One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of June 21, 2010

Monday

Shane wanted Rex to teach him how to throw a curve ball. Rex and Gigi started to whisper and Shane wanted to know what that was about. "We're dating," Gigi explained. Shane was delighted; Rex asked Gigi about their second date.

Kelly assured a worried Jessica that Tess or Bess hadn't tried to kill Ford. Brody was happy to learn that Kelly had hired Jessica back at The Sun, but could tell something was bothering her. Jessica was starting to tell Brody about "that night," when John called to tell him who beat up Ford. Jessica's ears perked up. She was relieved to learn Ford had identified Hannah as the attacker.

Ford got a call from a mystery person and informed the caller he had told John that Hannah attacked him. "I did what the letter said," Ford told the person on the other end of the phone line.

Shaun caught Reed snooping around Kelly's office. Reed insisted he was looking for a "writing instrument"; Kelly pushed Shaun out the door. Kelly thought it was odd that Reed was in her office but assured him that she wasn't suspicious of him. When Reed asked for another date, Kelly hesitated and said she'd call him tomorrow. Reed accused her of making herself unavailable. "Work isn't everything," he snapped. Desperate for a reaction from Kelly, Reed he dropped a potted plant. Kelly slapped him; turned out it was a vase from Kelly's mother. Kelly said it was too early for her to be involved in a relationship. "I never meant for this to happen," Reed said apologetically. Kelly sat on the floor and wept. After Shaun began to help Kelly pick up the pieces of the flower pot, she found a piece of paper that appeared to be in the pottery.

Hannah wanted to send Cole the photo of Starr and James, but Cole wouldn't pick up his phone so she threw it on the ground. Bull picked it up and saw the photo of Starr and James. "I need to find her," Bull said excitedly. Hannah lied and said she was just taking some random shots with her new phone, and wondered if there was a message that she could give Starr. Hannah asked Bull all about James. Bull gave Hannah his number in case she found out where Starr and James were.

Cole picked up Jack's phone and explained to Starr (who was with James) that he had been sprung from prison. "Where are you?" he asked pointedly. Starr couldn't tell Cole exactly where she was. Cole apologized for how things had been left between them, and said he had to stay within city limits. He wanted to meet Starr with the baby. "I can't see you at all," Starr said, her eyes filling with tears. It was better if they stayed away from each other, Starr said sadly. Cole took the blame for how bad things had been between them and begged for a chance to fix it, but Starr insisted it wasn't safe for them to meet. "Are you in some kind of trouble?" Cole asked. Starr replied that she needed time to think. Both agreed that they wanted to be together, but Starr wanted to make sure that there was nothing else — ie. Hannah — in the way. "I want you with me now," Cole said. "I will call you when I'm ready," Starr promised, and hung up.

Starr blamed James for her having to lie to her boyfriend, but had to admit that things were bad between Cole and her before she met James. All of a sudden, Starr had a brainstorm and thought of something that would help her get back to Cole.

Langston urged Cole to be patient. Hannah showed up at Cole's — actually Dorian's — door anxious to finish their conversation. "Maybe she's with her new boyfriend," Hannah teased when Cole said he wanted to get to Starr.

Tuesday

Todd tended to Téa after her radiation treatment. "I knew it," Dani snapped when she spotted them in bed together. She and Todd are back together, sputtered Téa, anxious to keep the truth about her illness from Dani. Téa's sex life is none of her business, Todd added. Dani stormed off, furious that her mother didn't recognize Todd as the big bad wolf. Todd urged Téa to tell Dani the truth, but Téa sighed that just wanted to see Dani happy for "a little while longer." Todd tried to remain optimistic. "You are going to get that miracle," he insisted. Téa kissed him goodbye. Dani returned to her mom's bedside but before Téa could tell her about her illness, Dani informed her mom that she broke up with Matthew. Dani insisted that she was just friends with Nate, but admitted she kind of does like him. She was on the verge of confessing about the money they found, but changed the story and said that Nate got a job and gave his entire salary to his mom. Dani apologized for having been so unpleasant to her mother. "I don't know what I'd do without you," she said as her mother hugged her. When Téa insisted Todd was a good person, Dani said she might give Todd a chance, but still thought Todd was dangerous. Téa wanted to meet Nate, but Dani didn't think that was a good idea, yet. "He's just really cool and I'm just this mess," Dani admitted. Todd called Téa and learned she hadn't told Dani yet.

