Monday
Nora informed Antonio and Carlotta that it isn't a mistake that their finances were cut off. She explained that the victims of the Santi family had filed a restitution lawsuit and had previously been too afraid to come forward. She handed him the file and said it would shed some light on the matter. Antonio looked through the file and was shocked to see what the Santis were really capable of. "I never even wanted the Santi money. I hated everything they stood for," lamented Antonio, who worried about how this would affect Cristian and Carlotta ... and Jamie, whose trust fund would now be jeopardized. Nevertheless, he expressed his reluctance to fight the suing families. Talia and Sarah lamented to one another that they wished there was something they could do. Meanwhile, Cristian and Carlotta assured Antonio that they would be fine and would just work extra hard to stay afloat. Antonio declared that he would do anything to keep his job on the police force and to care for his daughter.
Blair checked on a sleeping Starr, who was dreaming of her romantic night with Cole and the subsequent beating that Todd gave him. Downstairs, Todd made some final calls regarding the move to Hawaii and Blair tried once again to dissuade him from moving the family. Starr woke up to find that her phone was dead even though it had been plugged into its charger. Blair continued to try to talk sense into Todd, who explained that what he saw in that bedroom was branded in his psyche. Todd couldn't care less about what he did to Cole and argued that it was totally warranted. Blair refused to let Todd leave the room unless he agreed to let the family stay put. Blair even said he could take his son Sam but she, Jack and Starr wouldn't be going anywhere. She explained that Starr is truly in love for the first time. Todd didn't want to hear it.
At the PD, Ramsey summoned John to his office and asked if John had been in a fight with Todd. John lied that he hadn't, so Ramsey asked why John had been nosing into Ramsey's past. The commish explained that he got tired of being on the go all the time and just wanted to settle somewhere. "I'm an open book," Ramsey declared. Later, Nora arrived at Ramsey's office to hear that the mayor has a real problem with her inability to get a conviction. Nora suspected that this concern was really Ramsey's and not coming from Mayor Lowell. He pointed out that Cole tried to shoot him and she let the kid get away with it. "Miles refused to press charges," Nora reminded him. She left his office peeved by Ramsey's warning.
Markko ran into a still-bruised Cole at the diner and said he knows Todd beat him up. Cole explained that Todd jumped to the conclusion that Starr was raped and that's why he beat up Cole. Nevertheless, Cole was determined to see Starr, who had just found that her landline was dead and that her Internet was down. "What? DAD!" she cried.
Dorian cooked breakfast for Langston, but the teen wasn't hungry. Dorian assured a worried Langston that she did nothing wrong. Langston called Cole and warned him against trying to contact Starr. Cole was about to run out of the diner when John stopped him and made him explain what happened the night before. Meanwhile, Dorian went to see Starr and suggested it might be in her best interest to take a break from Cole. Starr cried about how she needed to talk to Cole right away and claimed that nothing happened the night before. Dorian was relieved to hear that and said Starr was too young to be "physically intimate." Starr was shocked to hear Dorian side with Todd, but Dorian argued that Starr's happiness is her only concern. Meanwhile, Langston went to the diner to see Markko, who was concerned about Langston living in the same house as Todd.
Blair went to Starr's room and told her that she was able to talk Todd out of moving the family to Hawaii. Starr was overjoyed and wanted to tell Cole right away. Jack, however, was disappointed to hear the news and started to cry. Starr thanked Todd for reversing his decision and promised to work things out, "even after everything that happened with Cole." Todd's face practically turned to stone as he said, "Don't ever say that name again." He then explained that they would stay in Llanview on one condition: that she stay away from Cole. He also reminded her that Cole shot Miles and if Cole doesn't steer clear of Starr, Todd will send her boyfriend to prison. Meanwhile, Dorian was thrilled to hear that Blair and the kids were staying in town, but didn't want Todd living in her house. Blair insisted that if Todd goes, she goes, so Dorian agreed to give Todd one more chance.
Tuesday
While lunching at the Palace with Dorian and the mayor, Ramsey apologized to Dorian for the last time they ran into each other (when he searched La Boulaie with his FBI agents) and said he hopes they can "let bygones be bygones." Dorian excused herself to go bother Viki, who was dining solo, and asked if she'd been stood up. Viki assured Dorian that she and Charlie were just fine. Dorian implied that she and Charlie had gotten to know each other very well while he was living under her roof but that she resigned herself to being "just friends" once she learned Viki had him first. It suddenly occurred to Viki that Dorian and Charlie would be family once their children marry. Clearly disturbed by that thought, Viki excused herself and headed home. Meanwhile, the mayor gave Ramsey a tip on John's meeting with Nora.
