One Life To Live Recaps

After running myriad tests on Téa, Greg was sorry to say that there's something wrong with her. Téa wasn't willing to hear it and tried to hurry out, but he had to deliver the devastating news: She has a brain tumor. Téa wanted surgery right away, but Greg explained that removing it could kill her. She was in complete denial when he told her it's only a matter of time (three to six months, to be exact) before the tumor takes her life.
In the park, an upset Danielle planted a kiss on her musical co-star, Nate. He asked her to slow down and tell him what's bothering her, so she vented about her confusion over Todd. He reminded her that she may be related to Todd by blood but she is nothing like him. They nearly kissed again, but Danielle thanked him for listening and hurried off. As Nate sat down to go over his script, Dani watched from the shadows.
Kelly ran into Blair in the hospital elevator while on her way to visit Todd. Blair reminded her that today's the day her and Patrick's baby died because of Kelly. Kelly pointed out that she knows what it's like to lose a child as well. They continued their conversation in the lounge, and Kelly confessed that she always felt that losing her own child was a way to atone for what she did to Blair. But she was tired of Blair looking at her as the person who killed her baby and begged for her forgiveness, suggesting that they start working together as family.
On edge about Rodney and Melinda's murders, Dorian was not very welcoming to Kelly's surprise visitor from England. Reed explained that he wanted to express his condolences to Kelly, then managed to pique her interest by mentioning David and how highly he speaks of Dorian. When Kelly later returned home, Dorian excitedly talked up Reed and handed her his business card. A funny smile crept across Kelly's face at the mention of his name.
John walked Cole to his cell at the Llanview PD and asked if he was okay. Cole swore he'd spend eternity there if it meant Todd would never hurt Marty again. Meanwhile, Marty paid a visit to Todd and demanded that he drop the charges against Cole. Marty became infuriated when he claimed he didn't push her and started shoving his hospital bed around the room. Before leaving him, she vowed that he'd pay for what he did to her. Later, Danielle waited outside her father's hospital room, then made herself known. Blair was walking past Greg's office when she heard a commotion inside and found Téa angrily tossing the contents of his desk around.
At the police station, Starr confronted Hannah about why she didn't automatically report seeing Todd push Marty after it happened. Hannah claimed once again that she was afraid of Todd going after her. Hannah gave her statement to John, who assured the anxious girl that Todd will likely be transferred to a cell once he's released from the hospital. Starr went to see Cole and insisted that Hannah is lying about what she saw.

Tuesday
Jessica and Clint passed by Brody on their way in to dinner at the Palace, but Jess wasn't very nice to Brody when he said he's looking forward to prom. At Rodi's, Rex showed the half-heart locket he had as an infant to Natalie, who was confident that Rex would track down his biological parents. At a nearby table, Ford scrolled through his cell phone and nearly stopped at Karen's number, then decided to hit on Gigi instead. Gigi awkwardly explained that she's spoken for. Karen, meanwhile, delivered a pizza to Langston and Markko, who pulled her aside to tell her he won't say a word to anyone about her night at the Palace. Karen was confused. Afterward, Langston imagined herself confessing to Markko about Ford and it going horribly wrong. After receiving a text from Ford, Langston simply responded, "'Nite."
Brody headed to Rodi's for a drink and ran into Natalie, who thanked him for being such a good friend. They started a game of pool, which of course, Natalie was winning. She gave him a few pointers as she griped about John's lack of faith in her. Brody wondered when she was going to give John a break, and admitted that he feels like prom is his last shot at winning back Jessica. Rex, meanwhile, thanked Gigi for standing by him through his struggle to find his parents, then received a call from someone in New Mexico with information about the pendant.
Dorian tried to talk up Reed to Kelly, who said it wasn't the worst thing in the world that he came calling. Meanwhile, Reed was doing a search on Kelly via Llanview's "Llannet" engine. Kelly explained to Dorian that she went out with Reed a few times because he's a Buchanan Enterprises client. Over dinner with Clint, Jessica explained that she's only going to prom with Brody so she doesn't have to go alone like some "dork." She proceeded to complain about Cristian and his "old" girlfriend, Layla. Reed stopped by Clint's table and it soon became apparent that the two knew each other in London. Reed resumed his research and learned that Kelly had just discovered a corpse in her office after the man tried to help her solve her mother's murder. Kelly arrived just as Reed closed his laptop but had second thoughts about approaching him.
Blair found Téa trashing Greg's office and asked what's going on with her. Blair guessed that Téa was just freaking out about Todd, so Téa went along with it and carried on about how Dani may never come around to Todd. Meanwhile, Danielle showed up at Todd's bedside and told him about how rehearsing for the play made her wonder if he's worth getting to know. He swore to his daughter that he didn't push Marty and asked her to give him a chance, but Danielle was still uncertain. Blair returned to Greg's office later on and saw Téa's chart on the desk. "Oh, my God," she gasped. "Téa's dying."
