offer any details. Nora rushed to the cabana with news that Blair and Eli had eloped. Bo put out a bulletin for Elijah and Blair and handed the note to Nora. Brody told John that the car valet had seen Blair and Eli drive off.

Dorian arrived ready for her wedding. Nora pulled the bride aside and handed her the note that had been in the cabana — it was an envelope addressed to Dorian. "Oh David, not again," Dorian said softly after she read the note, then left the country club. "There is not going to be a wedding. Not today," Viki solemnly informed the guests. "David how could you do this to me?" Dorian cried as she smeared her mirror with cold cream and started destroying the room. Langston tiptoed in room and found a sobbing Dorian curled up on the floor.

Brody, John, Price and Bo returned to the station and learned that a car was spotted outside of town, and Blair and Eli were seen boarding a small plane.

Someone knocked Shaun out and dragged him away.

Wednesday

John told Kelly that Eli and Blair were eloping. Kelly blamed herself for failing to rescue Blair, but John pointed out she's the one who unmasked Eli, and promised to make Clarke pay for her mom and Rodney.

In Tahiti, Eli carried Blair over the threshold, even though they weren't married yet. Frustrated when she couldn't get any cell service, Blair wondered why they were really in Tahiti. Meeting Blair helped him see the value in family, said Eli, and promised to hurry back to Llanview as soon as they married. Removing a gun from his sock, Eli quietly put it on Téa's last will and testament.

Todd held Shaun captive and demanded to know where his wife was, and asked why Greg had taken a leave of absence. "She had one wish. That is to be left alone," Shaun explained, and told Todd to go to hell. Escaping from the tape and rope, Shaun towered over a nervous Todd.

Worried she was losing her sight, Téa asked Greg how much time she had left. "It's hard to say. A few days," he answered. Regretting having pushed Todd and Dani away, Téa vowed to hold on if Greg could get her family to her. "They have to be the last things I see and hear," she said through tears.

Keeping a woman from her family was wrong, Greg insisted to Eli, who refused to alter their plan. "Keep Todd and Dani away from Téa and we both get what we want," Eli said, then warned that Greg would go down with him if they were caught. Later, Shaun instructed Todd and Dani to grab their things – he was going to take them to Téa. Greg gave Téa an injection to help her sleep, she slept holding a photo of Todd and Dani.

Langston tried to comfort a distraught Dorian. There was a knock at the door; it was Viki. "This is all your fault, you spiteful bitch," Dorian spat, blaming Viki for convincing her to give David another chance. Viki insisted something must have happened to David. Dorian read David's letter aloud. "I can't be tied to one woman…It's me," she read. "The man makes himself very clear....The man dumped me. Those are David's words," Dorian insisted. "He loves you and he always will love you," Viki responded, then reminded Dorian that she's Dorian Cramer Lord. Helping Dorian leave the cabana, Viki called her the bravest person she knew.

Ford approached James, Langston, Cole and Starr at the club, and learned Langston and James were on a date. Langston and James said they were going on a swim. Ford said he was up for that, but Langston pointed out Ford wasn't a member. Unfazed, Ford stripped down to his underwear. Cole headed out to check on the sitter while Langston kissed James passionately so Starr and Ford would see them. Starr clutched James' necklace as Langston and James took a dip. Starr returned the necklace and went to see Dorian; Ford made overtures to Langston but she left with James.

David was dragged into a cell. He began calling for the guards, and learned he was far from Llanview. He had been in that prison before, a guard informed him. "Oh no, no, not again. I'm in Morocco," David cried out. Alone in the cell, David said he loved Dorian, and would never leave her again. "I know people who know people," he said, vowing, "I've got to get back to my bride." A man he knew stood outside his cell....

Thursday

Dorian asked Langston to stop feeling sorry for her. David's "just another man," Dorian scowled. Later, she grabbed her computer to check her emails — she wanted to see what David was saying about her. Starr, Langston and Dorian called up David's MySpace page and saw that David had (apparently) changed his status to "single and loving it." Dorian immediately unfriended him.

David was stunned to see Clint outside his cell and begged for help getting released. Uncle Clint wasn't there to help, however — in fact, he explained with relish, this was payback for David's part in forcing Kim out of town! Begging Clint to assist him, David promised to track down Kim. "Do you truly think I was going to share Asa's fortune with you?" Clint sneered, reminding David that Dorian stole BE and was behind the death of Jared. David would be in that cell for 20 years. "There is no way Bo is going to let me rot in here," David proclaimed. Clint wondered how Bo would find out he was there, adding that Bo would now know that David is a loser. He left David screaming that he was going to get out of there. David vowed he'd make it back to Dorian. "Somehow and someday. Please wait for me," he begged.

