One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of January 3, 2011

Monday

There was lots of kissing at the strike of twelve between Blair and Cris and Rex and Gigi, but Kelly and Joey kept their distance. Blair and Cris eventually separated and Cris reminded her that he was supposed to be planning his wedding.

Aubrey welcomed a strange (and very handsome) man to her hotel room and started to kiss him passionately. At the bar, Joey insisted to Kelly that Aubrey would never kiss another guy, and hoped Kelly would get to know Aubrey better. Aubrey pushed away the mystery man warning, "You could ruin everything." Later, Aubrey answered the door and greeted Joey as the mystery man hid behind a chair. When Joey went into the bedroom, Aubrey rushed the man out.

Marty interrupted John and Natalie's wedding seconds before they were to be pronounced man and wife to announce she had something to tell Jessica. Brody escorted Marty out of the room and warned her he'd make sure she lost her job if she blabbed. John wanted to finish the wedding but the judge said he couldn't without all the witnesses. Before Marty could deliver her message, Jessica got cramps, so she, Brody, John and Jessica headed to the hospital.

Kelly interrupted Rex and Gigi's date to insist that they break into Aubrey's room — there was something in a magazine that Aubrey was desperate hide. "I'm off duty," Rex shrugged. Joey joined the conversation and they covered with a tale about Snoop Dogg teaching Rex a dance. Later, Rex checked out the magazine's website. A friend of the mystery man's had hacked into the site and taken down any incriminating photos, to Aubrey's relief.

Jack told Sam that he was going to open up Eli's mystery box. Sam and Jack were heading up to find some explosives when they ran into Blair and Cris. Cris called Layla's room in France and a man answered. Cris argued with Layla on the phone as Blair tripped on the mystery box. Cris hung up and announced, "Layla is cheating on me." If she did she's stupid, because Cris is the greatest, said Blair, then said Cris could stay at her place; he carried Blair upstairs.

Tuesday

A delirious David began digging his way out of his cell with a spoon. One of the guards called the Clint but Bo picked up. "Pa?" David said anxiously. Clint grabbed the phone and made up a story about doing business with Morocco. When the guard informed Clint that David had tried to escape, Clint promised to take care of it.

Viki paid Dorian a visit and admitted that she was desperate to get Echo out of her life. Viki thanked Dorian for helping her and wondered if Dorian missed David. Dorian said there wasn't going to be a happily ever after for her and David, and grew sad when one of David's commercials came on.

Nora lay sadly on her couch remembering her wedding dance with Bo. Matthew came in complaining of bad dreams, adding he wished he hadn't told Nora about Bo and Inez. Nora wondered how Matthew knew that something was happening between Bo and Inez. "I saw them," he admitted. Nora was horrified.

Bo thanked Clint for letting him bunk there. "My life turned from perfect to horrible all in one night," Bo moaned. Clint dissuaded Bo from going to Nora. "You are a good man, Clint, and I will never forget that," a clueless Bo said gratefully. Clint prepared to head to Morocco to handle the David situation. Bo phoned Nora, who ignored the call.

Rex and Gigi enjoyed munching on cold pizza after making love. Rex flipped out when he saw David's commercial on TV. In a dream, David chewed Rex out for leaving him in a cell and not telling Bo where he was. In the dream, Rex tried to explain to David why he kept Clint's actions a secret. David called Rex a shallow selfish person. Rex woke up pointing at the blank TV screen.

Brody and John brought Jessica to the ER, where after a short delay she met with her doctor, who was a little concerned. "Nothing is messing this up — not for any of us," John declared, then wondered where Natalie was. In fact, Natalie was letting Marty have it for interrupting her wedding. Marty clarified that she hadn't promised she wouldn't tell Jessica that Brady was the baby's father. "My conscience is clear," Marty said calmly. Natalie begged Marty to let her tell John the truth. The women began to fight and Marty crashed into a wall and fell to the floor. Natalie worried that Marty was dead.

