One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week Of June 23, 2008

Monday

Dorian was horrified to catch the newlywed Cramer-Vickers (Addie and David)
smooching in the kitchen. Dorian looked heavenward and told whoever was up there that they had succeeded in torturing her. David and Addie gushed over their
wedding photos. David announced that they'd be living at La Boulaie. "I
think not," Dorian said as she chopped up an apple. Dr. Bonner paid an
impromptu visit and Dorian announced that he was there "to take your meal
ticket back to St. Ann's." Dorian promised to have Addie's marriage
annulled. Dr. Bonner felt he had to do an evaluation. David refused to leave
Addie's side. David told Dorian that "Addie was not his personal ATM
machine." "You only married Addie to get back at me," Dorian screamed.
"She's the exact opposite of you," David told Dorian. Dr. Bonner said that
Addie had passed the short test. "I see absolutely no reason for Addie to be
recommitted," he told a wide-eyed Dorian. In fact, Dr. Bonner suggested that
Dorian seek treatment for her paranoia. Addie and David made plans to go
sports car shopping.

Roxy thought that Charlie had a chance to win back Viki. Charlie wasn't so
sure. "Why would she ever trust me again," he asked as he rattled off all
the lies he had told Viki. Roxy offered to speak to her on his behalf.
Jared joined his father in the foyer, hoping for some coffee. Charlie was
glad to have his son back in his life and hoped to be there for him in the
future. They toasted their morning joe to "no more guilt."

Clint didn't know how he would explain Natalie's deal (that kept Jared out
of prison) to Jessica. Clint gave Nora a big hug before heading over to pick
up Jessica and Viki for Nash's funeral.

Clint asked Viki to keep the front page of the Sun from Jessica. Jessica,
looking like hell, came down and asked where her daughter was on "the day I
have to bury the love of my life." Viki promised to help Jessica get through
the day. Jessica sobbed about how much she misses Nash and broke down when
she said little Bree had said "I love you" for the first time to her that
morning. Jessica was glad that Jared would be in prison for the rest of his
life and that Natalie wouldn't be able to be with the man she loves either.
Viki bit her tongue knowing that Jared would not be in jail. Jessica
continued to berate her sister. "I wouldn't put anything past that selfish
little bitch," she said. Viki did her best to calm Jessica down and pleaded
with her to bury Nash with the respect and love he deserves.

Clint told Jessica that he and Bo were not pressing charges against Jared.
"How could you do that to me," she said and started to cry again. Clint was
forced to explain that Natalie made Bo and Clint cut a deal to ensure
Jared's freedom. Jessica was stunned. Clint suggested they try to keep the
focus on Nash on this day. Jessica wept in Viki's arms. Clint asked Viki
what happened with Charlie. "There is no me and Charlie," she said
definitively.

Bo explained why he couldn't tell Lindsay who the true Buchanan son really
was. Lindsay was bent out of shape because Nora knows the secret and Bo
refuses to tell her. Bo explained that no one knows. After some thought,
Lindsay agreed that it was none of her business.

Lindsay read a note from RJ, who said it was best to put some distance
between them. He was going to Chicago. RJ thanked her for being so good with
Jamie and wished her well. "Your secret is safe with me," he promised.

Lindsay began to burn RJ's letter but stopped when Bo walked in. He tried to
get her to open up but she wouldn't. Bo thanked Lindsay for helping Clint
regain his company. "I do trust you," Bo said, and proceeded to tell Lindsay
that David Vickers was Asa's long lost son. Bo headed to the funeral and
told Lindsay he'd meet her there. He rushed back in and grabbed a stack of
papers, including the letter from RJ to Lindsay. Uh-oh. Lindsay said
goodbye to Will and then looked for the note. She panicked when she
realized that Nora now had that correspondence.

Bo told Nora that he had informed Lindsay about David being a Buchanan. "Why?"
Nora asked with irritation in her voice. Nora began laughing hysterically
when Bo said that Lindsay had only made "one mistake."

