One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of January 28, 2008

Monday

Blair insisted that Todd move out now that he has his son back. "We're not going anywhere," Todd argued. "I need you. You're my wife." When Blair reminded him that she was his wife in name only, he suggested that they have a real marriage. He regretted not telling her how he felt sooner, but Blair seemed pretty doubtful of his sincerity. He swore that he loves her and always has. She still wasn't convinced, so he went on about how sexy she is and how he wants to yank her by the hair when she's singing at Capricorn and haul her back to his cave, er, penthouse. Just because they love each other doesn't mean they can make things work, Blair pointed out. Todd requested that she ask herself what she really wants, and she admitted that she wants him. Nevertheless, she was afraid that they wouldn't be able to make it work. Todd inched closer to her and planted a kiss on her neck, which she quickly responded to. "Shouldn't we check on Sam?" she asked as they began to devour each other. Nah, that would just get in the way of their afternoon delight.

Corrine told a shocked Rex that he should really talk to Roxy about who his real father is. Rex continued to demand the truth, so she explained that she learned via a series of letters from Walter that he and Roxy were fighting at the time of Rex's conception and that Roxy was quite "popular." Rex asked to see the letters, but Corrine said she threw them away. She wouldn't say anything else, so Rex decided to confront Roxy.

At Foxy Roxy's, Addie told Miles that she never forgets a face. Miles explained that he has a new face, so there's no way she'd know him. "I have a new personality," she told him before she was called to the beauty chair. Dorian warned Miles to stay away from her sister. While Roxy worked on Addie's hair, Addie insisted to Miles that she knew him from somewhere. Miles said he grew up in a hospital, but not St. Ann's. Meanwhile, Charlie insisted on going to BE to ask Jared for another chance. Addie asked Roxy if Rex's father had remarried, and Roxy informed her that Walter is dead.

Jared explained to Natalie that Jessica going to the sanitarium was really her own doing since she signed a document stating that if she ever reverted to Tess, she would go to St. Ann's. Natalie knew about the document, and clarified that it is for Bree's protection. Natalie stormed out after learning that Jared tricked Jessica. Jared was furious to find Charlie walking in shortly after. Charlie said he wanted to apologize for missing their lunch and explained that he was somewhere with no cell service. Jared didn't believe him and wanted him out, but Charlie wasn't going anywhere. As Jared was about to dial security, Charlie leaned over and spotted a photo of Natalie, Jessica and Viki on the desk. Meanwhile, Rex showed up at Roxy's and informed her that he'd just learned something very interesting from Corrine. He asked what happened when Roxy and Walter were fighting; she explained that they were always arguing. Miles and Addie exchanged their respective "to-do" lists, and Miles asked what happened to Blair's father, but Dorian interrupted to say that they would never talk about him again. Roxy was saved by the bell with Rex when it was time for her to wash Addie's hair, so Rex left unsatisfied.

At St. Ann's, Allison Perkins taunted Jessica with a secret. "I've got a secret and I'm not telling," she kept singing, which quickly infuriated Jessica. Viki arrived and was stunned to see Allison in Jessica's room. "Hi, Ben," Allison waved at Viki's heart. When Allison lunged at Viki, the orderlies had to haul her off. Nash walked in to witness the tail end of it. Nash and Viki explained to Jess that the papers she drew up stated she had to stay for 48 hours for observation or sign a paper revoking the previous document. Jessica didn't want to invalidate the other document, but Nash and Viki seemed wary of Jessica's reasoning that it should stay in place for Bree's protection. Nash didn't want Jessica trapped in that place with loony Allison any less than Viki did. Jessica promised that she'd be okay but didn't resopnd to his request to steer clear of Allison. While on her way to a doctor's visit, Jess ran into Allison, who hinted that her secret was about Jessica and her "precious family." Over at BE, Viki narrowly missed seeing Charlie. Right after Viki and Natalie walked out of the building together, Jared slammed the door in Charlie's face and said he'd have to find another to "get her in bed," presumably referring to Viki.

