One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of March 3, 2008

Monday

Dorian barged into Nora's office at Buchanan Enterprises and played the tape that showed Nora going through the pile of written secrets at the "Go Red" Ball. As Dorian laughed, she rattled off all of Nora's crimes and the bad things she had been a part of. Nora screamed when Dorian mentioned Jen's death. She realized that Dorian wanted revenge for Nora having stolen Clint from her. Nora grabbed the tape. Dorian declared that Clint had been madly in love with her. "You wanted Clint more than you wanted any other man in a long, long time," Nora taunted. "I made Clint feel young," Dorian claimed. The two women continued to bicker. Dorian accused Nora of sleeping with Clint to get back at Bo. She suggested Nora resign from BE. "Just get it over with," Dorian seethed, gloating over Nora's upset. Roxy charged in and reminded them that Roxy and Dorian were also on the tape. Nora rushed the tape back into the VCR and found the part that showed Roxy and Dorian going through the secrets. Roxy left and Nora tried to destroy the tape. Dorian threw it in the trash and set the wastebasket on fire. The fire alarm and sprinkler system went off.

Cole hugged Starr as she told him (and Langston) about the planned Manning move to Hawaii. Cole and Langston suggested Starr calm down and then try to talk to Todd. After a rather unsuccessful chat with her father, Starr and Cole made plans for their last night together.

Viki wondered if Todd had lost his mind. "You hate the beach. You hate the sun," she recalled. "I think this has everything to do with our new police commissioner." Viki complimented Todd on having grown up but still didn't think moving to Hawaii was a good idea. "It's better than being dead," Todd told his sister. "So Ramsey has threatened your family?" she asked. Roxy barged in and panicked when she heard that Dorian was showing "the tape" to Nora. Roxy left and Todd and Viki both teared up when they realized they would be saying goodbye soon. Viki tried to comfort Starr, but nothing could calm the troubled teen. Starr tracked down Todd. "Dad, we need to talk," she said. Todd tried to explain that he was doing this because he loves his family. "Starr, you don't understand," he tried to explain. He asked if Starr's friends were more important than her family. He assured his daughter that she'd make new friends and find a new boyfriend. Starr told her father he would be ruining her life. "If you stay here in Llanview, your life with be ruined," he predicted. Starr accused Todd of moving them to Hawaii to break up her romance with Cole. "I will never forgive you," she screamed as she ran up the stairs. Blair gave a hopeless look to her husband, then told Todd she figured out that Ramsey was behind Todd's desire to leave Llanview.

Blair had a run-in with Ramsey, who rattled off Blair's list of crimes.
"Do you have a point here?" she bristled. Ramsey thought it was odd that she could forgive Todd even though he gave their son away. Blair said she loves Todd and wondered if Ramsey had ever been in love. Ramsey left the diner.

Natalie and Jessica charged into Allison's hospital room. Nash was already there when Allison's eyes popped open. The bells and buzzers went off and Nash left her room. Jessica panicked that Allison would tell everyone that she and Natalie had helped her escape. Nash convinced his wife and sister-in-law to lie. He showed the ladies the real police sketches, not the ones he and Jared had doctored up. Jessica and Natalie were relieved.

Tuesday

When Dorian set the incriminating videotape on fire, that set off the fire alarm and the sprinklers went off. Nora and Dorian got drenched. Clint charged in, exploded and turned off the sprinklers. He demanded an explanation, but both women started talking at the same time. Dorian claimed she was writing an article on Jared for Craze. "It smells like melted plastic, "Clint noticed as he picked up the melted videotape. "Someone want to explain to me what this used to be?" he asked. Nora admitted she had gone through the secrets at the ball. "And now, I am the one at loss for words," said Clint. Dorian jumped in and made the situation worse by hinting that an investigation was in order. Nora added that Dorian was also on the tape. Clint didn't have time to talk. He was going to call housekeeping to have the office cleaned up. He suggested the ladies towel off and leave. Lindsay barged in and found the ladies wrapped in towels. Nora blamed Lindsay for everything. "I was right, you still have a thing for Bo!" Lindsay exclaimed. Nora was stunned at that comment. Nora claimed she was doing a good job for Buchanan Enterprises. Lindsay suggested that Nora change her ways. She reminded the counselor that rifling through people's personal property — like those secrets — are grounds for disbarment.

