One Life To Live Recaps
OLTL Week of December 13, 2010
Monday
John took Natalie by surprise when he got down on one knee and proposed to her. She quickly excused herself. Meanwhile, Rex was on the prowl outside of Eddie's motel room. He got into an argument with the cleaning lady outside; Nora remained tied up inside. He was about to break in when a very rattled Natalie called. She wanted advice, thinking Rex's chat with John might've prompted the proposal. Rex was confused. "Isn't this what you want?" he asked. Nat was concerned about Marty; Rex told her to take a chance on happiness. Nat returned; John gave her a hard time for stalling. He explained the timing seems right to get married and he wants to do right by her. She continued to question his motives until he declared his love for her, adding that she's worth the risk. She finally said yes.
Matthew caught Bo and Inez making out on the couch and rushed out in a fit of rage. Inez invited Bo back to the bedroom, where he heard Nora's voice and called Inez "Red." After, Inez broke down when she realized Bo thinks she's Nora. She fretted about not holding up her end of the deal and how she's going to get rid of Eddie.
The Ford brothers tangled with Eddie at the gym and when Ford threw a punch, their big rumble happened sooner than expected. Eddie pummeled Ford to the ground and knocked him out with a face butt. James pulled out a gun. Brody tried to break up the fight. "You got your fight and I won it. I ain't going nowhere!" Eddie seethed. Langston suggested Eddie should be arrested for assault; Brody declared it self-defense. Everyone was upset. Before Eddie left, James gave him another icy threat; Starr was concerned. Ford refused to go to the hospital. Brody warned the boys to steer clear of Eddie. Later, Dani got a call from Matthew, who was angry and wanted her to tell Nate that his mom is a whore and a homewrecker. James went for walk alone; Starr advised him not to follow Eddie.
Back at Eddie's, Rex jimmied the door open and was shocked to find Nora
kidnapped. He freed her. Nora tried to put on a brave face but she was in
both physical and emotional pain. Rex tried to help as best he could and
explained why he's there. Nora begged him to call Bo right away and feared that Eddie's plan to break up her marriage might've worked.
Brody returned home, where John was excited to tell him about the engagement news but Nat lied. John was confused; she explained that she wants to keep it special and between them for a while before her family interferes with the wedding drama. He agreed.
Matthew was more and more upset as he drove away. He flashed back to seeing his parents at their wedding and felt betrayed. "Those vows meant nothing to them!" he spat. Meanwhile, Rex drove Nora home. She was a mess, worried that Eddie ruined her marriage with the texts. Matthew got distracted, as did Rex. Nora saw an oncoming car and screamed. Matthew clutched the wheel and braced himself. There was a loud crash.
Langston finally got Ford to go to the hospital.... Dani told Nate about
Matthew's call and was outraged.... Eddie returned to his hotel room to
find that Nora and his gun were gone. James arrived shortly after, wielding the weapon. Nate called his mom, told her about the fight and said he has to take Dani home so he'll be late. Inez eyed Bo's gun.... Several hours later, Eddie was dead on his motel room floor with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Tuesday
Gigi rushed to Brody's, worried sick because Rex didn't make it home last night. Brody called the station. At the hospital, Langston looked after Ford, who was on the mend after the fight with Eddie. Starr rushed in, concerned that she hadn't heard from James‹ who entered right on cue. He apologized for being MIA. Ford explained he was kept overnight for observation. Langston mentioned she went to the house to pick up some things for him, and noticed that it didn't look like James had been home at all. Starr was suspicious and asked James where he'd been. He claimed he crashed at the library.
Meanwhile, Eddie was still presumably dead on his motel room floor. Nate looked over his body. "You got what you deserved," he said. Then he rushed out. Inez returned just as Bo woke up in her bed. He was confused and couldn't remember much from the night before and asked if they'd slept together.
Kelly was miffed and angrily cracked some eggs at La Boule. Dorian was excited to hear what happened with Joey. Blair entered and made a crack about Kelly being in love. Dorian goaded Kelly and misunderstood when she said that Joey proposed. "Oh, he proposed!" she trilled and gave Kelly a celebratory squeeze. Dorian then forced Blair, who was still burned about her own botched relationship with Eli, to give Kelly her blessing. The women bickered. Kelly finally explained what really happened. "He proposed ... to someone else," she said warily. Blair was amused by the story of Kelly's humiliation. They tangled again. Dorian suggested Kelly take another stab at Joey, pointing out that she has nothing to lose at this point. Meanwhile, Joey told Jessica that he's engaged and the only person who seems to support it is, surprisingly, Kelly. Jess tried to be happy for him and was stunned
to hear that Kelly is getting married to Kevin again.
Rex woke up in his car but was still out of it. He managed to call Gigi and tried to tell her where he was before passing out again. Brody and Gigi rushed off to find them. They found Rex unconscious; Gigi desperately begged him to hang on until they get help. Later, an ambulance arrived to take Rex to the hospital but Nora was still missing.
Inez told Bo that he drank a lot the night before, then flashed back to dumping a dozen bottles of beer down the drain. Bo asked her again if they had sex. Before she could answer, Nate knocked on the door and was startled to see the commissioner at his house. Inez finally confirmed that they did have sex and flashed back to apologizing to Bo after he passed out.
