One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of December 11, 2007

Monday

David and Dorian flirted and reminisced about their past good times. They kissed tenderly. David wondered what would happen if people thought they were back together. Dorian didn't think that would be so wrong, but David claimed Dorian wasn't over Clint. "You don't really want me," David reasoned. He didn't think reconciliation for the sake of revenge was the best idea...but they could be friends with benefits. Todd, Starr and Blair walked in on the couple kissing. "What's going on?" Blair asked. Todd suggested David go after Renee. David changed the subject and asked Todd if he had stopped hunting for baby Tommy. Todd warned him not to hit up Viki for more money. David began to scratch off the lottery ticket Viki had given him as a parting gift in Paris and broke into a big smile. Meanwhile, Ramsey knocked on Dorian's door looking for Cole. Todd answered.

Later, at the pool, Blair assured Todd that she still loves him and they sealed it with a kiss. Todd suggested everyone move back to the penthouse with him. He added that he doesn't care for Dorian, however. "Ignore her," Blair told her husband.

Langston settled into her new room at Dorian's and wondered to Starr where Cole would live. Just then, Cole knocked on Starr's bedroom window and began to explain what had happened at the docks. Cole said he overheard John saying that Ramsey had killed Marty. He was so angry he wanted to grab a gun and kill Ramsey. Cole admitted he shot Miles accidentally. "I killed him," Cole cried. Starr couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Earlier, Cole indeed shot Miles, who tumbled off the dock into the dirty water. Cole immediately said he was sorry and began to panic. Miles began to sink deeper into the water. John saved Miles but couldn't find a pulse. The cop performed CPR as a helicopter hovered overhead. John begged Miles not to die.

Michael knocked on Marcie's door at Bon Suites. "Oh no, it's my husband,"
Marcie whispered to Gigi. Tommy said "Daddy." "Marcie, I heard that," Michael said through the door. Marcie hid in the bathroom. Gigi opened the door and pretended to be Marcie's friend Sally. A frustrated Michael insisted he heard Tommy's voice. He showed Gigi a photo of his family and was certain Gigi was lying. Michael found a shirt and was more convinced than ever that Tommy was there. Marcie started to cry in the bathroom. Gigi asked Michael what he would say to his wife "if she were here right now." Michael repeated that he would tell Marcie how much he loved her. Marcie almost left her hiding place to walk into Michael's arms, but then the police knocked on the door.

Roxy explained how her friendship with Miles had developed. "Mom, you are crazy about the guy," Rex observed. After some thought, Roxy realized her son was right.

Tuesday

The police barged into Marcie's room and said to Gigi, "We believe you are harboring a fugitive." The minute Michael announced who he was, the cops grabbed him and said, "Michael McBain, we have a warrant for your arrest." A horrified Marcie, still hiding in the bathroom, grabbed Tommy tight. The cops dragged Michael away. Marcie came out of the bathroom. "That man loves you, Marcie," Gigi said. Marcie told Gigi she was about to come out and run to Michael before the police arrived. Gigi encouraged her to take it easy because she starts waitressing tomorrow.

Viki, home at Llanfair, was there for Natalie. Viki's heart was breaking for Cole. She commented that Cole could live with Nora and the others at the Buchanan mansion for now. "Lots of bad things happened after Grandpa died," Natalie told her mom. She added, however, that it was good for them to have to deal with their own problems on their own. Natalie was convinced that Viki had fallen for some French man, but Viki denied it and said this wasn't a conversation she was going to have right now. David called Viki with great thanks for the lottery ticket. "I'm going to do something to make you proud," he vowed. Viki beamed on the other end, while a call from Charlie went to voice mail. Viki told her nosy daughter that was just a friend.
Natalie shared details of her disastrous lovelife with Jared. "It's really messy and complicated and incestuous," she described. Enter Jared, who Natalie introduced to her mother. "You look remarkably familiar," Viki said. Jared told her he was Asa's new son. Yikes! But Viki didn't see Asa in Jared's face.
"You don't?" Natalie asked hopefully as Viki went upstairs. "She's everything I imagined," he commented as he watched Viki leave the living room. Jared left, and Natalie beat herself up for falling for her uncle. Viki assured her that nobody could have seen that coming. John called Natalie with news of Miles' shooting and Natalie rushed to the hospital.

