One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of January 4, 2010

Monday

Brody asked Charlie about his drinking. Charlie wished he had killed Mitch. Brody told Charlie that he and Jessica can't keep covering for him. Brody reminded him that the AA meetings had helped him. Brody also suggested he talk to Viki. Charlie refused. Brody begged Charlie to talk to him and offered to keep him company. "You are not my son," Charlie yelled. "Stay away from Mitch Laurence," Brody warned him as he took a call from work.

Dorian saw the juicy headline on the newspaper. Mitch called her from his hospital bed. "You got to ruin Bo's life and humiliate Nora," he said with a smile. Mitch didn't think he was done with Bo, yet. Mitch said that Bo had to stay fired. Mitch told her that there was a package on its way to her. "It's damming evidence against Bo Buchanan. Use it," he said. John entered Mitch's hospital room. John realized that Dorian was on the other end of the phone. Dorian had to cover as to why she was talking to him. She asked John to find out how Mitch got a phone. "You and the Mayor, huh?" John said. John told Mitch he'd soon be returning to a jail cell.

Viki showed up in Dorian's living room. "Why is Mitch Laurence calling you?" Viki asked when she added that Dorian shouldn't have fired Bo. Viki wondered if Mitch had threatened Dorian's family. Dorian claimed that she was protecting everyone in Llanview and hinted that there was a conflict of interest with Bo and Nora. Viki laughed at that explanation. "It is not going to work," Viki told her nemesis.

Dorian's assistant told her that the media wants to talk to her about the Bo firing. He left an envelope on her desk addressed to Madame Mayor. The envelope was filled with evidence that would incriminate Bo even more.

Bo told Rex that his attorneys told him he should stay put. Rex offered his PI skills. "Give me some good news. How are you and Gigi?" Bo asked. "Next question," Rex replied. Rex told Bo that Gigi had moved out. "I win when Gigi comes home," Rex said.

Nora was confronted by Clint's daughters in the police station. Nora confirmed that she had split up with Clint. Jessica and Natalie were not pleased. They peppered her with questions about whether she had ever loved Clint. Nora rushed off to deal with some Mitch paperwork. Nora told the sisters that they were closing the Mitch stabbing case. Mitch was brought into the police station and ran into Bo, Nora, Rex, Natalie and Jessica. Bo urged the cops to take Mitch away. Dorian showed up and told Bo to leave the station. She presented him with a litany of evidence against him including the knife that stabbed Mitch. "A cover up," she said.

Gigi and Schuyler woke up together. Schuyler was so happy that she was still there. Gigi started breakfast. Schuyler opened the door to get firewood and saw Shane standing there. "Are you dumping dad for Schuyler?" Shane asked a stunned Gigi. Schuyler apologized. "You busted up my whole family," Shane said to Schuyler. Shane called Schuyler Gigi's boyfriend and took her keys to the car. Gigi promised she'd come back after she took Shane where he needed to be. Schuyler asked Gigi what she wanted. "I don't want to assume anything about last night," Schuyler said seriously.

Shane called Rex. Rex knocked on Gigi's door. Schuyler and Gigi stopped kissing.

Oliver and Kyle woke up together and were all smiles. Roxy burst into their room and was delighted to see them together. She told Oliver that Bo had been fired. Oliver was stunned. Roxy predicted that John would get the job. John called Oliver and told him that Bo would be fighting the firing. Oliver headed to the hospital to help move Mitch back to prison. Kyle told Roxy that Nick had moved out. "You are the gay son I never had," Roxy gushed at
Kyle. Kyle wondered how Roxy had a kid "with someone who scares you that much." Roxy said she never fell for that "dirtball. He's satan's wingman." Roxy said it was a mistake that one doesn't get over easily. Kyle wanted to help her. Roxy asked him never to mention Mitch's name or the clinic again.

Viki asked Charlie was was wrong. He took a deep breath. "There is something I need to tell you," he said. He explained that he had visited Mitch in jail and then had gotten drunk. "And I've been drinking ever since," he said sadly. Viki apologized for not paying close enough attention and asked him why he hadn't come to her. Charlie said he had failed. "I lied to you," he said. Charlie said he had been drinking every day since visiting Mitch in jail. "We're going to fight this together," Viki said. Charlie insisted that he can't stop drinking. Charlie wanted to leave but Viki wouldn't allow it. "You are not going anywhere without me," Viki said and she grabbed him in a hug.

