Monday
Ramsey was introduced as the new police commissioner. Antonia, Talia and Rex were shocked. Ramsey said that the days of criminals walking the street of Llanview were over. Gigi tried to make a dash but Viki stopped her. "I have to go get Shane right now," she insisted. Ramsey cornered Gigi before she left.
Gigi promised to leave Llanview forever and "we're not going to cause you any trouble." Ramsey made it clear that he knew where Shane was. Bo asked Ramsey what he had on the mayor. "Why are you in Llanview?" Bo asked. Ramsey wondered if Bo had thought about going back to Texas. Bo vowed he'd get to the bottom of this. "I'm going to be a thorn in your side...no, I'm going to be the whole damn bramble bush," he promised. Ramsey smirked and left. Blair assured Ramsey that he'd never have power over them. Ramsey replied that Todd had tried to shoot a woman and her son. Todd and Blair just laughed.
Dorian commented that Rex must be happy to know he was sired by Charlie. Indeed, Rex and Adriana looked very happy hanging out with Charlie. Rex brought Charlie up to speed on the whole Natalie/Mitch Laurence/Roxy saga.
Dorian made things very uncomfortable for Charlie. Todd told the mayor he had made a psycho the police commissioner. The mayor countered that Todd belonged behind bars. The two men exchanged a few more barbs.
Starr told Cole she loved him and that having Mary J. Blige at her surprise party topped off the best night of her life. Cole and Langston agreed that things had changed between them, just a bit. Markko explained to Starr that planning her party had given Cole and Langston something to focus on besides their grief.
Lindsay caught Nora going through all the Valentine's Day secrets. Lindsay called her a shrew and threatened to attack her. The two women began fighting over the scraps of paper. Finally, Lindsay found her secret. "I faked my insanity," it read. Clint interrupted the squabble. The women tried to explain what they were doing. Clint told them that Bo had been replaced by Lee Ramsey. Nora was horrified and claimed Lindsay as the reason Bo lost his job. Clint confirmed Nora's theory, then ushered the ladies back to the dance. Roxy came across the secrets and began to take some. Dorian caught her.
Jared told Natalie he loved her. Understandably she looked puzzled. "What's wrong with you?" she asked. Meanwhile, Jared's secret slipped out of Nora's hands. "I made it all up. I'm not your uncle," it said. Natalie said it made her sick to her stomach to hear him declare his love. "I don't know why you are doing this," she said. Jared began to explain that he'd had this dream all his life. "It's the truth. The truth can set you free," he said cryptically. Natalie's cell phone rang. Jared asked her not to answer. "I have something else to say that might change our lives." Natalie answered her phone anyway. It was Nash, with news that Jessica and Allison were probably at the ball. Natalie and Jared asked Roxy where Allison was. Roxy played semi-dumb and said she thought she might have seen her. Jared headed out to hunt for them.
Jessica asked the gun-toting Allison why she wanted to kill her. "To complete the circle of life," Allison said, laughing. Jessica mentioned Bree. "She needs her mother," she pleaded. Allison freaked Jessica out by telling her that she had held Bree in her arms. Allison told Jessica to get on her hands and knees and beg for her life. "Please, please," Jessica cried. She was very sorry that Allison had had such a bad life. "You deserve a second chance," Jess said. "I know you have a heart...Please don't let Bree grow up without a mother." Jared arrived, and Allison pointed the gun at both of them. "I get to kill two Buchanans for the price of one," she said gleefully. Ramsey, Viki and Bo watched this play out on the security cameras. Jared grabbed Allison and the gun and the two tumbled over the balcony.
Tuesday
Natalie, Viki, Bo, Charlie and Ramsey saw the would-be shooting between Jessica, Jared and Allison on closed circuit television. Ramsey didn't want a murder on his hands his first day on the job. They watched as Jared and Alison went over the balcony — but they didn't hit the ground. Jared held on to the gutter, with Allison hanging on to him. Ramsey barked at his underlings as they couldn't figure out what balcony they were hanging off from. The video cameras didn't show that Jared and Allison were still alive. Jessica begged them both to hang on. Allison let go of Jared and fell to the street below. "Say bye-bye to your secret," Allison yelled to Jessica as she fell. Charlie found them and ran to their rescue. He begged Jared to hold on. "This is it," Jared said. "I'm not going to lose you again,"
Charlie whispered. Everyone raced to the scene. Charlie, with Bo and Clint, pulled Jared to safety. Rex announced that "this guy, my dad, is a hero."
Natalie knelt down to see how a seriously injured Jared was doing.
Jessica and Natalie learned from Ramsey that Allison was not dead yet. He wondered if they had helped her break out of St. Ann's. The two sisters looked very guilty. Lindsay brought Dorian and Roxy up to speed on what had happened on the balcony. Natalie thanked Jared for saving Jessica's life. Jared began to make an announcement to the remaining guests. "Here it comes," Dorian whispered to herself. Dorian pointed out to Viki that Charlie had risked his life to save the one of "someone he barely knows."
