One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of June 15, 2009

Monday

Marcie arrived at La Boulaie with Hope and asked to speak to Starr alone. Upstairs, Marcie watched Starr play with Hope and asked if Starr still believes that Marcie is the best mom for her baby. Starr insisted that Marcie is Hope's mom now, but Marcie said she can sense how much Starr regrets her decision. After explaining that she can see that Starr has matured over the last year, she offered to let Starr raise the baby. It took a bit of convincing, but Starr finally admitted that nothing would make her happier than raising her biological daughter. She gratefully took the child in her arms as Marcie tore up the adoption papers and credited Starr with giving Marcie her life back.

Dorian was a mess as she crushed a champagne flute in her hand at Markko's graduation party. Moe and Noelle whispered about how she must be upset that Ray skipped town. When Markko's parents, Aurelia and Ernesto, showed up for the graduation party, Dorian mistook them for hired help and tried to usher them to the kitchen. She quickly backtracked and welcomed them to her home, but stuck her foot in her mouth again when she heard that Markko's real name is Geraldo. The Riveras were eager to meet Langston's uncle, but Dorian explained that he had to take his crazy daughter far from Llanview and revealed that Lola murdered her mother! Markko's parents were horrified as they witnessed Dorian's rant. Langston tried to get her to stop talking, but Dorian caught them up on everything that happened with Lola, including her poking holes in Langston and Markko's condoms on prom night. Aurelia ran off, while Ernesto thanked Dorian for the party and followed his wife to the door, taking Markko with them.

At Todd and Blair's custody hearing, Téa reluctantly took the stand. Todd's lawyer took the opportunity to remind the judge that Todd once married Téa to secure custody of his and Blair's children, just as Blair did when she married John. To Téa's dismay, Morgan played an audiotape of Téa admitting to Todd that she orchestrated John and Blair's fake marriage. Blair's attorney retaliated by noting that Téa was sleeping with Todd while she was representing his ex-wife in their last custody go-round. Todd was amused as Téa revealed what she and Blair shared in the boiler room. During recess, Todd asked Téa if he really was the love of her life. "Emphasis on was," she spat. The judge called the court back in session and announced his ruling: Todd and Blair can have custody of their children if they raise them together, under one roof, and put the needs of their children ahead of theirs; otherwise, it's foster care for the Manning kids. Todd told Blair to pack her bags.

Langston and Moe jumped all over Dorian for ruining the party. Still on a tear, Dorian revealed that her lawyers had finally sorted out the ownership of the mansion and she is once again the rightful owner. She evicted Moe and Noelle, then fired Shaun, telling him to take his "little friend" Rachel with him, too. Afterward, Langston accused Dorian of acting out because Ray dumped her. But drunken Dorian was beyond reason, so Langston dumped a bottle of champagne in the pool and pushed Dorian in, too! She then headed into the parlor just in time to hear Mrs. Rivera forbid Markko from seeing her. Langston tried to speak on Markko's behalf but they didn't want to hear anything she had to say and insisted that Markko go home with them.

Meanwhile, Cole ran to the docks and right into drug dealer Asher, who pressed Cole's buttons to try to get him to do drugs again. Cole argued that he was okay with not graduating and giving away his baby, but Asher dangled a bag of pills in front of him. When Cole refused to buy them, Asher just shoved them in his jacket pocket and ran off. Just as Cole was about to toss them into the water, a young cop approached him. He asked if Cole has a prescription for the pills and when Cole claimed they belonged to someone else, the officer arrested him. Back at La Boulaie, Blair walked into Starr's bedroom and asked why Hope was there. "She's home, mom," Starr smiled.

Tuesday

During a study session, Destiny was surprised to hear that Matthew's mom is marrying his uncle, considering she and Bo have been so close lately. He admitted that he'd noticed the way his parents look at each other when they are together. Meanwhile, Bo did a double take when Nora mentioned that she and Clint moved up the wedding, citing his concern for Matthew and “everything that's going on with Jessica.” But Nora said it was actually Clint's idea. Marty and John met up with Cole at the police station after he was arrested, and he gave an honest account of what happened at the docks. John trudged into Bo's office to inform him that Cole was picked up on the docks for possession. Cole swore on his baby's life that he didn't ask for, buy or ingest any pills. He even offered to take a drug test, but Bo believed Cole's claim. John asked Nora if she can make this trouble go away for Cole. Nora explained that because he'd violated his probation, jail is the next step. She suddenly received a call informing her that the judge had already heard about the violation and Cole would have to go prison.

