One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of December 14, 2009

Monday

As Bo, Nora, Todd and Téa cornered Ross on a bridge near the Canadian border, Bo informed Ross that there's nowhere else to go. Ross made a desperate move and headed toward Todd with the stolen car, but Blair pulled the emergency brake and the car swerved into the side of the bridge. Todd told a frightened Téa that there's no way he'll let harm come to their daughter. Bo and Nora stole a kiss after Ross nearly cost them their lives. Bo instructed Téa and Todd to stay put and let the authorities deal with this. As Téa was pleading with Bo to let her talk to Ross, a shot rang out. Everyone looked over to see Ross holding Blair at gunpoint. Todd defied Bo's orders and approached Ross, asking that he take Todd instead of Blair and even tempted him with getaway money.

Charlie downed a fifth of vodka on the terrace while Viki was inside reading. Jessica came running in to tell Charlie and Viki that Mitch had stabbed himself. Later, she asked Charlie if he had been drinking and told him that she could smell the vodka on his breath. Charlie lied that it was probably the cough syrup he had earlier, but Jessica wasn't buying it. Charlie sat down and admitted that he slipped ... and begged Jessica to keep this quiet from her mother. He even picked up the phone to set up a "meeting" with his sponsor.

At the station, Brody told John that he needs to speak with Natalie about what happened. John argued that Natalie is too emotional to give a statement, but Brody was suspicious. John returned to his office and told Natalie they need to get their stories straight, but she didn't want John to cover for her. He asked her to relay what happened, so she recalled running into Kim in Jared's office and later hearing that Mitch's case had been thrown out. She then found the Christmas gift and card, reminding her that all of this happened because of Mitch, so she snatched the letter opener with the intent to kill Mitch. Because she brought the weapon with her, John noted, she won't be able to plead temporary insanity. Viki walked in and overheard John saying he wants to protect Natalie. John explained that he just wants to protect Natalie from Mitch, and reiterated the story that Mitch stabbed himself. Viki was concerned to hear that Natalie had been there when it happened and insisted her daughter go home with her and rest.

Schuyler lamented to Rachel that he can't live without Gigi. Rachel wondered if keeping the truth from her was really the right way to go about winning her heart, but Schuyler was afraid that Gigi would be upset to hear about his one-night stand with Stacy. At the carriage house, Rex informed Gigi that he can't make things work with her as long as she's unsure about her feelings for Schuyler. Gigi asked if this means they're splitting up for good. He wasn't sure, but reminded her that Gigi's been turning to Schuyler for a while now instead of him. He even suggested that Gigi live elsewhere while Shane stays with him. He assured her that he loves her and that once they get past this, they'll know for sure whether they're meant to be.

Stacy and Kim waited with bated breath outside the mansion as "Nigel" told Clint the news about Bo and Nora. Covering his mouth with a handkerchief so as not to give away his unsightly Nevil teeth, he broke it to Clint that Nora and Bo were "snogging" the night before his wedding to her. Clint laughed when "Nigel" claimed that he heard this from David, but started to believe the claim as he thought about the last few months and the apparent closeness between Bo and Nora. Coming to the conclusion that "Nigel" was telling the truth, Clint was destroyed. Nevil slipped out to tell Kim and Stacy that he'd done the deed and winked to Kim that they can now get to know each other better. Clint, meanwhile, stewed in the living room. He thought back to their wedding day, then hurled a framed photo of them and Bo at the wall.

Todd seemed to have Ross interested in his offer, but Danielle jumped out and begged her father to stop. She promised that if he hurts anyone she'll run away. Just then, Blair knocked the car door into Ross's knees, and Todd lunged for the gun while Blair dashed across the bridge. Ross suggested to Danielle that they jump into the water below and swim to safety, but she was terrified. Todd shot Ross in order to stop him from taking Danielle down with him, and Danielle was devastated as she watched her "father" fall into the freezing water below.

Tuesday

Gigi paid Viki a visit to let her know that she and Rex are taking a break. She admitted to Viki that this time their split has to do with her conflicted feelings for Schuyler. Viki asked if she's leaving Rex for Schuyler, and Gigi's answer went from, "No," to "Maybe?" She tried to explain how she got to this point, and Viki advised Gigi that she can't waffle forever. Meanwhile, Shane asked Rex a few questions, such as, "What does Mom need to think about?" and "Is this all Schuyler's fault?"