Back at the hospital, Langston and Starr wondered how the Ford boys would get rid of Eddie now. James said he has feeling that everything's going to be okay. Ford was released. He got serious when he thanked Lang for staying with him there all night; she told him it wasn't a big deal. Starr wouldn't let James go home until he explained himself, surmising he went to see Eddie after all.
After her chat with Dorian, Kelly marched over to the Buchanan manse to see Joey. Meanwhile, Blair chided her aunt for humiliating Kelly even more. Dorian admitted she's afraid of allowing herself to love again, which is why she wants her daughter to be strong and courageous. Then she promptly advised Blair to get over the Eli situation.
Inez asked Nate what's bothering him. He brushed off her concern and split. She eyed Bo's gun. Bo was overwhelmed with guilt for what he'd done to Nora.... Nate flashed back to the scene of the crime.... Brody went to Eddie's room and discovered the body.
Wednesday
Blair reunited with the mysterious box from Eli and wrestled with opening it.... Aubrey was catching up with someone on the phone, explaining that the woman she met on the plane is actually Joey's ex, who is still in love with him.
At the hospital, Rex was still unconscious. Gigi was freaked out and told the doctors that his last word was "Nora." She was confused about why Nora was involved. Charlie rushed to see his injured son. Meanwhile, Bo reviewed his message from Nora (or rather, Eddie) and was ridden with guilt for sleeping with Inez. He called his MIA wife and was desperate to talk things out. Then Gigi called about Rex's accident.
Echo sneaked a drink from a flask hidden in her purse and was confronted by Viki, who said she knows that Echo kissed Charlie. Echo played dumb; Viki blamed the binge drinking. Echo backpedaled and apologized to Viki, adding how gracious she's been to Echo. Viki didn't buy it, but agreed to give Echo another chance, for Charlie's sake. The situation was made worse when Charlie called Echo with news of Rex's accident. Although he told her to inform Viki, Echo just ran off, adding, "Charlie needs me!" Viki was miffed.
Aubrey went to thank Viki for her blessing regarding the wedding. Meanwhile, Kelly showed up to talk to Joey. She admitted that she's stressed. He poured her a drink and they got close when Joey helped Kelly get lemon pulp out of her eye. Aubrey walked in just in time to see them. They explained it was nothing. Kelly was insecure and talked herself out of telling Joey about her feelings for him, offering to help with the wedding instead. She left in a hurry; Viki drove her home and called her out on still loving Joey. "Poor kid," Viki sighed.
At the police station, Natalie made sure John was keeping their engagement a secret. John got word that Eddie is dead and reported to Bo, who wanted to keep it quiet until they figure out what happened. John and Natalie went to the scene of the crime; the gun was missing. Later, Brody arrived and wondered why Nat wasn't more concerned about Rex. Everyone finally realized that Rex was at the scene of the crime. John found a cufflink. Nat found a long red hair.
Téa overheard Todd discussing Eddie Ford and pressed him to tell her what he's up to. Blair went to ask Téa, as her attorney, if she'd be okay opening the box. Téa pointed out that Blair really needs a friend. Todd teased Blair for being so insecure; Téa advised her to open the box. Todd offered to do it for them and grabbed a mallet but before he could open it, there was a knock at the door. John arrived with the cufflinks bearing Todd's initials and said they were found at the scene of the crime.
Back at the hospital, Starr said she couldn't blame James for going to Eddie's after the fight. He finally admitted that he did. She pressed him for more information but he hesitated and didn't want to get the authorities involved. Then Bo arrived to inform James that Eddie is dead and that there will be a murder investigation. After Bo left, James was relieved that it was all over. Starr asked James if he killed Eddie.
Echo and Charlie rushed to Rex's side and were worried sick. Echo let Charlie comfort her. Charlie fretted about never telling Rex he loves him. Later, Charlie caught Echo drinking. Meanwhile, Rex woke up and told Bo that Nora was with him.
Thursday
Charlie caught Echo drinking at the hospital and told her that she has a
problem. Echo claimed she just needed to take the edge off. Viki, meanwhile,
left a voice message for her husband to find out why he needed to see Echo
so suddenly. Dorian arrived; Viki caught her up on the situation. Dorian was
convinced that Echo was after Charlie and offered to play the bad guy for
Viki. She was certain she could get Echo out of the house for Viki so she
won't get hurt like David hurt Dorian. They shook on it. "We're going to
bring that bitch down!" Dorian grinned.
Darren and Destiny noticed that Matthew was upset. Meanwhile, Nate told Dani
there's something she needs to know. Nate confronted Matthew about what he'd
said about Inez. Destiny was stunned when Matthew explained that Inez is
sleeping with his dad and he saw it with his own eyes. Dani urged Nate to
back off, saying that Matthew's just trying to provoke him. Matthew
explained to Destiny that he was so outraged after he found out that he
drove and had to pull over because he almost got into an accident. Darren
reported to Dani and Nate that Eddie is dead.