Marcie returned home from giving Hope to Starr, and Michael asked her if she was okay. “I will be, I guess,” she sighed and went to his outspread arms. She recounted how happy Starr was when she held the baby. Michael knew that they did the right thing. When Marcie suggested they redecorate the apartment, Michael had another idea: Move! Michael revealed that he got a job offer as an attending physician at Seattle Grace Hospital.

Blair couldn't believe the good news that Starr has Hope for good. Starr explained that Marcie said she knew that she and Michael would be happy with or without a baby. She asked her mom if she was still willing to help raise Hope. Blair reported that she's up for the challenge but added that there's another twist in their saga: Starr, Hope and Blair are going to live with Todd, as per the judge's order. At Bo's urging, Cole called Starr back, but let her think he was out for the night with Marty and John. Starr insisted that he come by in the morning because she has something really big to tell him in person.

Shaun walked Rachel to her front door, lamenting that he has nowhere to go now that Dorian fired him. Rachel didn't think Dorian was serious but she invited Shaun in for a meal. They entered the mansion just as Destiny was about to mention her doctor brother to Matthew. Shaun barked at her to get back to the math, then privately reminded her not to let Matthew get his hopes up about their brother's medical skills. Destiny turned her attention to Rachel and Shaun, suggesting that they start dating. As Shaun walked Rachel out, she told him not to worry about, repeating that they're just friends. Meanwhile, Matthew was grateful for the help Destiny gave him and they shared a hug.

After the custody hearing, Téa accused Todd of using their private conversation against her, but he argued that he was just using it against Blair. “I tape everything at the house,” he shrugged. Todd followed her out as she rolled to the elevator griping that what she said in the boiler room was during a very stressful time and she was not in her right mind. She was afraid that after what happened in the courtroom, she'd be disbarred. Todd dialed the Palace Hotel and informed Téa that there are no vacancies (although we're not sure if he really dialed the hotel in the first place). He insisted that the “love of [her] life” should really be the one to take care of her and playfully whined for her to come home with him. She finally agreed, but only if he deactivates the creepy surveillance equipment. While wheeling her into the elevator, he announced that the kids would be living with him, then whispered “and so will Blair”.

As Starr sat with Blair and the baby and talked about how she never imagined all this would happen, her voiceover accompanied scenes of Shaun nearly kissing Rachel before Destiny entered, Michael and Marcie happily researching Seattle on the Internet, Todd wheeling Téa out of the elevator ... and Cole going to his jail cell.

Wednesday

Langston was thrilled for Starr when she found out that Hope was living with
them now. Meanwhile, the McBains were packing up their apartment when Marcie
suddenly realized that she had to run an errand. Cole's hearing began and
the judge scolded him for breaking his probation, reminding him that Matthew
is in a wheelchair for life because of Cole's actions. The judge didn't buy
his story about just being given the drugs, and sentenced him to no less
than five years in prison. Nora approached the bench and testified that
she'd witnessed a significant change in Cole over the last few months and
believes he deserves another chance. The judge called a recess to mull it
over. Meanwhile, Starr couldn't wait to tell Cole about their baby.

As Bo explained to Matthew that he was unable to prevent Cole's arrest,
Matthew pried into the amount of time Bo and Nora had been spending
together. Rex arrived with Shane for the big community center concert, and
Stacy followed after bribing "some kid" to hold them front-row seats.
Destiny announced to Matthew and Shane that the choir's piano player had to
bail at the last minute and suggested that Matthew fill in. Matt said he
didn't really play, but she'd already heard him tickling the ivories in the
band room before school. Matthew hadn't played since before the accident,
but when Shane revealed that he hadn't touched the drums since before he was
hospitalized, they joked that they could be the "Hospital Escapees Club.” Bo
and Rex took a walk through the woods while the kids were setting up, and Bo
asked Rex if he could ever work things out with Gigi. He explained that he'd
been through a lot with Nora, but he eventually understood why she did what
she did. Bo offered a little advice: Take it slow with Stacy, if that's
where he's headed. Meanwhile, Stacy tracked down Schuyler but he didn't want
to talk to her. Although she denied stealing any blood, he urged her to get
out of whatever bad situation she's in. Inside, Bo stopped dead in his
tracks when he heard Matthew practicing the keyboard. He phoned Nora and
told her to get over to the community center ASAP. Even though she had a
date with Clint, she agreed to attend. Bo turned to Rex and told him to keep
an open mind about Gigi or he could be too late someday. Gigi, meanwhile,
was saying good-bye to Marcie at Rodi's.

