Rex continued to hunt for the blood Stacy had hidden. Gigi reminded him that
they had to find the blood in case Shane ever got sick again. Stacy joined
Rex in the shower. Rex pretended he was on the phone with the super. Stacy
dropped her towel and came on to Rex. Rex looked concerned and tried to get
out of the shower. Rex thought they should wait and go on a date first.
Stacy thought that was fine. Rex hurried out of the shower. Stacy asked why
he was avoiding her. "I know what it is you're hiding and I know why," Stacy
said. Stacy thought Rex was concerned about Shane's health. Stacy added that
Rex was worth waiting for. Now alone, Stacy fantasized having hot sex with
Rex in the shower.
Schuyler popped by to make sure Gigi was okay. Gigi brought Schuyler up-to-date, but it became clear to Schuyler that Gigi didn't know that Rex and Stacy had had sex. Schuyler asked Gigi if she was sure Rex wasn't lying to
Her, and whether Rex absolutely denied sleeping with Stacy. Gigi
thought about it. "Why?" Gigi asked. Schuyler began to tell Gigi the truth when Rex entered the living room. Gigi fell
into Rex's arms. Schuyler told Rex it was a good thing Rex learned the truth
before things got any more intimate. Rex apologized for having been a jerk
to Schuyler. Schuyler headed out to work. Rex admitted to Gigi that he couldn’t
stand being around Stacy, and worried about what he might be tempted to do to
her.
Brody applied for a job at the police department. He crumbled up the
application when he saw the question asking about hospitalization for mental
issues. Bo found Brody's crumpled up application. Bo thought Brody would be
a great cop because of his experience in special ops. Brody thought the
stint at St. Ann's would be held against him, and didn't think he'd make it
past the psych screening. Bo wasn't as sure that would happen. In fact, he
thought Brody was ahead of the game when it came to experience. Brody wanted
to be a cop because he wanted to make a difference in people's lives, and
added that he wanted to get the job on his own. Bo put Brody's application
in the active file.
John worked out the details of Cole's undercover stint and agreed to take
full responsibility for the young man.
Dorian left a message for Maurice demanding that he come to her dinner
party. Dorian left a message for Viki begging her to come. "Remember, true
love is at stake," Dorian said.
Dressed in their bridal clothes, Starr and Cole looked at their baby
sleeping in her crib. Starr admitted she sometimes woke up Hope. Starr
asked her husband-to-be if he was afraid of his future. Starr admitted that
she was scared she'd screw things up. Cole didn't think they should compare
themselves to Todd and Blair. "I am their daughter," Starr explained.
"We're not your parents. We never will be," Cole replied as he kissed
her.
Everyone gathered in Dorian's living room for the wedding. Surprise guest
Tea arrived and Blair was taken aback to learn that Todd had
invited her. Blair insisted that they be on their best behavior. The
justice of the peace arrived and asked Todd, "Which of these ladies is the
love of your life?" Tea and Blair smiled awkwardly. The wedding began. The
justice of the peace asked for the consent form. Todd handed it over and the
judge read it. "We can proceed," he said. The wedding began, and when the justice
asked for just cause for them not to get married. "Wait a minute; I have
something to say," Todd said, stopping the proceedings. Starr and Cole looked
annoyed. Todd said he wasn't a fan of marriage because of his own track
Record, but would do anything to make sure Starr and Cole stayed happy. The
wedding continued, and the justice of the peace was about to declare then man
and wife when John McBain entered the living room.
Natalie apologized to Jessica for judging Brody, adding that she now knows
everything. Jessica was happily relieved. Natalie added that Stacy still
needed to be kept in the dark. Natalie noted that she thought Brody was a
good man.
Tuesday
ONE LIFE TO LIVE was preempted. Recaps will resume on Wednesday.
