Monday

Starr paid Schuyler a visit. "We can't do this," Schuyler reminded her. "We're just talking," Starr said. Schuyler made it clear that they couldn't spend any time together. Starr refused to listen. Schuyler said he made a mistake about telling her about what his late mother had said in the letter. Starr explained that her baby hadn't died of RH disease. "So she [his mom] killed herself for nothing," Schuyler realized soberly. Schuyler wished that his mother had just checked Cole's blood type. "This isn't making you feel any better," Starr said. "At least you were right, your mom was a really
good doctor," Starr continued. Schuyler just wanted his mom and Starr's baby to have peace, "but that's not going to happen until we find out how your baby died," he said. Starr was clearly frustrated that she couldn't talk to her mom about this because she's in a coma. "I feel so alone," she said. Schuyler repeated that he couldn't be the person she turns to.

Brody and Jessica kissed and things began to get out of hand. Jessica pulled away from him and ran out of his room. She returned. "We need to talk," they both said. Brody apologized and Jessica pointed out that the kissing had been mutual. "What do we do now?" Brody wondered. Jessica suggested they talk this through. "We have to face this head on," Jessica added as she asked him to go first. They acknowledged that their relationship was simple, and she didn't want to complicate things. They agreed the kiss had been a mistake. Brody said that they needed to stay friends. Brody saw Jessica to the door.

Natalie and Jared discussed the fact that Chloe was Starr's baby. Natalie was worried what might happen to Jessica if she learned the truth about her baby. "She's going to have to face it eventually," Jared said. The two decided to get DNA samples from everyone. Natalie began to clip Chloe's fingernails when Jessica came into the room. Natalie managed to get the bits of fingernails into a plastic bag. Starr joined the threesome. Jared gave Natalie a look of "yikes." Jared and Natalie stared at Starr's locket and were eager to get a piece of the baby's hair that was inside of it.

Bo and Nora told Matthew that his paralysis might not be temporary. The doctor explained that it could have been much worse. "What's more limited than being paralyzed?" Matthew asked. Bo and Nora asked for a moment alone
with Matthew. "This is not the end of the world," Nora said. Matthew demanded that they tell him if he was going to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. "Worst case scenario. Yeah," Bo said solemnly. Matthew wanted his parents to go away. "Don't shut us out,"Nora begged and added that "we are all in this together." "I did this to myself and now I have to live with it," Matthew said. Matthew recounted the events at the dance and said he was stupid enough to get into a car with someone who was high and didn't wear his seatbelt. Matthew tried not to cry when Bo told him he could have died in the accident. Matthew said he was really tired and asked them to "please go."

Shane asked his parents if he was in trouble. "Mom has that look. What did I do this time?" he asked. Rex assured him that he had done nothing wrong but that the doctors had found something. "It's cancer, right?" Shane asked Rex
and Gigi. "What did I do wrong?" he asked again. Shane thought that he had gotten leukemia because he hadn't accepted Rex right away as his dad. Gigi assured him that that was most definitely not the case. Shane wondered why
he had to get leukemia and asthma. Rex said Shane would be having good luck from now on. Shane asked why he didn't feel bad. Gigi recounted some things that had happened recently that now, in retrospect, showed them that something might have been wrong. "Am I going to die too?" Shane asked. Gigi held her son and cried. Shane started to cry. Gigi said that they caught Shane's leukemia before it made him sick. Gigi and Rex explained that he'd get chemo and bone marrow. Shane admitted that he was scared. Rex, Gigi and
Shane vowed to fight the disease together. Shane went to his hospital room as Gigi wept in Rex's arms. "Thank god you are here," she said. Rex needed to go somewhere but promised he'd be back soon.

Stacy listened to Roxy talking to "the man" in the hospital room. "Isn't Rex's father supposed to be dead?" Stacy wondered aloud. Roxy told "the man" about Shane's condition. "You owe me," Roxy said. Roxy wiped a swab in
"the man's" mouth. Roxy left "the man's" room and stormed out. Stacy hid and wondered, "Why is Roxy keeping Rex's father such a big secret?" Stacy walked into "the man's" room as was stunned at what/who she saw. After Stacy left, "the man" wiggled his toes. Back at the hospital, Roxy turned
in the sample and asked the doctor to name it John Doe.

