Todd woke up. Téa was overcome with joy. He told her to stop crying. He asked her to tell him what happened. Meanwhile, Dani informed Nate that she thinks Todd was being harassed before the shooting and was relieved that Nate no longer suspects Tomas was involved; Shaun shot Nate, who hugged Dani, a look. Téa called Dani in to tell her that her dad is awake. Everyone was elated. Dani and Todd shared a happy reunion. Todd remembered who he is and the doc explained that his abdominal wound has pretty much healed. Todd tried to remember the night he was shot.
At Capricorn, Tomas and Blair admitted they have intense feelings for each other. They kissed and talked about whether they should have sex. They made out and slow danced together by candlelight.
Deanna announced to Starr and James that she's staying in Llanview for good. They weren't happy. She made it clear that she wants to be friends with both of them and they don't have to hate each other. Starr wondered where Deanna will live. Nate called with the news about Todd. Starr was thrilled and rushed off. Deanna flashed back (again) to hanging out with James at the Dayton Garage while caressing one of his old shirts.
John went to see Marty, who prepared a romantic night for them. She pulled him into a kiss and tried to seduce him. He was taken aback and pushed her away, making it clear that he only wants to know what she has to tell him. She played it cool, adding that she'll tell him after they have sex. John told her he just wants to rekindle their friendship, admitting he feels burned by what happened with Nat and wants to take things slow from now on. Marty flashed back to switching the paternity test and confessing all to Dr. Buhari. Then she admitted that she knew Natalie was lying and surmised that John's not over Nat. He tried to put the focus back on Marty and said he wants dinner with her. She was pleased. After, she made it clear that she can make him happy.
Natalie realized she has Marty's therapy session on tape and listened to Marty confessing that she put an end to John and Nat's relationship and that she deserves to be with McBain. Nat was confused and wondered what Marty was talking about. Rex and Gigi entered, thinking Nat had listened to Shane's therapy session, but she explained it was Marty on the tape instead. Rex and Gigi persuaded her not to listen to more of the tape. She grabbed the tape and was about to leave but Rex couldn't trust her not to listen to it so he offered to return it to Dr. Buhari himself.
Tomas and Blair were getting hot and heavy on the piano at Capricorn when Starr called with news of Todd. She was floored. Tomas was clearly miffed. Blair apologized and said she had to leave; Tomas followed her to the hospital. Everyone gathered and were stunned by Todd's recovery. Téa walked him through what happened outside of Rodi's and he remembered. Tomas glanced at Todd through the hospital room window and departed to make another mysterious call. "He's awake. I don't know but I will find out," he reported. Nate and Shaun wondered who Tomas ran off to call. Meanwhile, Todd recalled he saw the gunman — Tomas!
Back at the hospital, Téa asked Todd if he knows who shot him but Starr's arrival interrupted their chat. She had a happy reunion with her dad.

Téa was floored when Todd named Tomas as his shooter. Todd wondered why John hadn't arrested him yet. Téa refused to believe her bro would do such a thing; Todd reminded her that she doesn't really know who he is and made a call to "take care of things." Blair, meanwhile, was excited that Todd was awake so their lives could finally get back to normal. Shaun was suspicious of Tomas and made a veiled comment about the syringe that was found in Todd's room. Blair asked what's going on. Tomas denied everything, including shooting Todd. Shaun trained a gun on him.
John continued to investigate Todd's connection to Tomas and revealed that he's still having trouble figuring out what At Buenos Dias Café, he gave Kelly an update on his dinner date with Marty. He admitted that it was weird. Kelly told John about Ryder's custody hearing and that Joey and Aubrey are tending to the child. Kelly was sure Joey would do a great job and mentioned how good he was with Zane. "I always thought he'd be a great dad," she said and apologized to John for yammering on about another guy. John took a call from Todd, demanding Tomas's arrest. John asked Kelly not to follow him over there. She agreed but made a call.
Back at the hospital, Cutter tried to blackmail Dorian hoping she'd keep his secret about colluding (and sleeping!) with Aubrey safe. She wasn't rattled by his threats to expose that she nearly killed Clint by not helping him during his attack and their argument was interrupted by Joey and Aubrey. Cutter was none too please that Aubrey had petitioned for custody of Ryder and won. He later promised Aubrey he'd take care of the Dorian situation but railed at her for complicating matters by adopting a kid. Aubrey was sure that being closer to Ryder's trust fund would be a good thing; Cutter was upset because he surmised she's reconsidering leaving Joey at all. She told him not to worry and left with Joey. Cutter drowned his sorrows in cheap beer and mulled over losing Aubrey for good.
