Monday
Rex was understandably thrown to hear Echo announce to several partygoers that she is his mom. He asked Echo to explain herself, and she claimed it's true, showing him the half-heart necklace. Dorian thought back to confronting Clint about the same pendant and offered to "shed some light" on Rex's conception. Clint looked nervous, and Echo barked at her to stay out of her personal affairs. Viki demanded that Echo start talking, but Echo stalled, so Viki started sharing for her, suggesting to Rex that Charlie may be his father. "The timing is right," Charlie admitted. Nora urged Echo to speak up, and to Clint's relief, Echo told Rex that Charlie is indeed his father. Bo stepped in and made the point that Charlie's not the only one who could have fathered Rex, then turned to Clint. Clint balked at the idea, but reluctantly agreed when Bo suggested they all seek a DNA test to separate fact from hearsay. Afterward, Clint threatened to make Echo pay — which Dorian overheard.
On the Palace rooftop, Kelly failed to sober up as she sipped her cocktail and left several awkward voicemails for ex-love Joey. With sincere fondness, she recalled being young and in love, losing their virginity, the connection they had and so on, finally admitting that she still loves him.
Blair was surprised to find Langston home so early and asked what's got her glued to her Blackberry. After making up a story about a school project, Langston finally admitted that she's giving Ford a second chance. She swore that Ford's up to the challenge of committing this time, and surprisingly, Blair had nothing but encouraging words to say. Upstairs, James tried to comfort Starr without granting her impulsive request to have sex. Starr was beside herself with grief and anxiety over how Cole's absence would affect their daughter. James urged her to take it one day at a time, then ducked into her closet to find "something to wear." When he returned, he was decked out in beach gear and suggested they pretend they're on vacation. While James asked her to imagine the waves and the sun, Hope's voice suddenly came over the monitor asking for her daddy. Meanwhile, Kelly stormed home and handed her phone to Blair, asking that she keep it away from her.
Ford returned home from the party to find Eddie searching for cash to pay his hooker. Ford was disgusted to see his father's company, but had to pay her off to get rid of her. Eddie asked Ford when he got so stuck up, suggesting that a girl might have gotten to him. Ford flipped out on his dad and told him to leave Langston out of it. Eddie tried to convince Ford that he'll always be a player, just like his dear old Dad. Ford assured his father that he's very unlike him, and that Eddie wouldn't know that because he's been absent for so long.
Tuesday
Rex stopped by La Boulaie and informed Kelly that Echo claims to be his mother. Kelly couldn't believe it, and Rex went on to explain that Charlie and Clint are his two possible dads, so they're all getting a DNA test done. Kelly asked Rex why he seems to dislike Clint so much, pointing out that he's been a great father-in-law to her over the years, then suddenly remembered that she'd left several drunken voice messages for Joey the night before! Rex headed off to the lab, while Kelly decided to clear things up between her and Joey in person and packed a bag for London.
When Clint didn't show up to the DNA lab, Echo called to berate him. She was saying how bad she feels about what she's doing to Charlie when Chuckles himself arrived. Charlie asked what she feels so bad about, and she covered by saying she regrets not telling him sooner that they share a child. She explained that she came back all these years later to figure out the identity of her son and should have told Charlie before all this came out at the party. Charlie asked if there's any chance that Rex is really Clint's son. Echo admitted that it is a possibility. Charlie just wanted to brace himself in the event that he's disappointed once again, confessing to Echo that he'd gotten very used to the idea of being Rex's dad when Roxy originally claimed that he was back in 2008. Viki walked up just in time to witness their close moment.
Dorian visited Clint's office and shared her theory that he's Rex's daddy. She recalled the necklace she saw Clint with a few weeks earlier, which greatly resembles the one Echo left with Rex at the hospital. Clint insisted that he is not Rex's father and showed Dorian the necklace she found him with at the airport a few weeks earlier. "This is a gift for Inez Salinger," he claimed, but Dorian remembered what she saw, and it wasn't that necklace. When Clint left to go to the DNA lab, she sneaked back into his office and made a beeline for the box on his windowsill. When Rex, Charlie, Echo, Clint and Viki finally convened at the hospital, Rex suddenly announced that he no longer wants a DNA test.
Bo dropped in on the Fords and flashed his badge at Eddie, making it clear he's the police commissioner. Bo reported that he'd done a little research on Eddie's past with the law and advised him to keep his nose clean while he's in Llanview. When Eddie realized Inez played a role in this visit, he wasn't too pleased. The more Eddie had to say about Inez, the more Bo was ready to run Eddie out of town. Although Eddie claimed he didn't beat up Ford recently, Bo advised him to keep his hands off James and Ford, and assured Eddie that he'll be watching his every move. After Bo's visit, Eddie called 411 to inquire about Inez's address.
