OLTL's Ron Carlivati To GH
By SOD Posted: Jun 13, 2011
OLTL Head Writer Ron Carlivati has released a statement confirming that he will indeed be joining the writing team of GENERAL HOSPITAL after OLTL wraps in January, saying: "It has been my distinct honor to write for Agnes Nixon's groundbreaking soap opera for the past fifteen years, and it will be with a heavy heart that I, along with my incredibly talented team, pen its finale. At that time, I am happy to announce that I will then be joining the writing team of of GENERAL HOSPITAL and am thrilled to be working once again with Executive Producer Jill Phelps as well as new Head Writer Garin Wolf.”

I hope he can fix GH. I'm sorry to say but after being a huge fan for 30+ years of all the ABC soaps, (Gh was my favorite) but now I don't even watch it. I only watch OLTL. General Hospital is the name of the show and needs to go back to the way it was with a ER, Greys, House type story lines. Sonny and the mob, Carlys drama, Spencer drama all need to be rotating storylines like the show used to do, but with the Hospital at the center. The police station has been a part of the story for decades ( Hello! Robert & Anna Scorpio, Fresco) now we have Mac. There is no reason for the police not to be more involved. I like Jason and I like Sonny, but I am sick of there cry baby drama.
Since OLTL has become so wonderful I am hoping for the best with changes to come. Good Luck, cause lets face it, if one of the new shows doesn't bomb GH will be history by the end of 2012.