Tuesday

Todd and Blair woke up happy the morning after their reconciliation. Todd
asked for just another half hour in bed before going to check on Sam, but
they were interrupted by Addie dressed as a karate master bearing breakfast.
Todd was shocked by Addie's new persona. She apologized for not coming by
earlier to see Todd for a "heart-to-heart talk" but said she's just been so
busy. But now that she has his ear, she insisted that they work on their
mother-in-law/son bond. Blair got a kick out of that, so she left the two of
them to catch up. Once Todd was dressed, Addie pulled some karate moves on
Todd and pinned him to the door, threatening bodily harm if he does anything
to hurt her daughter. She let him out of her grip, and he insisted that
Blair is the most important thing in his life and that he loves her, Starr
and Jack more than anything.

Starr wanted to make plans to spend the day with Cole, but he lied that he
was working on a report for school. Another call came in and it was Langston
on the other line asking if they were still on for the day, just as long as
Starr doesn't find out. "Don't worry, Starr doesn't have a clue," he told
Langston. Cole then fibbed to Starr that it was Markko on the other line and
he had to go. Langston was on her way out when Starr asked who she was just
on the phone with. When Langston answered "Markko," Starr asked what was
going on. Langston lied that she had to spend the day helping Dorian plan
Adriana's wedding and was mysteriously out the door before Starr could ask
what she was doing later. Blair came downstairs all aglow in a pink robe,
prompting Starr to put two and two together. Blair admitted that was once a
marriage in name only is now something else entirely. Starr was happy for
her parents but acknowledged that they've all been down this road before.
Blair assured Starr that she was truly happy with her decision and Starr
apologized for giving her mom a hard time. When Blair mentioned that Dorian
had to go on an emergency photo shoot in New York, Starr's wheels started
spinning. She picked up the phone and dialed Markko but got his voicemail.
Meanwhile, Blair went to check on Addie and Todd and was surprised to find
that they were successful at "bonding."

At the diner, Rex told Natalie that Corrine suggested that Walter might not
have been his father. "Do you really want to be the son of a brainwashed
baby-snatcher?" she asked, but Rex said this is no laughing matter and
requested her help in finding his real father. Meanwhile, Langston met Cole
at a nearby table and mentioned that Starr doesn't at all suspect that
they're planning a surprise birthday party for her. Rex presented them with
the estimate for using Ultra Violet for the party, and Cole and Langston
balked at the figure. He suggested that they rent the basement of St.
Bartholomew's if they want Sister Mary Margaret to rap for them, then
resumed his conversation with Natalie. He said he was sure Roxy was hiding
something and he was going to find it.

John brought Gigi and Shane to his place in Angel Square and offered to
sleep on the couch so that they would have a bed. Gigi insisted that they
camp out in the living room, pointing out that this situation is temporary
until they "take care of" Ramsey. John reminded her that they need to take
care of Marcie, too, and explained to Shane that Gigi agreed to testify at
Marcie's hearing. John headed out to confront Todd and instructed Gigi to
lock the door.

At the Llanview PD, Michael met up with Marcie, who was recently transferred
from Texas, and told her that everything would be fine. Antonio's new
partner wanted to keep the handcuffs on Marcie, but Antonio explained to
Oliver that Marcie is a good woman and won't try anything dangerous.
Meanwhile, Nora showed Bo the cover of The Sun tattling the previous night's
food fight. Bo asked if Nora planned to keep up her "nonsense" with Clint.
Antonio interrupted and asked Bo if he wants to talk to Marcie before she's
booked. Nora threw down the paper and followed Bo to see Marcie, who seemed
pretty resigned to spending the rest of her life in prison. Michael urged
Marcie not to give up hope and asked Nora to back him up that she would be
exonerated, but Nora didn't seem so positive. Once alone with Marcie,
Michael told Marcie that he wants her to fight and reminded her that she
hasn't lost him, but she turned and went to her jail cell.