At the LPD, Nora found Inez dropping a plant off on Bo's desk as a thank-you for dealing with Eddie, and suggested there's no reason for Inez to be giving him gifts and that she should just focus on doing her job well. Inez wondered if Nora had something else she really wanted to say. She asked if Nora's jealous and assured Nora that she's not after her man. Nora claimed she isn't threatened but after Inez kept asking what it is that has Nora so upset, she finally admitted that she thinks Inez has a crush on Bo. Inez balked at Nora's theory, but offered to just take the plant out of there and keep her distance. Nora tried to grab the plant back from Inez, and it crashed to the ground just as Bo walked in. Meanwhile, Brody seemed nervous when John said they need to talk. John told Brody he knows that Ford might be Jessica's baby daddy and commended Brody on not tearing Ford to pieces (guess he didn't hear about that scuffle at the student center!). Brody revealed to John that they ordered a paternity test with the amniocentesis Jessica had done. John said there's no way he'd be okay with raising another man's child.
At Llanfair, Natalie and Jessica both called the DNA lab to see if their paternity results are ready; unfortunately, neither was. Jessica overheard Natalie yelling at someone on the phone and asked what's got her so mad. Before Nat could answer, Viki returned home and announced that she has something very important to tell them. She sat her girls down and explained that Echo claims that she has a child with Charlie. The sisters were both shocked and thrilled to hear that Rex might be their stepbrother, and thought this was great news for Charlie. Jessica pointed out how weird it is that her baby and Rex are kind of in the same situation.
Meanwhile, Marty was holding a very incriminating piece of evidence against Natalie: her order for a paternity test. She suddenly put two and two together and realized that the test Brody had recently ordered suggests he's a possible father. Marty had hit pay dirt. She thought back to Brody's therapy session, where he revealed he'd been hiding a big secret, and just knew that her hunch was right. "All right then, who am I going to tell first?" she gleefully asked herself, then showed up at Natalie's door. She confronted Natalie about why she had that amnio performed. Natalie claimed it was for health reasons only, but Marty made a comment about how revealing they can be, which gave Natalie pause. She went straight to the LPD to warn Brody that Marty might be onto them. Meanwhile, Marty got caught up with Jessica, who argued on Natalie's behalf that she was just doing her job when she inadvertently sent Cole to jail. Marty could barely hide her resentment, then changed the subject and announced she's there to discuss Brody.
Wednesday
Todd and Téa spent the morning in bed after their Palace party and woke up to Shaun knocking on the door. He presented them with a wedding gift, and informed Téa that Greg's sentencing is today. Téa thought she should attend the hearing, but Todd didn't want her to go. Shaun apologized for his brother's actions and offered his bodyguard services free of charge anytime. Shaun left, and Téa suddenly had a terrible headache. When she went to take a pain pill, her hand started to shake and she dropped the pill bottle. Todd was concerned and wondered if this was a side effect of her poisoning, but Téa thought this had more to do with the psychological effects of her ordeal.
Greg showed up at the courtroom and faced his parents, who revealed that Destiny is not speaking to them. Destiny arrived shortly after but gave her grandparents the cold shoulder. Phylicia reminded Destiny that they raised her and that she is their daughter no matter what. Shaun rolled up just as Destiny was demanding to hear the truth about her dead mother. Greg repeated his story that Charlene fell during an argument about her. Destiny was horrified to hear that Greg hid her mother's corpse for fear that he'd be blamed.
Bo walked into his office to find Bo and Nora standing over the broken planter that they'd just been arguing over. The ladies tried to explain, but Nora excused herself to go to court for Greg's hearing. Inez cleaned up the plant's remains as Bo told her that things didn't go too well with Eddie. She assured Bo that she can handle Eddie herself, which made Bo wonder if Nora had said something to rattle Inez. Inez insisted that Nora didn't say a thing. A package suddenly arrived for Inez: It was a necklace from Clint, but she was hesitant to accept it.
As Dorian went through Clint's drawers at BE, an alarm suddenly went off. Dorian tried to get out of his office but the door automatically locked. Matthew came rushing in and asked Dorian what she was doing there, suggesting that she's plotting another BE takeover. Dorian bought Matthew's silence with a couple hundred dollars, but her visit clearly raised Matthew's suspicions. Before returning Clint's drawer key to its rightful place, Matthew turned to face the drawer and contemplated opening it.