John was with Miles as he was rushed into the ER. He asked the attending physicians if Miles was going to make it, but it was too early for them to tell. Natalie rushed to Miles' side and promised him she'd be there when he woke up. She asked John who shot him; he didn't answer. Natalie told John she was sorry about what had happened to Marty. John squeezed her hand. John called Cole again.

Ramsey paid Todd a visit at Dorian's. The agent was there for Cole Thornhart, who had shot Miles on the docks. Ramsey wanted to take a look around the house, but Todd said, "No way." Dorian saw Langston, who assured her brand-new foster mother that Cole wasn't there. Ramsey wanted to talk to Starr, but Blair said no. Dorian stepped in and said Ramsey could search the house.
They all knew that Cole wasn't there. (But of course, he was there, hiding out with Starr.) Todd and Blair were not happy with Dorian's decision. Ramsey charged into Starr's bedroom and demanded that she and Langston tell him where Cole was. Once he left, Starr told her mother that she wouldn't tell where Cole was even if she knew. Langston told Starr that if Miles dies and Cole gets caught, they would be accessories to murder.

David paid Dorian a visit and said he was taking off. "As in permanently?" Dorian asked, her eyes welling up with tears. She gave him a big hug. Dorian and David toasted each other with Champagne. "To our next encounter," she said. David had a hostile exchange with Todd. "Go to hell, Vickers," were Todd's exact words. Dorian asked David what he knew about Todd's son. David assured he just likes to torture Todd. Dorian asked where he was going this time. "A man needs to keep a little mystery," he hedged, as he kissed her goodbye.

Earlier, Cole had a meltdown in Starr's bedroom. "I'm a murderer," he moaned, hugging her tight. John called Cole, but Starr didn't want him to answer the phone. Cole explained that John had saved his life and he wanted to answer, but he didn't. Langston entered Starr's room and was horrified to see that Cole was indeed there.

Charlie was back in his room, staring at two big bottles of booze. He flashed back to his most distressing conversation with Jared. "The only father I need is dead, Dad," he remembered as he began pouring himself a big drink. Viki called Charlie back but by then, he was drinking. "Viki," he advised to the ringing phone, "you don't need a bum like me in your life."

Jared assured Nigel that he had things under control. "My real father is probably at the bottom of some bottle somewhere," he mused. He began rereading Asa's autobiography and kept looking at the photo of Jessica and Natalie.

Wednesday

Marcie started her waitress job at the Bon Jour, but she was sobbing before she left her motel room. "Look at what I have done to my husband, Gigi," Marcie cried. "My husband was arrested because of me." Gigi dragged a teary Marcie to work.

Langston and Starr left Dorian's with a package of food for Cole. The girls arrived at an abandoned house and Cole ran into Starr's arms. He opened up to Langston about what had happened at the docks. "It was an accident," Langston insisted, "and you know it." "I want to talk to my mom. I need her help right now," he sobbed. Langston reminded him that he needs to feel grief and properly mourn Marty's death. "You seem like you are doing alright," Cole noted. "How long do you feel bad?" Langston admitted to still missing her parents, but said she's beginning to believe she deserves to live a good life. She reminded Cole that he's a part of Marty forever. "Starr and I know that you didn't mean to hurt Miles...Someone's here. Oh my God, they are going to come in," Langston panicked.

Viki paid a visit to Dorian. "Bonjour, Viki," Dorian said when she opened the door. Viki asked about Dorian's cane but more importantly asked where Todd was. She didn't know that Todd and Blair had remarried. Starr had a big hug for her Aunt Viki, who immediately asked her niece questions about Cole's whereabouts. Starr hedged, and she and Langston headed off to school. Dorian brought Viki up to speed on what had happened with her family. Viki said she intended to go back to Paris when all was back to normal. She gave Dorian credit for inspiring her to leave Llanview. Dorian envied Viki for being able to change her life, but she still didn't know that Viki's new life was in Paris, Texas, not France. Viki grinned while Dorian told her about her visit to Paris, Texas, and she teased Dorian about Clint walking in on Dorian and David. Dorian began to explain, but Viki stopped her. "You don't have to explain. I couldn't care less," Viki declared. Dorian was about to start talking about having met Charlie. "This one, however, saved my life," Dorian smiled. Dorian insisted on explaining what happened to her relationship with Clint and went on to blame Viki because she had an affair while married to Clint years ago. Dorian then said goodbye to Viki, who made plans to wait for Todd. She thought Viki had changed...but not for the better. Viki's cell rang and Gigi was on the other end. Gigi reported that Charlie was back and off the wagon. "He's in really bad shape. I think he needs you," Gigi noted.