Langston and Cole lamented the expensive price Rex gave them for the party,
but Langston came up with a plan to get Dorian and Adriana to talk to Rex.
They high-fived at the idea just as Starr walked in and saw them giggling.
Meanwhile, Rex was snooping around Roxy's desk when Gigi walked into the
lobby. They were both equally shocked to see each other. At La Boulaie, John
walked into the kitchen and announced to Todd that he's ready to make a
deal.

Back in Bo's office, Nora told her ex that she would continue to date Clint
and that it wasn't "nonsense." She wanted to talk about the tension between
her and Bo, but he said he didn't care who she dates. Nora asked just why
she was covered in red wine at the Palace the night before if Bo didn't care
who she dated. Bo recalled that it was she and Clint who invited Bo and
Lindsay to join them and pointed out that Nora just wanted to make snide
remarks to Lindsay. This isn't about Lindsay or Clint or a food flight, it's
about them, Nora pointed out.

Wednesday

Todd accused John of “breaking-and entering” when he waltzed into Dorian's kitchen and asked what he could possibly have to offer Todd. “Your freedom,” John cryptically stated, then helped himself to a cup of coffee. Todd wasn’t interested in what John was selling, so John presented him with an envelope containing incriminating photos of Gigi with Todd and Ramsey and the gun that ended up in Marcie's hands. John suggested to a skeptical Todd that he call a press conference and state that he wants to drop the charges against her.

Blair ran into Starr and asked why she was so upset. Starr explained that Langston and Cole lied to her and she saw them hanging out at the diner. Blair advised her daughter to give Cole time to figure things out and be able to open up to her. Back at the diner, Cole and Langston continued to plan the party and started to talk music. Langston offered to help Cole improve his dance moves. While joking about his future as a Broadway dancer, Cole made a comment about his mom in the present tense and his mood abruptly changed. Meanwhile, Clint and Lindsay had an awkward run-in at the counter. Lindsay asked why he and Nora, the "unlikely couple," were dating. "It just feels right," he told her. Lindsay said she wished Nora would just let Lindsay live her life, and Clint wondered if she was talking about Nora’s pursuit to prove that Lindsay faked her breakdown. Lindsay balked at his assertion and walked out.

While Gigi was talking to Rex in the hotel lobby, a black-gloved figure tried to get into John's apartment, where Shane was alone. Rex wanted to know what Gigi was doing at the hotel, but she said she didn't owe him anything. He didn't understand why she was still so upset with him for dumping her in high school and suggested that she was in love with him. Gigi said there was no way and cracked that it was too hard to compete with Rex's love for himself. Meanwhile, Shane ran off to a hiding place when he heard someone coming. Roxy found him in the bathroom wielding a billy-club and asked what he was doing there. Shane explained that he was staying there with John, prompting Roxy to wonder if John is Shane’s "long-lost daddy." Shane said his father was a Navy Seal who died in the line of duty. Roxy was impressed with Shane's moxie. Downstairs, Rex asked Gigi where she was staying, and she responded that "we" are at John's. "We who?" Rex asked, but Gigi lied that she meant to say 'I'. Gigi was saved by the bell when John returned and chastised her for leaving the apartment. Meanwhile, Ramsey was still lurking around upstairs.

Nora told Bo that she wasn't content to be hated by someone who once meant the world to her. Nora asked why Bo brought up her infidelity at their food fight, and Bo said he regretting mentioning it. She asserted that Bo wanted to hurt her because she's dating his brother, but he insisted that wasn’t the case. Nora suggested that when Bo looks at her, he still sees her and Sam, and he that he can't shake that memory. Nora wanted him to understand her side of the story and pointed out that Bo had forgiven so many people, especially Lindsay, for doing horrible things and wondered why he couldn’t forgive her for one mistake. "Why didn’t you fight for our marriage?" she demanded. "I didn't think that I had any fight left in me," he stated, which clearly hurt Nora. That said, he explained that they have a good friendship now and they take good care of their son and he doesn’t want to fight her. Nora noted that they still hadn’t dealt with the issue of her dating Clint. He acknowledged that they’re both good people and he truly wishes them happiness, but that he’d like to discuss it with Matthew together. Nora was about to tell Bo something else when Lindsay walked in with breakfast for Bo. Privately, Nora assured herself that she made the right decision.