Tuesday

Téa visited Todd in jail. Téa reminded him that if he went near Blair he'd stay behind bars. "She has a restraining order against you," Téa added. Todd realized that Téa thinks he stabbed Blair. Téa pointed out that Todd had been close to the last two murder victims. Téa told Todd she was no longer
his lawyer. "I don't have time for these games," Todd sighed. "I got to Blair after she was stabbed," he insisted. "You know me don't you?" he asked. "Your temper terrifies me," Téa replied. "I went after Starr," Téa said with tears in her eyes. "I won't help you Todd. Not anymore," Téa insisted. "I can't imagine my life without Blair," Todd said. Téa suggested Todd was still in love with Blair. "I'm still in love with Marty," he insisted. Téa thought Todd loved two women at the same time. "I can't do this any more. I don't want your money," Téa said. Before Téa left, she said she'd give Todd a referral but asked that he not contact her again.

Viki sought Dorian at the hospital. She made it clear to Dorian that she did not come to defend Todd. She asked about Blair and offered her help in anyway. Dorian explained that Blair was still in a medically induced coma. "Who could do this to my beautiful Blair?" Dorian asked. "Who could be so evil?" she added. Dorian didn't think Todd stabbed Blair, however. She had listened to Todd tell Starr that he couldn't hurt Blair because she had given him his children. Dorian said she was doing some investigating of her own. Viki wondered why Ray was staying at Dorian's house. "Because Maurice invited him," Dorian explained as she hinted that Ray might have stabbed Blair, as he had allegedly stabbed his first wife. Both women realized that if Todd and Ray didn't do it, whoever did "was still out there," Dorian said. Viki understood why Blair and Todd were together. "They were both wounded," Viki explained, saying that she feels Blair will pull through. "I can't lose her," Dorian cried as her eyes filled with tears. Addie and Sean brought the boys to see Blair. Dorian asked if Addie was alright. "I have to be. I'm her mother," Addie said as she walked into Blair's room. Sean felt had he been at Dorian's house, Blair wouldn't have been attacked. Dorian told Sean she thinks of him as family. Jack asked if Blair was going to die. Dorian told him the truth but promised that the doctors were working very hard. Jack asked to see Todd. Viki brought Jack to see Todd, who looked up at his father with his big eyes.

Addie thanked Dorian for being Blair's mother while she was locked up at St. Ann's. Addie and Dorian began to cry. Dorian was certain they wouldn't lose Blair.

John reviewed the autopsy reports of Lee and Wes. Marty ran into him when she went to get Cole a soda. Marty blamed herself for Blair's stabbing. If she hadn't called John for help, he would have been with Blair and she wouldn't have been attacked. John explained that someone had been stalking
Blair. John assured Marty that she would get through this ordeal with Cole. Marty informed John that Matthew couldn't feel his legs and "Nora was out for blood." Marty started to cry and almost hugged John. She left and went back to Cole's room. John returned to studying the reports. John called Téa. "I need to talk to you about Todd," he said as she entered the room where he was working.

Nora barged into Cole's hospital room. She told him that Matthew is paralyzed from the waist down. Clearly angry, she reminded Cole that it was his choice to numb himself with pills. She blamed Cole for Matthew's condition. "Hate me, I deserve this," he yelled. Nora calmly told him that
he'd be going to jail for a very long time. Nora said Cole would be charged with causing "great bodily harm" and that was a felony. Nora reported that Cole would be discharged today, be booked, arraigned and he'd "need a lawyer. A very good lawyer," she added as she left Cole's hospital room.
Marty walked into Cole's room and asked what was wrong. He told her about Nora's visit. "Don't feel sorry for me. I'm the accident. Matthew is paralyzed because of me," he said sadly. Cole told his mom that he'd be going to prison. "I deserve to be locked up," he said sadly. Marty insisted he was thinking clearly. Nora came in to get Cole but Marty said he was gone. Cole went in to see Matthew in his hospital room.