Jessica visited Nash's grave before Chloe's memorial and told him that their
baby is dead because of her. Brody stood nearby and listened before
revealing himself. She cried as she asked her late husband to take care of
Chloe better than she did. Meanwhile, Natalie wondered how Jessica would
handle seeing Chloe's grave, just as Jessica approached with Brody. Jessica
summoned the strength to say good-bye, and after making a tearful apology,
she traced the shape of a heart on the coffin and told her to bring that to
Nash.

The judge reduced Cole's prison sentence, which still disappointed Cole and
his mother. Cole didn't know how he was going to tell Starr, but he headed
over to La Boulaie. When he arrived at the kitchen door, he was shocked to
see Starr holding Hope. Starr explained that Marcie stopped the adoption and
Hope is theirs now. Cole was happy but Starr could tell that something was
bothering him.

In his rush to get out of town, Michael gave John the keys to his car and
asked his brother to sell it. John was disappointed that Michael was going
to be living so far away, but agreed to visit him and Marcie in Seattle.
When John told him to take care of Hope, Michael revealed that they'd given
the baby back to Starr.

Nora arrived to the concert just as the choir began to sing, and Bo's face
lit up when she sat down next to him. The choir's song accompanied a montage
showing Starr giving Cole their baby to hold, Jessica crying in Brody's arms
at Chloe's grave, and Bo and Nora holding hands! As bored as she was by the
schmaltzy song, Stacy reached over for Rex's hand, and he smiled back at
her. Meanwhile, Michael came home to the empty apartment and called out for
Marcie. There was nothing in the apartment but a radio ... and a small pink
box. Marcie opened the door to the bathroom and held up a pregnancy test
stick with a positive result. Michael screamed for joy and Marcie jumped
into his arms. Happy times!

Thursday

Gigi did a dance of joy when Schuyler announced that the test on Stacy's hair sample did not make her a match for Shane. Stacy and Rex walked in just as Gigi was embracing Schuyler. They caught Gigi up on the kids’ concert, which Stacy simply raved about. Gigi stopped Rex and Stacy from leaving and called out that she has something to tell them. But when she had his attention, Gigi changed her mind about telling Rex when he was suddenly alarmed that she had bad news about Shane. She made up a story about Shane getting the okay from the doctor to go to baseball camp. After Rex and Stacy were gone, Gigi explained to Schuyler that she has to figure out who the real donor is before telling Rex the truth. Meanwhile, Stacy tried to talk him out of being upset over Gigi and suggested they go swimming somewhere. When Rex remembered that he used to sneak into the country club, Stacy dared him to do it again.

Blair disturbed a still-slumbering Dorian, who was suffering a hangover from the awful graduation party. When Dorian heard a baby crying, Blair explained that Hope is living with them now. Dorian cried tears of joy, then asked how they were going to make sure Todd stays away from the baby. She suddenly realized that she fired Shaun, who would be key in keeping Todd at bay. Blair had to break it to Dorian that the judge ordered Todd and Blair to remain under the same roof. Dorian was determined to figure out another way for them to keep Blair’s children. Meanwhile, Langston went to the country club to see Markko. He explained that his dad actually drove over his cell phone so that he couldn't use it anymore. Later, Ernesto was furious when he arrived at the club to witness his son kissing Langston. The club manager had to ask Markko’s father to leave when their argument escalated.

Cole dealt with a fidgety Hope while Starr went to retrieve a fresh diaper. Cole asked the little baby how he was going to break the news to Starr that he's going away for a long time. When she returned, he awkwardly explained that they can’t raise the baby together but Starr didn’t understand. Dorian came rushing in to see Hope and interrupted their conversation. When she was finally gone, Cole began to tell Starr everything.

At Todd’s house, Téa was still harping on her career being in jeopardy and refused to eat his toaster cakes. Todd was silent as she complained about the hearing. Téa asked if there’s something he’s not telling her, but he danced around the subject. Blair walked in on them in a compromising position and soon realized that he hadn’t yet told Téa about their new living arrangement.

Fish approached Layla in the park under the guise of issuing her a summons for letting her dog run around without a leash. He was just teasing, but Layla didn’t seem to find it funny. Oliver sensed the tension between them and asked if she’s still upset about his hookup with Stacy. She assured him that’s history. Kyle ran by while on a jog and stopped to talk to Fish. After he was gone, Layla asked why Fish didn’t introduce her. Fish explained that Kyle is in trouble with the law and not someone she wants to know. Layla was skeptical but understood the friction that can happen between friends, citing her love/hate relationship with Cristian. He asked if they were dating, but she clarified that she and Cris are definitely just friends. When he asked if they ever have a chance of going out again, she remarked that it’d be awkward given that they’re living together. She agreed to go to a concert with him nonetheless, but later wondered what really happened between Kyle and Fish.