Alone in the hotel lobby, Rex rummaged through some things at the front desk and accidentally knocked over Roxy's stuffed bird, Morris. The head rolled right off, revealing something hidden inside, just as Roxy returned. "Morris!" she called out. Meanwhile, John instructed Shane not to talk to strangers, even Roxy, and Ramsey showed up at Todd's to inform him that they've got a problem.

Thursday

Talia was surprised to find that the driver she'd just pulled over was Antonio, who wanted to make a date with her when she got off at 10. As it turned out, she was covering the following shift for a sick colleague. To make the most of their time together, she asked him to step out of the car and perform a sobriety test, then checked out his butt with a flashlight as he walked a straight line for her. "I'm under the influence ... of you," he said before pulling her into a kiss. Antonio then goaded her into arresting him so that they could spend more time together and even insisted on a frisk.

At La Boulaie, Blair was having a hard time calming down a tearful Sam. Downstairs, Dorian asked Charlie how his meeting with Jared went, and Charlie said he agreed to walk away and let Jared live the life he wants. Dorian offered to help mend fences with Jared. Blair came in with Sam and wanted to give him a cookie, but Dorian advised against giving a hungry child sugar. Charlie was more than happy to pick up Sam and play with him while the ladies argued about Todd. Meanwhile, Todd and Ramsey were in the foyer discussing the threat John made against Todd. Ramsey wondered whether John didn't have some other plan in mind that involves putting Todd in jail once Marcie's free, so he suggested they "silence" Gigi. Blair walked in and asked what was going on, scolding Todd for associating with a man who pulled a gun on their son. Ramsey assured Blair that he is an expert marksman. In the kitchen, Dorian continued to insist on helping Charlie with Jared, and admitted that she knows Charlie is a recovering alcoholic. Charlie said he'd do fine by himself and thanked her with a hug.

Rex and Roxy were arguing over the envelope he found inside Morris when Michael showed up yapping about Tommy and how the Mannnings probably can't make oatmeal properly. He clearly wasn't far off, as Sam continued to scream at Blair, who sweetly tried to explain how much her family loves him. Michael went to clean up Tommy's things, and Rex resumed to bugging Roxy about that envelope. He threatened to not let her be mother of the groom or style Adriana's hair at the wedding if she didn't come clean. He pleaded to tell him who his real father is. She hestitated before saying, "Charlie Balsom." Roxy then explained that he was a distant cousin of Walter and that Charlie showed up "drunk as a skunk" on their doorstep one time and one thing led to another. Rex thought back to what had happened the other day when Charlie saved his life and began to warm up to the idea of Charlie being his dad. He wanted to go talk to Charlie, but Roxy asked him to please keep her story a secret. He privately agreed to keep quiet, while Roxy headed over to La Boulaie and told a clueless Charlie that they had a "life and death" matter to discuss.

Shane promised Gigi and John that he wouldn't leave John's place again and overheard them talking about Ramsey. John tried to ease Shane's anxiety about Ramsey with cheeseburgers and pizza. Once alone with Gigi, John asked that she let him know if Rex or anyone else gives her trouble. Gigi revealed that she and Rex went to high school together and dated, but that things never really ended. When Gigi was out of the room, Michael came by with the food delivery and asked who it was all for. John said his new guests, who might just be the trick to getting Marcie out of jail. Shane found a dart board with Todd's face on it and asked where it came from. John replied that a woman made it for him, prompting Shane to ask if he was talking about a girlfriend. Gigi told Shane to get ready for bed, then asked John what happened to this woman. "She got killed," he admitted.