Tuesday

Marty grew distressed when she couldn't find the photo of her with John.
Todd said he took it for her own good. "He's a bad man," he reminded her. Marty demanded to know "who am I to him." Todd kept changing the subject but did give the photo back to Marty. He claimed that John had caused Marty's "fatal" accident. Marty couldn't believe what she was hearing. Todd gave his doctored version of what happened in Ireland. Marty asked if John killed Lee. Todd didn't confirm or deny, he just insinuated that John was involved with Lee's death. On his way out, Todd claimed that Marty was lucky that John wasn't in her life anymore. Just then, John lurked outside of Todd's new house and rang the bell. Todd answered.

Earlier, John dropped in on Blair and wanted to talk about Starr and the baby. Starr interrupted and wondered if John had seen Cole. Starr then told her mom that she was giving the baby up for adoption. A stunned Blair wondered why she hadn't discussed it with her. Starr reported that Cole didn't take her news very well. She asked John to tell her what Cole had said to him. "He thinks of it as having another shot at having a family," John relayed. However, "this is your choice, and I told him that," John said, promising to work hard to make Cole accept her decision. Starr begged John to explain that this is a hard decision for her and that she still loves Cole more than anything. Blair had mixed feelings about Starr's decision. "It's just so sad," she lamented. Blair turned to rage when John said Cole wanted to be responsible. "If he had been responsible he would have worn a condom, and we wouldn't be standing here," she snapped. Todd's lawyer dropped by and served her with divorce papers.

Cole told Nora about Starr's decision. "I begged her to change her mind,"
Cole said. Cole explained that he didn't want her to give their baby up.
Nora agreed to look into Cole's legal rights, but added that "you just can't change someone's feelings. You are fantasizing about raising this child and Starr is a lot closer to reality than you are." Nora didn't think Starr was ready to be a mom, and that Cole had tied fatherhood to "your mom and dad." She reminded him that someday he'd be a father "when the time is right, without sacrificing your whole future." Cole disagreed and added that "my mom is not around to give her opinion." Cole announced he was going to sue Starr for custody of their baby. He tried his best to convince Nora that the only family he has is this child. Nora agreed to help him but urged him to think twice. "I'm begging you to please think long and hard about what you are doing. You could lose the baby and Starr for good."

Lindsay dropped by the Buchanan estate looking for Bo, but really looking for the letter he had taken by mistake. Nigel refused to let her in. Nora entered the foyer holding the stack of papers Lindsay was eager to get her hands on. Of course, Nora wouldn't let her near the papers.

Marcie told Michael that Starr is pregnant. Michael wondered how Marcie found out. "She's sixteen," he said incredulously. "Yes — that's why when she has the baby she wants us to have it," Marcie explained. Michael couldn't believe that Marcie was actually considering adopting Starr's child. Marcie added that Todd doesn't know about Starr's pregnancy. Michael wondered how Starr would keep her pregnancy a secret from her father. He continued to ask questions and didn't give Marcie much hope that they could adopt the baby. "Starr really wants this, she wants it so much," Marcie told her husband. "She wants to give us her kid out of guilt," Michael reasoned. "We both know that this cannot happen."

Marcie bonded with a woman in the maternity ward. Marcie was happy for her, but was a little jealous. "I work here. Pediatrics," Marcie explained, adding that she loved children. Starr saw Marcie outside the nursery and the two exchanged glances. Starr asked why Marcie thought adopting her baby "was so crazy." Blair joined the conversation and they both pretended that Marcie doesn't know Starr is pregnant.