Cristian visited Blair and informed her about the money troubles his family is facing. Blair's ears perked up when she heard that Cristian might be selling the club. They caught up on their love lives over coffee, but Cristian noticed he'd broached a sensitive subject when he mentioned Todd. Meanwhile, Todd and Starr carried on their confrontation in the living room. Todd reminded Starr that he knows Cole shot Miles and could use that information to send Cole to jail. Starr claimed it was an accident and then had to backtrack when she realized she'd just admitted that Cole really did shoot Miles. Todd had backed her into a corner, threatening to send Cole to jail if she doesn't stay away from him. Starr pointed out that Miles didn't press charges but Todd said all the cops need is a witness to come forward. Todd informed his daughter that for the next two years, she'd be under his watch. After Starr got Todd to admit that he'd even thought about killing Cole, she had some very harsh words for her dad. Afterward, Blair intimated to Starr that Todd is dead serious about his threat regarding Cole.
Marcie and Gigi shared an awkward encounter at the diner when it was revealed that Marcie had been ignoring Gigi's calls. Marcie was afraid most people looked at her as the "monster who stole Todd's baby" and jumped to conclusions when a woman with a baby approached her. The woman explained that her son was once a student of Marcie and praised her on the job she did. She wished Marcie the best of luck and said she has adopted children, too, and understands what she went through with Tommy. Marcie was elated. After the woman left, Marcie confessed that she really missed teaching and offered to pick up Shane from school for Gigi.
At the courthouse, Nora congratulated John on his reinstatement but advised him to watch his back where Ramsey is concerned. They admitted they were both suspicious of how Ramsey got his job. Intent on pressing assault charges against John, Todd arrived but soon changed his mind when Nora pointed out that getting John kicked off the force again would only make Ramsey's life easier. Speak of the devil, Ramsey showed up and asked what Todd was doing there. Todd explained that he was just there to make sure Cole stays away from his daughter, then stalked out.
Charlie was confused to hear from Jessica that her mom and Dorian weren't really friends. Jessica explained that their rivalry began when Dorian became Viki's stepmother. When Charlie realized that Dorian had been lying to him, he headed straight to the Palace to confront her. Cristian stopped by Llanfair and confided his financial troubles to Jessica, who was concerned about Jamie's future. Jessica suggested that Cristian design the labels for Nash's new wine, and Cristian accepted despite his concerns about how Antonio might react. Jess called Nash to set up a meeting between him and Cristian. Viki returned home and asked where Charlie had gone. Jessica admitted that she might have said something to upset Charlie, who'd just arrived at the Palace and told Dorian they need to talk.
Wednesday
Cristian consoled Antonio as he worried about how the lawsuit would affect Jamie's future. Meanwhile, Jessica called Nash to tell her about Cristian accepting the design job when Nash had to suddenly get off the phone to meet
with his British business partner. Jess admitted to her mom that she offered Cristian the job without consulting Nash first. Viki assured her daughter that Nash would understand and advised her daughter to take some time for
herself. Jessica took her mom's advice and headed out for the day, and her first stop was Antonio's loft. Jamie was thrilled to see her former stepmom, while Antonio was quite surprised by the visit. Jessica apologized for
pushing him years ago to take the Santi nheritance and worried that she was partly responsible for his current dilemma. Antonio told her not to feel bad and said everything happens for a reason (in Spanish). Jessica understood,
and it was clear they weren't just talking about money. Jamie returned with her drawing and was sad to find that Jessica had already gone.
When Nash's shady business partner offered to provide more "capital" for his venture, Nash seemed slightly skeptical but was happy to have the money. After his meeting, Cristian arrived and spilled the beans that Jess asked him to design the labels. Nash was fine with it, but not all that sympathetic when Cristian brought up Antonio's financial woes. Cris was miffed, but Nash apologized and asked him to stay.
Gigi brought Natalie coffee, even though it wasn't part of her job, and laughed when she explained that it's the only thing she's experienced at. Rex came by as part of his P.I. work for BE and received his latest assignment: Investigate Charlie. Natalie just found it all a little too coincidental that Charlie happened to be Rex's dad. Rex was willing to believe it, pointing out that it was a coincidence that he ran into Gigi in Texas. After witnessing a brief exchange between Gigi and Rex, Natalie started to pick up on some lingering chemistry. Rex claimed that his friendship with Gigi is a "non-issue," then called a very chic-looking Adriana in France. He revealed that Gigi was now working at BE, thanks to him, but Adriana was more concerned with her news that she'll soon be coming
home. On his way out, Rex came across Gigi, who was struggling with the copier and got ink all over her face. When he laughed at her, she smeared some on his face. She helped him clean up, but their sexually charged moment
was interrupted by a call from Adriana, who reported that there'd be a delay in her return. Natalie, who'd witnessed the whole thing, summoned Gigi to her office and asked how long she'd known Charlie. Gigi said she had known him for a while, but didn't really know anything about his past. Natalie remained suspicious of Rex's "dad".