At the hospital, Rex changed his mind about having the DNA test done to determine his parents. Viki tried to talk some sense into Rex, but Clint pulled Rex aside and told him he's not going to get any money from the Buchanans if that's what he's after. Rex was horrified, and told Clint he'd rather have the Prince of Darkness for a father (although it was unclear whether he meant Mitch Laurence or Satan). Clint threatened Rex into going through with the test, and Echo gloated to Clint that Rex will know the truth very soon. After everyone did their DNA swabs, Rex promised Echo this won't mean they're going to have a mother/son relationship. When Clint returned to his office, Matthew told him what happened with Dorian and Clint worried that she might have taken something. Matthew presented the necklace he found in Clint's drawer and asked if this is what Dorian was looking for. Meanwhile, Dorian showed up at Viki's and said they need to talk about Clint.
At Llanfair, Marty seemed poised to tell Jessica her theory about Brody and Natalie. Coming up with some excuse about her records being subpoenaed, she handed Jessica Brody's confidential therapy report and asked her to keep it safe. When Brody returned home, he found Marty and Jessica sitting there with his records and jumped all over Marty for compromising his privacy. Jessica was confused to hear Marty mention that Natalie had just an amnio, but Marty chickened out and didn't say why. When Natalie returned home, Brody showed her what Marty had dropped off, and they realized Marty's onto them.
Greg's sentencing got underway, and Nora presented her office's recommendation that Greg serve six years in prison. Todd observed from the back of the courtroom as the judge accepted the DA's offer. After heckling Greg on his way out, Todd complained to Nora about Greg only getting a slap on the wrist. Meanwhile, Destiny showed up at Téa's hotel room seeking a laywer to help her divorce her parents/grandparents.
Thursday
Upon their return from Paris, Gigi assured Cristian that she has no regrets about their kiss because it only made her more certain of her feelings for Rex. Meanwhile, Kelly phoned Rex to find out what happened at the lab and didn't tell him she's just arrived in London, just that she was "taking control." When Gigi dropped by Rex's loft, things were a little tense between the couple. Gigi realized she'd missed a lot while she was away as Rex revealed Echo's claim that she and Charlie are his parents. Gigi confessed that she kissed Cristian and that Adriana had been gloating about knowing all about Rex and Gigi's nonexistent sex life. Rex inadvertently admitted that he kissed Kelly and explained that he was drunk and upset because Gigi wasn't answering his calls, but that they stopped the kiss right away. Fortunately, Gigi and Rex were able to work everything out with a few passionate kisses.
Kelly knocked on Kevin's door in London and was greeted by a smiling Nevil, who directed her to "Master Buchanan." She walked into the sitting room to find Kevin reading the newspaper. Kevin explained that he'd just come back from a trip to Manchester and hadn't yet listened to the phone messages. When he went to grab the house phone, she tried to stop him and confessed that she'd left several drunken messages for Joey. After promising to not listen to them, Kevin pressed play anyway just to get a rise out of Kelly. He listened to all seven of them and realized that Kelly still carries a torch for his little brother. She apologized for hurting him, but Kev assured her that he's doing quite well with the ladies these days. She asked if Joey is seeing anyone, but Kevin said he wasn't aware of any ladies in Joey's life (although he had been out of town for a month or so).
John visited Blair at Capricorn to drop off a box that belonged to Eli. Cristian showed up for work and John left her with the mysterious box. Ignoring the box, Blair asked Cris about his trip to Paris, and he admitted that he kissed Gigi but they stopped themselves from making a giant mistake. After discussing his relationship with Layla, Cris playfully suggested they have a romp to ease their pain, which gave Blair a good laugh.
Matthew explained to Clint that he was only holding the necklace because he was resetting the alarm on Clint's private drawer. Clint explained to his curious nephew that that necklace is the key to protecting the family fortune and asked that Matthew pretend he never saw it. Matt asked if he can trust his uncle, and Clint assured him that anything he does he does to protect the family.
Marty phoned the DNA lab pretending to be Natalie and asked if her paternity results were ready. Brody and Natalie, meanwhile, discussed their predicament and Brody suggested that he have a persuasive chat with the shrink. John arrived at Llanfair and startled Natalie by coming in from the terrace, causing her to drop Brody's psych files all over the place. John bent down to help her and asked what she was doing with these files. She explained that she's just worried about Brody because of this whole paternity test thing, but promised not to look at the file. Brody showed up at Marty's to confront her about her little game. Marty accused Brody of playing games with Natalie and Jessica and threatened to blab to Jessica. Marty started to dial, but Brody called her bluff by claiming that he can access security footage at the hospital incriminating Marty. He returned to Llanfair to let Natalie know about his talk with Marty, who'd just summoned John to her door.