Tuesday

Blair told Todd the only thing that could cure him was Téa. Blair assured him that Téa still has feelings for him. Todd pretended not to care and Blair left. Todd crawled back in bed and tried to sleep. Téa showed up in Todd's bedroom and told him that Danielle was feeling better and wasn't going to go gunning for him. She added that she thought Danielle was making progress. Avoiding eye contact, Téa explained to Todd that she had told Dani that Todd was out of her life forever. "I love you and I always will," Téa confessed, adding that she knows Todd will never forgive her. "You are wrong," Todd countered. Todd remembered how Téa had always stuck by him and added that he never stopped loving her. Téa said she was saying goodbye. Todd was flip about Dani's imminent departure and half threatened to make their departure a problem. Téa made it clear it was hard for her to leave and promised that Dani would at some point learn the truth about Ross and Todd. Todd pulled Téa into a passionate kiss.

Blair knocked on Eli's door and he answered the door in a towel. He asked her not to tell anyone that Dani had a gun at Blair's house. Blair didn't want to see Dani punished. Blair wondered if Eli cared about Dani's mom. Blair Téased him about his "date" with Téa. He added that Téa was still hung up on Todd. Eli wondered what women saw in Todd. Blair did her best to explain. "I can't recognize the difference between love and stubborn pride," she said. Eli suggested that he and Blair get together. "Maybe we should," she said as the two began to kiss.

Matthew came by to see Danielle and thanked Téa for helping him. Dani admitted she had tried to kill Todd on New Year's Eve. "I'm a horrible person, right?" Dani said. She stunned Matthew when she said that she had taken the gun from Bo's safe. Matthew admitted that Destiny told him she loved him. Danielle wasn't surprised but Matthew said he now feels like a jerk, quickly adding that he didn't "like like" Dani either. Awkward moment for both kids. Matthew explained how much Destiny had done for him. "I don't know what I would do without you," Matthew told Dani. Dani explained that she and Téa would soon be heading back to Tahiti. Dani and Matthew kissed goodbye.

Brody threw Mitch in a jail cell. Mitch thanked Brody for saving him from the drunken Charlie. Brody blamed Mitch for causing Charlie's relapse. Mitch started talking about Jessica, which really annoyed Brody. Mitch reminded him that his blood saved Shane.

Dorian showed Bo (and everyone else at the precinct) the letter opener that stabbed Mitch Laurence. Natalie grew nervous when the opener was identified as belonging to Jared Banks, with Mitch's blood and John's fingerprints. "John doesn't have to explain anything," Natalie interjected. Bo wondered where Dorian had gotten that. Natalie denied that John had covered up anything. Dorian rushed the forensics report. Bo pulled John into his office. "Was Dorian telling the truth?" Bo asked. John dodged Bo's questions. Jessica asked Natalie if it was true that Mitch hadn't stabbed himself. Dorian came back with proof that John's fingerprints were on the letter opener. Dorian asked for Bo's badge again. "You are making a mistake," John said. Natalie barged in. "I stabbed Mitch Laurence," she announced. Bo and John tried to get her to stop talking. "She's covering for me. I did it," said John. Bo reminded them that he still calls the shots. Bo and Dorian started to argue and he dropped his badge in front of her. Dorian grabbed the badge and wished him the best. Bo returned the letter opener to her as well. "What was that?" Brody asked. Natalie apologized. "I'm the one that Dorian wanted," Bo explained. John hinted that maybe it wasn't Dorian's idea. John thought that Mitch might be holding something over Dorian. John assured Bo that they would find out who was working for Mitch.

Rex figured out that Schuyler and Gigi had had sex last night. Schuyler offered to leave. Rex asked them if they were sleeping together. "Yes or no," he barked. "Yes," she confirmed. Rex was stunned and clearly upset. Rex said that they could work things out if she came back to him. Rex demanded that she make a decision. Gigi's eyes filled up with Téars as she said she had made a choice to be with Schuyler. "I still want to be with him," she added. "I guess my father was right," Rex snapped. "You've been talking to Mitch?" Gigi asked in disgust. "He did tell me I shouldn't be wasting my time with you," Rex added. A deflated Rex left. "Go for it," he said. "You do what you have to do and so will I. Enjoy it while it lasts," he said as he stormed out of the cottage. Schuyler asked Gigi if she meant wanting to be with him. They hugged. Both Gigi and Schuyler felt a little bad for Rex.

Rex placed a call looking for a lawyer to help him sue for custody for Shane.

Dorian visited Mitch in his cell. "I did your dirty work in exchange for my family's safety. It gave me no pleasure asking Bo to turn in his badge," she said. Mitch had another task for Dorian.

Wednesday

Markko and Cole made smoothies for breakfast. Markko was nervous that Ford would be screening his film that day.

