On Memorial Day, ABC re-broadcast the ONE LIFE TO LIVE episode from Monday, June 18, 2007. You can see our recap of that day here.
Tuesday
Todd and Adriana were in a car accident. Michael and Marcie arrived at the scene. Marcie was stunned to see Tommy sitting in the front seat, with no child seat. Todd was knocked out. Adriana was conscious. She flashbacked to Gigi telling her that Dorian had wanted Gigi to break up the wedding. Marcie took Tommy out of the car. "Mommy's got you," she assured the child. Michael went to look at Tommy. "He seems all right," he said. Todd woke up and saw Marcie with his son.
Viki threw the Bon Jour souvenir across the room and told Gigi she was upset with Charlie. "I can't believe I did that," Gigi said about interrupting the wedding. Viki tried to comfort her and thought that maybe now she could get over Rex. Gigi reported that Shane was "over the moon" that Brody was with them. "Well, at least he's Shane's father, isn't he?" Viki said, thinking about Charlie's recent confession to her. Viki told a shocked Gigi that Charlie wasn't Rex's father. Viki was stunned that Charlie would lie about something that important. Gigi looked painfully serious, and tried to explain that sometimes it was hard to tell the truth. Gigi did her best to come to Charlie's defense. "He didn't mean to hurt anybody," she said, clearly talking about herself.
Charlie arrived at Rex's. Rex kept talking and wouldn't let Charlie get a word in edgewise. Charlie said he had never had an affair with Roxy. Charlie began to apologize but then Rex got a call from Adriana. The two men raced to the hospital. "Thanks, Dad," Rex said. Charlie winced.
In the ER, Rex wondered what Adriana was doing in Angel Square if she was just going out for eggs. Adriana tried to lie her way out of that, but Rex wasn't buying. Dorian charged in and said they were going to sue Todd. "I know what you did, Mom," Adriana said to her mother. "You never stopped trying to keep me from marrying Rex." Dorian was speechless; she couldn't believe that Adriana would listen to Gigi. Adriana broke down in tears. "You wanted Rex to leave me at the altar," she said. Rex walked in. "What happened?" he asked. Charlie walked in, eager to finish his talk with Rex. Dorian was stunned to see Charlie. Adriana asked Rex to take her home ASAP and had nothing more to say to her mother. Charlie told Dorian that he was about to tell Rex the truth. "No, you're not," she said. "I owe Rex the truth," he insisted. Charlie told Dorian that Viki already knows about Rex, and she'll soon learn about Jared. "Jared and I are ready to face the music," he declared. Charlie began to call Viki. To stop him, Dorian injected Charlie with something and knocked him out.
Back at their loft, Rex found his toothbrush in Adriana's bag and asked about it. Rex wondered why she had it if she was just going out for eggs.
Adriana tried to change the subject.
Marcie started screaming at Todd about not having Sam/Tommy in a car seat.
"You have no right to be his father," she barked. Todd crawled on the floor, and was put back in a hospital bed. He called Jerry at the newspaper and told him to buy a baby car seat, rush to the site of the accident and put it in the back seat.
Marcie called John and begged him to rush to the hospital. Marcie was so happy to see Tommy as she gave him a big hug. Michael was equally thrilled, though he worried that Marcie was getting a little too re-attached to Tommy. "If Todd isn't being released, we have to call Blair," he reminded his wife.
David arrived at La Boulaie, but was stopped by Sean. "Hide me," he begged.
David called Dorian the love of his life and apologized for not having come to her first. (He showed up at Viki's first.) David was stunned to learn that Dorian already knew that Jared wasn't a true Buchanan. David wanted to cut a deal with Dorian. He told her about Natalie and Jared's romance. Dorian panicked when David shared that Natalie and Jared plan to tell everyone the truth about Jared's identity. She took a call from Adriana and raced to the hospital.