Wednesday
John entered Dorian's living room moments before Starr and Coe were about to
be pronounced husband and wife. John had news and told Cole that he wasn't
going to prison. Everyone, except Todd of course, was overjoyed. Cole would
do community service instead. Marty hugged John in gratitude. "Wedding is
canceled," Todd announced. Cole was glad he didn't have to go to
Statesville. Starr wondered what would happen next. He Justice of the Peace
asked if it was time to continued. Starr appeared indecisive. Cole was ready
to give Todd a lecture. He repeated all the things that Todd had said about
him. Marty was ready to kill Todd. Todd began to rail on Col. "Shut up,"
Cole yelled to the surprise of Marty, Blair and Todd. Cole wanted a few
private moments with Starr. Cole said he still wanted to marry Starr. Starr
said she still loved him "but I can't marry you" she said.
Dorian made some final calls about the dinner. It didn't look like anyone
was coming. She called Viki but Viki didn't pick up the call. Viki told
Clint that she had refused Dorian's invitation to her dinner party. Dorian
left a message saying that Markko and Langston were delighted that Viki was
coming.
Nora and Bo watched Matthew start his physical therapy, which was obviously
very difficult for him. Matthew fell and asked his parents why they were
making him do this. "There is no point," he said frustrated. Matthew asked
why they were doing all this if "Dr. Evans was going to fix me." Nora wanted
Matthew to keep working. "It hurts like hell," Matthew explained and
wondered if his parents doubted Dr. Evans' ability to "fix him." Bo and
Nora didn't want him to count on Evans 100 percent. Bo got a call from Dr.
Evans saying the test results were in. They headed to Dr. Evans office.
Clint decided not to accompany them because Nora and Bo were Matthew's
parents. Greg had made a decision about the case.
Destiny opened a present from Greg. Shawn was angry that Greg had missed the
dinner with the family. "Will you cut me some slack or is there no way to
win with you?" Greg asked. Greg tried to make amends. "That ship has sailed
brother," Shaun said firmly. Greg asked about Shaun and Matthew's sister.
Shaun wasn't about to open up about his personal life. Greg, Destiny and
Shaun sat at the table together. Destiny asked questions about Matthew's
condition but Greg couldn't go into details. Destiny invited Greg over to
their house. "Shaun is a mean cook," she said. Shaun admitted that he had
romantic feelings for Rachel. Destiny admitted she liked Matthew but "he
doesn't know I'm alive." Rachel showed up at the restaurant. Destiny pointed
out that she was there with "some other guy."
Schuyler brought flowers to Rachel but they were from Shaun. Schuyler
thought Shaun sounded like a keeper. Rachel admitted she liked him and he
was a nice guy. Schuyler thought the words Nice Guy were the kiss of death.
Schuyler opened up on relationships. Schuyler insisted he was just talking
about anyone in recovery. "That is why you take things slowly," Rachel
added. She explained that Shaun was nothing like his brother. "He is so full
of himself," she added. Schuyler told Rachel a little about the Stacy/Gigi
situation and didn't want Gigi to be hurt. Schuyler added that though Gigi
was now completely honest with Rex, Rex wasn't returning the favor. He
admitted there was a small part of him that would always love Stacy. Rachel
wanted to treat Schuyler to lunch.
Rex assured Gigi that he'd find the blood Stacy was hiding. Rex added that
Shane's leukemia was coming back. Rex said they would pretend it had come
back to get the blood. Rex thought it was time to tell Shane the truth and
have him help with the scam on Stacy. Gigi asked Rex all the questions that
Shane might ask. Gigi wondered what would happen if Stacy figured out it as
a ruse. Gigi wondered what they should tell Shane about them. "Are we back
together?" Gigi asked.
Clint asked Viki if she was ready to try marriage again. Viki smiled and
said she loved Charlie. Viki asked Clint about the new doctor for Matthew.
Clint added that Bo was going to be his best man. Viki thought Clint was
pressuring Nora into marriage. Viki pointed out that the Nora/Clint/Bo
situation was complicated. Clint was upset that he hadn't been invited to
attend Matthew's concert. Clint happily announced that he had not lost his
temper and suggested Matthew play the piano on their wedding. Clint admitted
that he and Bo do compete sometimes. "That Bo, he's always under foot,"
Clint said. "You are marrying Nora who is your brother's ex-wife. It's a
loaded situation," Viki stressed. Viki thought Clint would end up a jealous
man if he didn't stop trying to one up his brother. "You are becoming more
and more like you father every day," Viki told Clint. Clint admitted he
wanted to make Nora happy. Viki urged her ex husband to relax.
