One Life To Live Recaps

Mrs. Williamson announced to Layla and Cristian that she'd changed her mind after learning that a lawyer named Bennett Thompson helped Evangeline draw up her living will. Meanwhile, Eli a.k.a. Bennett crept around Rex's hotel room in Boston and removed files with his photo on them while Rex was passed out. When Blair called his cell, he claimed he was buried in paperwork and would be home as soon as he could. He then resumed his lurking and spoke to an unconscious Rex about his success at covering up his attacks on Marty and Ford. When a man showed up to see Rex, Eli posed as the hotel guest and insisted that if anyone comes to him later claiming to be Rex Balsom, he's an impostor. Eli took the guy's file — a Massachusetts-issued marriage license — then planted a false document in Rex's case.
David barged into La Boulaie and instructed Dorian to cease her defaming of him on the Internet. Blair walked in on the confrontation and announced that she's going to marry Elijah, which seemed to puzzle her aunt. Dorian advised Blair not to rush into another marriage and asked where her engagement ring is. David wondered the same thing, and for once, he and Dorian agreed on something. Once Dorian realized that, however, she gave Blair her blessing.
Kelly arrived at Rodi's to find Jessica and Brody celebrating their pregnancy and feigned surprise when Brody told her the good news. At the bar, Natalie confided in Gigi that she was considering aborting her own pregnancy. John sensed that something was troubling Nat and later asked why she was being so secretive about her chat with Gigi. Natalie assured him it's a problem that she can solve without him. Before heading out, Gigi asked Natalie not to make any big decisions without sleeping on it. Kelly called Rex, but his phone went to voicemail, so she left him an urgent message. Meanwhile, Gigi hadn't heard from Rex all night, and texted him "Sweet dreams." Little did she know, he was out cold.
At the hospital in Maryland, Layla, Lisa and Cristian prepared themselves to let Evangeline go. Cris went first, and made a private, heart-wrenching farewell to his former love. Layla took her seat by Vange's side next and made a tearful good-bye. The doctor entered and pulled the plug as Mrs. Williamson held her daughter's hand and Layla embraced Cristian.

Téa, Nate, Danielle and Todd walked along a pier in Brooklyn as Téa talked of things to cross off her bucket list. Todd tried to yell at Nate for getting too touchy-feely with Dani, but Téa instructed everyone to get along. They headed to their first destination, the apartment building where Téa grew up with her father. Everyone was impressed by the fancy building, but Téa explained that she only lived there (in the basement) because her father was the building's super. Téa recalled how hard it was growing up surrounded by privileged private school girls and how hard she tried to fit in. She tearfully admitted that she never brought any friends home and would even pretend that her uniformed father was a stranger. Nate wondered where Téa's mom was, and Téa revealed that her mother died when she was very young. Todd chuckled after Nate stuck his foot in his mouth. Téa ushered everyone along to their next destination.
Hannah was getting a little stir crazy at St. Ann's and conjured up a fantasy of Cole coming to visit her. She asked imaginary Cole to promise to stay away from Eli. A young orderly's arrival broke her train of thought, and he looked a little bit like Cole. She flirted with him and got him to stay and talk, eyeing his phone as he set it down. Meanwhile, Starr and Cole argued over Cole's apparent lack of anger toward Hannah for pushing his mom down the stairs and trying to break up him and Starr. Cole admitted that when he and Hannah were in Delaware and he thought Starr had slept with James, he nearly slept with Hannah. Starr was stunned ... and furious. He explained the whole thing and how he couldn't go through with it, and assured Starr that there's no one else for him but her. When he asked for her forgiveness, Starr simply noted that they have to leave for court.
In Boston, Kelly frantically knocked on Rex's hotel room, which finally made him stir. She assumed that his loopy behavior meant he was out partying the night before, but the last thing he remembered was ordering room service and going over the file on Bennett Thompson. Rex phoned the front desk to inquire about his room service bill and when he learned that someone else had signed for him, he grabbed Kelly away from a suspicious plate of chips and dip. Rex shared his theory that Bennett was there and drugged his salsa, only because Rex always finishes a meal. Eli, meanwhile, arrived back in Llanview and headed straight to Blair's door, which she promptly closed on him. When she reopened it, she explained that she was angry because she couldn't reach him the night before. Eli claimed he'd taken a secret trip to New York to get her the best engagement ring, then presented her with a rock that would have satisfied Dorian.
While walking through Central Park, Téa noted that Cole's trial was about to start and suggested that Todd do something about it. She pleaded with him to let go of his pride and drop the charges against Cole for beating him up, pointing out that Starr has stuck by him through a lot this past year and he owes her this. Todd reluctantly agreed, and informed Dani that she's staying in the city with her mom while he and Nate are heading back to Llanview. Eli arrived at the courthouse early for Cole's trial and looked at the file that he'd stolen from Rex. Meanwhile, Kelly and Rex leafed through the package that was delivered to his hotel room and found nothing helpful on Bennett Thompson. Cole arrived to court and met with Eli, who advised him to blame everything on Hannah to beat the charges. At that moment, Hannah got her hands on the orderly's phone and contacted Cole, while Starr waited outside the courtroom and was happily surprised to see her father there.