Dorian walked in on Roxy going through the secrets of Llanview. Roxy claimed the box had already been broken into when she got there, and she begged Dorian not to rat her out. Dorian agreed, but insisted Roxy leave immediately. Once alone with the secrets, Dorian read a few of them herself. Roxy then returned to the scene, much to Dorian's embarrassment. The gals bonded over the hilarity of the secrets. The security guard caught them and reminded them that all the secrets were to be destroyed. Roxy left with some secrets but the guard called her back.
Dorian talked to another security guard and realized that the entryway, where everyone had read the secrets, was being videotaped. Uh-oh. Dorian paid the security guard for the surveillance tape. "No one needs to be privy to all the comings and goings," Dorian said, and Roxy agreed.
Todd and Blair left early and headed home. Todd was clearly hiding something. His sour mood changed when they found Jack and Sam on their bed. The parents carried their sons to their own beds. Jack announced that he loved "our family." "Me too," the parents agreed. Blair urged Todd to be appreciative of the tender moment he'd just had with his son. Starr arrived home so happy about her party and so grateful for her family and friends. Blair and Todd sent Starr off to bed. When alone, Todd found a bullet on the bed, most likely left by Ramsey.
Sarah and Cristian agreed they didn't want to wait to sleep together. Cris told her he wanted their first time together to mean something. Sarah said she wasn't afraid of making love but she was afraid of falling in love. Nevertheless, Cris carried Sarah to her bedroom.
Wednesday
Jared began to make an announcement but Nash raced in and hugged Jessica. Jess gave Jared credit for saving her life, and Nash thanked him. "I'm grateful. We all are," Nash said. Jared began his speech. "The truth is," Jared began, "this man Charlie Balsom is..." "A true hero," interrupted Dorian, much to the frustration of Charlie. Both Viki and Charlie wanted Jared to continue, but Dorian wouldn't let him. Dorian lead the applause for Charlie and Jared's heroism, then dragged Jared off for a private confab. "What the hell do you think you are doing?" he asked her. "Keeping you from making the biggest mistake of your life," she replied. Dorian pointed out that he was so close to being a real Buchanan. "YOU came out of this a true hero," she reminded a wary Jared. Charlie headed over to their tête-à-tête. "What exactly are you two doing?" he asked. Dorian told Charlie that Jared couldn't tell anyone that "he's your son." Dorian explained that if the truth about the scam came out, both Banks men would land in jail. She reminded them that they were dealing with the Buchanan family, after all. The Buchanans circled around Jared and thanked him. Then Jared shook Charlie's hand and said, "Thank you for everything," and he meant it. Natalie asked Jared if he wanted to continue their conversation — the one where he declared his love for her. He said no, and basically recanted what he had said previously.
Lindsay told Bo she was moving out of his house and in with RJ that night.
Bo looked surprised. Nora wondered if Lindsay leaving would get Bo his job back. Bo told Nora this wasn't her concern.
Todd pocketed the bullet left by Ramsey. Blair reminded her husband that they had promised to tell each other the truth. Todd blew up at Blair and they began to bicker. Todd said that his family, everyone being together, was bothering him. "All this togetherness isn't working out for me," he said. "I don't do happy. I don't do responsible." He went on to say he wanted freedom "to do whatever I want." Todd claimed they were keeping him from killing Lee Ramsey. Blair was furious at the thought of Todd committing murder. Todd feared chaos now that Ramsey was the police commissioner and was convinced that Ramsey would destroy the Manning family.
Cris and Sarah headed to her bedroom. However, things came to a halt when she saw the mess in her room. Cris didn't care and they continued kissing.
Sarah stopped because she felt the need to tidy up. Cris reminded her that they had lived together and he knows that she's cleaning-impaired.
Thursday
Renee was thrilled to see Jared home safe and sound. While the boys fussed over Jared, Nora and Clint quietly filled Renee in on Bo's firing. Gigi got a call from Ramsey. Renee made a speech about Jared, and they toasted to him. Gigi had to leave, and Shane asked to speak to her before she left. He didn't want to sleep over if he didn't have to, and she promised to do her best to get home to pick him up. After she left, they watched the security tape of Jared's heroic act on TV. Jared thanked Renee for her speech. She told him Asa would have been proud to have him as a son. Jared excused himself, and Nigel thanked him for saving Jessica's life. Jared said it was important to him that the family accepted him. He told Nigel he wouldn't regret keeping David Vickers a secret. Nora and Clint talked about Bo's firing, and Nora mused it was too bad they hadn't found something on Ramsey to keep him in line. The boys came in and asked about Allison, debating how she escaped. After they went to bed, Clint asked Jared to attend a meeting with him in the morning, which Jared was very pleased about. Clint got a phone call, and Nora went to bed. Alone, Jared looked at Natalie's picture.