Wednesday
Matthew and Nora fussed over Bo as they escorted him home from the hospital. Matthew backed up his mom, who just wanted Bo to follow doctor's orders. Matt retrieved a package for his dad, who was surprised by Rex's gesture of a bottle of his favorite scotch. The note attached thanked Bo for saving his life. Bo said he feels like Balsom is a son, even though Matthew is his No. 1 son. Matthew smiled and told Bo that Rex is lucky to have him as a father figure. Nora lamented having to go to the courthouse to prosecute Cole later that morning. Matthew wondered if he'd have to testify, seeing as he was a witness to Todd's beating. Bo advised Matt that if he does, he just make a straightforward statement of what he observed. Before Matthew left for school, Bo told his son he can't wait to give Nora a wedding that will top the first one.
Over breakfast at Rodi's, Rex and Gigi decided to tell Shane about Rex's biological parents. One thing that wouldn't change, Rex insisted, is that Shane is Rex's son. Just as Shane pointed out that this means Roxy isn't his grandmother, a heartbroken Roxy was standing nearby. Rex assured Shane that she is still his grandmother for all intents and purposes, then looked over and saw Roxy there. Roxy couldn't help but rush over and give hugs to Shane and Rex after hearing the nice things they said about her. Gigi explained that they'll be going away for a few days to find out about this necklace and asked if Roxy could look after Shane. Rex was pleased to hear that Gigi wanted to join him. Rex and Gigi went home to pack, and Shane asked Roxy if he thinks his parents will get back together. Roxy had a pretty strong feeling they would.
Blair looked over the file she snatched from Greg's desk and quickly tucked it away when Elijah walked in. Eli sensed that she was hiding something and pulled the paper away from her. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Blair explained how she came across the file and Eli reminded her that stealing a confidential document is illegal. Blair assured him that she was holding a photocopy, and only brought the document home because she wants to offer her support to Téa as a fellow mother.
While catching up with his little sister at the Palace, Greg tried to get Destiny to open up about what happened at the school gym. She said it was horrible for everyone, but that it was the worst for Danielle. Destiny spotted Dani at a table with her mom and wanted to say hi, but Greg urged her not to, knowing what Téa is going through. Meanwhile, Téa was planning to tell Danielle about her tumor when Dani assumed that Téa just wanted to plead Todd's case with her. Destiny ran over with a friendly grin on her face to see how Danielle was doing. Dani shouted that Todd isn't her dad and never will be! As things escalated between Dani and her mom, Greg tried to defuse the situation. Dani ran out, so Destiny went after her. Greg asked Téa if she'd shared the news of her condition with Danielle, but Téa hadn't. She produced a file and explained that she'd gotten a second opinion and the other doctor agrees: Her tumor is fatal. Blair phoned Téa and asked to meet with her alone.
Marty met John outside the courtroom at Cole's arraignment and confessed that she feels like she set this whole thing in motion by coming back to Llanview in the first place. John assured her that none of this is her fault, especially losing their baby. Cole arrived and looked around for Starr. Marty said she was probably on her way. Cole revealed that Starr believes Hannah made up her story about Todd, and John wondered if Starr's theory holds any water. Marty wasn't too pleased to see that Eli sent a different attorney, Philip, in his place. Nora and Philip discussed their agreement, but Nora didn't think the judge would go for two years' probation. She was right: When they went to argue their cases, the judge wouldn't allow Cole's plea bargain.
Dani returned to school for the first time since Todd's attack, and Matthew found her sitting quietly in the gym. Téa, meanwhile, arrived at Blair's and asked why she wanted to see her. Blair told Téa she knows and handed her the file.
Thursday
Just as she was about to walk out of the Palace, Reed chased Kelly down. He recalled their history in London, which led to some flashbacks showing how they met. She was asked by Kevin to entertain a client, and Reed was immediately taken with her. Kelly flashed back to Kevin thanking her for her friendship, then her giving Reed a series of excuses for why she couldn't date him. In the present, Reed wanted to know why she won't take a chance now. When he tried to plant a kiss on her, she pulled back.
While Cole's arraignment was taking place, Starr visited her father in the hospital. The judge felt Nora's plea bargain was too lenient and would not condone "vigilante justice," arguing that Todd Manning would not be pleased with the outcome. Nora, John and Marty all sensed that the judge was biased, and Nora even asked him to recuse himself from the case. The judge scoffed at the idea, and after calling a sidebar, the lawyers proceeded. Nora called for assault and attempted murder charges, and Cole pleaded not guilty. Hannah showed up to support Cole, who was happy that at least someone came.
Back at the hospital, Starr and Todd put their heads together to figure out how to get the truth out of Hannah, and Starr ended up admitting that Hannah had overdosed on pills. Todd deduced that Hannah is crazy and they can use that against her. John arrived and accused Todd of bribing the judge. Todd insisted that he did no such thing, and Starr left with McBain. At the courthouse, Marty couldn't believe that Cole was going back to jail before his trial.
