One Life To Live Recaps
OLTL Week of November 23, 2009
Monday
Schuyler walked in and saw Stacy's pregnancy padding. Kim lied and said it was to protect the baby. "There's no baby," Schuyler said. Kim continued to make up more stories. Schuyler threatened to go tell Rex and Gigi about what he had just seen. "Unbelievable," Schuyler said, and remembered that Stacy had kept stem cells from a kid to "bag his father." Kim told a stunned Schuyler that she had had a miscarriage. "I'm sorry," Schuyler said. "Are you okay?" he asked Stacy with great concern. Stacy blamed Gigi for her recent miscarriage. When Schuyler suggested it wasn’t fair for Rex to think Stacy was pregnant with his child, Stacy showed Schuyler her real pregnancy tummy. Schuyler couldn't believe that Rex would have had sex with Stacy again. Kim told a stunned Schuyler that he was the father. "You drugged me. I knew it," Schuyler exclaimed. "It's not my proudest moment," Stacy admitted. Schuyler didn't remember having sex with Stacy. He remembered hallucinating. Stacy reminded Schuyler that he murmured Gigi's name when they were in bed. "Stacy you told
me we didn't have sex," he said, more confused than ever. "My baby," Schuyler sighed. Kim suggested he forget about the one night stand.
Natalie was stunned to hear that Mitch was alive and well. Roxy walked in on the conversation and collapsed when she learned about Mitch, insisting it must be a mistake. "He killed Jared," Natalie said. "Mitch fooled all of us," she added. Natalie recounted the events leading up to Jared's death. "He even had someone dig up Nash's grave," Natalie cried. Rex wondered how this could have happened, then he told Natalie that Mitch was his father. "I don't make stuff like this up," Rex added. Natalie was disgusted by the thought of Roxy and Mitch together. When Roxy tried to leave the room, Natalie grew even angrier when she realized Roxy knew Mitch had been alive this whole time. Roxy left the room and began sobbing hysterically in the hall.
Brody and Jessica came home. Jessica told him she couldn't talk to her mom that night, and worried that Natalie would have to suffer as she got through her grief. Brody said that they'd take care of her, reminding her that she was allowed to hurt. Jessica didn't agree. "Quit hovering," she exploded at Brody. Jessica started to sob as she explained she was still grateful she came back from Napa with her life intact. "It is not wrong to be grateful you dodged a bullet," Brody consoled her. "Let me take care of you the way you'll take care of me," he said as she fell into his arms. Brody and Jessica took a shower and held each other before they fell asleep.
In prison., Mitch talked to a mystery person and gave him/her detailed instructions. He then wrote a letter to Jessica, signed it "Dad," and gave it to the minion to mail. "Go with God," he said.
Danielle asked Greg if he knew Todd. Greg told Rachel they needed to get Dani "someplace else." Rachel told Todd that Téa was in the hotel across the street. When Dani thought that Todd "looked demented," Rachel tried to explain that it wasn't that simple. Dani wondered how much Téa could have cared for this guy (Todd) if he didn't even know "she had a kid." Dani asked Rachel lots of questions about Todd, questions that Rachel wouldn't answer, then left the waiting room and headed to the hotel.
At the hotel, Ross practically strangled Téa but she managed to escape from his clutches for a minute. Todd entered the room seconds after Téa fell to the floor and almost whacked Ross with a piece of wood. Téa regained consciousness. "Todd?" she asked in disbelief, then coughed as she insisted that Todd go away. "You guys have a kid together?" he asked Téa and Ross. "She's mine, isn't she?" Todd asked a stricken Téa. Ross goaded Téa into telling Todd the truth. "I don't want to hear any more stories," Todd said calmly. "We have a daughter, don't we?" he asked. Dani burst into the room and into her "father's" arms.
Dani and Ross caught up on things and exchanged "I love yours." Dani assured Ross that she didn't believe a word of what Téa had told her about him. Ross warned Dano to never, ever trust Todd. "I'm not who you think I am," Todd told Dani, "Ross is not your dad."
Tuesday
Bo waved Rex into his office. "Mitch Laurence is my father," Rex blurted out. Bo thought that was a bad joke. Bo wondered if Roxy was telling him the truth. Rex admitted he had hoped his father would be someone like Bo. "You are nothing like Mitch Laurence," Bo insisted. Bo didn't think Rex should speak to Mitch. Bo gave him a big hug.
Clint told Viki she was the new mayor. "I'm going to make a statement," Viki said. Viki headed to the door and was peppered with questions. After a few remarks about Mitch Laurence, she said she would not be able to serve as Llanview's mayor. "My daughter has lost her husband. My husband has lost his son," she said. "It would be unfair to this city and to my family to serve as mayor," she added.
Langston assured Markko that Dorian wouldn't find out that Markko voted for Viki. "I'm a dead man," a panicked Markko said.
Dorian polled the staff at the diner. "You lost, Dorian. Live with it," Carlotta said as she left the kitchen. Moe refused to tell Dorian who he voted for. Dorian reminded him that she had given him her house. Dorian remained committed to finding out who that one voter was. Dorian stormed into her kitchen.
Markko told Dorian that it was his fault she lost the election. Dorian was very upset to learn that. "A huge disappointment for me," Dorian said, exasperated. Langston thought that perhaps it was time for her to focus on David. "Go to London," Amelia chimed in. Dorian thought maybe they were right. "I'll help you pack," Langston said as Dorian hugged them both. Dorian ran to pack, very excited to be going to London. On her way out the door, Amelia got a call telling them that Viki had just vacated the mayor's seat.
