One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of October 29, 2007

Monday

Natalie/Cristian and Sarah/Jared continued their kissing contest at the Palace. Natalie tried to explain to Renee that Jared had started the showdown. Renee suggested Natalie should rehire Jared in Asa's memory. Natalie couldn't believe what Renee was asking her. She practically accused Renee of being a fool for falling for Jared's charms. Renee stunned Natalie with the news that Jared was now living in the Buchanan mansion. Cristian explained some of the not-so-nice things Jared had done to Natalie, Jessica and Nash. Renee continued to defend Jared and became quite angry with Natalie's attack on him. Renee added that she thought Jared had been brought to her by Asa.

Charlie gave Viki a nice big tip, which Gigi immediately noticed and teased her about. Viki decided to ask Gigi some questions about the men in her life.
Gigi declared her son Shane was No. 1 in her life. Viki told Gigi about losing Ben "way too soon." Viki listed the qualities she'd like in a man, including a great laugh. At that point, Charlie's laugh stopped their conversation. "Ladies and gentlemen, I rest my case," Gigi said as she left for the kitchen. Noelle returned to the diner with Shane in tow. Shane had been in a fight; the boy said he'd been called a bastard by his classmates. Gigi reminded her son that his father had been a Navy Seal and had died a hero before Shane was born. Charlie offered Shane some advice on how to defend himself. Viki and Gigi were completely charmed by Charlie's interest in the boy. Charlie coyly admitted to Viki that he was a nice guy. Viki almost blushed. She offered to walk Charlie over to the motel where she is now living.

Blair refused to give Rex and Adriana any updated information about Tommy.
Rex and Adriana tried to explain Marcie's behavior to Blair. Blair wasn't buying any of their explanations, and accused Adriana of siding with the enemy. Blair was concerned when she realized that Todd and John were together. Rex tried to convince Adriana not to feel guilty. Adriana said she was more scared about what might happen. She feared for their lives if Blair ever found out how far in advance they had known about Tommy's parentage.

In Decatur, Marcie and Tommy hid out at Harvey's club. Meanwhile, FBI agent Lee landed in the same bar. Marcie and Tommy were whisked out of the main room as Harvey, dressed in drag, distracted Lee. Marcie was frantic when she realized that the FBI was in the room. Meanwhile, Lee asked the femmed-up Harvey if "she" knew Harvey. "Oh, yes I do. Intimately," she laughed. Harvey disclosed who he was to Lee, but quickly lied that he'd never seen Marcie. Harvey allowed Lee to look around the club. Lee charged into the dressing room, where we saw Marcie dressed as one of the drag queens.

En route to Decatur, John reminded Todd that he was calling the shots. John was getting inside information on Lee's whereabouts from Warren. Todd made himself annoying by continuing to ask, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" Todd took Blair's call. Blair suggested he and John split up. Todd didn't think that was such a good idea, as John might get to Marcie first. Todd told Blair that John smells like a wet dog. Blair ignored this and told Todd both their kids were convinced Todd would never come home. The phone call was then disconnected, which allowed Todd to started teasing John about his relationship with Marty. John didn't let Todd turn on the radio. Instead, "Let's talk about your faux marriage to Blair," John intoned. Todd insisted the marriage was real.

Tuesday

Rex overheard Adriana making an appointment with an OB/GYN and panicked at the thought she might be pregnant. He then noticed that Adriana wasn't drinking. Rex tried to get Adriana to tell him about the pregnancy, but she talked around it. She assured him that she would never make an important decision without discussing it with him first. Adriana left for the ladies' room while Rex continued to worry about the possibility of becoming a father. He discovered she had a doctor's appointment in her PDA. Rex continued to dig around for answers but Adriana wasn't offering up any details. She left to pick up something at Layla's while Rex continued to wonder why she wasn't telling him she was pregnant. Adriana raced over to tell Layla about her project. Apparently, she's not pregnant — she's coming out with a line of maternity clothes called Hot Mama. Meanwhile, Rex told Roxy she's going to become a grandma.