Wednesday

John paid Todd a visit, and immediately grabbed Marty's bottle of pills out of Todd's hands. Todd claimed that they were his. John asked about the "woman in the penthouse." Todd just laughed. John demanded answers. "Who is the woman and what have you done with her?" he asked. Todd looked blank, then started screaming loud enough so Marty would hear. "Can't you hear I'm in mourning?" he yelled. Todd brought Marty her medication. He assured her that John didn't know she was alive. "Truth is, he seems happier that way," Todd explained. He added that John hates him. "Is that why you are taking care of me?" she asked. Todd continued to dodge the truth. He headed out to the funeral and lied to Marty when she asked if it was Lee's. When Todd left the house, John sneaked in and crept up the stairs.

Antonio and Talia entered her apartment and found that it had been turned upside down. Antonio thought this had something to do with Sarah and "that woman."

Cris and Sarah walked Tina's dog for her. Cris blamed Sarah's recent run-in with a gun-toting person (that would be Jonas) on Tina. Sarah insisted they stop fighting. She picked up a call from Talia, and promptly lied that she was just there with Cris. "I know all about the trouble that follows you around," Cris told Tina. Sarah interrupted them with news that someone had just broken into her apartment. "You need to come clean now," Cris demanded of Tina. She showed them the Mendorra royal jewels and said that Jonas, the man with the gun in the park, was the faux ambassador to Mendorra and he was looking for the jewels. Tina explained she was now a princess. Cris and Sarah couldn't believe their ears. Cris made it clear that Tina wasn't back in Llanview for Sarah — "it was for those jewels." Tina explained how she met the prince of Mendorra. "And you didn't tell anyone?" Sarah said sadly. Tina explained that this bogus ambassador was behind the death of "four innocent people." Tina begged Cris not to do anything. Cris agreed to give her "until tonight to leave town." Sarah gave Tina a goodbye hug.

Tina placed a call and asked if she could stay a bit longer for Sarah. She was delighted to learn that she could visit Llanview again soon.

Jonas placed a mysterious call. "Congratulations; you'll have everything you want very soon," he said. Jonas entered Talia/Sarah/Layla's apartment and made it clear that he knew everything about Talia. The cop threatened to shoot him.
Jonas shut the door, and then shut down the computer Talia had been using to research him. Later, Jonas cornered Tina in Angel Square and asked what she was doing "in a place like this."

Rex saw Brody, Gigi and Shane sitting in a booth at the diner. Rex awkwardly introduced himself to Brody, then sat down and joined them. Shane said he was sorry about Adriana. Brody put his arm around Shane. "He moved in," Shane gushed. Rex looked unhappy, even a bit jealous of this happy scene. He told Shane he was a pretty lucky guy because he had his dad around. Shane invited Rex to come over and play video games. Brody and Gigi started to argue.
Brody admitted he didn't want to leave. "I dig that kid," he admitted. "He likes you too," Gigi added. Shane smiled when he saw his "parents" touching hands.

Jared and Natalie started to look for apartments but Natalie really wanted to be at Nash's funeral. They told Roxy they weren't going to the funeral. Roxy showed them a big bottle of Nash's wine. "The last of Nash," she quipped. Rex walked by the three of them. Roxy wanted to walk with him to Nash's funeral. "I have nothing to say to you," Rex said, as he continued on to the funeral. Rex didn't want to talk to Jared or Natalie either, still angry at the whole "Charlie-is-my-dad" debacle.

At the funeral home, Jessica told Clint and Viki that she "couldn't do this." Clint promised his daughter that they'd be with her "every step of the way." Jessica wanted some moments alone in the church. Viki assured Jessica that she can get through this. "How am I supposed to bury the love of my life?" she sobbed. "Life goes on," Viki reasoned, "whether we want it to or not." Jessica dried her tears as the church filled with family and friends. Jessica and Viki walked behind the coffin as it entered the church.

At the funeral, Sarah sang the song she had written for Nash and began to cry, as did Jessica. Todd slipped into the back row. Natalie and Jared hovered in the foyer and listened through the door. Clint stood up and said some beautiful things about "the man who loved my daughter." Jessica smiled through her tears. Viki was up next, then Bo, Roxy and finally Jessica. When Roxy opened the door to leave the church, Jared and Natalie almost fell into the aisle. Jessica stopped and stared at them.

