OLTL Week of June 7, 2010
Monday
A frazzled Bo freaked out when he realized they didn't have a minister. He's an ordained Scientology minster, David volunteered, and could perform a legal ceremony. He was also ordained online in London, David added helpfully. Bo thought about it and said okay. David was thrilled.
When the sun finally came out, Viki happily pointed out that Nora had experienced many little miracles that day. Nora needed some convincing
Blair sang as wedding party walked down the aisle. Nora and Bo gushed over the fact that they were in the same outfits they'd worn their first go-round.
David came out in a "Technicolor dream coat." Stick to the ceremony, growled Bo. "No worries," David smiled. Clint charged into the wedding and made it clear he wanted to shoot David for breaking up his marriage to Kimberly. "You don't want to do this," Viki pleaded. "This is your brother's wedding." Clint apologized for spoiling the wedding, and Bo and Nora begged him to stay. "Only if you want to," Nora added. Clint took a seat between his daughters. Jessica and Natalie read from the bible while Rex, Gigi and the other couples listened intently.
Nora and Bo recited their own vows. "The big risk in life is living without you," Nora said to her new husband. "I am in exactly the spot I am supposed to be," Bo added. David pronounced them husband and wife and the couple kissed. The audience cheered and applauded the newlyweds. Bo crushed the glass. "Mazel Tov," David said as the congregation stood again and applauded.
Alone with Matthew, Dani admitter, "I'm not ready to have a boyfriend." Matthew wanted to know what this was really about, and suggested she wanted to be with Nate. Dani denied it. "Then why did you kiss him?" he pressed. Dani didn't know what she felt and begged him to listen. "No, I can't," he said, and headed to the reception.
Viki welcomed everyone to the reception and presented "for the second time, Mr. and Mrs. Bo Buchanan." Bo and Nora began boogying to a disco tune. When Nora wondered where Matthew was, David insinuated that Matthew was sowing his wild oats. Bo suggested that David quit while he was ahead. David was eager give the best man's toast in place of the missing Matthew, but Bo gently suggested stepping aside for Rex. In a touching toast, Rex said that he could stop looking for his real parents because Bo was "the only dad I'd ever need." Bo and Rex hugged, but David rated the speech just a 7.5. With a hug, Bo thanked David for letting Rex do the honors.
Brody and Natalie agonized over whether to tell John and Jess that they slept together. Brody didn't think they should tell them anything. "Are you going to be okay with this?" Brody asked her. They agreed it would be their secret. When Jessica and John approached and asked what they were up to. Natalie lied that they were keeping an eye on Clint. Jessica told her sister that Clint had gone home.
Bride and groom cut the cake and Destiny caught the bouquet. Darren snatched the garter and placed it on Destiny's leg as Shaun watched carefully.
Matthew finally arrived at the reception and told Destiny that Dani had dumped him. Bo and Nora found their son and asked him if he was alright. Matthew apologized for missing out on the toast, then gave a toast to the "Best Parents in the World. I'm really glad you guys got back together," Matthew said. Family hug.
David played interference and distracted Shaun while Kelly and Reed headed out. Eli and Blair went upstairs as well. Brody had a surprise for Jessica and they left. Natalie and John talked about the day's drama, then kissed and left.
Tuesday
Bo and Nora danced alone at their reception. "Just you and me," Bo said as he kissed his bride. Then they realized they were starving. Fortunately, John and Natalie sent them hamburgers and fries from Rodis. (Bo cut her food for Nora because she was worried about her tooth.) Lindsay sent over something for the happy couple, too -- a present a Bo&Nora4ever license plate, straight from Statesville.
John and Natalie were alone at Rodi's as he read her letter aloud to her. Natalie wondered if he'd still be with Marty if she hadn't written the letter. "You did the right thing...maybe we just belong together," John said. Natalie explained that her heart broke the night he didn't show up at Rodi's. A game of pool segued into sex on the pool table
Brody set up a romantic place on the roof of the Angel Square Hotel where he and Jessica roasted marshmallows. Jessica apologized for everything she had put Brody through over the past few months. "You are so good to me," she gushed. "I love you," he replied, then reminded her that they weren't like other people because they met at St. Ann's. "You understand what I went through. You are one of the few people on this planet I trust," he added, and apologized for having pushed her at the prom. "It was a tough night. I kind of hit bottom and I thought I had lost you for good," he confessed. He brought her back, Jess replied. Brody promised her he'd always be there for her and Bree. "I'm never letting you go," he vowed.