Cole and Markko joined Langston and Starr at the diner. Starr said she couldn't be in the school production that year because she has all AP classes and a child. Cole said he'd cover for her. Cole and Starr started smooching. Langston told Markko she likes him just the way he is. Starr wouldn't let Langston write about her life, her baby and her rapist father. She suggested instead that Langston write about her obsession with Ford. Langston dropped the subject and Starr headed home to tend to Hope.

At the gym, Ford was asking Layla about the smoothie bar when Cris made his presence known. Destiny and Shaun worked out to forget Matthew and Rachel. Ford explained to Cris he had been in town that summer working on a reality show for David Vickers. Markko saw hunky Cris and Ford at the gym and felt less than hunky. Ford kept the barbell from injuring Markko, the gave Markko a critique on his movie. Ford was stunned to learn that Markko's film, "The Road to City Hall," was a documentary.

Shaun told Destiny he was proud of her for telling Matthew how she felt, despite the fact that Matthew didn't reciprocate her feelings. They toasted new love in 2010 with wheatgrass juice. Disgusted, they went off to get hot fudge sundaes instead.

Matthew wished he and Dani were kissing hello instead of goodbye. Both admitted that was their first kiss. They agreed they liked kissing and began to kiss again. "Practice made perfect," Dani said as they were about to go into kiss number three. That was interrupted by Tea's return. Matthew took a photo of Dani on his cell phone. "I'll never forget you. Promise," Matthew said.

Tea pulled away from Todd as the two were kissing. Tea say goodbye, or tried to. "Please stay," he asked. Tea tried to leave, but stuck around long enough for a round of lovemaking. Todd wondered how long it would be until they could tell Danielle he was her father. Tea predicted that Todd and Blair would be back together in no time, then promised she would be working to come back to Todd, with Dani. "We can be a family, Todd, if you are still waiting when I come back," she said. "If you come back," he added. "I'll be waiting," he said as Tea left the room. Todd sat on his bed and just stared into the air.

Blair and Eli rolled around on the floor in Eli's hotel room. Renee started knocking on their door to make sure everything was alright. "Oh, my god, what's happened in there?" she asked. Eli lied and said he trashes hotel rooms in his sleep. Renee didn't believe him. "Keep it down. Both of you," she barked. Blair and Eli started laughing and had sex again. They agreed to just have sex, not a relationship. Eli gave her his card and Blair was tempted to take it.

Thursday

Dorian got ready to announce the new police commissioner. Dorian wanted to tell her girls the news first, but her assistant didn't know if that would be possible. "This is not the way I wanted it to be," she fretted. After Dorian was introduced to the press, she introduced Blair, Addie and Starr. Then Stanley Lowell entered the room. "I'm ready to serve," he told a shocked room. "Is this a joke?" Starr said. Lowell explained how all the charges were erased, as he had been working undercover. The Cramer women went after him. Starr reminded him that he had tried to kill Cole. "I think I'm going to be sick," Dorian moaned. The Cramer girls asked Dorian if she had lost her mind. Langston came home and was equally shocked. "Hiring Stanley Lowell is going to keep each and every one of you safe," Dorian proclaimed. Everyone stormed out of the living room. "Fire Lowell," Langston demanded. Dorian looked at the photo of the Cramer women and tried to explain she was only doing this to keep her girls safe. Blair, Addie and Starr grabbed their suitcases and headed out. They had packed a bag for Langston, too. Dorian started to cry and Mel appeared.

Eli was fresh from his romp with Blair when Rex showed up, hoping Eli would help him get sole custody of his son. Eli took notes as Rex explained that he and Gigi weren't married. Eli leveled with Rex. "The courts usually rule for the mother, unless we can determine that Gigi is unfit," he explained. When Eli compared Rex to Ross, Rex said he didn't think that was true. Suing for custody would destroy Rex's family, insisted Eli.

Stacy called Rex to remind him about her OB/GYN appointment. Rex told a delighted Stacy that Gigi decided to be with Schuyler. As Stacy jumped up and down for joy, Nurse Charles appeared at her door. She was aware of Stacy's plan to get back with Rex, and said it was time Stacy paid Mitch back. She grabbed Stacy and told her that all she has to do is give up the child and Mitch will ensure that she gets Rex forever. She explained that they would make it appear that Stacy lost the baby, and then she would return to Llanview and bond with Rex. The nurse pulled out a hypodermic needle. "A little happy juice," the nurse explained. "You are going to have to kill me first," a horrified Stacy spat. During a fight over the needle, Nurse Charles fell to the floor. Mitch showed up. "Looks like someone didn't follow doctor's orders," he said to a terrified Stacy.