Thursday

After they were found listening in to the ceremony, Jessica invited Jared and Natalie into Nash's funeral and asked them to sit in the front row. "We wouldn't be here if it weren't for you two. Nash would be alive," Jessica spat. Awkward. Clint thought they should leave. Natalie tried to explain that she wanted to pay her respects. It turned into a big scene with Viki trying to calm Jessica down, but Jessica was determined to keep them there. She thanked everyone for coming, then decided to discuss "why he died...and why you killed him," all the while staring at Natalie and Jared. Before long, Jessica was crying and screaming. "This is the best funeral I've ever been to," Todd quipped. Jessica explained to Natalie and Jared about Nash's last day with Bree. Nat listened intently and kept saying, "I'm so sorry." Jessica announced to the entire congregation that she was pregnant. "Did you wake up with Uncle Jared?" Jessica asked her sister. Then she went after her faux uncle. Viki tried to stop her, but Jess replied, "No Mama, I'm just getting started." Jared asked Jess not to embarrass herself in front of everyone. "It was an accident," he reasoned. "He is a social climber, and so are you!" she exploded at Natalie. "White trash. Murderers. Murderers!" she screamed at the pair. The congregation remained stone-faced except for Todd, who smirked through the entire scene. Clint tried his best to calm his daughter down. Jessica began crying hysterically over the coffin. Clint and Viki took her out of the church. Natalie started to cry. Jared looked very sad.

Bo admitted to Lindsay that he was miserable. Lindsay said there wasn't anything they could do about the past. "Just respect the present and hope for the best," she advised. Rex told Bo that if Charlie, Adriana and Jared had just told the truth, "none of this would have happened." Rex wasn't doing too well, either. "We're separated over stupid stuff that happened in the past," Rex said. Bo pondered those words. Lindsay re-joined them. When Rex left, Bo fell to his knees and proposed.

Viki and Clint took Jessica back to her home, the home she had with Nash.
They thought it was too early for her to go back there but Jessica wanted to stay there by herself. Clint and Viki left, unwillingly but at her request. Jessica started to cry and looked through a photo album. Viewers were treated to flashbacks of Jessica and Nash kissing and hugging and being happy. Jessica grabbed her head in pain and fell to the floor.

Jonas held a gun on Tina, who reminded him that she was the crown princess of Mendorra. "If you shoot me, you'll never find the jewels," she taunted. Jonas threatened to shoot her dog if she didn't turn the jewels over. He grabbed the pooch, and Tina agreed to give him the jewels. Jonas put the dog down. However, little David Vickers bit Jonas and ran. Tina ran, too.

Marcie asked Gigi how things were at home with Brody. "Good, surprisingly,"
Gigi admitted. Gigi showed her the trophy that Brody and Shane had won.
Marcie asked about Rex and reminded her friend that the newlyweds are now separated. Gigi remained convinced that Rex would hate her if he found out about Shame. "I love Rex," Gigi admitted again. Marcie told Gigi that she may have a chance to adopt again. Gigi encouraged her to go for it.

Marty's nurse, Janet, arrived at Todd's house. "Maybe I can help," John said. He remembered seeing Janet at the police station and tried to ask what she had been doing for Lee. Janet asked if they had found Lee's killer but refused to answer John's questions. Todd's bodyguard sent a text message reading "McBain is here" to Todd, who immediately left Nash's funeral when he read it. When he arrived back home, Janet told Todd she knew the money he had given her was all counterfeit. He promised to replace the bad bills. If he didn't, Janet said she would go to the police. John lurked outside Todd's house.

Talia called Antonio and said her apartment break-in had nothing to do with Ramsey. She asked Antonio to tell Sarah there was an insurance investigator coming to the apartment to meet with her. Sarah returned home and saw Talia. "I'm so, so sorry," Talia said as Jonas grabbed Sarah and took her hostage.