Rex informed Bo that Eddie had Nora kidnapped at the motel. Bo was outraged
about the texts; Bo explained Nora was worried about Bo sleeping with Inez.
Bo surmised that Nora walked to get help after the car accident and was hell
bent on finding her. Meanwhile, Inez told Clint that she slept with Bo. He
was happy to relay the news of Eddie's death and said she got what she
wanted. Inez flashed back to Bo's gun and asked if Clint killed Eddie. Clint
explained that he isn't the shooter and didn't have to do it because someone
else did. Inez pointed out that Clint didn't hold up his end of the bargain
and admitted she lied about Bo, but fibbed that he pushed her away which is
why they didn't have sex. She kept quiet about the drugging and told Clint
their deal is off and that she doesn't owe him anything. He threatened back
that he'd finger one of her sons for the murder if she didn't follow his
lead.
At the hospital, Starr asked James if he killed Eddie. He admitted that he
took the gun from Eddie's duffel bag after the fight and pointed it at his
dad later at the motel. Starr was stunned when James admitted that he had
talked to Todd before and Todd told him the only way to get rid of an abuser
is by death, which is what James thought about when he pulled the gun on his
dad. She implored him to tell her what really happened.
Todd refused to answer any of John's questions about being at the murder
scene or the cufflinks, per Ta's advice. Blair pointed out that Todd didn't
even know Eddie. John called Todd out on hiring Rex to investigate Eddie.
After John left, Blair revealed that she had those cufflinks made for Todd
years ago and they are one of a kind. Ta wanted to know why Todd lied.
Bob went to the site of Rex's accident and frantically started searching for
Nora. He found her wedding ring and wondered why she wasn't wearing it. Nora
then came out of the woods and reunited with Bo.... Back at the hospital,
Rex went to talk to Charlie and Echo, who denied she has a drinking problem.
A mini intervention took place and Charlie offered to be there with her
through her recovery. So, Echo admitted she does have an issue.... Just as
James was about to leave, John arrived to talk to him about Eddie.
Friday
Bo and Nora continued their emotional reunion in the woods. Nora broke down and was elated to see her husband. She explained what happened while Rex recounted the same to Natalie at the hospital, saying that Eddie had held Nora hostage. Natalie remembered the red hair she found at the crime scene and figured it must be Nora's. She was stunned that someone like Eddie could possibly break up such a strong couple like Bo and Nora. Meanwhile, Nora told Bo that she got out of the car after the accident to get help but doesn't remember where she went for the rest of the night. Then she said that Eddie kidnapped her and begged Bo to arrest him.
Matthew and Nate fought in the school auditorium. Matthew was
bitter and angry about Inez cheating with Bo and railed at Nate.
Dani tried to calm both boys down; it didn't work. Matthew refused to give
Nate sympathy for Eddie's death. Nate wasn't sad, either, but angrily said
he's surprised Eddie wasn't killed sooner. Destiny got into a tiff with
Darren over saying she feels sorry about Nate's dad. Matthew said Darren
couldn't understand because he doesn't know what it's like to have his
parents betray him. Matthew and Destiny shared a bonding moment over being pinned as the bad guys all the time.
Inez was outraged that Clint was trying to blackmail her and bringing her
sons into it. She was certain her boys wouldn't kill their dad. Clint
demanded that she keep her mouth shut about Bo, lest he go to the cops. She flashed back to the gun.
Bo took Nora to the hospital to get checked out. She got emotional as she
told him that Eddie touched her and she was scared out of her mind. Bo told her it would be okay because Eddie is dead. They sorted out the situation with the texts and both apologized to each other. Nora said Inez is at the top of her suspect list of who's responsible for trying to tear them apart. Bo was guilt-ridden and said there's something Nora needs to know.
Natalie finally told Rex that she accepted John's proposal but wants to keep things quiet because she's terrified that Marty is going to spill the beans about the paternity test. Rex was happy for her but concerned and warned his sis that she can't live with her secret forever, especially if she plans on marrying John. Rex supported whatever decision she came to.
John questioned James, who admitted he went to Eddie's hotel with a gun to kill him. Starr interjected and tried to cover for James, to no avail. James flashed back to his encounter with Eddie, confessing that he pulled the trigger but missed Eddie because he wasn't worth it. He said he
tossed the gun on the floor before he left. He was released and admitted to Starr he didn't shoot Eddie because of her.
Blair demanded to know if Todd killed Eddie. Todd admitted to Blair that he hired Rex to scare Eddie and make sure he stayed away from Dani, who was scared after her earlier encounter with him. Blair was upset when Todd suggested James did it and declared him a hero. "She can sure pick'em can't she?" he smirked. "Must be genetic." Blair was not amused and reminded him about the cufflinks. She asked Todd not to get himself arrested for murder and left, with the unopened mystery box in tow. "I've had too many surprises today," she sighed when Todd asked why she's not opening it now.
Téa informed Todd that she thinks someone else went to Eddie's and killed him after James left. "Quit looking at me," Todd said. Dani came home and was rattled. She couldn't shake the fact that Nate didn't act surprised when he found out his dad was murdered.... Nate asked Inez if she slept with Bo.... John created a suspect list for Eddie's murder.