Schuyler couldn't cope with the news that Stacy was having his baby. Gigi called him and asked what the update was. Kim thought there was more leverage in Schuyler thinking that he was the father, not Oliver Fish. Stacy remained adamant that Rex would eventually love her. Kim thought that things would work out for everyone if Schuyler just pretended that Stacy's baby was Rex's. "What are you going to do when the baby is born and it looks just
like me?" Schuyler asked the young ladies. "We can both have what we want," Téased Stacy. "I can't do this," Schuyler said. Moments later, Schuyler said he wouldn't tell Rex and Gigi about the baby on one condition: that they don't tell Rex that Gigi had spent the night as his place. "I feel dirty already," Schuyler said as he left the apartment. Schuyler called Gigi and told her their secret was safe.
Téa tried to keep Todd from telling Danielle the truth about her father. "Ross is not your dad. I am," Todd told a stunned Dani. "I have a dad and we're leaving," Danielle said as Ross smiled. Téa didn't want Danielle to leave with Ross and promised her daughter the truth. Téa showed the marks around her neck but Dani refused to believe Ross had caused them. Ross reminded Dani of all the wonderful things he had done as her father. "I would die for you," he said. Téa pointed out the scratches she had put on Ross' face. "Now do you believe me?" Téa asked. Dani pulled away from Ross and called the police. Ross said he shouldn't have done "that to your mom.” The police showed up and said they'd be brought to the precinct on spousal battery and suspected kidnapping. The police handcuffed Ross and Todd. Téa handed Todd the DNA report. "Congratulations. It's a girl," she said.
Noelle assured Gigi that she hadn't done anything bad. "Do you have a thing for Schuyler Joplin?" she asked. Gigi dodged the question. "I care about him," she said frankly. Gigi told Noelle that she hadn't told Rex about that night because Rex had just learned that Mitch was his father. Rex showed up and gave Gigi a big hug.
Oliver was ready to get defensive about being gay with a co-worker but soon learned it wasn't necessary. Kyle brought him lunch and was touched that Oliver called him his boyfriend. The two kissed and agreed to spend Thanksgiving together.
Wednesday
Starr, Hope and Cole were in the kitchen preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Starr worked on the turkey as Cole played with little Hope.
Instead of going to London, Dorian wanted to serve the residents of Llanview, and anxiously awaited the City Council’s decision about who would succeed Viki. Starr defended her Aunt Viki for resigning the position due to family obligations, suggesting Dorian would do the exact same thing if she was in Viki's shoes.
Amelia showed up. "Congratulations, Mayor Lord," Amelia said with a smile. "YES!" Dorian screamed as she hugged everyone. Starr didn't feel like celebrating because of what was happening with Viki and Charlie.
Viki was glad to see Charlie when he came home from an AA meeting. Charlie was surprised that she stepped down as mayor. She apologized for not having told him before she told the reporters. "I hope you are not doing this on my account," he said. Viki tried to explain this wasn't the time for her to start such a very big job, and reminded him that Jared had forgiven him. Viki offered to help him forgive himself. They hugged.
Viki remembered that it was Thanksgiving and was clearly distressed that she had made no preparation. Moments later, Mo and Noelle arrived with turkey and all the trimmings. Viki was delighted to welcome Rex, Gigi, Shane and then Dorian, Starr, Cole and little Hope into her home. Shane and Rex offered their condolences to Charlie. Rex said that Jared was proud to be Charlie's son. Clint showed up and got a big hug from his girls. When Dorian informed Viki that she was the new mayor, a gracious Viki congratulated her.
Back in Llanview, Nora checked in with Rachel and Matthew, who were still in Seattle. Nora told Bo that her heart was breaking for Clint. "His son-in-law was just murdered," she said sadly. Bo and Nora both felt guilty that they were so happy and in love while Clint was so sad. Clint walked in on their hug. "I know what's going on," he said as their mouths dropped open. Clint told them that they would rather be in Seattle with Matthew. The Evans family showed up at the door with an entire Thanksgiving dinner.
"Don't unpack the food," Clint said as he went to do something.
Gigi reminded Rex that Jessica was his sister, and thought that was the one good thing that came out of the reveal that Mitch was Rex's dad.
Jessica and lots of hugs for her daughter Bree. Brody showed up with a musical stuffed turkey. Natalie walked in on all the hugging and felt bad.
When Kyle found Roxy talking to Morris the porcupine, he invited her to join the Cris/Layla/Oliver/Kyle Thanksgiving but she said she didn't want to be a sixth wheel. Later, the foursome enjoyed a nice meal.
Felicia told her husband that she still wasn't talking to Greg because he had taken up with his brother's girlfriend. Shaun wasn't ready to forgive him, either. Mr. Evans reminded them that perhaps they should reach out to the Buchanans instead of holding a grudge against Greg and Rachel.
Matthew was disappointed that he hadn't felt anything in his legs yet. Gregory had to tell him it was possible he wouldn't walk. "Thanks for being honest," Matthew said. Rachel, Greg and Matthew were eating some hospital food when Bo, Nora and the entire Evans family showed up in his hospital room. Greg told his dad that he was going to pursue Rachel whether Shaun or his mother like it or not.
Viki read a poem in Jared's memory. Destiny dropped a fork on Matthew's leg and he felt it! Then Matthew wiggled his toes, to the joy of Bo, Nora, Rachel and the Evans family. Renee looked at a photo of Asa and toasted him with Nigel. Roxy joined Rex, Gigi and Shane at the diner.
Viki had a big hug for her daughters. While Charlie was cleaning up the living room, he eyed the wine. Destiny put Matthew's new sneakers on him. Bo and Nora hugged and almost kissed.