Blair and Eli were making out outside his hotel room and ran into Kelly and Reed in the hall. Kelly claimed she and Reed were only having a nightcap. Shaun tracked down Kelly and Reed and told her he wasn't letting her out of his sight, then agreed to wait outside the door. He didn't invite Kelly up just for a nightcap, Reed confessed, but Kelly thought it was too early for them to sleep together. They started dancing and Kelly admitted she had always been attracted to him but it was "too much too soon."
Eli asked Blair about the "truce with your cousin." Blair said she was smarter, better looking and "way more talented" than Kelly. Did the wedding make her think about marriage? Eli asked, admitting he had never really considered it. "I never felt the need, but I do now. You, Blair. It feels right," he said. "Are you proposing to me?" she asked. "If I were proposing, you'd know it," Eli assured her. When Blair said she didn't want to deprive him of the agonies of marriage, Eli reminded her that he wasn't Todd. Blair said she'd think about it in the future. He didn't want to lose her, said Eli, and the two started kissing passionately.
Rex took Gigi home and they started to kiss. (Shane was at a sleepover.) They were on the verge of making love when Rex stopped. "Are we sure we want to do this?" he hesitated. "Can we be honest?" Gigi asked. "There's something going on here and there has been for months," she said. The two started talking about their relationship and agreed they had been great since Stacy and Kim had left the picture. "I want you back," Rex said, but agreed with Gigi that he was afraid. "I think we need to start over, like we just met," Rex suggested, and asked Gigi out on a date. He'd get back to her tomorrow with the date information, Rex promised. After a big kiss, he left.
Wednesday
On a picnic in the park with Hope, Starr got teary about Cole. A stranger approached Starr and asked her if she was alright, then offered her some tissues. He was surprised to learn that she was the baby's mom. "My boyfriend is in jail," Starr explained. The stranger introduced himself as James, then said he had to leave to visit someone in ICU. Starr noted sadly that her boyfriend didn't want her to visit him in jail. Hannah spied on Starr talking to James in the park and snapped their picture. After Starr thanked James for being so nice to her, James left, with Hannah tailing him.
As Markko and Cole commiserated about life behind bars, Cole apologized for Markko's predicament, blaming himself since he had known about Langston and Ford. Cole explained that Starr had begged him not to say anything "because it was over." "But it wasn't," a hurt Markko replied, adding, "Everybody knew what was going on except me." "You deserved to know," Cole said humbly. "I knew she wanted something else," Markko confessed. Cole apologized for not having told him, then talked about his recent fights with Starr. Markko assured Cole that he and Starr would make it, but Cole wasn't so sure. Markko said he couldn't forget the image of Langston with Ford and admitted he had gone back to Ford's apartment.
Dorian was glad the police weren't sniffing around Langston anymore. Disgusted with her behavior, Langston rushed off to school to avoid Dorian. Mrs. Rivera (Aurelia) arrived on Dorian's doorstep and slapped Dorian across the face. "You should be ashamed," she said, calling Langston a "lying slut." As the women started to argue about Langston and Markko, Dorian put up her dukes, ready to fight back. Charlie showed up with some blueprints and Aurelia exited. Dorian confirmed that Markko was in jail for attempted murder. Dorian wanted Charlie to stay and show her the schematics. She wondered if Markko's mom might have been right; Charlie tried to cheer her up.
As John studied the evidence in his office, Tea met Markko's dad Ernesto at the police precinct. Tea demanded that the police release Markko, but John was pretty sure they'd make probable cause; they had Markko's bloody sneaker. Tea wondered why he wasn't looking at any other suspects. "Markko is not a killer," she said, hinting that she might go the "Hispanic kid gets locked up" route. When John accused her of wanting to start a culture war, Tea reminded him that she has good friend in the press.
Markko asked his parents if he could come home again. He'd be behind bars until his arraignment, Tea informed him. Markko apologized to his parents for putting them through this but denied trying to kill Ford. Langston rang into Markko's parents at the station and Aurelia started on a verbal attack. Tea rushed them away. Langston told John she needed to tell him something: "I'm the one who tried to kill Ford."