Nigel found Clint in the living room and was alarmed when he saw the broken glass on the floor. Kim waited outside the mansion plotting her next move. Clint asked a confused Nigel to be discreet, then dismissed him. Kim swooped in and told Clint that she took care of everything at the meeting he missed. Clint ended up blurting out that his wife is cheating on him with his brother. Kim was seemingly sincere as she reassured him that he doesn't deserve this.

Greg, apparently now a part-time employee at the Seattle hospital, met with Matthew and his parents to announce his release. Bo and Nora caught Matthew up on what happened at the bridge. Matthew was shocked to hear about the tragic turn of events, and Bo remarked how rare it is for Todd to stick his neck out for someone like that. Matthew wanted to see Dani right away and even tried to get up and walk. Outside his hospital room, Nora and Bo agreed it was time to tell Clint the truth. Nora phoned Clint to let him know that she's coming home tonight, and he was very strange on the phone with her, pretending that there was a bad connection so he wouldn't have to say "I love you" back to her. Afterward, Kim indirectly suggested he "get even."

Elijah came into the Seattle PD and reported to Blair, Todd and Téa that they haven't yet found a body, although the cops doubted Ross survived the fall. Danielle overheard and cried out that there's no way her father is dead. Everyone told Danielle to calm down, but she yelled that Todd is to blame. Todd turned to Blair and confronted her about keeping the truth from him. Téa tried to comfort Danielle and insisted that she come home with them to Llanview. Danielle told Téa that she can't be her mother anymore and promised to hate Todd for the rest of her life. Téa and Todd were devastated by the girl's outrage. Matthew and his family arrived, and Matthew offered Danielle a place to stay while she sorts things out with her mom. Nora checked with Téa first, then agreed to let Danielle stay with them. Téa and Todd decided to tell Danielle the truth once the dust settles.

At the Buenos Dias, Destiny reunited with Shaun and told him all about their awkward plane ride, where Rachel got stuck sitting next to their chatty mom for five hours. She also told Shaun all about Matthew's pretty friend, Danielle. Meanwhile, Stacy ran into Schuyler, who was quick to critique the mom-to-be's breakfast order.

Viki offered Gigi the key to her Llantano Mountain cabin so that she can clear her head up there. Gigi returned to the carriage house to get her things and say good-bye to Shane. Stacy arrived just as Gigi was coming downstairs with her bags, and wondered if the two were splitting up. Gigi and Rex privately said good-bye outside, and reiterated their mutual love and wish that things work out. Stacy promptly reported to Schuyler that his "window of opportunity" to move in on Gigi is wide open.

Wednesday

Dorian was thrilled that her stint at the county jail was over, but her happiness was cut short as she saw Mitch's mug on the front page of The Sun announcing that he'd survived. "The bastard lived," she muttered. Nevertheless, Dorian was on a mission to make her and Amelia's marriage legal — until Delphina waltzed in and told her she's not going anywhere. Delphina predicted that someone in that room would die a horrible death if she didn't rip up that marriage certificate. Starr urged Dorian to take her seriously, pointing out that she was right when Starr and her baby were in danger. Dorian nodded in agreement, but said she's committed to her fight for gay marriage.

Kyle visited a recovering Nick in the hospital and asked if he has someone to take care of him. Nick said he would stay with his aunt. Once he was gone, Amelia remarked that Nick's got it bad for Kyle. Nick reminded Amelia that she's still holding out for Dorian to return her feelings. Meanwhile, a young nurse asked Fish if he's "seeing anyone" and Fish got a little red-faced as he told her he is, in fact, taken. Kyle ran into Fish outside Mitch's door, while John was inside hovering over Mitch's bedside with the tampered letter opener. Mitch woke up and asked if John's there to make sure he gets well. Mitch swore to John that Natalie would pay for what she did to him.

Fish pointed out that they never really finished their first "date" and he still has that gift from Roxy, wink, wink. When Kyle returned to check on Nick, the patient claimed that he couldn't stay with his aunt anymore and managed to wrangle an invite to stay with Kyle. When Kyle told Fish that he offered to take care of Nick for a while, Fish was concerned about how they'd get some alone time together. Meanwhile, roommates Cristian and Layla decorated for their first Christmas together. Layla worried about having to tell her mom that she's dating Evangeline's ex, but he promised to do it with her.