Langston didn't know if she could be a part of Starr's family. Starr assured her friend that they really wanted her to be a Manning. Langston worried that she might be sent back to the group home. "It's all going to work out,"
Starr assured her. Cole and Markko came by to celebrate Halloween. Markko pulled Langston aside and told her he wasn't the man she thought he was. He confessed that scary movies "creep me out." Meanwhile, Starr and Cole grabbed some alone time and kissed.

A man with a scary death desk mask entered the diner and prevented Marty from leaving. Blair entered and also saw the masked man. Marty wondered if Blair knew who it was, then asked if Blair would keep her posted on the Todd/John trip. Blair didn't feel like being her best girlfriend. Marty responded, "Well, we don't have to exchange makeup tips." Blair assured Jack, again, that she and Todd loved him very much. The man (or woman) with the death mask was later seen looking through the living room window at Langston, Markko, Cole and Starr watching a movie.

Miles helped Roxy host a Halloween party in Angel Square. Jack told Blair that he didn't think Todd cared about him anymore. Jack wondered if he would have to share a room with the new baby and continued to express his concern that Blair and Todd wouldn't have time for him, or for Starr for that matter. "You already don't," he noted. Marty found Miles and accused him of being the man in the death mask. Miles denied it.

Ramsey barged into the dressing room at the club. Marcie, in full drag, kept a low profile. John and Todd entered the club. "Let's just find Marcie and Tommy before Ramsey does," John advised. John and Todd showed photos of Marcie to the people at the club. "Like I told the other guys, no," said one of the clubgoers. "What other guys?" John asked in a concerned tone. Ramsey left the dressing room. Marcie panicked and asked Harvey to help her make a quick escape. Ramsey ran into John and Todd. "The curtain just came down on you two clowns," he said. Clarence and Harvey did some bonding with Marcie and vowed to be there for her. Marcie got choked up when she started talking about Tommy and what a great kid he is. Harvey told Marcie she'd have to hide "in plain sight." Ramsey began tearing apart the dressing room and was thisclose to Tommy, who didn't say a word. Marcie performed a number from Dreamgirls with Harvey and Clarence. Todd and Ramsey didn't recognize Marcie in her sequins and blonde wig — but John did.

Layla couldn't help but notice that Talia had been trick-or-treating with Antonio and Jamie. Antonio told Vincent that he thought Talia was better off not dating Sean. Vincent raved about Talia to Antonio, who sort of agreed.
Jamie designed a wedding dress for Talia, which was quite embarrassing for the cop with a crush. Talia, Jamie and Antonio left, which gave Layla and Vincent some alone time to kiss. Talia and Antonio awkwardly said goodnight.

Wednesday

John didn't know what to do when he recognized Marcie as one of the singing "drag" queens. When Marcie spotted him, she began covering her face during the performance. Todd wanted to leave the club. "Cher" performed while Todd, Ramsey and John had a sort-of-civil conversation about why they happened to all be there at the same time. Ramsey claimed that because he was heading up the investigation, it wouldn't "turn into the bloody fiasco that cost Caitlin her life." (Editor's reminder: Caitlin is John's late fiancée.) Ramsey brought Todd up to speed on the Caitlin saga. John was so angry he started a fight with Ramsey. When the performance was over, Marcie told Harvey she was convinced she had been recognized by one of "the men out there." Lucky for her, the John/Ramsey fight caused a rumble which resulted in the local cops arresting everyone. Marcie escaped in the chaos.

Marty suggested she and Blair join forces to keep Todd and John from killing each other. Blair laughed at this suggestion. Todd called Blair and asked for $25,000 bail to get everyone out of the local prison. He explained that John had started the fight. Chastened, Blair agreed to join Marty and head to Georgia. "Book a flight," she said.

