OLTL Week of March 8, 2010
Monday
Roxy walked in to John's place to find Marty sitting on the bed and promptly spotted Marty's positive pregnancy test. Marty tried to get Roxy out of her hair, but Roxy knew what she saw. Roxy told Marty not to worry about it and that John would be a great dad, but Marty seemed very uncertain about this latest development. Roxy hit a nerve when she asked if Marty and John are having problems. Marty admitted that John may have some "unresolved feelings" and Roxy knew she was referring to Natalie.
John, meanwhile, paid Natalie a visit. She invited him in and confessed that she had a sexy dream about him. He admitted he'd had one about her, but assured her, "They're just dreams." Natalie announced that there'd be no more kisses, but wondered if they should figure out why they're still having these feelings after all these years. She then backtracked and suggested it's normal. When she asked if they could still be friends, they went to hug on it but were suddenly in a serious lip lock. Natalie pulled back and asked if they'd just made mistake No. 3. He told her they can't keep going in circles and he has to work some things out. It appeared they might kiss again, but he turned and walked out.
Jessica visited Cristian at Llanview High, where he is now teaching, and announced that she's going to be taking some classes. She told him she's certain he'll soon realize they belong together. Cristian summoned the school principal to make sure he's aware that an adult wants to sit in on classes. The principal pointed out Jessica's uncle just made a sizable donation to the school. Cristian realized his hands are tied and returned to the classroom to find hearts drawn around his name on the chalkboard.
At the diner, Starr, Cole and Markko all seemed to notice that Langston was out of it, and it didn't help matters when she received a text message from Ford saying, "You look hot 2day." At a nearby table, Clint presented Kim with a prenuptial agreement, but Kim didn't want to sign it. Clint insisted that Kim sign the prenup or there'll be no marriage and no baby. Cole's lab partner showed up and sat down to work on their project, but he noticed that Hannah was distracted by Ford. Ford and Markko, meanwhile, were having a meeting about a film while Ford kept messing with his phone and texting Langston. When Markko was gone, Hannah confronted Ford, but he told her to just let it go. She walked away, then privately vowed to never let it go.
Kyle presented Oliver with the DNA test he had run to see if he's the father of Stacy's baby. Oliver was livid that Kyle went behind his back, but Kyle argued that Oliver needs to know the truth. Oliver told Kyle he's welcome to the test, then stormed out.
At the hospital, Gigi announced to Ta and Schuyler that the baby is going home with her. Schuyler was furious and begged Gigi not to take his daughter away from him. He vowed to never let Sierra Rose go. Gigi seemed torn but urged him to see that this is what's best for Sierra Rose. Schuyler went off when he learned that Gigi blabbed to Eli that he stole the oxytocin. Rex offered Schuyler a deal: He walks away from the baby and they won't tell the ethics committee about his misdeed. Schuyler balked at Rex's suggestion and was so angry that he was about to punch Rex, but Oliver rushed up and stopped him. After Schuyler swore to Gigi that he would do whatever it takes to keep Sierra Rose, Rex tried to make Gigi see that Schuyler is manipulating her because he still wants to be with her. Eli returned and asked Gigi what he should do. Wanting to give Sierra Rose the best life possible, Gigi gave him the go-ahead to file for custody. Oliver, meanwhile, returned home and asked Kyle to burn the DNA test results.
Starr was shocked to see that Cristian is her new art appreciation teacher and even more startled to see Jessica there. She soon realized that Jessica didn't remember anything after 17, and asked if that means she doesn't remember stealing her baby and raising her for like six months. Awkward! After agreeing to let Jessica audit his class, Cris realized he'd made a mistake when she started making comments to the other students about how hot he is.
Marty begged Roxy to keep the news of her pregnancy quiet. Roxy agreed, but urged her to tell John soon. John returned and got a sense that they were talking about something juicy, and asked Marty if there's something she needs to tell him.
Tuesday
Elijah informed Rex and Gigi that he'd started the paperwork on their custody case, and Rex assured Gigi that she's doing the right thing. Shane showed up to surprise Gigi, who informed him that she and Rex would like to raise Sierra Rose. Shane had a few questions, such as how could Rex possibly raise a baby who was created by two people he hates? Meanwhile, Kyle was about to burn the DNA test results when Oliver suddenly changed his mind after seeing Sierra Rose at the hospital. Oliver asked to see the envelope, then panicked and headed out for air.