Talia brought a handcuffed Michael back to Llanview. Bo asked if Michael had contacted his lawyer. Ramsey barged into Bo's office. He pointed out that the Llanview PD had not found Cole. John rushed into the station and saw Michael in handcuffs. Ramsey goaded John into telling Bo who shot Miles. John denied what Ramsey was saying and asked for some time with his brother. John urged his brother to call a lawyer. Back in Bo's office, Ramsey recounted the way Miles was shot. "Is that what happened?" Bo asked. "No, it's not," John replied. "That's all false." Ramsey couldn't believe what he was hearing but was even more surprised when John "confessed" to shooting Miles.

Talia ran into Antonio and they had an awkward moment. Antonio asked why things were no longer the same between them, and he wondered if there would be no more small talk between them. "Yeah, that works for me," she said.

John told Natalie that Miles' shooting was an accident. Natalie asked if John was the shooter. John wouldn't answer. The doctor came out with an update on Miles' condition. "He's a lucky man," the doctor said. Miles had survived. Natalie was relieved. John got a call from the station and had to go back. He refused to give Natalie any details on the shooting. Starr went to the hospital trying to get the scoop on Miles' condition. Natalie left Miles' room. Starr slipped in and asked Miles, "Do you have any idea who did this to you?" "Yes, I do," he answered. "Cole."

A drunken Charlie stumbled into the diner, startling Gigi, Noelle and Marcie. The waitresses sat Charlie down and took the booze away from him. He explained that he had found his son, who didn't want anything to do with him.
Charlie looked at Marcie (passing herself off as Sally Ann). "Wait, wait, wait. I know you, don't I?" he slurred. Marcie said that was impossible. Charlie talked about how Viki had been hopeful about a father/son reunion. "Thank God Viki is not here," Charlie mused. Gigi helped Charlie get back to his room, where he immediately passed out.

Thursday

Starr tried to convince Miles that Cole shot him by accident. She apologized on Cole's behalf but Miles muttered, "He meant to kill me." Natalie came by and was surprised to see Starr with Miles. Starr lied and said she was applying to be a candy striper. Natalie didn't believe a word she said. Bo and Ramsey visited Miles at the hospital and questioned him. Ramsey didn't think Bo believed that John shot Miles. Bo asked Miles what happened at the docks.

Indeed, Bo couldn't believe that John shot Miles Lawrence. It ended up being John's word against Ramsey's. John said that the shooting was an accident, and he continued to blame Ramsey for Marty's death. "Bring in Cole Thornhart and I'll get the truth out of him," Ramsey demanded. Then he stormed out. Bo warned John that if was lying about this, his career would be over. John said he'd lost everything already anyway.

Langston and Cole were stunned when the real estate agent arrived at the Wilde family house. Langston was pained to hear the agent go into details about selling her house. "Pretty soon, strangers are going to be living in our house," she lamented. Cole began to explain that it took him a while to consider Llanview his home. Starr rushed in and told the kids that Miles was okay and that John had confessed to shooting him.

Todd gave Viki the details on why he and Blair remarried. Viki made plans to head back to Paris, Texas. Todd thought that would be a good idea, as there was someone there who needed her (Charlie) and everyone was okay in Llanview. Blair had a big hug for Viki. Viki told Blair that Todd was doing just fine because of Blair's influence. Blair beamed and rushed to find her husband.

Earlier, Cristian talked with Blair about his lingering feelings for Evangeline. "You do not want to feel stuck living in the past," Blair advised. Meanwhile, Sarah regretted getting involved with Cristian. Layla said that Cris and Evangeline had broken up for a reason. Blair told Cris that she's never been able to get over Todd. "He always seems to come under my skin," she confessed. Blair suggested he try to see Evangeline. Cris explained that Vangie's mother was restricting her visitors to family only.