Bo began to help Clint with business. "This is what Pa always wanted," Bo noted, and the two of them talked about family being what it's all about. Nora apologized to Clint. "Say no more," he insisted. Matthew called and Nora left to pick him up.

At the diner, Bo and Nora wondered where Cole was because he had been asked to pick up Matthew. She told Bo that Cole has offered to help. Bo thought Nora might be juggling too many things. "What does this have to do with Cole?" she asked as she got defensive.

Todd tore apart the living room hunting for a bug. He was convinced that Ramsey had bugged the place, because the new commish was well aware of Todd's planned move to Hawaii. Blair tried to convince her husband not to move the family. Dorian showed up wrapped in her towel and hunting for a drink. "Are you all right?" Blair asked, wanting more details about why she was wet. Dorian asked for an update on the Hawaiian move. "Nothing is definite yet," Blair said.

Starr and Cole arrived at Langston's deserted house. The two decided to stay in the bedroom. Starr shut off her cell phone. She didn't want to hear from anyone, especially not Todd. "I don't want to waste one minute of our last few hours together," she said. Cole lit some candles. Starr didn't think she could say goodbye to him. "Then let's not," he suggested. "It's not like this is forever." Cole promised to visit her. Starr didn't think that would happen and reminded him that Todd would keep them apart. Starr and Cole reminisced about the history of their romance. She recalled standing by him during the steroid crisis. "Who is going to be there for you when I'm gone?" she cried.
The teens declared that they are so connected they feel the same thoughts, they think the same things. Starr began kissing Cole and they laid down on the bed. She told him she wanted to make love. So did he. The two admitted they had thought about it a million times. Major kissing continued. Just then, Todd stormed into the house and walked in on the young couple. "Dad?!" Starr blurted as she tried to cover herself.

Earlier, Markko and Langston were kissing on Starr's bed when Todd knocked on the door, looking for his daughter. That killed their romantic mood. Through her door, Todd began to apologize to his daughter. He opened the door and thought he saw Starr under the covers...but it wasn't Starr, it was Langston listening to Todd's admission that he would rethink the move. Markko was hiding in the closet. Todd, none the wiser, said goodnight. Unfortunately, Markko dropped something in the closet, Todd dragged him out of the closet and Langston was revealed to be under the covers. "Where's Starr? She's with Cole, isn't she? Where are they?" he railed, as Todd began hitting and punching Markko. Langston ran downstairs searching for Dorian. "Please stop Mr. Manning; he's going to kill him!" she cried.

Wednesday

Langston charged into the living room and told Dorian and Blair that Todd had gone to her empty house to find Cole and Starr. She was afraid of what Todd might do to them. Just then, Todd walked into the candlelit bedroom. "Dad?!" Starr jumped, with great panic in her voice. Todd began beating Cole and threw him against the wall. Starr began screaming. Blair arrived at Langston's and heard the commotion. Blair tried to pull Todd off of Cole but then she saw her daughter wrapped in a sheet and realized what had happened. Starr managed to separate them and sent Cole off. Todd assumed Cole had raped Starr. He became crazed and began muttering that he had to kill Cole himself. Blair, obviously very upset herself, held Starr as she wept. Blair tried to get Starr to explain what had happened. She wondered if Cole had forced her to do anything. Starr was horrified at her questioning. The teen explained that she and Cole were in love. Starr sobbed and sobbed, saying Todd had ruined her memory of that special night. "How could he do that to me?" she wept.

A dazed Todd walked into Dorian's foyer. "You know what you did to your friend tonight?" he said to Langston. Dorian refused to leave. Todd accused Langston of being jealous because Starr's parents were still alive, and Langston's were dead. Dorian was horrified that Todd would say such a thing. Soon, Starr and Blair came home. Todd insisted that Cole raped Starr and he would be arrested for that. Starr explained again that she loves Cole and that she wanted to sleep with him. She told Langston that it almost was her first time. Starr fretted that Todd was going to kill Cole. Langston admitted she told Todd where Starr had gone. Starr asked why she would do that. Langston explained that Todd had found her in Starr's bed and he was so angry that he scared her into telling him where Starr and Cole were. Starr described how Todd beat Cole and worried that she will probably never see Cole again.