At the diner, Carlotta told Layla how happy she is that Cristian has a beautiful woman who cares about him. "Make that two," Layla corrected her. Carlotta was confused, and Layla had to catch her up on what happened to Jessica. Meanwhile, Jessica wanted to stay behind after Cristian's class for some "extra credit," which alarmed Cristian.
As Kim contemplated Clint's marriage contract, she imagined the waiter shirtless, while "Angel Stacy" appeared and urged her to sign the prenup. When Elijah walked in, Kim ran right over to the lawyer and asked him to sit at her table. Not realizing what she needed him for, he agreed. Kim couldn't help but picture Eli shirtless ... until he pointed out the infidelity clause in her prenup.
Natalie fantasized about kissing John, while Allison watched from the terrace at Llanfair. Allison snapped a photo of Bree playing and scurried away. After her discussion with Marty, Roxy came running in to plead with Natalie not to be a homewrecker. Natalie was understandably confused. Meanwhile, Marty fibbed to John that she wasn't feeling well and did a double take when he mentioned his visit at Llanfair. After he claimed he was there to talk to Jessica about her shooting, she tried to maintain her cool as she asked what their future holds. Their conversation was interrupted by Oliver seeking advice on his paternity pickle. Marty stepped out of the room, but couldn't help overhear John say that some people are just not cut out for parenthood. Oliver returned to his boyfriend and announced that he's not ready to know the truth.
Meanwhile, Roxy nearly spilled the beans several times to Natalie about Marty's pregnancy and Natalie caught on that something was up. Roxy suggested that Natalie just protect her heart because John and Marty are really making a go of it. Roxy nearly did it again when she pointed out it's a good thing Natalie's not the one with the baby, but Nat didn't pick up on her flub.
Viki and Clint were summoned by Cristian to Llanview High, where the teacher explained that Jessica wants to complete her senior year. After hearing that the principal is allowing this because of Todd's donation, Jessica's parents wondered how long they can go on sheltering her. Jessica, meanwhile, popped in to the diner and walked right over to Layla. When she noticed how different the diner looks, Carlotta explained that Charlie remodeled it to remind Viki of her days as a waitress. Jessica was shocked to hear that her mother had been a waitress. Cristian's arrival interrupted a tense moment between Layla and Jessica, while Kim ogled him from afar. Angel Stacy urged Kim to sign the deal so she can take care of the baby. Layla was perturbed to learn that Jessica is taking Cristian's class.
While Rex and Gigi were visiting Sierra Rose, Shane watched from the hallway and noticed that Allison was standing there taking his picture. She claimed to be a hospital employee and made him pose for a pic near the window. "Heed the messenger," she called out as she snapped the pic. Allison ran away before Gigi and Rex could see her, and Gigi announced to Shane that Sierra is ready to be released. Allison sorted through her photos and gloated to herself that the "messenger" will be pleased. Clint returned to the diner and was surprised to see that Kim had signed the papers. While Marty was consulting with Viki on Jessica's condition, her cell phone fell out of her purse at Llanfair. Natalie went to pick it up and found the pregnancy stick on the floor, too. Natalie couldn't believe what she'd seen.
Wednesday
Rex and Gigi waited around the hospital for Sierra Rose's release, while Schuyler and Rachel prepared the apartment for the baby. Rachel assured an anxious Schuyler that he wouldn't lose his career over the oxytocin thing. Greg arrived and reported that the board reviewed Schuyler's case and he is off the hook. Schuyler promptly ran out to collect his baby. At the hospital, Gigi thanked Rex for supporting her through everything with the baby, and he told her there's nowhere he'd rather be. "I missed you," he confessed. They leaned toward each other as though about to kiss, but Elijah interrupted the close moment.
Viki summoned Téa to Llanfair to get started on her divorce papers. Téa had no idea Viki's marriage had gone downhill. Meanwhile, Charlie paid Dorian a visit after her sister's funeral. Dorian said Melinda had no history of heart trouble and she's certain Mitch was behind her death. When Charlie announced that Viki wants a divorce, Dorian apologized for putting him in this position. She urged him to beg for Viki's forgiveness, but he said he'd already done that. Charlie headed to the diner, where he reminisced about a romantic evening with Viki there. Back at Llanfair, Viki thought back to Charlie's proposal on the terrace. The doorbell broke her trance, and she was shocked to find Dorian waiting for her.