Relieved that Hannah was the one who attacked Ford, Jessica called Kelly with the scoop. Natalie ran into her sister at the diner and asked her what was bothering her. As they discussed Langston, and Natalie flashed back to having sex with Brody. "Natalie. Are you okay?" her sister asked. Remembering the pact she made with Brody at Bo and Nora's wedding, Nat kept mum.

Kelly found a piece of paper a shard from the broken vase. She opened it and read the name Bennett Thompson. Todd walked into Kelly's office and she showed him the piece of paper, convinced that Bennett Thompson murdered her mother. Todd didn't say anything. "You are acting like your dog just died," Kelly said. Todd told her to keep her nose out of his business ... then pulled her into a kiss! Kelly pulled away. "I hope it doesn't happen again," Todd said as he left her office. Kelly searched for Bennett Thompson on her computer.

As John and Brody hunted for Hannah, Kelly called John with the Bennett clue. John said he'd send forensics over to pick up the evidence. In Hannah's room, Brody noticed that Hannah had doctored a photograph so it looked like she and Cole were together. "We need to find Cole," John said. John wondered if Hannah's sweater would match the fiber found at the crime scene and noticed some blood on the sweater. John and Brody headed over to Dorian's to continue their hunt for Starr and/or Cole.

Hannah suggested to Cole that Starr might be with her new boyfriend, and showed him the picture of Starr and James. Hannah hinted that Hope seemed to know James. Asked why she would take a photo of Starr, Hannah claimed she did it for Cole. After Hannah apologized for having shown Cole the photographs, Cole tried to convince himself that it didn't mean anything. She also saw James and Starr at Starr's recent graduation, Hannah shared. Cole figured out that Starr had called him from James' phone. Hannah secretly listened to the message that John had left on Cole's phone; it was warning him about Hannah. The second message told Cole to stay at Dorian's. Hannah lied to Cole that she might know where Starr and James were and got him to leave Dorian's. John and Brody rushed into Dorian's but Cole wasn't there.

Starr figured if she gave James the 50 thousand dollars he needs to repay his dad, she could be happily reunited with Cole. When James wondered how Starr would get that much money, she explained that her dad was filthy rich. Of course, Todd would ask her about why she needed the money.... Starr offered to sell her car to raise the dough, insisting that she was doing this so she could get back with her boyfriend and her daughter. James said he'd tell Cole it was all his fault once all the stuff was over. Worried that Bull might find them, James promised that by this time tomorrow "you'll have your life back." Spooked by noises upstairs, Starr slept in the living room with James, who promised he'd make sure nothing happened to her.

Wednesday

Charlie doused a sunbathing David with lemonade. Charlie wanted David to return to London. Viki asked Charlie what he was doing yelling at David. Viki sent David to the showers. Charlie said he wanted to whisk Viki to the cabin for some alone time. Charlie said that David hanging around naked "really bothers me." Charlie wanted to bring Viki to Llantano mountain with a picnic basket. Dorian interrupted their kiss with news that they had gotten funds for their project. Viki said it was okay for Charlie to go with Dorian to take a meeting. Charlie told his wife she never ceases to amaze him. Dorian and Charlie headed out to the meeting.

David suggested that he and Viki head to the cabin. "No thanks," was her reply.

Blair played Starr's message — the one explaining that she wouldn't be around for a few days — for Dorian and Langston. They were all worried about what Hannah might do. Dorian asked Langston to call her if Ford ever tried to get in touch with her. Blair couldn't get a hold of Cole either. Dorian thought that Cole and Starr had reunited and they were somewhere together. (They were not.) Eli asked Blair if she had heard from Starr. Blair shook her head no. Eli didn't think Hannah was as bad as Blair did. "Am I being paranoid here?" Blair wondered aloud.