Cristian visited Evangeline and told her he misses her. "You are the only one who can set me straight," he explained. Layla listened to his conversation with her sister. He went on to explain that Vanessa had used him and that Sarah had ripped into him. He agreed that he had been involved with Vanessa and Sarah because they needed him. Cris said that a part of him will always be with Evangeline. Layla stormed in. "Give me a break," she said harshly suggesting he go to a priest if "you want to confess your sins." The two began to argue. "If Vang could talk, she'd tell you to get the hell back to Llanview," Layla predicted. Layla reminded him that he
dumped Sarah. "This is about you and Vincent, you and Fish," Cristian pointed out, and he suggested that maybe the problem was with Layla and not with Cristian or other men. Layla blew up at Cristian. Cris accused Layla of having a "man-hating moment" and called her a bitch. He kissed Evangeline goodbye and left. Layla apologized to Evangeline for that interaction with Cristian.

Wednesday

John asked Téa if Todd did it. (It being stabbed Blair.) John warned Téa to watch her back. Téa reminded him that she had killed Lee. Yeah, right thought John. John got Téa to admit that she hadn't killed Lee, "but neither did Todd," Téa added softly. Téa tried to explain that Todd was just damaged, "not a piece of crap." Téa said she quit being Todd's lawyer to save herself. "Yes, it's over," she said as she left. "Good for you," John replied.

Jack visited Todd. "Is this ever going to stop?" Jack asked, furious that his father kept lying. Jack updated his father on the state of Blair. "She's still unconscious," Jack explained. Todd assured his son that Blair would be healing. "Mom could die and you know it," Jack yelled. "We're all alone,"
Jack added. Todd told Jack that he didn't hurt Blair. "Get your act together. Come home and be our dad," Jack said firmly to his father and he stormed out. Todd asked Viki to get him another lawyer.

Brody went to see Gigi who immediately dissolved into tears. "He has leukemia," she said as she explained that they were starting chemo immediately. Brody did his best to reassure Gigi that they would all do their best to save Shane. Brody assured her that they would get her through this. Gigi pulled herself together and headed back to the hospital. Brody and Gigi told each other how much they meant to each other.

Rex bumped into Bo at the hospital chapel. Bo thought Rex was there to see him, but it was soon made clear that neither knew what the other one was praying about. Bo stunned Rex with the news that Matthew might never walk again. Bo explained when he realized that Matthew might have been seriously injured. "I just knew," Bo explained to his buddy. "My beautiful boy will have to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.” Rex then told Bo that Shane has leukemia. "He has cancer. Bo, he could die," Rex said trying to hold back tears. Rex explained that Shane would be starting the chemo right away and that they would look for a bone marrow donor. "Sign me up," Bo said. Bo reminded Rex that the odds were in his favor. "I just don't get it. Matthew, Shane the best kids in the world. Why does this happen?" Rex wondered as he offered himself as a sacrifice in the chapel. Rex told Bo
that Shane was finally accepting him and thinking of him as his dad. "But I can't make it better," a frustrated Rex said. Bo reported that Matthew had never smoked pot. Rex wondered how he would keep it together. "Sometimes life just takes guts. It takes courage. You do what you've got to do," Bo
reminded him. "If I get through this it's because of you," Rex said. "Right back at you Balsom," Bo replied.

Marty told Nora that Cole had gone to see Matthew. Nora made it very clear to Marty that Matthew's condition was all Cole's fault. Nora listed all the things that Matthew would not be able to do. Marty said she was sorry, but Nora wouldn't listen, instead calling Marty a horrible mother. Nora blamed Marty for Cole's drug addiction. "You are right," Marty conceded. Marty listened to Nora's comments as her eyes filled up with tears. Marty tried to explain that she couldn't be there for her son. Nora said she would not forgive Marty for what she had done. Marty asked Nora to punish her, "do not take it out on Cole." "None of this would have happened if you would have stayed dead," Nora said sharply. Both women started to cry. Nora added that she had missed Marty so much. Nora said that she had gotten so involved with Marty's case she hadn't noticed that Cole was in trouble at home. Marty told Nora not to blame herself and gave her plenty of props for taking care of Cole. Both women hugged and cried.

Matthew told Cole he was being discharged. "You are like my brother. How can I live with what I did to you?" Cole wondered. Matthew assured his friend that it was an accident. Cole repeated that is was his fault. "If I didn't screw up, none of this would have happened," Cole repeated. "Why don't you
hate me?" Cole asked Matthew. Matthew thought Cole should be mad at him and took the blame for letting Cole become an addict. Matthew said that he had been taught better by his parents, and he had let them down. Cole and Matthew apologized to each other. Cole left the room and found a pill in his pocket, which he promptly popped.