At school, Matthew tried to comfort Dani, who was still furious with her mother. Matthew was about to ask Danielle to the prom when he was pulled aside by Darren, who wanted to know if Matt planned to ask Destiny. Matthew assured Darren that he's not going after Des. Meanwhile, Nate showed up with a gift for Danielle: a new phone since she trashed hers in anger. Suddenly, Darren took the stage and asked Destiny to the prom with a song. She was embarrassed and not interested, but when he threatened to sing the entire Michael Bolton catalogue, she said yes to shut him up. The head cheerleader, Whitney, approached Nate and boldly asked him to prom, while Matthew was again trying to ask Danielle. After hearing Nate accept Whitney's invite, Dani decided to go with Matthew.
Blair confessed to Téa that she knows about her condition. Téa grabbed the confidential file away from her and tried to run out, but Blair stopped her. Téa confirmed that she's dying and asked if Blair had told anyone else. Blair was speechless as she recalled telling Eli. Téa accused Blair of being thrilled because this means she can have Todd all to herself. The women's bickering soon turned to tears and Blair pulled her frenemy in for a hug. Téa pointed out that it was weird that they're hugging. They moved their conversation outside and Téa admitted that she hadn't been able to find the words to tell Dani. Blair urged her to come clean with Todd as well. At that moment, Todd called and summoned her to the hospital. Upon her arrival, Todd was happy to see her, but Téa had something to share with him.
Friday
Eli caught up Blair on his crazy workday, but all she wanted was a hug after her difficult talk with Téa. She explained that Téa confirmed the news that she's dying, and it's stage IV brain cancer. Blair was afraid that Dani would have no one if Téa dies and Todd is sent to prison.
When Reed tried to kiss Kelly at the Palace, she pulled back and told him not to, because she knows she'll like it. He didn't understand the problem and urged her to just relax and have dinner with him. She told him about the murders and her fear that the next person who gets close to her will die. He said she's worth the risk and to stop making excuses. She finally agreed and they made plans to meet later.
Kevin was surprised to see his sister Natalie in London. They sat down to catch up and Natalie told him all about Marty's miscarriage and how Marty thought Natalie pushed her. Kevin pressed Natalie to think about whether this means she's really through with John. Natalie said she's too hurt by John's accusations and pointed out that he's with Marty anyway, so there's no chance of a reunion.
Marty couldn't believe Cole had been charged with attempted murder but tried to put on a brave face for Cole. Starr arrived just as Cole was telling Hannah that Starr had chosen Todd over him. Cole showed Starr his handcuffs and explained that the judge threw out his plea bargain. He asked her to tell him where she was, and she admitted that she was with her dad. Cole was furious, but she argued that her father is still recovering and needs her support as much as Cole does. Hannah stood silently in the background as Starr told Cole to blame Hannah and not her father for putting him in this mess. John comforted an angry Marty and assured her that he'll do whatever he can to keep Cole out of jail. Marty asked John if he believes Starr's claim that Hannah is lying, then heard Starr screaming at Cole and Hannah. Marty pulled Starr aside and said there's no doubt in her mind that Todd pushed her because of the veiled threat he'd made to her that same day. Starr pointed out that Marty didn't actually see who pushed her. Meanwhile, John tried to question Hannah about her claim, but Hannah insisted that she's telling the truth. John swore he'll find out if it's otherwise. Despite how angry and confused they both are, Starr declared her love for Cole. Before he was led off, he called out for Starr to tell Hope that he loves her.
Téa arrived at Todd's hospital room and closed the door behind her. She was ready to tell him about her cancer but he didn't want to talk about anything other than Hannah. When she told him to hold on, Todd assumed she still believes that he pushed Marty, which Téa denied. They finally got back to Hannah and Todd explained that the girl is unstable and took a bunch of pills. He said he's hoping for a second chance with Danielle and asked her to prove that Hannah is lying. Téa promised she'd prove it if Hannah's story is indeed false. Later, Todd was making a phone call inquiring about Hannah when she walked right in.
In New Mexico, Rex and Gigi got a room with double beds rather than a king size. Gigi smiled when the hotel owner referred to her as Rex's wife. He gave them directions to the jewelry store where his necklace was supposedly made. Before heading out, Rex was anxious about the possibility of finding his real parents, so Gigi gave him a pep talk. When they showed up at the shop, the sales girl mistook them for a married couple, making for yet another awkward moment. Rex showed her the pendant, which she recognized as something her grandfather might have made. Unfortunately, the jeweler had passed away, and her father didn't like to be "bothered." Gigi pleaded with the girl, explaining that Rex doesn't know who his parents are. Her father suddenly emerged and asked to see the necklace. After taking a close look at it, he seemed to know something.