Bo thought Nora was so busy, maybe she was too busy to be Cole's guardian. Nora asked if he had problems with her parenting skills. She reminded Bo that Marty selected her as Cole's guardian. Bo intoned, "We both know what he did." (That would be shooting Miles.) Nora claimed that that was an accident. Bo questioned Cole's stability. Matthew showed up and grabbed his ice cream sundae. Bo was upset that Cole had forgotten to pick up Matthew. Nora wondered why Cole hadn't called and promised to speak to him tonight. Bo apologized for offending Nora and reassured her that she's the best mother. Nora pointed out that Bo was juggling just as much as she was. Bo got a call about the Webster meeting. Nora got a call that had something to do with Antonio Vega.

At Nora's, John and Nora began discussing Cole. Cole tried to sneak up the stairs but Matthew saw him. "What happened to you?" he asked.
Nora and John came out of the living room and saw the badly beaten up Cole.
"Who did this to you?" John asked. Cole refused to tell them anything, and he didn't want them to call Starr. "Why? Is she involved with this?" John asked. Then John asked, "Did Manning do this to you?" John charged out with the intention of killing Todd, and soon knocked on Dorian's door. When Todd opened it, John punched him. "Touch that kid again and I'll kill you," John seethed.

Lindsay brought Clint a folder of papers. "Consider this a gift from me to you," she said. Clint was flabbergasted at what he found inside. Lindsay had done some digging in her late husband's Sam's files. She claimed that everything she gave him was true. Lindsay reminded Clint that none of this bad stuff she had found about Webster had to go public, "if he does the right thing." She thought Clint would do just about anything to help the family. Clint didn't know if that was a compliment or an insult. He thought this information could be seen as blackmail, and so he refused to use it. "Okay," Lindsay said, as she tried to brush the whole thing off. Clint wondered what was in this for her. "Bo would hate it," he noted.
Bo showed up. Lindsay hid in the bathroom. Bo told Clint he was happy they were working together at Buchanan Enterprises. After Bo left, Clint told Lindsay again he wasn't going to use the information she had given him.

At Antonio's loft, Antonio, John and Talia brainstormed to try and figure out why Ramsey was named their boss. The trio tried to find some dirt on him. Talia wondered if what happened to Marty clouded John's judgment. John got defensive, then said he thought Ramsey had someone hiding his tracks. "Someone has plans for him," John reasoned. Talia apologized for her insensitive question. John left to give Talia and Antonio some alone time. Carlotta brought Jamie home, interrupting a kiss between the couple. Carlotta worried what would happen if Talia disappeared from Jamie's life, like Jessica had.

Thursday

Todd opened the door, only to be punched in the face by John. The men began fighting. The entire extended Manning family came rushing down the stairs.
"That kid's going to jail for raping my daughter," Todd bellowed. "No, Dad! Are you serious?" wailed Starr. She began fighting with her father. "All you have taught me is hate," she yelled as she ran up the stairs. Blair begged Todd to let this go, "if you love your daughter." Todd just looked at his wife in disbelief. Langston apologized to Starr again. Starr reminded her friend that she wasn't to blame; Todd was. Starr vowed if she had to chose between her dad and Cole, she wouldn't want anything to do with her father. Todd began talking and concluded that it was Cole's plan all along to rape Starr. "He wanted to get back at me for what I did to his mom. It was about revenge. That's why he raped her," Todd claimed to an incredulous Blair. Blair thought those remarks were ridiculous. "He loves her; he didn't rape her," Blair insisted. She added that Starr is hurt because of "what you did, Todd." Todd refused to listen. "I know what he did to her," Todd railed, with an insane look in his eye. He remained convinced that Cole raped their Starr. Blair reminded her husband that Starr told them "nothing happened." Todd pointed out that Cole had brought their daughter to an abandoned house. "There was nothing romantic about it," he reasoned. Todd made plans to bring Starr to the police station. Blair refused to let him do that. "Cole loves her. He did not rape her," Blair said forcefully, practically hitting Todd with her words. Starr called Cole at the Buchanan house and the two talked.
Langston left so they could talk privately. Each asked if the other was okay. Cole apologized. "I will never listen to anything my father says again," Starr said. There was a knock at Starr's door. The teens exchanged "I love you"s before they hung up. Fortunately, it was Blair was at the door. Starr begged her mother never to tell her she's anything like "that man" (her dad). Starr confided that all she feels about that night "are regrets." Blair reminded her daughter that the Mannings had already gone through so much, and they would get through this, too. Starr wasn't so sure. She noted that her father had tried to kill the person who was the most important thing to her. "I will never forgive him. I hate him," she screamed. Langston heard her friend scream as she walked into the living room. Todd was sitting in the dark, muttering. "You are going to pay for what you did to my daughter," he babbled.