Hannah entered Ford's hospital room and pointed out that he couldn't humiliate her anymore. "You look horrible, by the way," she said, adding that she'd found the perfect way to get over him and wasn't at all sorry that he might not make it. When Hannah ran into Langston as she left Ford's room, Langston assured Hannah that she had absolutely no chance with Cole. "You will fail, Hannah," Langston added as she went into Ford's room. Langston was stunned to see the condition Ford was in, and asked him if he had ever cared about her.
Todd was not impressed with what the detective turned up about Hannah —just her transcript and Girl Scouts. Todd wanted proof of Hannah's mental instability. Marty knocked on Todd's door wanting to talk to him about his case, and asked Todd once and for all if he pushed her. "I didn't push you down the stairs Marty but I know who did," Todd replied, handing Marty his file on Hannah. He didn't think that Marty was Hannah's only victim, Todd added. When Marty suggested Todd's theory was extreme, he said Marty should shrink her.
When Hannah ran into Marty in the hospital, Marty made it clear that she knew about Hannah's past with Ford. Marty suggested that Hannah come see her as a patient, but Hannah didn't see the need. "I worked things out for myself," Hannah said confidently. Marty asked Hannah how she'd managed to get over Ford — was it by lashing out? "Did you try to kill Ford? Did you try to kill me?" Marty asked a stunned Hannah.
Todd's PI told him that Hannah was seen heading to Ford's room.
James showed up at Ford's bedside and told the nurse that he was Ford's brother.
Thursday
Viki found David in her garden doing exercises in the nude. Viki said she had work to do. "Why work when we can loaf?" David asked, then showed Viki the photo of Charlie and Dorian in The Sun. Viki explained that Charlie and Dorian were working together on a project and that Charlie loves her. Charlie doesn't deserve Viki, sniffed David.
Dani ran into Starr in the park and told her big sister that she and Matthew had broken up after Matthew said the "L" word, and she kissed Nate. She and Matthew would ever be friends again, lamented Dani.
When Jack snapped a photo of Dorian touching Charlie's face for his "big book of blackmail," Charlie and Dorian insisted that they weren't kissing. Dorian demanded Jack hand over the camera, but Jack wanted another bike. Dorian tried to counter threat but Todd barged in. "Wait til Blair hears about this," Dorian fumed, adding added that Todd will soon be in Statesville. "My dad is innocent," Jack screamed. No blackmail was allowed in their house, Dorian declared. Todd deleted the photo and told his son he's a little young to be dealing with Dorian. Charlie wondered whether, had Jack not walked in, Dorian would have kissed him. He's married, Dorian reminded him. The two of them had gone through hell looking for Mitch and that might have brought them closer, Dorian explained. Charlie said he knew someone Dorian might like to meet. "I am not on the market," she insisted, and Charlie apologized for overstepping. Charlie told a surprised Dorian that David had officiated at Bo and Nora's wedding. Dorian figured Viki and David are just hanging out together to bother Dorian.
Todd sent the photo Jack had taken to Viki's phone. Furious, Viki showed the photo to David, then presented David will all the pictures and clippings she had of Charlie and Dorian. Determined to let it go, Viki insisted that she trusts Charlie. David told Viki that their bond drives Dorian bananas, then suggested they work on Viki's "flow" to assist Viki in achieving serenity. David helped Viki breath calmly. "Oh David," she moaned as Dorian and Charlie walked in on them.
Todd and Jack showed up in the park, where Todd assured Starr that Hannah "would get hers." Todd informed Starr that he had shared his suspicions about Hannah with Marty, and that he was convinced Hannah attacked Ford. Marty called Todd and told him that Hannah is terrified of him. "Who isn't?" he shrugged.
After James identified himself as James Ford, Robert's brother, the nurse explained "Bobby's" injuries. As James was talking to his unconscious brother, Ford finally opened his eyes.
When Hannah wondered if Marty was asking her if she was a murderer, Marty pointed out that Ford had made Hannah angry. "Why would I want to hurt you?" Hannah yelled, suggesting tthat Marty was crazy to think that of her. She was just visiting Ford because she couldn't end it cold turkey, Hannah explained... and wondered if Marty was really over Todd. Then she raced to Cole's cell and told him about Marty's accusations.