Friday

Lindsay walked off when Bo proposed to her. "That was not exactly the response I was hoping for," Bo noted as he proposed to her again. Lindsay could barely breathe. "This is the last thing I expected, especially today and here," she marveled. Bo explained that though Nash's funeral wasn't a romantic place to propose, he wanted her in his life. Bo reasoned that there were no more secrets between them. "We tried this before and we didn't make it," Lindsay argued. Bo said he hadn't planned to propose, but realized, "I don't want to be without you," adding that Nash's funeral made him realize everything can be over before you know it. Bo didn't care if Clint and Nora went ballistic. Lindsay got teary when she started to talk about her feelings for him. "I killed Spencer," Lindsay reminded him. He knew, but he wanted to focus on everything that could go right for them. Bo rattled off all the not-so-great things Lindsay had done in the past. "You have made some bad choices, but you are not a bad person," he insisted. Lindsay accepted Bo's proposal and they kissed.

Jared tried to explain to Natalie that now was not a good time to apologize to Jessica. "She's my sister and I love her," Natalie whined. Natalie wouldn't listen to Jared's words of warning. "It was an accident," she reasoned. "My lies hurt everyone," Jared replied. "Nash died as a result of what I did." Still, Natalie hoped that Jessica would forgive her eventually. Jared managed to convince her not to go to Jessica yet, and he didn't think Jessica would ever forgive him. Just then, Tina's dog ran into the square and Natalie picked him up. She was surprised to see his dog tag read, "David Vickers." Natalie and Jared kissed. "We're all we have left," he said.

Jessica answered her phone; it was Viki. Jess asked about Bree and assured her mom that she was fine. She hung up, looked at herself in the mirror and began wiping her face with a tissue. She took off her earrings and started to undress as she took down her hair. She threw a paperweight at the mirror and it cracked. Next thing we saw, Tess (you read that right) was opening Nash's coffin. "Hey baby, I'm here. It's me, Tess," she purred.

Clint wondered to Nora what Natalie was thinking when she and Jared showed up at the church. Nora thought that Jessica needed to get all that rage off her chest. "Maybe," Clint said. It was hard for him to not look at Natalie and think of what she did that caused all this tragedy. Nora tried to get Clint to open up. "I still have so much to be thankful for...I love you," he declared, as the two started to kiss.

Talia was horrified to see Jonas knock Sarah out and then blame Talia for it.
"I'm not the one who chloroformed Sarah," Talia countered. Jonas laughed and assured her she made the right choice by luring her friend into the setup. Antonio called Talia, but Jonas wouldn't let her answer her cell phone. Antonio and Cris entered Sarah and Talia's apartment, but found no sign of the women. "What the hell is going on?" Antonio said. "I think it's time I told you everything," Cris said, as he began to explain that Tina was in town. Antonio exploded when he realized Tina was connected to a multiple homicide. The brothers left and Jonas dragged Talia back into her apartment. At the end of the episode, Jonas made it clear that he was taking Talia somewhere to "see him again."

Antonio and Cristian were surprised to see Carlotta walking around. Carlotta hadn't sprained her ankle or fallen — which meant that Talia had lied to Antonio. They realized Talia was trying to stop them from going somewhere else. Neither Sarah nor Talia answered their boyfriend's calls.

Tina returned to Cristian's studio and was relieved to find the jewels under her bed. She held a drawing of Sarah and was happy to remember that Sarah was safe in church. (Of course, she's no longer safe or in church.) Tina called someone; she was frantic to find doggie David Vickers. Antonio and Cristian interrupted her call. Antonio made it clear he now knew everything. They reported that Sarah was missing. Antonio got a call on Talia's phone from Jonas. "What are you doing with him?" Antonio asked Talia frantically. Talia began to apologize but Jonas grabbed the phone. "Talia and Sarah are with me," Jonas said. Antonio told Tina that Jonas had both of them and he "didn't say what he plans to do with them."