Jared and Natalie kissed passionately. They talked about Operation: Full Disclosure and were just waiting for Charlie to tell Rex the truth. Much to their horror, they saw that David had escaped. Jared saw a note on the wall. "Off to rat you out," the note from David read. Jared and Natalie searched everywhere and wondered when and if David had spilled the secret.
Jared's phone rang. It was David. They had their chance to join forces and they blew it. "Now I'm on to bigger and better things," David said. Addie walked in on David. Addie pulled David in for a kiss. "What was that for, and can it get me arrested?" David asked, wondering why Addie seemed so lucid. He was stunned to learn that Addie wouldn't be returning to St. Ann's.
Jared came knocking at Dorian's looking for David. Sean was going to check things out. Jared barged in on Addie's yoga class. He asked for David, as David hid by the couch. Addie lied and said she hadn't seen any dangerous men around. Jared gave Sean money so he'd call him if he saw David.
Natalie asked Viki if she'd seen David. Viki said she hadn't but started to tear up when she told Natalie that Charlie had been lying to her for months. Natalie said she was sorry. Viki said it wasn't her fault, but Natalie said she had known about it.
Wednesday
Adriana dodged Rex's questions about why she had his toothbrush in her bag. She finally admitted she was going to take the toothbrush for a lab test.
Adriana tried to explain she was helping Rex out. "To make sure Charlie is my father?" Rex asked. Rex went to the trash and pulled out the fork that had Charlie's DNA all over it. He pointed out that she should have brought the fork with her for the DNA test. Adriana got defensive and then started to feel queasy because of the pain killers. She wanted to get some sleep, not talk about the toothbrush. Rex couldn't help but wonder what was really going on.
Gigi kicked Brody out because he was about to let Shane drink a beer. She smashed the bottle in the fireplace. Gigi pointed out that Shane is not Brody's "drinking buddy." "I hate you," Shane yelled at his mom. Brody suggested that Gigi take it down a notch. He begged Gigi to tell him what she wants him to do. Gigi said she had only lied about Brody being Shane's dad because Brody was dead — though she quickly added that she was glad he was alive and expressed her gratitude for what he had done for her 10 years ago. Gigi then came up with some ground rules.
Addie complimented David on his flexibility. Blair walked in on the two of them in a compromising situation. David wondered what was up with Starr when Addie said she hadn't spilled the secret. Blair explained that she just brought Starr home, who had just run away. Blair reminded her mother that Starr's pregnancy is a big secret.
Viki told Natalie that Charlie had lied about his son. Natalie let on that she knew about this. "Well, maybe you should tell me," Viki snapped. Viki became angrier and angrier as she tried to put the pieces together. Natalie said she suspected Roxy was lying about Rex's dad. Viki wondered why Natalie hadn't thought enough to tell her the truth. Viki called Rex and wondered if everything was okay. Rex clued her in on the trip to the hospital. He hadn't heard from Charlie since they left the hospital. "Something wrong, Viki?" Rex asked. Viki brought Jessica and Bree up to speed. Everyone wondered where Charlie was. Jess suggested that Viki call Charlie, which Viki did immediately.
Dorian injected Charlie with something that knocked him out, then she covered up Charlie's body. (He's not dead, just unconscious.) Faking a thick Italian accent, Dorian whisked the body out of the hospital and upstairs at La Boulaie. "Dorian, do you want to tell us what you think you are doing?" Blair asked with David by her side. Dorian tried to explain things but it soon became clear that Blair was talking about David's visit being bad timing for the Manning family. The men who had helped move Charlie's body rushed down the stairs with Charlie's ringing phone. "Viki," sniffed Dorian. David was asking questions. "Keep your mouth shut and you will be getting a lot of money in return," Dorian vowed.
Todd demanded that Marcie hand over "my son." Marcie refused. "You don't deserve him. You never deserved him," she barked. John and Michael arrived on the scene. Despite Todd's best efforts, the police already knew that there wasn't a car seat in the backseat of Todd's car. "Now you are the judge, I guess these two chowderheads are the jury," Todd sniped. John said that child protective services would decide if Todd was leaving with Sam. The child protective service representative came by and opted to take custody of Sam for 24 hours.