Markko insisted to his parents that he did not beat up Ford, but admitted the bloody footprints at the scene of the crime did belong to him. He had gone back to Ford's after he punched him the first time, Markko explained. "Did you see who did it?" Markko's mom asked. "It's complicated," Markko said. After his parents went off to find Tea, Cole asked Markko was was really going on.
Langston told John that she was guilty and turning herself in, waiving her right to counsel. "I need to confess," she insisted. "Tell me everything you know," John asked. Langston said that she had gone back to Ford's apartment and that the two had argued. "I kept hitting him until he wasn't moving anymore," she explained. "Then I ran home." Claiming she couldn't live with Markko being arrested for a crime she had committed, Langston practically begged John to arrest her. John had Langston brought to an interview room.
When Markko was delivered to John's office, John told Markko that he was on his side. "You are?" Markko asked incredulously. "There is something telling me that you are innocent," John explained, and asked Markko to think about working with him --if so, he could go home today. "I could explain about the shoes," Markko said, and confessed to returning to Ford's room. But when he got there, Ford appeared to be dead. That's where Markko got his hands and shoes bloodied and he panicked. But he didn't do it, Markko swore. John took Markko in to watch Langston sign a confession.
Friday
Greg told Téa there was no change in the size of her tumor, but there was still a chance he could shrink it. Téa said she wouldn't stop treatment, but admitted she hadn't told Dani about her diagnosis yet.
Todd caught Téa taking some pills. "What the hell is the matter with you?" he asked. Téa lied that she had a migraine. "I get one every time I have to defend you," she added as she walked off. Todd snuck into Greg's office and pulled out Téa's file.
In the parking garage, Starr told Todd she got more support from a total stranger than she had from her own father. She just wants to focus on her graduation and her daughter, said Starr. He wants to keep the focus on himself, Todd replied, then talked about Starr's graduation gift before taking off. Starr wanted to leave, too, but her car wouldn't start.
Dorian and Charlie walked in on David and Viki doing breathing exercises. "This is so not what it looks like," Viki said to a suspicious Dorian. Viki showed them the photo that Jack had taken, and Todd had sent, of Dorian and Charlie nearly kissing. Dorian tried to explain, but Viki reminded Dorian that Charlie was her husband "and you cannot have him." Then she offered David a job, infuriating Dorian.
Jessica thanked Brody for giving her her life back, then found Kelly at the Sun office, were Kelly said she was working on a story about Ford's beating. Kelly admitted liking Reed a little bit. Jessica said she and Brody picked up right after they left off. When Kelly asked for the details about how her memory came back, Jessica explained she'd reverted to being a teen because Mitch wanted to have sex with her. "He is so sick," Kelly muttered. Staring at the cover of the Sun, Jessica recalled having sex with Ford. She began to tell Kelly about the night she went to Ford's but didn't get far. "You have a happy ending to your story," Kelly assured her. Kelly and Todd gave Jessica her job back, then Kelly told Jessica that Markko had been released. "The person who tried to kill Ford is still out there," Kelly said. "I think I know who did it," responded a quivering Jess.
Ford opened his eyes to see his brother James by his side. "Somebody tried to kill you," James explained. Ford didn't remember who hit him. Greg came in to take his vitals, and made sure someone alerted John to the fact that Ford was awake. Ford wondered where James went.
A strange man showed a photo of James to the nurse and asked if he had seen him. James made a quick escape from the hospital and ran into Starr in the garage. Starr begged him to call a mechanic. James said he'd fix the car himself, clearly unwilling to return to the hospital. After James repaired her car, he saw saw the strange man walk into the garage. James ordered Starr to get in the car as Hope started to cry. He peeled out of the garage, barely missing the strange man.
Markko and John walked in on Langston signing her confession. "I can't let you pay for something I did," she told a stunned Markko. Markko listened as Langston retold the story, but John noted that the details didn't track with the evidence. He and Brody had to admit Markko didn't appear guilty, either. John got the call that Ford woke up. At the hospital, John entered Ford's room and said he had a few questions for him.
Markko was released from prison. "We have nothing more to say to each other. We're done," Markko told Langston as he left the precinct.
