I agree she does deserve to be happy but that snippy pain in the butt son of hers needs to be slapped & I'm thinking Janet may be the one to do it...........He is one spoiled brat, no wonder Carly drinks!

When will Carly be happy? Heck, you could ask that same question about nearly every character in Oakdale. But on this show, misery is what drives 95% of the stories. Any time a woman gets pregnant, the baby dies. Marriages, more often than not, don't last more than a few months. Beloved characters get rewritten and turn criminal. It's just constant pain and misery. There's never anything light hearted or any upbeat adventure stories on ATWT. The writers revolve everything around pain and make no attempt to find some kind of balance with less tragic stories. Carly brings most of the misery on herself with her actions. I like her but I've given up on her ever getting her act together.

True, but i can't give up on Carly. It's just not in me. But i do agree with your point about ATWT being turned into The Misery Show. Are they so afraid that no one will watch if their fave characters are actually happy or something? It's so sad and something needs to be done about it ASAP.

I hate that when Maura has a baby the writers make Carly such a wreck...so now she will come back from rehab and be right back to where she was when she had the last baby...trying to prove to everyone she is a good mother and loves her kids...yes just let her be happy...I love Maura and Jon together ( no matter what Craig did) just give them a storyline where Carly is strong and in the right for once!

I know! I love LOVE Craig and Carly together. Especially Jon's Craig! He's fabulous and I love how he seems so truly in love with Carly. If Carly can't be with Jack then it's totally Craig for me. I love Jack and Janet together. Though what the heck did they do to her hair? It looks like a wig!?! Janet is beautiful make-up and hair...make sure you keep her that way! I so hope hope hope that Carly comes back and is strong and self-assured and marries Craig!!! Let them have some fun for a little while...run Metro, do their Vodka thing and let Carly start a design house. Meg has the angst thing all tied up.