Kim's stripper pals arrived at the Buchanan mansion for the big day, but Nigel had no idea that Clint and Kim were about to get married. Kim told him to make them some brunch pronto, then resumed gabbing with her girls. They were happy for her, but disappointed to hear that she signed a prenup with a fidelity clause in it. Leah gave Kim a hard time about marrying for the wrong reasons.
After overhearing Todd confess to Clint that Kelly rejected his proposal, Todd taunted Kevin until Kev took a swing at his uncle. Danielle walked in to witness the scuffle and confronted her father about beating up his own nephew. He tried to talk to her about school, but she refused to have a "father-daughter chat with a rapist." Clint tended to his son at the counter, and made a comment loud enough for Bo and Nora to hear about his impending wedding. Nora wondered if Clint was doing this as payback, while Bo offered his congratulations. Kevin headed to the mansion to meet Kim's bridesmaids, who mistook him for Clint and noted that Kim has no need to cheat on her husband-to-be. Kevin gave Kim a hug and whispered in her ear that he'll destroy her if she hurts his dad. Clint returned to the mansion and asked Kim if she's ready, but Kim appeared hesitant.
Schuyler arrived at the hospital to pick up Sierra Rose and was handed the baby just as Elijah emerged and said the judge had made a decision. Schuyler was devastated when Eli announced that he must hand the baby over to Gigi. He phoned Téa, who rushed over as soon as she could.
Blair sensed that something other than Melinda's death was troubling her cousin. Kelly explained what happened with Kevin, and Blair let her cousin lean on her. Blair was perturbed when she spotted Todd's initials on Kelly's handkerchief, but Kelly explained that he'd found her in tears at the church. Blair asked what Kelly plans to do next, and Kelly said she's considering staying for a bit. Just then, Todd arrived at La Boulaie.
While Schuyler was at the hospital, Rachel and Greg argued about Schuyler. Rachel balked at his blanket statement, "People never change," and said she must still be a hooker and a junkie in his book. Greg asked her to admit once and for all that she knows Schuyler took that drug.
Thursday
Just as Gigi and Rex were about to leave with Sierra Rose, Téa rushed in to the hospital with a "stay" granting Schuyler temporary custody. Eli didn't understand what had changed the judge's mind in the last few minutes, but Téa explained it was the board's decision regarding his position at the hospital. Rex lost his cool and got into a scuffle with Schuyler, but Gigi told them to cool it and finally handed the baby over to Schuyler. After watching Gigi say good-bye to the child, Schuyler asked Gigi to come with him. Gigi balked at the idea, and vowed to gain custody of her niece soon.
While Kim was expressing her reservations to Clint, her friends grilled Kevin about his love life. Kim explained to Clint that their marriage won't work because they're not marrying for love, as her friend Laudine so nicely pointed out. Kevin poured his heart out to Laudine and Leah, who suggested he blow off some steam with them upstairs. After Clint reassured Kim with a pep talk about the baby and presented her with a spectacular sparkler, Kim was sold. The justice of the peace arrived and asked if they were ready to go. Kim went to retrieve her pals before they could do too much damage to Kevin, and Clint assured Kev that he knows what he's doing.
Kelly explained to Todd why she won't marry Kevin, and Todd understood, pointing to the pain of reuniting with Téa too many times. Todd asked Kelly to give him some advice on winning Danielle over, and Kelly advised him to be persistent. When he sensed she was actually being nice to her, he ruined by the moment by propositioning her for sex. Kelly had a laugh over the reaction it would get from Blair. Todd then surprised her with another request: Come work for him. She didn't accept, but she didn't exactly say no. Meanwhile, Blair hung out at Starr's and caught her up on Kelly and Todd's budding friendship. Starr wondered why she wasn't going crazy over Kelly befriending Todd, but Blair insisted she's broken "the Todd cycle" and noted that Kelly will be leaving town soon anyway.
Dorian paid Viki a surprise visit and urged her to take Charlie back, pointing out that she still loves him. Viki accused Dorian of seeking absolution, but Dorian blamed Viki for stepping down as mayor and suggested that's what kicked this all off in the first place. After their conversation, Viki sat down to call Charlie.