Friday

Preoccupied with Roxy's claim, Rex headed to the PD to speak with Bo. Before he could blab anything about his new discovery, Adriana arrived. Rex had to step out and take care of something at Ultra Violet, so Bo and Adriana had a little heart-to-heart during which Bo promised he would look out for Rex no matter what. He wished Adriana well with her wedding planning and said he was sorry to hear that the ring didn't work out. Adriana explained that it actually came from Gigi, Rex's ex-girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Roxy paid Charlie a visit and announced that her son needs a daddy, and he's it. Charlie was confused, so Roxy said she already informed Rex that Charlie is his dad and that no one is to know who the real dad is. She begged him to play her charade so that she could hold onto her son. She even offered him money, but he still had reservations. She told him a little bit more about Rex, giving Charlie some food for thought. Nevertheless, he didn't agree to her plan one way or another.

At the Buchanan manse, Nora and Clint informed Jared that he was evicted for having Jessica wrongfully committed. Dorian waltzed right in as they were arguing and said she was there to see Jared because Craze wanted to do a piece on him. Clint said this was a really bad time as they are about to kick Jared to the curb, just as Renee walked in and reminded them that she has a say, too. Clint explained that Jared had Jessica sent to St. Ann's, but Renee was quick to point fingers at Jessica."If he goes, so do I," she declared, prompting a few snide remarks from Dorian. Renee insisted to Nora that she isn't bluffing and will go live at the Palace if they're kicking Jared out. After her impassioned speech about how much Jared helped her with her grief, Clint and Nora reluctantly agreed to let Jared stay. Nora warned Jared that she'll make his stay there very uncomfortable. Once alone with Jared, Dorian admitted that she wasn't there about some article."Does the name Charlie sound familiar?" she teased, piquing Jared's interest. Dorian confessed that their botched lunch meeting was all her doing, but that she was there now to plead with Jared on Charlie's behalf. When he declined to give his dad a second chance, she threatened to tell everyone who Jared really is.

Over at Llanfair, Nash and Viki lamented Jessica's absence as Natalie fed Bree. Miles popped in as they were talking about why someone would want to stay at St. Ann's. They began to fill him in on Jess's situation when Addie walked in wearing a chef's hat and apron. She proceeded to tell them all about living at La Boulaie and their new handsome houseguest, Charlie. When Addie mentioned that she'd been in bed with Charlie, Viki changed the subject and asked how Sam was doing. Nash later mentioned that Jessica was still doing time at St. Ann's, but Addie reassured him that she's in good hands there.

At St. Ann's, Jessica bugged Allison to reveal her secret. "What's in it for me, Tess?" Allison sneered. Jessica tried to sway her with promises of care packages every day after Jessica is released, so Allison leaned over and whispered that her secret is about Natalie but wouldn't give her much more."It's the biggest secret to hit your family in, well, at least two months," Allison shared. She then revealed that it's a secret involving Mitch. Meanwhile, Nash was explaining to Miles that Jessica considers Clint, and not the evil Mitch, her dad in every way.

John caught Gigi up on his history with Marty, and Gigi remarked that she can't imagine what it's like to love someone who was killed. "What about Dad?" Shane asked. Gigi told him it wasn't polite to eavesdrop, then privately noted to John that she doesn't want Rex to know about her son. He agreed to keep mum. John went to call Cole, and Gigi heard a knock at the door. It was a woman's voice asking for him. When she opened the door, the female on the side asked, "Gigi Morasco? I'm Adriana Cramer." Gigi opened the door just as Shane called out,"Mom?" and Adriana was shocked to see a little boy standing next to Gigi."This is my son," Gigi announced.

Rex arrived at the front door of La Boulaie but couldn't summon the courage to knock as he recalled Roxy asking him to keep her secret. Meanwhile, Charlie was pacing back and forth and flashed back to Jared yelling that his stepdad beat him and his mom up when Charlie was gone. The doorbell rang, and Charlie opened it to find an incredulous Viki on the other side. Rex headed back to the PD and told Bo that he needs advice about his father.