Langston walked in on Starr, who was very happy to be home. She asked her friend if she thought she was crazy to think she could raise the baby herself. Starr shared that Blair was really there for her when she found out about the baby. However, "Everybody's really afraid of my dad right now," Starr noted. Blair popped in on the girls and immediately got a call from Todd. He asked for her help. Blair told him to take care of Sam.
During a musical montage, we saw Dorian text Viki from Charlie's phone. Viki read the message, which asked for more time to explain about Rex. We also saw Brody teach Shane how to salute, Todd hand Sam over to child welfare and Marcie look sad. Meanwhile, Rex still wondered about the toothbrush, and Blair, Langston and Starr looked over some family photos. Finally, David looked around La Boulaie with a warm smile on his face.
Thursday
Dorian kept Charlie drugged in an upstairs bedroom. Blair walked in but thought Dorian was in bed with David. Blair was understandably confused when she then saw David in the living room. Dorian pretended David had slipped down the back stairs. "Just who is in your bed, Dorian?" David asked. He guessed that the body in her bed had something to do with "the goons who were here last night." David wanted details on the big deal; he thought everything had to do with that body upstairs. Charlie's cell phone rang. It was Viki. Dorian deleted the message. David asked Dorian if she knows who the real Buchanan is. Dorian boasted that she was responsible for all the troubles Buchanan Enterprises has been having. David went upstairs and tried to find out who was in that bedroom. Viki came by La Boulaie and asked to come in.
Earlier, Todd surprised Viki with news that he had spent the night at her home. He explained that Blair had kicked him out and he had been in a car accident with Sam in the front seat. Viki, still upset over the Charlie situation, had very little patience to deal with Todd's whining. He begged for Viki's help — he wanted her to plead his case to Blair. Viki said her life was full of problems and Todd was on his own. He reported that Starr had run away and things had "gotten a little out of hand." Todd wanted Viki to convince Blair that he was sorry for the mistakes he had made. Viki remarked that the "inner prince" he talks about doesn't exist. She told him to fight for Sam himself. Todd told his sister to go to hell. (Bad, bad Todd.)
Online, Starr and Langston read about Todd and Adriana's car accident.
Starr again thought Todd was unbelievably stupid. The pregnant one was very crabby towards Markko and Langston. Markko showed them a summons he had received. Cole got the same summons. Nora asked him questions about what he was hiding in his pocket. David delivered mail to Langston and Starr. "Your first summons," David said. "I'm so proud." All four teens were required to testify against Todd. Langston told her friend she was being a bit hormonal. Starr told Blair about Todd and Sam's car accident.
At the courthouse, Todd's lawyer tried to get him to calm down. Marcie and Michael showed up. Marcie made it clear to Todd that he would lose custody of Sam. She was the first to take the stand, and she described what happened at the car crash site. Markko was next, then Langston and Cole. It didn't look good for Todd. Todd interrupted but the judge insisted he be quiet. Cole explained that he and Starr had run away. Starr was the last of the teens called to take the stand.
Things were very tense between Nora and Clint. Clint didn't want to discuss the Lindsay situation with her. "She did it for me," Bo explained. "She was trying to help the company." "She's a murderer, Clint," Nora countered. Clint refused to defend his actions. Clint asked Nora to please end her vendetta against Lindsay. He didn't want Lindsay to come between them. Nora tried to warn him that Lindsay was dangerous and destructive. "I don't want your obsession to bring you down," he noted. Nora reminded Clint that Lindsay was a murderer "twice over." He suggested Nora find a better way to deal with Lindsay. Okay. "I'll dig up dirt on her and bring her down," Nora vowed.