Antonio apologized for leading Talia on. She accused him letting her follow him around like a puppy dog. Talia placed her request for a transfer on Bo's desk.

Friday

Sarah proudly told Cristian she had booked two bands. "You're good," Cris said with a smile. Sarah asked Cris about his conversation with Blair about Evangeline. Cris didn't want to have that discussion. "It feels weird talking to you about my ex," he explained. Sarah reminded him that they work together and they see each other every day. She began to gush a bit about how good Cristian smells. Sarah wanted to talk things out so she wouldn't get weak at the knees when she was with him. Cris told her that he was hoping to visit Evangeline. Adriana caught up with Sarah at the bar.

Later, Cristian did go to visit Evangeline but found her room empty. "She's gone," the nurse told a startled Cris.

Dorian told Adrian she and Clint had broken up. She offered Adrian a drink to change the subject. Adriana came by to ask for some advice about Rex. "Are you and Rex having problems?" Dorian asked, with some hope in her voice. No, Adriana needed a suggestion for a present for Rex. "I want a good-looking, dependable watch that I can get engraved," Adriana said. Dorian claimed she would buy the watch herself. Then she announced that she wanted to buy Adriana a condo for Christmas. Adriana accused her mother of not thinking that Rex was good enough for her, and she left for Capricorn. Rex came by and asked for Dorian for Adriana's hand in marriage.

Earlier, A frustrated Rex had no money to pay the liquor delivery at Ultra Violet.
Rex asked Nash for some advice regarding Adriana. Rex reminded him that "her family's rich and I'm not. How am I supposed to get her a present that's worthy of her?" Nash and Jessica came to Ultra Violet so they wouldn't run into Antonio. Jessica hinted that Rex should perhaps propose to Adriana. Nash and Jessica gushed over each other as Rex considered the idea.

Clint called Cord with the whole Jared-is-a-Buchanan news. Nigel said it would be worse if David Vickers were Clint's half-brother. (Wink, wink.) Clint couldn't help but agree with Nigel, but asked, "Why are you bringing his name up?" Renee interrupted and clarified that Asa's affair with David's mother ended years before David was born. "Compared to Vickers, Quasimodo would look good," Clint quipped. Renee asked for a moment alone with Clint. She asked what he was going to do with his anger when it's proved that Jared is Asa's son. Renee insisted that Jared was the spitting image of Asa when he was young. Bo came in with the test results. "It's a match. He's Pa's son," Bo confirmed. Natalie left the room. Jared went after her and pulled her into a kiss.

Cole told Starr and Langston that he couldn't let John take the rap for shooting Miles. Starr thought John did it as a way to care for Cole. She feared that Cole wouldn't survive prison. "My dad was there," she reminded him. Starr snapped at Langston for agreeing with Cole's decision to turn himself in. Cole gave Starr a kiss before leaving to confess. She begged him not to go, but he left. Cole showed up outside of Miles' room. John didn't want him to turn himself in. Cole insisted it was the only thing he could do.

Outside of Miles' hospital room, Natalie and John talked. Roxy barged into the room. "Oh my God, who did this to you?" Roxy demanded. Bo insisted that Roxy leave the room. "See you later, Rox," Miles said. John headed out of the room but Miles asked him to stay. Miles asked about Cole. Ramsey repeated that Cole had shot Miles. Bo asked Miles to tell him the truth about what happened at the docks. "I'm sorry, but I don't remember who shot me," Miles claimed. Ramsey tried to refresh Miles' memory but he wasn't changing his mind. Ramsey was clearly annoyed. "So fine," Ramsey huffed. "Arrest McBain." Miles seemed surprised that John confessed to shooting him. John told Bo what happened in Ireland and afterwards. John told an edited story of the shooting, with no mention of Cole. An angry Ramsey stormed off. "This doesn't add up, John, you know that," Bo told him. Bo received Jared's DNA results. "What does it say?" Natalie asked. "Is Jared my uncle?" Bo said he'd round up the family and left.