Gigi joined Ramsey at the bar, and asked what he wanted. He told her he would never harm a child. He wanted to be sure that she and Shane stay in Llanview, where he could "look out for her." Gigi agreed not to leave, and one of his men took her home, but not before Gigi warned him never to try to hurt her son again.
Jessica, Natalie and Nash went to see Allison at the hospital. The nurse told them they didn't think she was going to make it through the night. Natalie went into her room. She asked the unconscious woman why she tried to kill Jessica. She talked about Jared almost dying and flashed back to him telling her he loved her. Out in the hall Antonio approached, saying he had to question Jessica. An officer walked up saying they had recovered a DVD from the scene. Jessica insisted she needed to see the DVD. She told Antonio that on the terrace Allison had taunted her, saying she had a secret about Jessica that would change her life, and that if she died it would die with her. Now she thought it could be on the DVD. She admitted she had been a patient at Saint Ann's, and explained the plot to act like Tess to trap Jared. As they got up to leave, another cop brought over the smashed DVD.
Disappointed, Jessica got a drink and then joined Natalie. Natalie left her alone with Allison. She told her she hadn't won. In the hall, Nash told Natalie that Jess managed to cover for them with Antonio.
Cristian and Sarah continued having sex all over the apartment. After, they agreed they had no regrets about what they'd done. Next, they walked across the apartment naked to get a snack from the fridge. After they grabbed a cake, they heard keys in the front door. They barely had time to hide before Layla and Vincent walked in. Layla and Vincent sat down on the couch and talked about Sarah and Cristian's relationship. While they weren't looking, Cristian grabbed a roll of paper towels. Finally Layla and Vincent headed off to bed, and Cris and Sarah, clad in paper towels, tried to sneak back to Sarah's room. They weren't fast enough, though — Vincent came back out and caught them. His laughter brought out Layla, who was not happy. Cristian and Sarah made up an excuse of a spill in Sarah's room and made a run for it. Layla freaked when she saw the cake mess on the floor. She started cleaning it up, but Vincent suggested they leave it for the culprits.
Antonio met with Ramsey, who had asked him to update him on the Perkins case. He made it clear working for him would be different than working for Bo.
Friday
Matthew read about Bo's firing in the newspaper. Bo came by to explain. Nora
broke that news to Cole that Lee Ramsey was the new commissioner. Cole
remembered that Ramsey knew he shot Miles. Clint asked Bo to join Buchanan
Enterprises. Jared thought he would be a great addition. Bo needed some time
to think and left for some air. Matthew wanted to go after him. Clint
pointed out that Bo might worry that Matthew would no longer be proud of
him. Matthew assured Nora and Clint that it didn't matter what Bo did. Clint
kissed Nora but then the phone rang; he got a cryptic phone call from one
of Asa's many enemies.
The Cramer women reviewed the events at the ball. Starr reviewed her surprise party. Jack was grumpy that it was only "the girls" at breakfast. Langston got a secretive call from Cole. Todd finally came home and did his best to calm Starr down about her concerns over Ramsey being the new head of police. Langston and Cole met up at a chapel.
Todd confronted Ramsey with the bullet he had found in his bed. Ramsey denied it. Todd warned Ramsey not to come near his family. Ramsey pointed out that Todd enjoys threatening people and refused to promise to stay away from the Mannings. "Your days are numbered," Todd said, but he was uncharacteristically subdued when he left Ramsey's office. Ramsey was
walking around the station when he started to take down a photo of a cop who had died on Sept. 11. Bo walked in and asked him if he still wanted "his
arm."
At Viki's, Shane was quite impressed with Charlie's heroics and had lots of
questions for him. Rex was amused by Shane and began to ask more questions. Gigi dropped the bomb that they might stay in Llanview. Viki invited them to live at Llanfair. Shane begged his mom to stay at Viki's because she has cable television. Rex noticed the similarities between himself and Shane — intense with the tendency to beg. "You're a cool kid," Rex praised. Rex pocketed Charlie's fork (perhaps for DNA testing?). Adriana didn't like being ignored by Rex at the breakfast table. She resented Rex's focus on Shane. Adriana said she was invited to go to Paris for two weeks and wanted Rex to come with her. He didn't think it was such a great time to leave town. "I just met my dad," he reminded her, and then looked over at Gigi and Shane. Adriana said she didn't want to go to Paris without him. "Oh, I get it," he said with a smile. "You don't trust me."
Charlie was grateful to Viki for arranging the father-son breakfast. Natalie walked in on Viki and Charlie kissing. Jared showed up at the door, much to Natalie's surprise. He told Natalie he was feeling a bit sore after his topple off the balcony. Jared said
he came to thank Charlie and check up on him. He asked Charlie if the fact that their photos were side by side in the newspaper might "blow their cover." Viki pointed out that as Charlie saved Jared's life, they'd have a bond forever. Charlie and Viki hugged and Charlie had that "Can I tell any
more lies?" look on his face.