Wednesday
Before Cole's trial, Starr pleaded with him to stick to the facts during his testimony. Hannah managed to reach Cole but Eli grabbed the phone away and told Hannah to steer clear of his client, reiterating that harm will come to Cole if she doesn't do as he says. Afterward, Cole commented to Eli that Hannah actually sounded sane for those few moments they spoke. Outside, Marty and Todd got into a heated discussion about her mistaken identification of Todd as her attacker. Marty asked Todd not to take out their own misunderstanding on Cole during the trial.
At the Hall of Records in Boston, Kelly and Rex looked over the file on Bennett once more agreed that these documents make him look like a saint. They tracked down Glen, Rex's contact, who followed Eli's orders and assumed that Rex was an impostor. Rex insisted that he is Rex Balsom and tried to show the guy his ID but Glen wouldn't listen. Kelly grabbed the guy's breakfast, a toasty bagel which was starting to cool, and refused to hand it over until he gave them his hear. Glen revealed that the only copies of the documents they're seeking were given to the man who posed as Rex at the hotel. Kelly and Rex feared they'd reached a dead end, but Kelly begged Glen to say what fake Rex looked like. He reluctantly described a tall, dark-haired "professional type," giving Rex and Kelly a lead, albeit a small one.
Ford looked at an article in the newspaper and realized that Nate is his brother. Meanwhile, Nate met up with Inez at the Buenos Dias. She showed him a foreclosure notice, then lied that she had a job interview when Ford called requesting a pow wow. At a nearby table, Bo and Nora enjoyed their all-you-can-eat breakfast but Nora had to head to court. Bo passed by Nate on his way out and recognized him as the guy who took the money that nearly cost James his life. Nate explained that his mom was going to lose their house and that's why he needed the money. Bo promised he wasn't asking questions in an official capacity and advised the teen to call Bo if he runs into any more trouble. Nate was grateful and surprised, considering he'd stolen Matthew's girlfriend. Bo assured the boy that he doesn't hate him for that.
Inez arrived at the hospital, where Ford confronted her with the newspaper photo of Nate, asking if that is his and James's brother. Inez was forced to admit the truth, which prompted Ford to wonder just how his little brother was conceived. She explained that their mysterious, villainous dad kicked her out shortly after Nate was conceived, when James was still a baby. She tearfully recalled threats she received from their father to stay away, and admitted that she used to watch Ford and James get on the bus for school even though she had to keep her distance. Later, an upset Inez was driving home when she got pulled over by Bo.
Cole's hearing got underway, and Cole immediately made it clear that he intends to take full responsibility for attacking Todd. Wanting to proceed by the book, the judge called Todd to the stand. Téa and Dani walked in during his testimony. Granting Téa's dying wish, Todd claimed that he doesn't want his granddaughter to be raised by one parent and said he thinks Cole should go free. The judge took Todd's words to heart and agreed to let Cole off the hook, but told Cole he'd be in hot water if he crosses with the Llanview law ever again. After the trial, Cole offered Todd his sincere thanks in front of their families, but Todd pulled Cole aside and assured him that he did this only for his daughter and granddaughter and it in no way creates a clean slate between them. Meanwhile, Hannah dialed Ford's number and insisted that there's something they desperately need to discuss: Elijah Clarke.
Thursday
At Llanfair, David updated his "MyFace" status to get a rise out of Dorian, who was doing the same thing at La Boulaie. Natalie called Gigi from the Llanfair terrace and told her she's still considering an abortion. At Rodi's, John heard Gigi saying good-bye to Nat and asked if there's anything he should know about his girlfriend. Clint found Natalie outside and noticed how pale she looks. David got jumpy when Clint entered the living room, but Clint insisted he wasn't there to shoot him. Brody and Jessica announced their pregnancy news, which greatly pleased Clint. David wanted to announce the news on MyFace, but Jessica begged him not to. When he got online, he was irked by Dorian's new status touting a handsome new lover.
Blair found Dorian at her computer and flashed her engagement ring in her face. While Dorian was impressed with the unique gem, she couldn't help but wonder what Eli's really trying to prove. Dorian became distracted with David's latest status update, that he's dating a hot swimsuit model, and marched right over to Llanfair. Interrupting an argument between David and Clint over Kim's whereabouts, Dorian demanded that David retract his claim that he's dating a swimsuit model. David demanded that Dorian reveal the identity of her new squeeze, so leaned on the nearest available man, Clint, and batted her eyelashes.