Ford picked up Ryder from Inez's place. She was confused about why he doesn't have custody of his own son. He blamed Tess, who knocked at the door. She admitted she feels badly for ruining Ford's plan because she was certain that her ploy would work and blamed Viki/Niki for everything. Ford pressured Tess to spill the beans about Aubrey and Cutter's relationship. Joey and Aubrey arrived to pick up Ryder. Ford was emotional when he handed over the child and struck a deal with Joey: Ryder for Tess. Ford offered to have Tess committed immediately if he could get his son back. Tess lost her cool. Joey told Ford to call St. Ann's and departed with Aubrey and Ryder. Aubrey wondered if Jessica would remember everything if she returned and flashed back to Tess catching her with Cutter.
John questioned Todd about what he remembered but he couldn't prove that Tomas shot him. Tomas suggested that Todd is lying. John did arrest Tomas when he revealed that prints at the crime matched his.... Kelly told Dorian already knows about the custody hearing and just wrote a story for tomorrow's paper. Dorian advised her to move on and forget about Joey.... Tess knocked out Ford. Inez came home to find him unconscious and left for dead. Tess went to the Minuteman where she informed Cutter that she thinks she killed her husband.

Viki paid Todd, who is on the mend, a visit in his hospital room. He hassled her about writing up something in the paper about Tomas being his shooter. She said she's waiting until formal charges are filed.
Blanca gave Destiny a hard time at Buenos Dias Café about not giving her more information about Eddie's killer, adding that she thinks Nora is guilty. Des said she doesn't know anything; Blanca wasn't buying it. Des finally complied to give Blanca some dirt on Nora and Bo. Blanca surmised that maybe Matthew killed Eddie and Bo and Nora are covering it up. Des said it's impossible and spilled the beans about the Bo/Inez drama. Blanca pieced things together and said it's completely plausible for Matthew to have done the deed. Des freaked out when Blanca threatened to go public with it. Des rushed off to tell Matthew what happened.
Bo admitted to Nora and Matthew that he knew about Clint's heart attack but chose to keep it to himself. Matthew appeared concerned and defended Clint, much to Bo's dismay. Nora called Bo's bluff when he said he doesn't give a damn about his brother's condition. Meanwhile, Clint didn't get a good prognosis from his doctor, who told him he knows what he needs to do.
Echo flashed back to Niki threatening to expose the damning tape of her. Echo paid Clint a visit and surmised that his heart attack is his punishment for trying to screw her over regarding their Rex secret. Clint revealed that Dorian is responsible for getting the tape from him. Echo hoped she'd get her hands on the tape before Viki finds it.
Dorian was eager to inform Viki that she mistakenly gave the tape exposing Echo's lies to Niki. Viki admitted she doesn't remember anything after when Charlie said he was leaving her. Dorian revealed that she's known about Echo and Charlie's affair for weeks. Viki wasn't pleased. Dorian found the recording in Viki's purse and played it for her. Viki was stunned. Dorian urged Viki to play Charlie the tape and expose Echo once and for all.
Inez frantically roused Ford awake. She gave him some ice for his head; he refused to go the the hospital and was miffed that his mom called the cops. Brody showed up. Ford confirmed that Tess is MIA. Brody railed at him for using Tess and Jessica. Meanwhile, Tess arrived at the motel and told Cutter she thinks she accidentally killed Ford when she knocked him over the head. She was freaking out and begged Cutter to hide her. She admitted she was affected by seeing him say good-bye to Ryder and made a call to check on him. She was miffed when she heard Brody. Ford, meanwhile, was concerned for Tess's health; Brody laughed and called him out on falling for her. Ford explained his deal with Joey and sending Tess to St. Ann's.
Starr told Todd about Deanna and the issues she's creating with James. He offered to take care of it. Starr wondered if her dad's method is legal. He said it was and then told Starr he's going to give James another shot. She was surprised; he blamed it on his near-death experience. Later, Todd took a mysterious call.
Tess made out with Cutter and they started to hit the sheets until Cutter revealed he has a new plan that will help them both.... Bo visited Clint who confirmed that he's dying.

Starr walked in on James and Deanna sharing a laugh together on the couch and was upset by how close they seemed. Deanna explained she's not going anywhere until she can get enough money to hire a lawyer to help find her mom. Starr had an idea to help speed along the process and suggested Deanna talk to Téa. Later, Starr wondered how they'd ever get any alone/intimate time with Deanna hanging around.
Echo faced off with Dorian, who wasn't rattled by her threats. Viki arrived at the Minute Man motel armed with the recording of Echo. Charlie was surprised to see his ex and asked about what happened at the custody hearing. After an awkward moment, Viki said she knows why Niki paid Echo a visit and presented Charlie with the tape. Charlie was confused; Viki was conflicted about revealing the truth and said she doesn't want to cause him anymore pain. "I tried to warn you," she said. He played the recording. Viki left just as Echo walked in. Charlie was flabbergasted that Echo had lied to him about Rex the entire time. She tried to apologize, explain and was overcome with emotion as she said Clint manipulated her into keeping the secret. She begged Charlie for forgiveness, but he excoriated her for her deception, which made him lose Viki and fall off the wagon. "You set me up!" he yelled and said that it's over and he never wants to see Echo again.