Ford got a phone call from someone he didn't want to talk to. Ford said that he had told the police Hannah had tried to kill him. Langston walked in on the nurse giving Ford a sponge bath. Langston shared that she had been a suspect too and that they arrested Markko. Langston admitted she had gone against everything she believed in to be with him. She said she had lied to everyone except Ford. She had trusted him. Langston asked him why he had said he loved her if he had never cared about her. "I shouldn't have come," she said as she left. James called Ford to see how he was doing.

Marty visited John at the police precinct concerned about Cole. She worried that Hannah had gotten to him. (She had.) Marty wondered if Hannah had gotten to Cole. Todd barged in to John's office. "Why haven't you arrested that little nut job yet," he asked. John said that they were looking for Hannah. Todd accused John of wanting to continue to believe that he pushed Marty. Todd was sure Hannah was with Cole. "A little Bonnie and Clyde," he joked. Eli and Blair showed up at the station. She wanted to know if Todd had heard from Starr. "Where is she?" Todd asked. John learned that Starr was also missing. If Cole doesn't appear soon, he'll be accused of jumping bail. Todd said he had a meeting planned with Starr to pick up her new car. He (and Eli) were pretty sure she'd keep that appointment.

Hannah and Cole stood outside the cabin. Cole entered the cabin and Starr wasn't there. Cole wondered why Hannah had dragged him to Delaware in the first place. Cole headed out to the diner to ask if anyone had seen Starr or James. We learned that the cabin belonged to Hannah's grandfather. Hannah took out Starr's diploma and said (to herself) that she'd leave evidence so it appeared that Starr had been there. Cole returned with news that no one had seen Starr. Hannah thought they should sleep for an hour or two. Cole would take the bed. Hannah would be on the couch. Cole came out with the diploma and a condom wrapper. He was now convinced that Starr had been there with James. Hannah pretended to be sorry about the situation and was compassionate. Cole blamed himself as he had pushed Starr away. Hannah smiled to herself as she hugged Cole. Cole wanted to go for a walk alone. Hannah apologized for having told Cole all that stuff about Starr and James. Cole is glad she did and left. Hannah picked up her phone and finally got a signal. She called Ford and told him she heard he's been talking about her.

James woke Starr up. "I think Bull found us," he said frantically. James grabbed a poker from the fireplace. James wanted Starr to come to the window and look at the family of deer that were outside. It wasn't Bull after all. James called Bull to assure him that he'd have his money soon. A towel clad James walked in on Starr just wearing a bra. They started talking about fathers. Starr headed upstairs to change. "And I am going to lock the door," she added. Now dressed, James heard footsteps outside the door. He promptly knocked out the intruder. Starr was horrified to see that it was David.

Thursday

James knocked out David with a baseball bat. After Starr determined that he was alive, she and James left to get money for her new car. At the car dealership, as the salesman fetched the paperwork, James expressed surprise that Starr would be driving an SUV. Joking! When Starr demanded her money back, the salesman wanted to call Todd. Starr threatened to tell her dad about what was going on at "his dealership." "Do I get my money or not?" she asked sternly, as James prepared to steal the vehicle.

As Charlie and Dorian began work at LaBoulaie, Viki decided to head up to the cabin. Anxious to spend time with his wife, Charlie asked Dorian to cut down on the small talk with Henderson. When Dorian got a text that Henderson was running about three hours late, Charlie accused her of making Henderson up and stormed out.

Charlie arrived at Viki's cabin to find an unconscious David on the floor. Viki and Dorian followed, and Viki wondered who did hit David. The four of them started arguing. Viki wanted to know how Charlie got there before she did, and why Dorian was there. "Liar, liar, pants on fire," Dorian said. Viki checked David's head for blood and found a bump. Though Dorian continued to maintain that they really did have a meeting, Charlie accused her of ruining his date with Viki. Dorian got Henderson on the phone. "Dorian was telling the truth," Charlie had to admit. Dorian demanded an apology. She and Charlie left, leaving David and Viki to enjoy the picnic.