Natalie and Cristian shared their Halloween candy. Natalie was haunted by images of Jared as a devil. Devil Jared kept distracting Natalie as she tried to talk with Cristian. Her conversation with the air confused Cris a great deal.

Jared walked Sarah home after their date. She invited Jared in for some hot chocolate. Jared was distracted by images of Natalie as a witch and had imaginary conversations with her. He kissed Sarah, but when he pulled away he imagined he was kissing Natalie. Sarah wondered if she should go to Asa's will reading. Jared encouraged her to.

"Death" watched Cole, Starr, Langston and Markko watching a movie and spooked them. Starr was convinced she heard something. "The sound wasn't right," she insisted. Langston, Cole and Markko tried to show Starr that all she had seen was a plastic bag, but she wasn't buying that explanation.

Thursday

At the Bon Jour, Viki was full of morning cheer. Gigi had told Noelle and Mo that Viki left work the previous night with Charlie. Viki was shocked to realize they thought the two had slept together. However, Viki got a kick out of the giggles and the girl talk. Charlie came in for breakfast and the giggling continued. Charlie wondered what was up and Viki tried to play it cool. Charlie overheard the conversation between Viki's co-workers and offered to defend her honor. Charlie told her that when people tease you it means they like you, and he suggested she tease them back. Viki shared with Noelle that she didn't want to pursue anything with Charlie because she didn't want to go through losing someone again. Moments later Viki was seen making small talk with...you guessed it, Charlie.

Jessica and Nash were startled to see that Jared was living in the Buchanan mansion. Renee explained that Jared was there because he felt he was in the way at Jessica and Nash's. The couple tried to warn Renee about the evils of Jared, but she would have none of it. "And stop talking about him as if he's not in the room," she declared. Renee explained that she likes having Jared around. "He brings some new life into this house," she said as she headed out to pack for her trip. Jared thought it was wise that Jessica didn't give Renee the back story about Tess' affair with him and how she put him in jail. Nash warned Jared about toying "with that grieving woman or I'll mop the floor with your head." Jared made it clear that Renee invited him to stay because "she's a genuine, nice lady." Nash said he understands Jared because "I was you," but he quickly added he would never take advantage of a grieving widow. Sarah charged in to the living room. Clint asked Jessica why they all didn't like Jared. Sarah immediately invited Jared to come with them to Texas. Renee thought it was a lovely idea. Clint told Jessica and Natalie to calm down.

Natalie told Sarah her relationship with Jared had to stop. Unfazed, Sarah continued to pack for the Buchanan trip to Texas and wasn't planning on taking any of Natalie's advice. Natalie warned Sarah that she doesn't know what Jared is all about. Sarah didn't care. "What do you think Grandpa would think of Jared?" Natalie asked her young cousin.

Clint and Nora got a good laugh over the fact that he had woken himself up with his own snoring. Dorian came in and asked what was so funny. Clint asked Dorian to go to Texas with him. Dorian declined but was concerned when she figured out Clint and Nora would be flying to Texas together. Clint reminded Dorian that they'd be on the family jet, packed with Buchanans and kids. "Nora and I will chaperone," he said. Clint thought maybe Nora could find out why both Jessica and Natalie were so anti-Jared.

Nigel talked to a photo of Asa. "What on earth am I supposed to do with what I know about David Vickers?" he asked. He explained that only Max Holden knew the secret, but not so — viewers will remember that Alex overheard that reveal several months ago. Flashing to the present, Alex asked the receptionist at Dreamland for David Vickers.

Langston was very excited to tell Starr that Blair might be named her foster mother today. Starr was concerned, though, because Blair was out of town and wouldn't be available for the interview. Blair had left Dorian in charge. Langston hoped they could come up with a plan to postpone the interview. Starr called her aunt. "We have a problem," Starr explained, and brought Dorian up to speed. Apparently child services was coming to check out Dorian's house in an hour. Dorian rushed in and hoped they could make things work.