Rex met Gigi at Capricorn and told her that he had found a job for her. He thought she would make a great administrative assistant for Buchanan Enterprises. Rex wondered why Shane didn't get health insurance from the Navy. (Good question.) Gigi didn't respond. Rex introduced Gigi to Talia, Antonio, Layla, Sarah and Cristian. Natalie showed up and ran into Jared. Rex introduced Gigi to Natalie and bragged about her typing skills. Natalie said she'd set up a appointment with HR. Talia complained about her apartment. Layla invited her to move in with them, as they had a third bedroom. Talia happily agreed and clapped her hands. Natalie told Jared that she wasn't jealous watching Cristian (her ex) all over Sarah (her cousin)...but then John walked into Capricorn. "John, what happened?" she asked. Natalie tended to John's Todd-inflicted wounds. She offered to tell Antonio and Talia about his injuries. John didn't want to talk about it. Jared asked if he could help. "Leave," John said, so Jared left.

Clint read Lindsay's file on Virgil Webster. It talked about Virgil's relationship with women. "I'm not going there," Clint said to himself. Jared walked in to his office. Clint had some nice words for Jared. "I'm glad Natalie rehired you," he said.

Natalie told Charlie she thinks his life is a mystery. "What's your story?"
she asked bluntly. Viki listened to this conversation outside the library.
Natalie thought it was odd that he had received no phone calls or mail. Viki entered and asked that Natalie treat Charlie like a guest. Natalie thought it peculiar that Rex accepted Charlie as his father with no investigation, but she described Charlie as charming. "You remind me of someone I know," she said contemplatively. Charlie thought it might be that he reminded her of "some of those other Balsom relatives." He continued to explain that as he spent most of his life as an alcoholic, he doesn't get much mail. Charlie added that he's starting a new life in every way. Charlie left the room. "Would you like to tell me where all this is coming from?" Viki asked Natalie. Viki called Charlie the most straightforward man she'd ever known. "What you see is exactly what you get," she said. Jared knocked on the door and Charlie pulled him aside for a few words. "Being a Buchanan is better than I imagined," Jared said. "They are finally treating me like one of them." Charlie was happy for him. Jared confessed that he used people and that seemed to torture him. He hoped that Charlie wouldn't lose Viki if Dorian blew their cover. Jared dropped off some stuff for Natalie and she thanked him for doctoring up the police sketches. Charlie wondered why Viki hadn't asked Charlie the questions that Natalie had. Viki said she wanted to respect his privacy. Viki added that the best part of her new journey was getting to know Charlie. She apologized for having mislead him. "We all have our secrets," he said. "You don't," Viki replied. "You told me yours right off the bat." Charlie had that, "Oh Viki, if you only knew..." look on his face.

Nora began to clean up Cole's injuries. He explained where he and Starr had been and that Todd was planning to move the whole family to Hawaii. Nora sent Cole to take a hot shower and said that she'd try to find out how things were with Starr. John returned and brought Nora up to speed on what Todd was planning to do against Cole. Nora reminded John that 16 was the age of consent in Pennsylvania. Nora thought it was tragic because all of this that happened "because Todd loves Starr." Clint walked into the Buchanan living room and Nora again apologized for the sprinkler incident. Clint said he understood and he forgave her. Nora gave him a big, enthusiastic hug.