Lindsay exploded at RJ for telling Nora she had given Clint the dirt to save Buchanan Enterprises. She asked her friend what is was going to take to keep his mouth shut. RJ asked her to give up. "Bo isn't mine to give up," she said. RJ was very upset that the Mendorra jewels were stolen from the gallery. Lindsay met Bo for coffee. She thought he wanted to tell her to move out. Bo told Lindsay that if she hides anything important from him again, it's over. "Never again," she promised. Bo headed out to the BE board meeting.
Friday
Natalie and Jared were on the phone commiserating that they hadn't found David yet. At Bree's pre-birthday party, Jessica told Natalie she was pregnant.
Meanwhile, Nash met with his vineyard investor. "You can't take it away," Nash pleaded. Jared was at the counter at the diner, listening to every word. He offered the investor all his money back. Nash wasn't interested but Jared tried to convince him it was a good idea.
Blair stood up to make a statement at Todd's hearing. She took the stand and explained: "I never saw him turn his dark side on his children until now. I don't think he's ever going to change." Todd then took the stand and explained catching Starr in bed with Cole. "I went a little nuts," he admitted. He went on to call Cole a sexual deviant who was trying to rape his daughter. He added that he thinks he cares too much. "I beg that you don't take my son away from me," he said. The judge issued his ruling — "I order that the child be removed from Todd Manning immediately," the judge intoned. Todd was furious and grabbed the social worker. The judge demanded that Todd sit down. Marcie's attorney stood up and suggested Michael and Marcie as suitable guardians. Todd blamed the McBains for setting this up and exploded inside the courtroom. Starr took the blame for Todd losing Sam. Cole reminded her that all this bad stuff was Todd's fault. Todd's attorney explained to the judge that Todd had worked hard to find his son. The judge said he would not put Sam back into the McBains' custody. Marcie began to tear up. Todd looked victorious. Blair offered to take custody of Sam, and shared her own experience in foster care. "I'm just a stepmom, but he is the brother to my children," she explained. "I have grown to love him as if he was my own." When Blair noted that Sam called her Mom, Marcie ran to the ladies' room and fell to the floor. Michael found her and held her. Marcie wondered how she would ever get past this heartache over Tommy/Sam. "All I ever wanted was another baby to love," she sighed as she and Michael headed back to the courtroom. Starr emerged in the bathroom. She had been there and had heard every word. Tears were streaming down her face.
Blair was granted custody of Sam. A wildly ungrateful Todd called her a slut in front of the courtroom.
Charlie remained knocked out in Dorian's bed. David kept trying to break to the room but Addie caught him. David asked Addie if she knew who was in there. Addie gave him a hairpin to pick the lock with. To distract Addie and keep her from letting Dorian know what he was up to, David pulled Addie into a passionate kiss.
Downstairs, Viki charged into Dorian's house. "Get on with it," Dorian said. "I need to see Blair and then I will happily get out. Do not mess with me today," Viki snapped. David ran down the stairs and was delighted to see Viki. Viki hoped David wasn't back with Dorian. She got choked up when she asked if they had seen Charlie. "Have you checked the drunk tank?" Dorian asked. Viki left. David asked Dorian what Charlie Balsom was doing in her bedroom. (He was just guessing, but still.) Dorian denied it was Charlie and David believed her. She claimed she didn't hate Viki enough to "imprison the man in my bedroom." Charlie's cell phone began to ring — it was Viki — and David wondered why Dorian wasn't picking it up. Then he saw Viki's name flash on the phone. A nervous Dorian left the room. "Why won't you clue me in as to what's going on?" he demanded. Dorian suggested he just trust her. Addie, dressed in red satin, pushed David into the living room. "I know what I desire," she cooed. David turned her down and answered the door. It was a smiling Jared.
Dorian crawled into bed next to Charlie. "Bet you could use a drink just about now," she said to the sleeping man. She began to pour vodka down his throat. She looked up to the sky and apologized to Mel, her recovering alcoholic late love. "Down the hatch," she resolved.