Back at Schuyler's, Rachel and Greg's argument over Schuyler reached a boiling point and ended with Greg walking out on Rachel for good. Schuyler returned home with his baby and noticed that Rachel had been crying. She said she was just feeling weepy for Schuyler because he had his baby. Meanwhile, Rex assured Gigi that they'd get the baby soon.
The wedding of the century got underway as Leah and Laudine came out of the foyer in colorful party dresses and danced around to rock music. Clint was taken with the sight of Kim in a long white gown. They were brief vows, but they happened: Kim and Clint were pronounced husband and wife. Afterward, Kevin ushered the girls out as Laudine yelled, "I give it six weeks!" Kim and Clint toasted to the next step: getting custody of Sierra Rose.
Friday
John thought it was interesting that Roxy kept visiting Mitch, but of course it was really Allison. Mitch had no desire to see a photo of Sierra Rose. Allison told Mitch that a lot of people were interested in Sierra.
Starr got a letter from LU asking her to set up an interview for the honors program. If she got in, then they could drop Hope off at the campus day care. Starr and Cole started kissing but there was someone at the door. It was Hannah, who wanted to talk to Cole. Starr headed out to pick up Hope. Hannah was obviously rattled about something. "I'm such an idiot," she said. She told Cole that she had been dumped over New Year’s and then she met another older guy who dumped her after a few dates. Hannah added that he was a TA and she felt like a loser. Cole assured her she was a terrific person. Hannah left because shecouldn't concentrate on school work, but was glad to have someone to talk to. She gave Cole a hug, which Starr witnessed. Starr was clearly concerned.
Cristian visited Layla at the police station. He tried to reassure her
that nothing was happening with Jessica. Cris gave her a kiss and left. Brody arrived for work and was clearly frustrated that Jessica was still a teenager. "And guess who her favorite teacher is?" Layla asked, adding, “Your girlfriend is stalking my boyfriend. Maybe we can help each other."
Natalie popped in to see John. She wanted to congratulate him on the baby and was horrified when she realized he didn't know about it. John insisted she sit down and tell him everything, but she said it wasn't her place. "Marty's pregnant. It's your kid," Natalie finally blabbed. John wondered how Natalie knew. "Maybe I'm wrong," Natalie said. She told him about the pregnancy test and then he flashed back on how Marty hadn't been feeling 100 percent. Natalie congratulated him and then left. Marty showed up and wanted to take John to dinner. "So you can tell me you're pregnant?" John said to a shocked Marty.
Jessica told a flabbergasted Brody that she was now a senior at Llanview High. Brody assured her he was going to back off, but added that he wasn't going to give up on her. He returned her stuff to her, including a football. Jessica tracked down Cristian and presented him with a box of all the stuff he had given to her when they were in high school. Clearly, she had saved everything. Jessica watched through the window as Cris reread the Valentine he had given her.
Viki told Charlie that she asked Tea to put the divorce on hold. Charlie was amused that Dorian had spoken on his behalf. Viki didn't want to get Charlie's hopes up and added that she was going to be leaving Llanview. She was leaving town with Bree for a few weeks. Charlie said he wasn't going to give up hoping and promised to rebuild himself from the ground up. The two shared a passionate good-bye kiss, which was interrupted by Natalie. Natalie found her mother in tears. "It's so hard to say goodbye to somebody you loved so much," Viki cried.
Shane was disappointed to learn that Sierra Rose had gone home with her dad. Shane told Gigi and Rex about the nurse's aide who was taking photos of him and Sierra. Rex wanted to find out about that nurse who took Sierra Rose's picture. Shane quickly put the baby stuff away. Gigi was very sad and told Rex that he had every right to say "I told you so," but Rex wouldn't. Rex assured Gigi that she was the world's best mother. Gigi smiled when Rex and Shane hugged. Shane wanted to know what was up between his parents. Gigi insited there was nothing going on because she didn't want him to get his hopes up for a reconciliation. Roxy rushed in and gave Shane a big hug. When Gigi was talking about Sierra Rose, Roxy remembered someone taking a baby away from her.
Schuyler told Rachel that he was willing to share custody with Gigi, but Gigi was insisting on full custody. Rex dropped by Schuyler and Rachel's and wanted to talk to Schuyler. Alone. Rex pointed out that Schuyler didn't care about his child when Stacy was carrying her, adding that Gigi had lost a lot because of Schuyler. Rex accused Schuyler of using Sierra Rose as bait to get Gigi back.