Music played as Cole was led off to jail. Matthew threw a pillow and cried. He tried to stop when Bo came into the room but Bo saw through it and took his hand. Gigi found Rex in the chapel. John saw them take Cole away. Téa deleted Todd's name from her phone book. Todd met his new lawyer. "I want my kids back," Todd announced.

Thursday

Lola started kissing Markko and he responded because he thought she was Langston. He was quite startled when he realized it was Lola. Lola accused Markko of "liking it." Langston entered the kitchen. "Am I interrupting something?" she asked. A guilty Markko said no and later told Langston how much he loved her.

Starr was very frustrated not to be able to talk to Blair. Starr gave Langston the latest update on Hope’s death. Langston swabbed Starr's mouth, so she could be tested to see if she's a bone marrow match.

Natalie and Jared brought all their DNA evidence to the lab, but they were pretty convinced that Chloe wasn't Jessica's baby. "We have to," Natalie said of their plan to prove the truth about that baby. When Marcie and Michael showed up, Jared and Natalie hid their bags of DNA. They were also being tested for Shane. Michael didn't know why there was confusion about how Starr's baby died. He thought the pathologist might be wrong, but that would mean exhuming the body. "Let's let Hope rest in peace," Marcie said firmly as the two headed over to the caf. Natalie and Jared vowed to do the right thing for all concerned and they turned their evidence in to the lab. "Whatever the results are, we'll have to deal with it. So will Jessica," Jared said. Natalie and Jared found Starr near Blair's room. She was about to take a shower. Natalie offered to hold Starr's locket. BINGO on getting the dead baby's DNA. "I can't believe this locket fell into our hands," Natalie said. "If the truth comes out, we could lose Chloe and Jessica," Natalie said soberly. Starr came out of the shower and Natalie gave her back her locket, now missing one strand of hair.

Brody met Jessica at the door of the cafe. Jessica admitted she had Hep C thanks to Tess. Jessica introduced Viki and Chloe to Brody. Viki thought Brody was very nice, "but we've just decided to stay friends," Jessica told her mother. Jessica learned it wasn't possible for her to be tested as a
donor. Marcie asked if she could hold little Chloe. Brody held Chloe and told Jessica how upset he was about Shane. He confided in her that people were still afraid that he might "lose it." He talked about holding on to a kid who "isn't mine" to Jessica... who is still holding on to a kid that isn't
her's.

Stacy went into the lab and convinced the technician to check her swab first. Roxy charged in and wanted to be a match for Shane. Roxy then asked if her friend John Doe was a match. The technician told her she wasn't but he was, but he needed the name of the donor. Roxy refused to give him the name. "Do you want to save your grandson's life or not?" he asked. Stacy listened intently. Stacy cornered Roxy and told her everything she had heard.

Rex and Gigi woke up in Shane's hospital room. He had received his first chemo the night before. Roxy brought Shane lots of food. He immediately ran to the bathroom to throw up. The entire family went for a walk. Shane ran into a kid who was bald; she had lymphoma. Shane realized that he would soon be bald like the little girl. Roxy began to shave Shane's head. "I don't look like dad anymore," he said wistfully. "There is nothing I wouldn't do for my son," Rex said as he shaved his own head. Gigi and Shane were stunned to see Rex with very short hair. Gigi offered to shave her hair but Shane said it wasn't necessary. Gigi held on to both "handsomest boys in the whole wide world." Michael reported that Shane was responding to the chemo but they would have to find a bone marrow donor "sooner than later."

Stacy brought her swab to the diner. "With any luck I'll be a match," she smiled, remembering the big secret she had on Roxy. Fish saw Stacy and stopped in his tracks. Cris and Layla butted heads yet again. Layla made a few anti-man remarks. Cris thought Layla lost Fish because Layla was a bitch. Layla wondered why Stacy had reached out to her when she realized that Fish had dumped her for Stacy. Stacy wasn't aware that Layla and Fish were starting to get involved. Layla asked Fish if he broke it off with her because of Stacy or "because I was a bitch." Fish did say that Layla didn't seem that into him. Layla followed Cris into the freezer and she shut the door behind her. Cris pointed out there was no way to get out.