Thursday
Greg reminded the Buchanans that spinal surgery was very serious but he thought that Matthew could walk again. "Great, let's do it," Matthew said excitedly. Nora and Bo wanted details before any surgery happened. Bo demanded to know the kind of risks "we are looking at." Matthew didn't understand why his parents were hesitant. Greg thought there was a good chance Matthew could regain use of his legs. Nora wanted to know what the chances were that the procedure could kill her son. Greg said spinal surgery could be life threatening. Matthew didn't think it was going to happen. Greg urged the family to come to the decision together. Greg tried to convince them that he would be able to do the surgery successfully. Nora made it clear that she did not want Matthew to have the surgery. Matthew was upset. Bo tried to explain that Dr. Evans was a showboat. Matthew tried to point out that someone could die from crossing the street. Bo explained that they were just looking out for him. Matthew made it clear that he wants his life back now. Bo and Nora countered by saying they didn't want to risk losing him. Parents and son reached an impasse. Matthew asked Bo if he had his own opinion. Bo didn't want to risk losing him. "What I want counts too," Matthew yelled. "I would rather be dead that spend the rest of my life in this chair. Don't you understand that?" he said as he wheeled off in rage.
Destiny pointed out to Shaun that Rachel was with another guy. (Rachel was with Schuyler.) Destiny invited Rachel and Schuyler to join them. Rachel explained that she and Schuyler work together and are just friends. Destiny spilled something on Schuyler's pants which meant that Rachel and Shaun would be alone. (Destiny took Schuyler from the table to help him dry off.) Rachel and Shaun had a sweet conversation. Schuyler assured Destiny he wasn't into Rachel. Rachel admitted she was in recovery and that men tend to
go screaming from her. "People in recovery carry more baggage," she said. Shaun admitted he was interested. Greg showed up and told Rachel that Matthew could walk again. There were no guarantees, he said. Rachel stormed off unimpressed with Greg's ego. Greg asked Destiny if Shaun and Rachel were an item. "I hope so," Destiny said with a smile.
At the interrupted wedding, Dorian told Langston that Markko looked very handsome. Dorian assured her daughter that the dinner party would fix everything for Langston and Markko's romance. Dorian promised that Markko's parents would see Langston has a wonderful family. Markko's parents were the first to arrive for Dorian's dinner party. Langston was quite nervous about everything and wondered if Dorian would indeed carry it off.
Starr told Cole that she couldn't marry him. She tried to convince him that it was the best thing for everyone. Cole didn't understand. Starr explained that everything they did happened because of a life and death situation. The first time they made love, she remembered, happened because they thought they'd never see each other again. Starr said she wanted a nice big wedding when she finally got married. Cole understood and was so happy that he wasn't going to prison. Langston hugged both of them. Todd was happy that his daughter wasn't getting married.
Gigi begged Rex to forgive her for lying to him. "A lot has happened between us," Rex said solemnly. Gigi said she was still the same but agreed that she should have been honest with him from the start. Gigi apologized and apologized over and over again. She added that there were so many times she had wanted to tell him the truth. Rex reminded her that they needed each other the most during the Shane/Leukemia crisis. Rex tried to explain his
frustration in thinking Gigi had hooked up with Shane and then Schuyler. "I never stopped loving you Gigi, " Rex said, " but I wanted to." Gigi was relieved to learn that Rex still loves her. Gigi pulled him into a passionate kiss and they headed upstairs to make love. Schuyler called wanting to see Rex. Rex said it wasn't a good time. Schuyler asked why Rex hadn't told Gigi he had slept with her sister Stacy.
Cole asked if John took his old job back as part of the deal he cut for him. John said they would talk about it in his old/new office at the police department. John said there was some risks in what Cole would be doing. Marty was upset at that news. "Cole is going undercover. Let me explain," John said.