Brody picked up on a weird vibe between Charlie and Jessica at the diner. Jessica later admitted that Charlie had told her he'd had a drink. Brody confided in Jessica his belief that John tampered with evidence and is lying for Natalie, then headed to the hospital to relieve Fish of his guard duty. When Brody arrived, Mitch asked that the cop take a statement from him and claimed that McBain is lying. Just as he was about to name the person who stabbed him, Natalie walked in. "The person who stabbed me is John McBain," he proclaimed.

Natalie admitted to Viki that she'd been up all night, and asked her mom if Mitch was still alive. Unfortunately, he is, Viki told her. Viki asked if John was telling the truth when he said he was protecting Natalie from reporters. Charlie walked in and seemed startled to see Viki at home, which did not go undetected by Viki. Natalie excused herself, and Viki produced the bottle of vodka she'd found in the bushes. Charlie insisted that he had not been drinking, and Jessica overheard the blatant lie. Once Viki was gone, Jessica jumped all over Charlie, who swore that the bottle was from the one time he slipped and vowed not to hurt her mom.

Amelia walked in to La Boulaie and was stunned to see Delphina there. Dorian asked how they know each other, and Amelia admitted that "Del" was once her girlfriend. The two started bickering like lovers, and Starr pointed out that Del's clearly there to get Amelia back. Amelia admitted that she married Dorian solely so that she and Delphina could marry someday. Dorian asked if Delphina came there to predict her death just to get her girlfriend back. They recalled the obstacles that held them back, but Markko, Starr, Cole and Langston reminded the women that they can get through anything if they're really in love. Amelia and Delphina shared an emotional reunion as Dorian et al looked on in awe.

Thursday

Mitch gave a statement to Brody, insisting that John lied to protect someone — himself, because he's the one who stabbed Mitch. The patient went on to fabricate a story about how he goaded John into stabbing him with lewd remarks about Natalie, then insisted that Brody arrest John. Not wanting John to take the fall, Natalie admitted to Brody that she stabbed Mitch. But Mitch continued to insist that it was John, and recalled that the weapon used to stab him had the initials "JB" on it, urging Brody to take a look at the one John produced for evidence. He tried to get into Brody's head by recalling what he went through at St. Ann's, and Brody was suddenly very still, as though entranced. Brody pulled John aside and asked where the weapon is. John insisted that it will be where it's supposed to be when he returns to the station.

Dorian refused to abandon her plan to make her and Amelia's union legal and said she didn't want people to think their marriage was a stunt. Amelia insisted that she further the cause for gay marriage with her real lover by her side, not Dorian, and hugged Delphina. Amelia extended her hand and asked Dorian for her support and her friendship. Dorian tore up the marriage certificate and gave Amelia a hug. Suddenly, Delphina sensed evil, and she wasn't faking. "The Cramer women are in danger," she predicted, noting that "Satan himself" was sending her a message. Dorian was rightfully spooked when a package arrived shortly after. She nervously signed for it, then was relieved when she assumed it was the proof from her holiday greeting card. What she saw inside, however, made her tremble.

Clint thought back to Nora's vows and concluded they were "too short and sweet," noting that should have been his first clue. Kim barged into the mansion and asked to see Clint. Clint told Nigel that they have a few things to do before Nora arrives home. Kim was delighted to hear that Clint was ready to get even. They sat down to lunch (well, Clint's was liquid) and discussed their game plan.

At the airport, Nora wondered why Clint hadn't been answering her calls. Danielle exploded at her mother and Todd, asking how she could let her boyfriend kill her "father." She even claimed that she hates Téa and wants her to die. Bo and Nora were uncomfortable as they witnessed the family squabble and Matthew assured Danielle that she can stay with them. Téa was devastated by her daughter's rejection.

Kim asked Clint if he's ready, just as Bo, Nora, Matthew and Danielle arrived at the mansion. Nora introduced Dani to Nigel, then suggested that everyone go get a bite to eat at the diner so she and Clint can "chat." Bo asked if she plans to tell Clint about them tonight, but Nora said she was going to wait. When Bo was gone, Nora went to look for Clint, but he wasn't in the living room. Nigel suggested Miss Andrews had left, so Clint must be upstairs. Nora headed to their bedroom and was aghast to see Clint in bed with his sexy, young assistant.