Bo told a concerned Inez that he stopped her because she'd been driving erratically. Inez assumed he was accusing her of drunk driving and volunteered to perform a sobriety test. The next thing she knew, she was pouring her heart out about abandoning her children and crying on Bo's shoulder. Bo confessed that his own son had sued him a year ago but they got through it. After hearing a little bit more of her story, Bo asked if she is Nate's mother and explained that he'd just chatted with the teen at the caf that morning. Inez made Bo promise not to say anything to Nate, and Bo assured her he can be discreet.
At St. Ann's, Hannah contacted Ford and tried to talk to him about Eli, just as Eli was trying her door. She told Ford that she didn't attack him and that Eli's just making her say that, but Ford pretended that he didn't believe her. Eli barged into her room with the orderly and demanded that she return the stolen phone. The orderly left with the phone, while Eli made it clear to his client that he will kill Cole if she doesn't play by his rules.
Langston showed up at the hospital after realizing that someone had sent a text message to Ford from her phone. Ford privately recalled his conversation with Kelly about Jessica's hepatitis, but didn't say a word about it to Langston. He then revealed that he'd recently reconnected with his mother and learned he has a secret brother. He and Langston seemed to be reaching an understanding, but when the nurse popped in to say his blood test was negative, she assumed he'd had an STD scare and stormed out. After, Ford decided to go to St. Ann's and see what Hannah's really up to.
Natalie showed up at Rodi's to speak with Gigi and ran right into John, who pressed her to reveal what's troubling her. Natalie still wouldn't say anything, but John assured her they can work through whatever it is together. Over at Llanfair, Brody got caught up in his emotions over the baby and made an impromptu marriage proposal to Jessica, which she promptly accepted. Eli, meanwhile, met up with Blair at La Boulaie and insisted that they marry right away.
Friday
When David charged Dorian with lying about her new boyfriend, Clint planted a steamy kiss on Dorian to prove him wrong. David was sufficiently disturbed by the turn of events, and Dorian was clearly satisfied. David promptly summoned Wendy to Llanfair but was disappointed to find Mandy was filling in for her. He instructed her to play the role of a swimsuit model. Meanwhile, Clint explained to Dorian that he needs something from her: a winning big to construct the new baseball park. The unscrupulous mayor agreed, as long as Clint plays along with her plan. David returned with Mandy, the new "love of his life", but Dorian wasn't convinced, so David suggested they all go on a double date.
After Cole's hearing, Téa and Danielle went to Todd's to find out where all their belongings went. Todd had taken it upon himself to move them out of the Palace and into his house, and informed Téa that they're getting married that night. Meanwhile, Eli begged Blair to elope and explained that Téa's situation has only taught him that time is precious. Jack overheard Eli going on and on about how they have to get married right away and flashed back to a movie he saw on the Slasher Channel with Todd about a murderous stepfather. Blair agreed to marry Eli in Vegas, so Jack headed straight for Todd's.
Hannah was relieved to see Ford show up at St. Ann's, but he explained that he's only there to tell her to back off. She begged him to help her, claiming that Eli will kill her. She suggested they team up to bring him down before he hurts anyone else. Ford explained that he has to protect his family and can't get involved, but that he does have a little piece of insurance -- a letter detailing everything that Eli's done should something happen to him -- and urged her to follow suit. As soon as he was gone, Hannah began writing a letter about Eli.
At Rodi's, Kelly surmised that John had a hunch about Bennett Thompson and pleaded with him to spill, but he wouldn't say a word. Cole and Starr arrived and announced that Cole's a free man, thanks to Todd. Starr and Kelly ran off to catch up on the day, while Cole confided to John that he's not sure Hannah pushed Marty. Back at his office, John called Glen Carlin, the guy from the Boston Hall of Records, and questioned him about the guy who posed as Rex. John asked the new receptionist, Rita, to fax a photo to the hall of records. "Isn't that --" the girl began, piquing an eavesdropping Kelly's curiosity. Kelly intervened with an excuse about one of Rita's co-workers needing help and saw the photo of Eli on her desk. John sighed as he saw Kelly standing there with the fax. "Does Eli know who killed my mother?" she asked him. John pulled her into his office and when her questions went unanswered, she realized that John thinks Eli is Bennett. Meanwhile, Glen received the fax and promptly called John.
After agreeing to marry Todd right away, Téa suggested that they call Starr first and explain why they're getting married so fast. Shortly after they told Starr, who was very sad to hear about Téa, Jack walked in and asked if they were all crying because Blair's eloping. He then privately revealed to Todd that he has a really bad feeling about Eli, just like the guy in Bad Dad 2. Todd brushed off his son's concerns and asked Jack to get changed and come back ASAP for his wedding to Téa. Eli left his fiancée to go "tie up some loose ends" before their big day, while Jack rushed home to beg Blair not to elope with Eli. At St. Ann's, Hannah heard someone enter her room and assumed it was one of the nuns. She handed the letter over, putting it right in Eli's hands. "Writing that letter was the last mistake you'll ever make," he said, pulling a gun on her.