Friday
On the telephone Schuyler asked Rex why he hadn't told Gigi about his night with Stacy. Rex immediately pulled on his clothes and told Gigi he had to go out to Ultra Violet. Gigi wondered if Rex got a call from Stacy. Gigi promised never to keep anything from Rex again. Rex and Gigi agreed they would tell Shane everything when Rex came back. Stacy came over and guessed
that Gigi had just had sex with Schuyler. "What's fair is fair. You slept with my ex. I slept with yours," Stacy said with a smile. "You are lying," Gigi said. Stacy said they had gotten closer. "Rex is mine now. Mine," Stacy said gloating. Gigi pushed Stacy out of the door and began throwing things around, clearly distressed at what Stacy had told her. Rex came home and found Gigi sitting on the floor. "She said you had sex. Did you?" Gigi asked Rex, who turned away with a very guilty face.
Rex charged into Schuyler's apartment. Schuyler was clearly annoyed that Rex had lied to Gigi. "You let Gigi believe that you didn't touch Stacy," Schuyler said. He went on to explain how he knew that Rex "did her on the dance club floor." Rex punched Schuyler. "How is this any of your business?" Rex asked as he wished Schuyler a nice life. Schuyler reminded Rex that Stacy can't wait to tell Gigi the truth. "This is a nightmare," Rex admitted. Rex said he slept with Stacy. Schuyler said Rex was being manipulated. "How dangerous is she?" Rex asked. Schuyler had nothing to share but made it clear that he was just Gigi's friend. "I can take it from here," Rex said as Schuyler slammed the door after him.
Markko and his parents showed up at Dorian's. Markko was horrified when he realized that none of the other guests would be there. Dorian and Langston tried to wing it. Dorian said that she had offered Maurice his job back. Dorian said it was a great honor to have the Riveras at her house. Dorian apologized to Ernesto for her behavior at Markko's graduation party. Dorian admitted to have overindulged in alcohol that night. "My life is an open book," Dorian admitted after Ernesto reminded Dorian that she had been accused of murdering her husband Victor Lord. Dorian insisted that all the guests would be there.
Dorian's dinner party began with all the guests (Noelle, Moe, Charlie and Viki) not at La Boulaie but at the diner. Shaun chimed in that he had been invited too. Noelle knew nothing about it. Noelle reminded them that the dinner was for Markko and Langston. "I thought you all were better than that?" Noelle asked putting them in their place. Noelle headed to Dorian's. She was followed by Viki, Charlie, Moe and Shaun. "Welcome. Welcome.
Welcome," Dorian said and she mouthed "Thank you" to Viki. Ernesto reminded Dorian that she had poured alcohol down Charlie's throat. "That's a little hard to explain," Charlie admitted. Dorian said she would try to make it up to him. "What I did to this man was horrible," Dorian confessed and pointed out that Charlie and Viki were there for Langston and Markko. Ernesto wanted
to leave. "No. Not so fast," Dorian said as she began to tell Ernesto to get off his high horse. She continued to say that Markko was a grown man and loved her daughter and nothing would keep them apart. Markko chose Langston over his family. He grabbed her hand and took her upstairs. Ernesto was very angry.
Cris asked Layla out, actually to come to the diner for dinner, but she informed him she was on a date with Fish. Cris kept calling Layla. Layla turned off her cell phone. Kyle overheard Cris say that Layla was on a date with Fish. Kyle asked Cris some questions. Cris asked Kyle if there was something he should know about Fish. "We all live together," he explained. "Is Fish bad news for Layla?" Cris asked. "He's using her," Kyle admitted. "She'll be hurt." Cris wondered what that meant.
Fish told Layla she got the job at the police station and ordered champagne. Layla pointed out that the waiter was crushing on Fish. Fish was uncomfortable. "Just because the waiter is gay, doesn't mean you are gay," Layla said as she added she was good at telling if someone was gay or not. Fish was still uncomfortable and hurried her out of the restaurant to go home. Layla teased him and said he would get to first base, maybe second.