Gigi ran into Viki and Charlie at the diner and pulled Viki aside. Charlie was itching for a drink. Gigi introduced Schuyler to Viki, who wanted Gigi to keep the keys to the cabn. Gigi wondered where she was going to live — she didn't want to kick Rex out of the carriage house. Schuyler offered to up his work hours. Rex showed up at the diner and wanted to talk to Gigi, alone.

Charlie eyed an unfinished bottle of beer; Viki helped him throw it away.

Ford joined Langston at the diner, reporting that Markko was still doing the bench presses at the gym. Langston flashed back to Ford dousing himself with water in the barn. When she told him she was working on a musical, he was impressed. "I think you are a great story," he said, adding he wanted to see the musical when it was produced.

Natalie came over to John's to help him, insisting that she needed to do something to keep busiy. She added that she didn't care if she went to prison for Mitch's death. John wanted her to go home because she wasn't thinking straight. Marty, surprised to find them together, offered her professional services. "I know how hard it is," she said. Natalie thanked her and left. Marty warned John that Natalie could be violent, and reminded John that he could go to jail. "I want in. I want to help," she said. John didn't seem to want
Marty's help, and said he wasn't ready to stop being a cop. John got a call and he turned on the TV to see that Lowell was named Bo's successor. Marty exploded. John thought that Mitch was pulling the strings. Lowell showed up at John's door and arrested him.

Natalie visited Jared's grave and began to weep. Viki and Charlie saw her lying on his grave. Charlie put his arms around Natalie and they started to grieve together. "We'll get there," he promised her.

Friday

When Blair, Starr, Addie and Langston arrived at his door, Todd served up snacks and insisted he was just fine. Still, he barked at Blair and Starr when they asked questions about Tea. Starr and Langston agreed to stay at Todd's. Blair told him that she was really sorry about Tea. When Todd admitted that he had told Tea he loves her, Blair said she thought Tea would be back. Blair urged Todd to believe what Tea had said, that she would bring Dani back to Llanview. When Todd wondered if Blair was seeing someone, she wouldn't comment but looked at Eli's business card, then agreed to stay and play a game of hearts with everyone.

Dorian wept when she saw Mel. "Another find mess you've gotten into," he said. Dorian tried to explain that she was protecting her girls from Mitch. "What do I always have to be the strong one?" she asked, then "danced" with Mel and started to sob. After Mel left, Dorian said she'd figure out something. Then Mitch whispered "Honey I'm home," in her ear!

Schuyler showed up at work. Apparently, both he and Rachel were looking for a place to live. Rachel wondered why Schuyler was looking at two bedroom places when he could barely afford a studio. Schuyler said he wanted a room for Shane if Gigi moved in, then suggested rooming with Rachel. But Gigi took up Rex on his offer to let her stay in the carriage house ...on the condition that Schuyler never spend the night when Shane was thre. Schuyler tried to cover his disappointment, especially when he learned Rex's rules. "I know that Shane hates me," Schuyler sighed. Gigi was fine with Schuyler living with Rachel.

Rex told Gigi he had spoken to a lawyer about getting full custody of Shane. "Who are you?" a stunned Gigi asked, reminding Rex that he was the one who wanted her to take her time making a decision. Gigi accused Rex of trying to punish her, and wondered if Stacy had encouraged him to sue for custody.

Mitch was stunned that Stacy had fought Nurse Charles. "All I asked is that you let me help you," Mitch said. "Why aren't you in jail?" Stacy wondered. Mitch explained that the new police commissioner had released him. Stacy confirmed that she was one tough cookie, but Mitch said there was no point calling the cops, since he owns Commissioner Lowell. Stacy would be his "until my baby is born," purred Mitch, "and then I'll have no more use for you." Stacy blurted out that her baby wasn't Mitch's grandchild, but Mitch didn't believe it. Nurse Charles came to and Mitch demanded that she help him "get my grandson home." Rex burst in on Mitch and Nurse Charles trying to take Stacy with them. Stacy ran into Rex's arms, and Mitch and Nurse Charles left.

Danielle and Tea arrived in Tahiti. Dani was glad to be back but missed Ross. Tea called Rachel and told her that she had promised Dani she'd never see Todd again, adding that Todd was understanding about her decision and told her that he still loves her. Rachel didn't think Todd would turn to Blair, but Tea reminded her that Todd wasn't a very patient man. When Dani said Ross would have been fine "if that bastard hadn't shot him," Tea reminded her daughter that she would have died if she had gone over the bridge with Ross. Dani wished things could have gone back to the way they were, and held the photo of herself with Ross. "I miss you so much," she said. Tea looked to the sky and said she missed Todd. Dani gazed at some mementos of Ross ... as Ross stood outside, apparently alive and well!