Jessica explained to Viki that she blabbed to Charlie about Dorian and Viki's past. Meanwhile, Charlie confronted Dorian about why she lied to him. Speaking of coincidences, Charlie pointed out how convenient it was that he found Dorian at the Buchanan ranch and was lured back to Llanview. Dorian spun of load of crap about not wanting to get between Charlie and Viki once
she learned they were dating, then called Charlie out on his own lies. Their conversation was interrupted with a call from someone French. Dorian told the person on the other line to make sure "she" stays in France a little longer. Charlie realized that Adriana is stuck in Paris because of Dorian, then put two and two together about the time Dorian's car "ran out of gas" and made him miss his lunch with Jared. Dorian confessed her hatred for Viki and that bringing Charlie down is just part of her plan to destroy Viki. She then threatened to send him and Jared to jail for fraud and warned Charlie
that he'd better make sure Gigi and Adriana's wedding doesn't happen if he knows what's good for him. Dorian smugly walked away, but was stopped by
Jared.
Marcie brought Shane to Llanfair and was nervous when Viki answered the door. She tried to run off after Shane was in the house, but Viki told her to wait. "I'm very sorry," Marcie quietly told Viki, who invited her in. Viki explained that she knows what it's like to have a child taken away from her and understands that Marcie wasn't herself when she held Viki hostage in
Texas.
Thursday
Ramsey sent John and Antonio off on a stakeout at the docks, while he asked Talia to bring him some files. When she returned with the case he requested, he instructed her to stick around until John and Antonio returned from the docks. Meanwhile, John and Antonio communicated from their positions on walkie-talkies and John suggested to Antonio that Ramsey just wanted them out there so they'd freeze to death. A young man wearing a bandana on his head came around the corner, sending John and Antonio into hiding. Another slightly shady-looking guy came arrived, and John and Antonio drew their guns. The cops searched the perpetrators, who happened to be unarmed save for a few bootleg DVDs. "You got bad taste in movies," John cracked as he looked at the stash and cuffed one guy. John and Antonio brought in the perps and noted to Talia that Ramsey sent them on that mission to waste
their time.
Bo told Lindsay and Clint that he's got an idea about who's behind BE's problems. After Lindsay excused herself, Bo asked Clint to be a little more civil to her. Asa's former associate Walter Honeycutt dropped by to field some questions about who might be after BE. Honeycutt offered a few names and remarked how proud Asa would be to see his sons working together. When Clint mentioned Ramsey's name, it rang a bell with Honeycutt, but he couldn't figure out why. Natalie came in after Honeycutt let himself out and was ordered to track down Jared, who'd been MIA all day. Meanwhile, Lindsay found Walter looking for the exit and reminded him that they'd met before. She walked him out and suggested they go to the Palace for a drink.
At the Palace, Jared stopped Dorian in her tracks with a taped recording of her blackmail threats to Charlie. The three sat down to civilly discuss what had just happened, and Charlie and Jared informed Dorian that she didn't have a leg to stand on. Dorian remarked that she was surprised to see Charlie and Jared pull something like this off together, and after she left, Charlie confessed to Jared that he was surprised but also pleased. Jessica approached their table and inquired about why they were dining together. Jared said he was just taking out the man who saved his life, then headed
back to the office, where Bo and Clint accepted his apology for being late.
Ramsey requested Dorian's presence at the Palace bar and she curiously obliged. When they sat down to a drink, he asked what she meant when she said earlier that she knew some pertinent information about certain Llanview citizens. Thinking back to what had just happened with Jared and Charlie, she backtracked and lied that he must be mistaken. When Ramsey suggested they have a lot in common, Dorian argued that that remains to be seen, then walked out. Meanwhile, Walter and Lindsay were chatting at the bar. Walter looked over and asked about the man in the corner, referring to Ramsey.
Friday
Langston met Markko at the docks, site of many a clandestine meeting, to arrange a secret plan for Cole and Starr to see each other. Markko remarked how romantic it was there, just as Cole arrived. He looked over at the site of Miles's shooting and said this was not the perfect place. When Markko was out of earshot, Langston asked if that was the place where Cole shot Miles. He admitted it was, but Langston encouraged him to wait there for Starr. Langston went off to get Starr, and Markko asked Cole what happened at the house that would make Todd so angry. Cole explained that he saw them in bed together, but claimed that night wasn't about "taking it to the next level." Cole changed the subject and asked how things were going with him and Langston. When Markko said they hadn't had sex yet, Cole was surprised and said he thought they'd already done it. Markko explained that his previous "player rep" was a major exaggeration and said it was totally cool that he and Langston are waiting.