Friday

Layla was horrified to realize she and Cris were trapped in a freezer. Layla told Cris that Oliver Fish had told her she was a fine person. "Isn't he the last guy who dumped you?" he asked. Cris laughed and said Fish was just being nice. "What do you know about being nice?" Layla wondered. Cris thought it was odd that Layla cared about his opinion of her as she hated him. Cris gave Layla his coat. "Anything to keep you from complaining," he said. Cris explained he wasn't looking for forgiveness when he went to visit Evangeline. Layla told Cris he deserved to be lonely. Layla lit matches so
they could warm up. Fortunately, one of the waitresses came in and the two rushed out.

Addie told John that they were going to take Blair off the medicine that has kept her in the coma. Addie begged John to find the person who stabbed Blair. John had to remind Addie that he wasn't a cop any more. Addie was glad John and Blair were a couple. Addie was served papers on Blair's behalf.

John headed home and ran into Fish. John told him that he was quietly investigating the murders. Fish said he was back on the force. John asked Fish to help him look at the evidence from the Lee Halpren murder site; he just needed the list of what was collected. Fish asked John if he thought there was a serial stabber. John thought the killer was leaving them a message. Fish dropped off a folder full of photocopies of the evidence. John was very grateful.

Tea agreed to represent Cole. Marty asked Todd to tell her what he said to Cole the night of the accident. Tea was surprised that Marty had called "Todd's former lawyer" as Tea described herself. Marty told Tea about Matthew's paralysis; she added that Cole is 18 and could be tried as an
adult. "Why me?" Tea asked. Marty wanted the person who could get Todd off to "save my son." Tea reminded her that she'd have to pull out the heavy artillery and then agreed to take the case. Marty got a call from John. He asked her to come over to his place. "It's important," he said. Marty knocked on John's door and asked about Blair. She was better he said. John asked Marty how she was doing. John had a question about Lee Halprin. John showed Marty a photo of Lee's ear. Marty didn't remember Lee wearing a third earring. Marty demanded he tell her what was going on. John showed Marty all the letters that were left at the various crime scenes. The letters were KAD. "That's the name of the fraternity house where I was raped," an alarmed Marty revealed.

Tea asked for the evidence folder from the night of Cole's accident.

Todd's new lawyer Morgan was happy to tell him he would soon be a free man. Todd asked Morgan to help him win custody of his kids. The attorney pointed out that the restraining order had expired, "but I'd hold off if I were you." Morgan said they would surprise the family and sue for custody. Todd wondered what his former lawyer would think of this plan.

Rex and Gigi met up in the hospital chapel. Gigi worried that they might not find a donor for Shane soon. Rex tried to assure her that they'd find a donor. Rex admitted she was trying to get a han dle on "this prayer thing." Rex told Gigi they needed to stay positive, said he was starting to believe in miracles and reminded her that the fact he found her after 10
years was a miracle. "That reason is our son," he added. "We have to believe, Gigi," Rex said earnestly. Gigi was clearly distraught. She wondered why God would give a good kid like Shane leukemia. Gigi wished she was the one who had leukemia. Gigi began to cry and Rex held on to her. Gigi
told God that she needed Him. Stacy listened outside the chapel. "I'll do anything," Gigi said. "Good news Gigi," Stacy said. "There's a bone marrow match for Shane," Stacy said. Gigi began to cry tears of joy. "It's me," Stacy smiled.

Stacy told Roxy she knows who John Doe really was. Roxy stared at her, horrified. Stacy said that she knows John Doe is in room 302. "I followed you into the room," Stacy explained. "So then you know," Roxy said. "Oh yeah, Roxy, I know," Stacy replied. Stacy said she had no problem telling
Rex who his father was. Roxy pulled Stacy back. Stacy admitted that she had loved Rex long before Gigi met him. "You set me up," Roxy said as the women started to fight. "Rex cannot find out. It will kill him to know that monster's blood was flowing through his veins," Roxy said. Roxy realized she would have to tell Rex the truth. Stacy thought Rex would hate Roxy for the rest of her life. Stacy said she wouldn't tell him. "Do exactly as I say," she ordered.

Rex ran into Roxy. "There's a match," she told her son.