Cell mates John and Todd were surprised to see Blair and Marty show up together. "Looks like we got here just in time, Marty, before they upped the charges to attempted murder," Blair quipped. Blair said she wouldn't bail Todd out unless he came back to Llanview with her. John made plans to continue after Marcie, but this time Todd wasn't invited back to his car. Blair reminded Todd that things were falling apart in Llanview. Marty and Blair left for a private conversation. Todd told John that Marty has the hots for him. John didn't respond. The gals returned and the jailer said their bail had been posted. Blair announced that she and Marty would be accompanying Todd and John on their search for Marcie and Tommy.

Friday

Viki decided to work a few extra hours when Charlie entered the diner. Noelle thought they were cute as pie. Viki was covering for Gigi who was taking Shane to the doctor. Noelle thought Charlie liked Viki. Viki reminded Noelle that she had known Charlie for "one whole day." Mo told Noelle not to fill Viki's head with all that romance stuff. Charlie promised to clean his plate for Viki. He didn't answer her question when she asked about the project he was working on. He later explained it was boring. Charlie asked Viki out on a date. "Death" looked through Dorian's living room window as Dorian was giving Starr and Langston the once-over before the people from Child Services arrived. Dorian wondered why Langston had those horrible streaks in her hair. Cole and Markko came by to offer moral support. All four teens very politely welcomed Miss Woodrow and her boss, Mr. Preston. Dorian escorted them into the living room. Dorian had to explain that Mrs. Manning wasn't there. Mr. Preston said that was a problem. Dorian explained that Blair was called out of town for a family emergency. Dorian had all of the paperwork that was signed by Blair and notarized. Preston said they couldn't proceed without Mrs. Manning. Dorian begged that they approve Blair's application pending an interview. Preston wondered if Mr. Manning supported his wife's petition. Preston then rejected Blair's application. The teens got upset. Langston refused to return to the group home. Dorian said she'd be Langston's foster mom. Langston couldn't believe what she was hearing. "I want to," Dorian insisted. She assured them she knows what she wants right now. Dorian reminded Langston that the girl made a stable home for herself for over a year. "You are one of the bravest people I have met," Dorian said. Dorian and Langston agreed that the other was a handful and "not so tough." They hugged and the teens went out to celebrate. Cole met them as he left his cell phone at home. He headed out and "Death" followed him. Alex was stunned to see that David was working at Dreamland. David seemed surprised and delighted to see her. Alex asked why David was working. He said he was hit with a conscience: He was trying to be a better person for Viki. David shared he was shocked to learn that taxes were taken out of his paychecks. Then he explained he was flat broke. Alex smiled, knowing that David was really a Buchanan. She then confessed that she was a sex addict. Alex told David about her recent past with men and boasted that she was now a wealthy woman. David doubted Alex actually had an addiction; she just needed to be satisfied. David reminded Alex not to do anything hasty. "Like give all your money to charity," he quipped. Todd asked John how much longer they'd be in the car. With Blair and Marty in the back seat, the bickering quadrupled. John was pretty sure that Ramsey wouldn't know that Marcie was heading to New Orleans. Todd asked Marty why she was there. Marty said she wanted to be there to see John beat up Todd. Squabbling ensued. "Knock it off. You are giving me a headache," John yelled as their car swerved off the road. While John worked on the car, Blair and Marty decided to call a truce. Marcie knocked on a door in New Orleans. She and Tommy were welcomed by a nice couple and their son. Marcie was so grateful that Clarence had set up this next stop for her. She then sat down for a nice home-cooked meal with the family who took her in. The conversation turned to Hurricane Katrina. They explained they lost everything they had in the storm and this house wasn't their original home. A sympathetic Marcie asked how they were dealing with things. "It's not easy," the father said. Marcie said she was just beginning to realize she had lots to be grateful for. Wendell got a call to pick up some folks on the interstate (that would be Todd and company) and Marcie was planning to go with him for a ride to the store. Uh-oh.