Meanwhile, Starr was on her way out the door and came face-to-face with her new bodyguard, Shaun. Starr was furious to learn that she was being kept prisoner in her own home and told her dad as much. Blair was upset that this would affect her relationship with Starr and asked Todd what he thought he was doing; Todd explained that he was planning to press charges against Cole for shooting Miles. Blair was disgusted with his plan and said Starr would never forgive herself if she was responsible for sending Cole to prison. "Well, if she stays away from him, that won't happen," Todd warned. As a result, Blair went to visit Starr and subtly advised her to break up with Cole if she knows what's good for him. Afterward, Langston arrived to tell Starr she has a way for her to see Cole. When Langston mentioned that they would meet at Pier 27, Starr recalled her dad's threat toward Cole. Reluctant to go to the docks and have her dad find out, she began to write a breakup letter to Cole.
Natalie gave Jared a little pep talk about his work at BE and was curious when Jared noted that he "pretty much" has everything he wants. When Jared was out of the room, Rex arrived holding a brown paper bag containing a little gift for Shane. Natalie remarked that Rex had been spending an awful lot of time with Gigi and her kid. Over at Llanfair, Gigi was instructing Shane not to ever tell Rex his birthday, explaining that she doesn't want Rex (or anyone, for that matter) to shower him with gifts. A box arrived with photos of Gigi, and Shane asked if there were any of her with Shane's dad. Gigi said there weren't, just as Shane picked up a photo of her and Rex at the prom.
When Charlie returned home to Llanfair, Viki apologized for not telling him about her history with Dorian. Viki went into the kitchen and found Shane with the photo of Gigi and Rex. She seemed to notice how uncomfortable it made Gigi, and when Rex later came by to see Shane, remarked to Rex that he seems to have a special interest in his old friend's son. Charlie, meanwhile, was surprised to receive a visit from Roxy, who wanted to know why Charlie was so agreeable in their scheme to pose as Jared's father. "Why are you puttin' on this act?" Roxy asked just as Rex entered the room. Roxy spun a tale about Charlie's love of theater and how they were going to do a series of one acts. Exasperated by Roxy's babbling, Charlie explained to Rex that he was just saying how nervous he is about playing a fatherly role to a virtual stranger. Rex said that was cool, and announced that he had courtside seats for their upcoming basketball game. Todd arrived at Llanfair and asked Charlie what he was doing there. Once Charlie was out of the room, Viki asked Todd why he had to be so rude to Charlie. "Starr was raped," Todd stated, then explained that Starr claims it wasn't rape. Viki said she couldn't believe that Cole would hurt Starr, but Todd didn't want to believe that his little girl was ready for sex. Todd admitted that Starr said she now knows why everyone in town thinks he's so bad, and Viki could see that how hurt Todd was by that.
Renee and Nigel came by BE to answer a few questions and Renee was quick to shower Jared with praise and affection. Nigel and Renee sat down to talk with Natalie, who pressed a red button under her desk as she began to ask them about Asa's rivals and allies. When Renee started to get emotional, Natalie walked her out, and Nigel pointed out to Jared that he seems quite comfortable in the Buchanans' company. He said he was happy for the most part, and Nigel asked if Jared was thinking about giving up the charade of posing as Asa's son. Jared admitted to having some regret and said he never knew living a lie would be so difficult. Renee and Natalie returned after a quick tour of the office. Once their Q&A session was finished and everyone was gone, Natalie opened her desk drawer and turned off a tape recorder, remarking aloud that her grandfather was right when he said one should always record a business meeting. She began to rewind and was about to hear Jared's admission to Nigel.
Rex hung out with Shane and Gigi, and Shane came close to telling Rex his birthday when Gigi interrupted. After Rex left, Gigi said it was hard to keep secrets and pondered revealing a big one.... While Markko and Cole were talking at the docks, Cole heard a noise and called out, "Starr?" Langston arrived on her own and explained that Starr has bodyguards who wouldn't let her leave the house. She handed Cole a letter. "Dear Cole, I understand now that what happened between us never should have happened. It could have ruined our lives.... We're too young to be so serious, so I think it's better if we don't see each other anymore. I'm sorry. Starr," he read, than ran off in search of her. He arrived at Starr's window and yelled up that he doesn't believe her letter, but Blair came in and said she can't talk to Cole. "I can't let him go, I can't," Starr sobbed. Outside, Langston and Markko urged Todd to leave before he gets caught, and Blair advised Starr that she did the right thing by letting Cole go. "None of this is right," Starr said, shaking her head.
