Rachel Melvin(Chelsea) and Darin Brooks(Max) have both asked to be out of their contracts. In Darin's case, he has chosen his pilot television series for Spike Network, he has optioned out of his contract. The character of Max is said to be recast.
Rachel Melvin also optioned out of her contract. She feel its time to get out of the soap business and move onto primetime and/or movies. The character of Chelsea is also said to be recast.

Wow I knew Melvin was leaving but I didn't know Brooks was. Thats crazy. I liked them both. They are good actors. Figures Days loses the real stars! Thats the writing for ya! I wish them both well. Hopefully if they do recast its desent actors. Good Luck Rachel and Darin on your future careers!