Wednesday

Blair and Cris were shocked to wake up next to each other, naked. Blair wondered if they had had sex. Both were relieved to recall they hadn’t, and agreed they had to figure out their love lives. Blair told Cris she wasn’t ready for love ...but she did want to open Elijah’s box.

Rex had a nightmare that showed David in the electric chair and wanted to tell Bo the truth about David and Clint.

David begged guard Kahlid to let him use the phone in exchange for an autographed photo of himself. Clint entered the cell and David insisted that Dorian would never give up on him. Rex had known for a while where David was, Clint said, yet hasn’t told Bo a thing. David suspected Clint was threatening Rex. Upon hearing about Bo’s marriage problems, David offered to stop trying to reunite with Dorian if Clint would left Bo and Nora alone.

Starr listened as Langston urged Dorian to love someone new in 2011. Dorian offered Starr and Langston some advice: move on, and drop Ford. Dorian knocked on Blair’s door with Elijah’s box in her hand. Cris hid under the covers while Dorian declared she was on the top of the world. Then she wondered what was under the covers.....

Ford wondered how Nate would beat the murder rap. James reminded him that Nate has a great lawyer — Tea. James and Starr remembered their kiss, but Starr insisted she is still waiting for Cole.

Langston and Ford entered Ford’s apartment practically tearing off each other’s clothes. Though they didn’t have sex, Langston cut their waiting time in half, saying they could make love on Valentine’s Day.

Bo spotted Nora in Angel Square. She told him she wasn’t giving up on their marriage and headed to the courtroom. Rex suggested perhaps Bo hadn’t done anything with Inez after all, but Bo didn’t think Inez would lie. Reminded that Stacy had drugged Rex, Bo wished that was the case in his situation.

In the courtroom, Nora slapped Inez before talking about Nate’s case. Nora accused Inez of being behind Eddie’s kidnapping, something Inez quickly denied. Nora ordered Inez out of the courtroom since it was a closed arraignment. The judge asked Nate how he pleads; Tea said Nate wouldn’t be making a plea because she knows who the murderer really is.

Kahlid changed his mind and let David use the phone in exchange for an autographed photo. Dorian was startled to hear David’s voice on the phone. Her doorbell rang; Starr opened the door and found James standing there.

Thursday

With Cris's support, Blair broke into the box that Eli had left her and found a rolled up piece of paper. It was a portrait of Blair, which she said she'd never sat for. Even more confusing, it was painted in 2003, before Blair knew Eli.

David and Dorian made contact via the telephone. David insisted he'd never stopped loving her and tried to explain that he was in jail, but Dorian didn't listen and hung up.

James wanted to talk to Starr about New Year's Eve, and apologized for kissing her. "It's something we both wanted," Starr admitted. She was stunned when James said he wished he'd met Starr before she'd fallen for Cole... and out of respect for that relationship he was going to see other people. After James left, Starr confided to Dorian that she'd planned on telling James she would date him, but agreed she should wait for Cole. Meanwhile, James ran into Michelle from class, and she invited him to join her for a hot chocolate.

Inez and Bo had an awkward conversation in Angel Square. Bo asked her if they had actually had sex, explaining about his friend who had been drugged to have sex. Inez hurried back to the courthouse, saying said she'd do anything for her children.

Brody told John that he hadn't seen Natalie; John had heard from Natalie but couldn't get her back on the phone. Brody felt bad that John's wedding had been cut short. John wondered what Marty had been so desperate to talk to Jessica about. Natalie called John asking for the update on Jessica, and claimed she was wiped out. They agreed to do a rain check on the wedding. John wanted to head over to Llanfair but Natalie said she'd meet him at the hospital.

TéA announced to the courtroom that Todd was the killer. "I have proof," TéA said, displaying the cufflink. Dani asked her mother what she was doing. There was no evidence linking Nate to the crime scene, TéA explained. Todd thought he was being set up by Marty; TéA's just wanted to prove to the judge that any number of people could have killed Eddie.