Dorian stopped by Llanfair to share her theory that she believes Clint is hiding something because he has the other half of Echo's necklace. Viki was unwilling to listen and said Echo's the one who's telling lies. When she showed Dorian the book of letters that were written by Blaze Pardee, Asa's grandmother, Dorian suggested that it's very likely Clint has a copy of that book, too. Viki didn't understand what Dorian was getting at, so Dorian had to spell it out for her: Clint is Rex's father. Viki decided to seek the truth from Clint himself.
Friday
Starr was rude to her father when he asked her to sign something regarding Hope's trust fund and suggested that Todd is delighting in Cole being in prison. Todd explained to Starr that he never trusted Cole because she's Marty's son. After they argued a bit about Marty and Cole, Todd persuaded Starr to sign the document.
Gigi and Rex kissed more passionately and admitted to one another that they'd both been ready to sleep together for a while. At Capricorn, Blair sang a sultry tune that accompanied a montage showing Langston and Ford canoodling at a table while Rex and Gigi got it on at his loft. After their exhausting romp, Gigi suggested they grab a bite at Capricorn. There, Blair decided to test Ford's loyalty by hitting on him, but Langston caught her and told Blair to stop embarrassing herself. When Gigi and Rex showed up and sat down at a table, they soon realized that getting out of bed was a bad idea and went back to his place for more sex.
Marty prepared herself to tell John something major over tea, but instead of spilling the beans about his girlfriend's one-night stand, Marty suddenly offered an apology and ushered John out the door. At Llanfair, Brody assured Natalie that he'd managed to scare Marty out of revealing the truth, but Natalie wasn't so confident. Jessica walked in and expressed her anxiety over was the impending DNA results, but Brody and Nat tried to comfort her. Marty stewed to herself over the secret she was keeping. Natalie met up with John at Capricorn, and he reported that he'd just seen Marty, who actually apologized for her behavior toward Natalie.
At BE, Clint was looking at a security badge that an employee sent him when arrived and asked what he's up to. She told him about the necklace Dorian spied him with, but Clint promptly pulled out the necklace and handed it over. Viki wondered if Dorian was right: Is Clint Rex's father? Clint explained that his private investigator dug this up and insisted that the DNA test will prove that he is not Rex's father. Vimal, the employee who procured him the badge, arrived and asked if there's something else he can do for Clint. Viki excused herself and Clint gave Vimal further instructions to make sure that only one man is identified as Rex's father: Charlie Banks. Clint chuckled as Vimal pointed out that what Clint's asking him to do is illegal and tempted him with a big promotion — if he alters two tests.
Echo stopped by Llanfair, but Charlie told her she'd better leave before Viki gets home. She wanted to let him know that she truly did not know she was pregnant when they had a fling years ago, and wondered what might have been had they stayed together. Charlie didn't answer, so she asked him if he ever thought they'd get married. Viki arrived home, putting a stop to the conversation, and handed Echo's necklace over to her. She repeated the story Clint told her about the P.I. finding it and told Echo to be on her way. Once Echo was gone, Viki asked what Echo wanted from Charlie, who lied that Echo was just asking if he'd spoken to Rex. Clint phoned Echo and threatened once again to make "something" happen to Rex if he finds out the truth. At the lab, Vimal swiped a key card and hacked his way into the Llanview Hospital computer system. He froze when a light shone on his face in the dark lab.
The next morning, Clint made a desperate call to Vimal to make sure that he did the job. Natalie arrived first to the lab for her DNA tests and came face-to-face with a grave-looking lab tech. Jessica, meanwhile, presented the envelope containing their results to Brody. They kissed and declared their love for each other before nervously opening the envelope, while Natalie looked at hers alone. Ford dropped by La Boulaie to tell Langston that he had a great time with her on their date. Langston was concerned that he might have been disappointed that they didn't have sex, but he assured her that he's cool with taking things slow. Good, Langston told him, because they won't be having any sex. Todd showed up at Marty's with a court order barring her from seeing Hope, while Clint was the last to arrive at Rex's loft for the reading of the paternity results. As Rex slowly unveiled the document, Clint looked very nervous.