At the hospital, Bo grudgingly offered his support to Clint, who relayed that there is too much damage to his heart for bypass surgery and his rare blood type makes a transplant near impossible. Clint surmised everyone will be happy that he's dying. Bo continued to give Clint a hard time and admitted he didn't even want to come visit but Nora told him to and blasted Clint for ruining his life. Clint still didn't apologize for his actions and asked Bo for a favor and not tell the rest of the family about his condition because they've been through too much already. Bo was taken aback that his bro had even considered others feelings.
Destiny panicked to Matthew that she thinks Blanca is going to claim that he killed Eddie. She begged him to make it right but he said he couldn't and confessed to Des that he did in fact kill Eddie Ford. He was overwhelmed with guilt for nearly letting Nate take the fall for the crime. Des was floored but comforted Matthew with a kiss.
Brody and Ford showed up at the motel, where Tess and Cutter were already waiting for them. Brody tried to arrest Tess; Ford said he didn't call St. Ann's and hesitated to sign the paperwork to have her committed. Cutter told Ford he can't control Tess, who proudly presented her own paperwork showing her marriage to Ford is annulled. Then Cutter and Tess dropped the bombshell that the power of attorney doesn't apply either because they got hitched! Brody wondered what Cutter's getting out of it. He claimed he loves Tess and the newlyweds promptly kicked Ford and Brody out.
Viki returned to the hospital and told Dorian that Charlie knows the truth. Dorian was pleased; Viki worried that they've made a dangerous enemy of Echo, but Dorian wasn't worried. Meanwhile, Echo was on the warpath.

Dani told Starr that she and Nate had a fight about his suspicions that Tomas was involved in Todd's shooting. Starr was stressed about the Deanna situation and worried that she's coming across as a bitch because Deanna is going through some issues with her mom. Meanwhile, James thanked Nate for letting him stay at his place for the night and wondered why Starr is having such an issue with Deanna ... until he saw Deanna. "You didn't tell me she was so hot," he said.
Todd made another mysterious call, saying that someone owes him big time. After, Jack paid Todd a visit (finally) and explained that he's been under house arrest. Blair explained what their son did to Shane. He was stunned and not happy with the news. Jack then said that Rex had some thugs beat him up and wondered what his dad was going to do about it. Then Jack ratted out Blair and told Todd that she slapped Jack after he suggested that Shane deserved it ... just like Marty. Much to Blair's surprise, Todd gave Jack a tender lecture about being a good person and regretting past mistakes. Todd admitted he knows what it's like to be a bully and also sympathizes with Shane because he's stepped off a roof before. Jack was surprised. Todd said he wants his son to be a man that everyone can be proud of. Later, Jack mused to Dani and Starr that the shooting affected Todd's brain and he's talking like some "sitcom dad." He took a call and dictated what other online threats his pals should make to Shane.
Shane and Gigi showed up for Shane's therapy session. Dr. Buhari wanted to have a private session with the parents instead. Meanwhile, Rex and Nat were on the phone and discussed the situation with the tape and Marty, who walked in on Nat just as she uttered Saybrooke's name. Nat laughed when Marty claimed she's back together with John. Back at the hospital, Dr. Buhari explained to Rex and Gigi that a mislabeled tape bearing Shane's name has gone missing. Gigi was forced to admit that she took it and tried to listen to it; Rex also admitted that he took the law into his own hands with regard to Jack. Meanwhile, Shane logged onto MyFace and saw more bullying. Rex and Gigi told Shane what they did. He was upset, adding that nothing has changed and showed them the MyFace threats. Everyone had changed their screen names so he doesn't know who they are.
John brought Tomas in for questioning. Téa reminded her bro (and client) that he doesn't have to answer anything. Tomas claimed his innocence. John presented him with the classified CIA file and asked him to explain. Téa asked for some alone time with her client and demanded Tomas to tell her what the heck is going on. He admitted that he'd done some things but worried that Téa would cast him out of her life if he told her what. Téa was rattled and thought the worst. Meanwhile, Nat asked John if it's true that he's dating Marty. He didn't deny it.
Back at the Ford pad, Nate was very helpful with regard to Deanna and suggested she stay with him on a more permanent basis until she gets things in order. Starr and Dani showed up later and were stunned by the plan.
Todd wondered if Blair is really dating Tomas and asked how she knows who he really is. Rex, Gigi and Shane encountered Todd, Jack and Blair in the hall at the hospital. Rex asked about Jack bullying Shane more; he denied it. Todd forced Jack to apologize to Shane, then threatened Rex that if he lays a hand on Jack again, he'll get the beating.
Nat overheard Marty, who was happy that the tape was returned, telling Dr. Buhari that no one else can find out what she did and that she's delighted that Nat is so miffed about her situation with John. When they left the doc's office, Nat swiped the tape again and left.