Matt escorted Téa to her suite at the Palace and reminded her that she was 15 once, too, and probably said the same kind of things Danielle had just said. Alone, Téa went through her case of keepsakes and recalled young Danielle reading the poem to her. Meanwhile, Blair assured Todd that he would someday win Danielle over. Starr was thrilled when her parents walked in the wide-open door of La Boulaie, while Dorian was nowhere to be seen. When Todd was taking off his jacket, the small photo that Téa gave him of Danielle fell out. "What's this?" Starr asked, picking it up off the floor. At the Palace, Téa was surprised to receive a visit from Blair. Dorian headed to the hospital to confront Mitch with the death threat he sent her.

Friday

At the hospital, Dorian confronted Mitch about his threats against her family. As he detailed the whereabouts of each of her family members, Mitch made it very clear that he's not bluffing.

Blair made a surprising visit to Téa and explained that she was there to apologize. She said she was wrong to use her children to try to keep Todd and Téa apart. Téa wasn't willing to accept Blair's apology. Blair reminded Téa that she's been lying to Todd for 15 years, yet he still seems to love her. Téa wasn't so sure he'd take her back, so Blair made a back-handed joke about him certainly not winning Marty back anytime soon. The women shared a rare laugh, but Téa was still upset and pointed out that she did just lose her ex-husband. As Téa began to cry, Blair pulled her in for a hug.

Starr asked her father about the photo of Danielle, and he explained that she's Téa's daughter. Smart cookie that she is, Starr asked who Danielle's father is, but bought the story that Ross was the girl's dad. Todd revealed that Ross died during their confrontation on the bridge while he was trying to save Danielle. Starr suggested they get rid of the photo so that he wouldn't have to be reminded of the tragedy.

After walking in on them in bed together, Nora stared at her husband and Kim in horror. "I guess she caught us," Clint winked, as Kim cozied up to him. "Who is this person?" Nora demanded. Clint explained that Kim is his new personal assistant. Nora was furious. Once Kim was out of the room, she asked Clint's what's going on. He made up a story about how he went for a walk in the woods the night before their wedding, ran into Kim and they walked in the moonlight, kissed, etc. The story clearly was a retelling of her and Bo's situation, and Nora suddenly realized that Clint knew the truth. She admitted to having doubts, and he chastised her for not being honest with him about those doubts. Finally, he got her to tell him the truth: "I'm in love with your brother," she declared. Clint asked if they had sex, but she insisted that all they did was kiss and had intended to come clean with Clint. Nora argued that at least they tried to do the right thing, as opposed to him and his romp with Kim. "I never had any doubts, and I did not have sex with her," he revealed. Nora was shocked to hear that he set her up and begged Clint to understand that they didn't betray him. Clint had some very hurtful words for her, however, when she offered to leave the mansion.

Bo phoned Nora from the diner and left a message saying he misses her, unaware of what was going down at the mansion. Destiny arrived at the mansion and bullied Nigel into revealing Matthew's whereabouts, while Matt was at the diner eating with Danielle. Matthew tried to confront his distraught friend, who ranted that no one even cares that Ross is dead. Dani was thrilled when Matthew suggested that they have their own memorial service for Ross. Destiny walked in just as the two were hugging. Destiny explained that she had something to tell Matthew, but it could wait. She asked Danielle why Ross wasn't in jail for kidnapping. Dani suddenly cried, "My father's dead, okay?" and began to jump all over Destiny for indirectly causing her father's death (ouch!) Destiny ran off in tears. Meanwhile, Kim sat at the counter sketching out her fantasy engagement ring from Clint. Later, Danielle hovered outside La Boulaie as Todd and Starr were inside sharing a moment, and vowed to destroy Todd's life.

Bo walked into Mitch's hospital room just as he was threatening Dorian. Mitch told Bo he has no interest in talking to him. Nigel phoned Bo and suggested he come to the house because there's trouble. Once Bo was gone, Mitch reminded Dorian that he's serious about hurting her girls if she doesn't fire Bo! Meanwhile, Bo headed to the mansion and found Nora on her way out in tears. "He knows!" she cried. He assured her that everything would be fine, but Clint showed up with a shotgun and told him to guess again.