In a cabin, Natalie stood above Marty holding a shotgun and took aim. "It will end today," she screamed. Natalie wasn't going to kill Marty, but decided to tell John the truth. "I'm ready to do it," Natalie said, taking a deep breath. Marty didn't think John would keep a secret about another man's baby. "Hopefully he won't want to hurt Brody, especially Jessica," Natalie worried, promising to let Marty go once she told John the truth. But as Natalie headed out the door, she cried out in pain and doubled over.

Inez showed up in court. Dani explained that court was in recess. Todd told his wife what she did was brilliant. "But you did throw me under the bus," he grinned.

Friday

Echo presented Dorian for a bill for thousands of dollars for all the
damages (including her hair disaster) that she suffered after being locked up on the roof on Christmas Eve. Dorian was miffed and maintained she didn't do such a thing. Echo surmised that Dorian and Viki are in cahoots. The women continued to face off; Echo tried to blackmail Dorian with regard to Charlie and demanded that she write the check. After, Dorian called the bank and had the check canceled, livid that she'd been played. She
decided to head to an AA meeting.

At the hospital, Jessica was freaking out when the doctor informed her that her baby is in distress because of a condition involving her placenta and recommended that Jess have a Caesarian birth. Jess was upset, adding that she'd planned for a natural birth and that the baby isn't even ready to be born yet because its lungs aren't developed. Jess refused to have the baby early. Vivian told her that she and the child are at incredibly high risk if she doesn't deliver the baby now. Clint was angry when he found out that Jess's condition was caused from scar tissue from an old gunshot wound in her abdomen. He lunged at Charlie, who’d shot Jedd. Viki tried to talk Clint down, pointing out that Dorian forced Charlie to do it. Charlie felt overwhelmed with guilt and rushed off. Viki demanded Clint apologize. Brody tried to talk Jess into having the C-section, to no avail. Brody appealed to Viki to talk some sense into her daughter. Viki urged Jess to do it for Bree and her future with Brody.

At the Buchanan lodge, Natalie started having contractions of her own as she continued to fight with Marty, who broke the news to Nat that she's officially in labor and needs to get to the hospital. Nat's water broke and she panicked. She asked Marty for help and to drive her to the hospital. Marty laughed and noted how the tables have turned, while holding the shotgun Nat had once trained on her. She showed Nat, who was in severe pain, no mercy. She even smashed Nat's cell phone. "I'm evening the score!" she spat, then told Nat to take off her coat as she pointed the gun at her. Nat begged for help; Marty continued to be unsympathetic.

Bo informed John that he's got a hunch that he was drugged on the night he slept with Inez. John wondered if it could be part of the criminal investigation, pointing out that the timing seemed quite convenient because it was the same night Eddie was murdered. John also noted that Inez had motive to kill Eddie and drugging Bo would give her plenty of time to do the deed while he was passed out.

At the courthouse, Dani tried to assure Inez and Nate that Téa is really trying to help Nate by pointing out that there could be other suspects that haven't been considered yet. Inez was hopeful that the judge would understand. Meanwhile, Téa told Todd she thinks Nate's just covering for Inez; he wondered what kind of mother would let their son rot in jail. He also worried about what his daughters would think of him if Nate actually goes to prison and asked Téa to make sure that Inez is the one who goes down. Dani
overheard her parents discussing being suspicious of Inez. Later, the judge dismissed Nate's hearing, citing Téa's claim that there are more suspects that need to be investigated. Nate, however, interrupted the court proceedings to confess that he's guilty of killing Eddie. Dani was confused and very upset; Inez rushed out of the courthouse. Bo arrived and was stunned by the news. He tried to talk to Nora, to no avail.

Echo found a very upset Charlie at an AA meeting. Echo pulled out a bottle of vodka, saying Dorian got her so worked up that she bought it and almost took a drink. He told her to toss it and go to a meeting. Charlie was preoccupied with Jessica and his guilt over accidentally shooting her. They hugged just as a disguised Dorian arrived. Later, Charlie pulled the bottle out of the trash when no one was looking.

Marty took Nat's boots and coat, then wished Nat good luck and left her at the cabin while she was in the middle of labor.