Starr warned Langston about James, and wondered if they were planning another date. "You just can't get James off your mind," noted Langston. Starr admitted she had feelings for James but was going to stay focused on her relationship with Cole. Langston said she was backing off of James.

John send Brody and Natalie off on an assignment to search the cabana for clues on Eli and David's disappearance. Natalie blamed their one-night-stand on Marty, because Marty intercepted the letter Natalie had left John asking him to meet her at Rodi's. If John had gotten the letter, Natalie reasoned, she wouldn't have gotten drunk and had sex with Brody.

When Marty and Cole visited John at the station, John told Marty that Hannah didn't push her. Cole said he'd known for a while that Hannah's confession was bogus. Eli forced Hannah to swallow a bottle of pills, John shared, then asked Cole not to tell Starr that Eli and Blair were missing — and that Blair might be in danger. Cole gave him his word and left the station.

John told Marty that Natalie was pregnant, adding that it wasn't planned. "Natalie must be very happy," Marty said, holding back the tears. "You two are meant for one another," she assured him.

When Ford found Jessica in his apartment, he told her to go home. But Jessica needed to know his RH factor for her baby's sake. He's RH positive, Ford reported. On the way out, Jess ran into James. Assuming Ford had slept with Jessica, James observed of his brother, "You really don't waste time." Angry, Ford asked for James's half of the rent, and said he didn't want James going out with Langston.

Cole visited Hannah in her room at St. Anne's. She should have told him everything about Eli, Cole said. Hannah confessed she was afraid for Cole's safety, adding that Eli had threatened to kill Cole. "You were going to kill yourself to save my life," Cole said incredulously.

Friday

Kelly barged into the sTéam room and brought Cris and Rex up to speed on Eli: Evangeline's file proved that Eli was Bennett. She added that Blair and Eli eloped the night before. "Blair refuses to believe that Eli is dangerous," Kelly cried. Stripped down to her slip in the sTéam room, Kelly begged Rex to help her locate Blair.

Price thought that Blair and Eli were somewhere in Mexico. John learned they left LA with no flight plan, but that Eli asked for enough fuel for 4000 miles. Price vowed to take Eli down. John figured out that Tahiti was 4005 miles away from LA.

Layla told Cris that Eli/Bennett had killed Evangeline, which made her wonder if Evangeline's will was what she really wanted. "He wanted her dead so she wouldn't tell anyone else who he really was," Layla suggested. Cris reminded her that Evangeline would want Layla to focus on the good things in her life. "I'll let my boss take care of Eli Clarke," Layla said.

In Tahiti, Eli placed a call to Greg, who reported that he had lied to Téa about Todd and Dani being on their way to the hospice. Eli assured him that he'd never have to lie to Téa again.

As Dani, Todd and Shaun were flying to see Téa in the hospice, Shaun told Todd that Téa had once insisted that Todd "wasn't all bad," just afraid. Dani hoped her mom would be happy to see her. The plane prepared for landing and Todd took Dani's hand. They raced to the hospice, only to find Téa's bed empty. "Téa died last night," Greg told a stunned Dani and a skeptical Todd.

When Blair overheard Eli yelling to Greg on the phone, Eli lied that they were still not getting cell connection. Blair wanted to get back to Llanview immediately, but Eli tried to talk her out of it. His briefcase fell over and Blair picked up a gun. Eli quickly said it belonged to Ross. Moments later, Ross entered the cabin and they told him about Téa's brain tumor. Ross worried about what was going to happen to Dani. Blair explained that Téa had asked her to be Dani's legal guardian. Ross was happy that Blair would soon become Mrs. Elijah Clarke. The wedding began and with Ross looking on, Eli said I do. Blair was about to....

Destiny and Darren entered the ransacked cabana. (Thanks, Dorian!) Nate told his pals that he was worried about Dani. Destiny was happy that Shaun came through for Dani and Todd and applauded Nate for being there for Dani. Later, Darren ran into his brother, Detective Price — first name Theo — in the steam room. It must be nice having brothers you could be proud of, Nate told Destiny.