At the club, Darren asked Destiny for some fries. Nate, also working at the club, flirted with Dani. Moments later, Matthew walked in on their kiss and called Nate a cabana boy. After Nate left to continue working, Dani asked Matthew not to take out his anger Nate. Matthew went into the cabana to change, distressed by the encounter, and Matthew gave Nate a hard time. Darren told Matthew about the money Nate and Dani had.

Bull stole a club member's pass to gain entrance, and ran in Destiny and Dani. Thrilled to learn that Dani was Starr's half sister, he gave Dani Starr's phone. Dani told Destiny that Matthew was losing it. "He's acting like King Matthew," she complained, admitting that Matthew had caught her kissing Nate. Matthew overheard Bull talking about lost money and said he might have some information for him.

Hannah jumped off her phone call with Ford when Cole returned to the cabin. Reminding him that he wasn't supposed to be crossing state lines, Hannah grabbed Cole and said didn't want him to return to Llanview. Cole insisted on waiting for Starr. Hannah refused to leave, because Cole "needed a friend." Cole wondered if he could recover from Starr cheating...then started kissing Hannah.

On a picnic with Cristian, Layla tried to explain that her mom might not like the fact that they're engaged. Rex and Gigi arrived in the park and ran into Layla and Cristian, who were now naked under a blanket. After Layla and Cristian got dressed, the four of them had a picnic.

Friday

While Todd and Blair grilled John about the PD's inability to track Hannah, Cole was lured into a kiss with the brunette schemer. Todd explained the great lengths he'd gone to in an effort to find Hannah and Starr, who hadn't been seen in days. At the Delaware beach house, Cole pushed Hannah onto the bed. Hannah was an eager participant and helped Cole strip down. Things got hot and heavy, but when Cole spotted the condom wrapper and thought back to Starr, he couldn't go through with it. Hannah wondered if Cole cared about her or just wanted to sleep with her to get back at Starr. Cole insisted that he cares for Hannah because she's been nothing but a trusted friend to him. Hannah admitted that she'd started out as Cole's friend but her feelings have developed into something more.

Gigi and Rex broke from their picnic with Layla and Cristian to make out, until Rex spotted the metal briefcase and jumped right over to see what was inside. Meanwhile, Cristian pressed Layla about why she's in no hurry to tell her mom about their engagement. "Let's elope," Cris suggested. While she understood where he was coming from, Layla claimed she wants a big wedding and agreed they'd better get on the road to see her mom. Rex returned with the case and opened it in front of everyone, only to find a business card inside that read "Ford's Body Shop." Rex wondered if this had something to do with Robert Ford, a.k.a. Ford. After Layla and Cristian departed for Maryland, Rex remained focused on the empty case, which bored Gigi. She headed to the quarry for a swim, and managed to get his attention by leaving her bikini top behind her.

At the car dealership, James resorted to a Plan B: Steal an SUV and get money for parts. Bull continued to wander around the country club on his cell phone and assured his boss that he'd get the money and the kid. An eavesdropping Matthew interrupted to tell Bull he thinks he knows who's got the $50,000. When he got the sense that Bull might be trouble, however, he hesitated to point Bull in Nate's direction ... until he spied Dani and Nate's public display of affection. Blair and Todd headed to the dealership, where they were supposed to meet Starr, and learned that she'd just been there and demanded cash for her car, then stole one when he wouldn't give it to her. Blair and Todd were really thrown when they heard that Starr was there with a boy, and he wasn't Cole. Todd offered to pay for the car and strongarmed the salesman into not calling the cops.

At the beach house, Hannah swayed Cole into taking "a nap" with her. When they went to lie down, Cole couldn't seem to fall asleep. James phoned Bull to set up an appointment, while the thug held Nate at gunpoint in a cabana.