Friday

Rex came by with a present for Shane, who invited him in to play the new video game with him. Gigi secretly watched as they talked. Rex asked if Shane thought he could beat his mom. He shared that Gigi used to beat him all the time.
Shane was surprised, since his mom didn't like video games. Gigi thought back to playing video games with Rex in high school, and also kissing after. Shane told him he wanted a monster truck video game, and Rex said maybe he would buy it for him. He asked when his birthday was. Gigi interrupted before he could answer. Rex told her he had come to drive her to her interview. She sent Shane to go study. Adriana called, and asked him about going out with Gigi. Rex insisted they were just friends, and that he loved her more than anyone else. After he got off, Gigi wondered how he felt about being checked up on. He brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal. He asked if she remembered them playing video games together, but she denied it. They left for her interview.

Lindsay and Bo ate together at the diner. He told her about Webster wanting revenge, and Lindsay suggested Clint had come up with a plan to stop him.
Antonio and Talia walked in, and Bo asked them to join him. Lindsay got up to make a call. She called Clint and reminded him he wouldn't need luck if he used the information she gave him. Antonio and Talia told Bo they hadn't found anything on Ramsey yet, and he told them not to give up. At Capricorn, Cristian and Sarah were hooking up when Cris got a call saying the deliveries weren't coming. Soon after, the deliveryman stopped by to let Cris know Capricorn's account was frozen. Meanwhile, Antonio discovered the same thing happened to his mother at the diner.

Jared asked Nigel if any of Asa's papers were still at the house, but he told him they were all at the office. Jared told Nigel he hoped that their improved relationship could continue. Nigel reminded him he hadn't forgotten how Jared got here, and suggested he remain on his best behavior. Nora got an upsetting call with bad news for the Vegas. She asked them to try to stop it so she would have time to talk to Antonio. She kissed Clint goodbye and headed out. Clint got a call from Webster, who said he was looking forward to seeing him later. Nora called Talia looking for Antonio, and Talia told her they were at the diner. Nora said she was on her way.

Cristian called Antonio and told him what happened at Capricorn. Antonio headed over there. Once he arrived, Antonio called the bank manager. While he was on the phone, two FBI men walked in saying they were there to seize the club. Nora arrived at the diner, where Talia told her Antonio had already left because there were problems at the club. Nora told her she knew about those problems, and needed to talk to Antonio. Talia left to try his cell, Lindsay sent zingers Nora's way, and Nora left.

At the office, Natalie told Jared her fears about Webster. Jared told her they were going to get through it. They brought paperwork in to Clint and Bo just as Webster arrived. She and Jared were introduced to Webster, and they left. Clint and Bo asked him to stop trying to shut down their project in Colombia. Webster immediately started bashing them. Bo got angry, and Clint asked to speak to Webster alone. Clint took a folder out of his desk and told Webster there was something he needed to see. When he looked at the contents, Webster told Clint he was as big of a bastard as his father. Clint told him the workers needed to be back on the job within the hour, or he would go public with everything he knew about him. Webster agreed, but told Clint his troubles were only beginning.

Gigi and Rex arrived for her interview, and Natalie and Jared asked her questions. Rex began singing her praises, and Gigi told him to leave. Jared and Natalie agreed they liked what they heard. They sent her to talk to someone else, who would make the final decision. After Webster left, Natalie and Jared rushed in to find out what happened. He told them they were going back to work on the site, and they were thrilled. Natalie congratulated him.
Gigi came back up, and Natalie told her the job was hers. After they left, Gigi thanked Rex for his help with getting the job. Natalie told him Jared she'd enjoyed working with him, and he agreed they made a good team.

Nora arrived at Capricorn and told Antonio she knew what was going on. After getting the FBI men to leave, Nora admitted the government was seizing all of Antonio's property. She told him she had been able to postpone it, but she didn't know if there was any way to stop it.

Bo returned to the diner, and told Lindsay that he let Webster get to him, but that Clint was still in the meeting. Lindsay said she thought he could handle it. Clint called and told Bo that the Colombia project was going to resume that day. Bo very pleased, and told him he was proud of him.