At the country club, Rex and Stacy pretended to be Mr. and Mrs. Underhill and took up residence on some lounge chairs. When Stacy asked him to put lotion on her back and untied her bikini, Rex was clearly uncomfortable. Across the patio, the manager barked at Markko to get back to work when he was caught kissing Langston good-bye. Gigi phoned Kyle and said she needs to see him right away.

Friday

At the apartment, Layla walked in on a half-naked Cristian who was working
on a new painting. "You have a problem with the human body?" Cris snarked to
his embarrassed roomie. Layla pointed out that the living room was not an
art studio. Just then, Fish came home and said he'd get changed. "For what?"
Cris asked. "Our date," Layla replied. Layla returned, all dressed up. Cris
said it's not a good idea to date your roommate and they needed Fish's share
of the rent. Just then, Fish came out of the shower to go to his room. "Nice
pecs," Layla said. Cris agreed. An embarrassed Fish slipped away. Layla got
paint on her and went to wash off. Fish emerged and Cris gave him some
advice. "Treat her right, or you don't want to know what happens," he
stated. Cris then advised getting Layla some yellow roses.

At the county club, Rex and Stacy enjoyed the perks of sneaking in and
laying around the pool all afternoon. "Running a con is a lot like poker,"
Rex told her. "It's all about the bluff." Just then, the Head Waiter came
over and mentioned that the real Mr. Underhill is allergic to the white wine
they just ordered. The jig appeared to be up but Rex and Stacy were able to convince the Head Waiter that they were indeed the real
deal. The Head Waiter returned and informed Rex and Stacy that he just spoke
to the real Mr. Underhill, who confirmed that he had no grandson. The Head Waiter
then called security and had the couple booted from the premises.

When Kyle returned from his run, Roxie informed him, "It's moving day." Kyle
told Roxie that unless she wanted to go to jail for her role in the bone
marrow switch, he wouldn't be going anywhere. At Rodi's, Schuyler was
speechless when Gigi showed him the outfit she was going to wear to seduce
info out of Kyle. Later, Gigi showed up at Kyle's, where he claimed his
innocence in the bone marrow switch. When Kyle was going to put on a shirt,
Gigi told him to leave it off and dropped her coat. Gigi purred that they
could play a little game of LET'S MAKE A DEAL and pulled him into a kiss.
Gigi then pushed him off, saying she couldn't go through with it. She said
she knows Stacy's not the real donor and demanded to know who was. Kyle said
he wanted to help her and asked for a favor. He said he'd come clean if Gigi
would get Natalie to drop the charges against him. Gigi claimed that she had
no pull with Natalie but Kyle stood firm. A dejected Gigi left.

Starr was crushed when Cole informed her that he was headed back to jail.
"This can't be happening," Starr cried. Cole said that his parole violation
meant he was going away for a couple of years. Cole explained that Nora got
the sentence knocked down from five years to two. Starr was determined to
keep her new family intact. Cole said that he might get out in a year with
good behavior. He was upset that just when everything worked out with the
baby, things blew up in his face. "How can you believe in me when I don't
even believe in myself," Cole huffed. He was afraid Starr and the baby would
forget all about him.

Téa was stunned to hear that the judge ordered Todd and Blair to live
together in the custody case. Téa said there no way the three of them would
or could live together in Todd's house. Blair agreed, stating she was taking
Todd home with her. Todd balked so Blair decided to break the news that
Marcie ripped up the adoption papers and Starr was going to raise Hope. Todd
and Téa were both stunned.

Roxie met up with Schuyler, who was filling in for Gigi behind the bar.
Roxie encouraged Schuyler to help come between Rex and Stacy. Schuyler
claimed that he had no interest in Stacy and pointed out that Gigi's
cheating was responsible for the break-up in the first place. Schuyler and
Roxie could tell that the other knew more than they were saying. Later, Gigi
returned and said the plan was a flop. Schuyler pointed to Roxie and said
they might have another option.

Upon coming home, Rex and Stacy got hot and heavy.... Cole said he deserves
his fate but Hope doesn't. Starr told Cole she loved him and they could get
through anything. Cole said he loved her too, dropped on one knee and
proposed, just as Todd walked in.
