omg right when Erica took Ian to see Kendall in the hospital I was thinking what about poor spike why cant he see his mom. That was just wrong. I think Ryan is a BAD parent. I see him interact with his kids for minutes at a time and then to the room for ever and always. I like Annie as a mother way better and Ryan didnt even know Emma was his kid and since when do judges give anonymous SPERM Donors custody over kids???? That was crazy. If it wasnt for Annie coming to that city Ryan would never be the wiser. He should have no rights unless he was married to the mother.

Yes They were but are not now. He was married and technically at best was the stepfather legally , and biologically yes but not legally since he donated his sperm and relinquished all rights to said sperm or the product resulting from its use.

You know, I think those idiots actually believe that they are making Ryass look like a good, devoted, loving dad with this story....The thing is, he's not...He's choosing one sperm donation over another...He's choosing Emma over Spike.....He's not doing whats in the best interest of either child and it seems its more about making sure Annie never sees Emma again and that he has complete control...If Ryass was shown to get Emma into therapy.....If he would stop making Emma's lying and blackmail seem like it's okayIf he would be shown to worry about Spike not seeing his mommaybe, but since day one, Ryass has been shown as using those kids as tools to control & manipulate their mothers...Ryass took Spike out of his bed, his home, away from his brother and the only "REAL" daddy he had and used him to try to get Zach to spill about what he was doing..Ryass own words and actions play against him.."Tell me what your doing and Spike can stay".....Unbelievable...Telling Erica, Emma comes first, while forgetting that he has two kids, not one..It's okay to put your kids first and you should, but he's not doing any good for either child...Ryass should have never been given parental rights.....Ryass telling Annie that she was the one who lied in their marriage was a big WTF for me...He never loved her...He married her to get his hands on his sperm donation daughter, then basically dumped both of them to chase after 2 married women..After driving Annie insane, we saw Ryass dump Emmabot off to Opal on X-Mas eve....so that he could bang GL in Annie's home...We saw him basically ignore Spike while Kendall was in the coma..Ryass is not a father....he not a hero.....he's just a waste...and this is what TPTB are placing their hopes on for the future...What a joke

Her brother was perhaps the trigger which made her lose control of her coping devices. She murdered him in cold blood, but we're supposed to forget that I guess. Ryan however, did her no favors by his harsh treatment of her. Instead of treating her with compassion, he flaunted his relationship with Greenlee and took her daughter away from her in a cruel manner. Please don't misunderstand, Annie is still a vile cold blooded killer and child abuser, but if this show was written by people with any social conscience or talent Annie would be in prison and off our screens and Emma would not be subjected her abuse, Ryan would have had his daughter in therapy, and Kendall would home with her family and Spike would be in a loving family and looked after by his real dad, Zach. As far as I'm concerned, it's all Annie's fault. Is Ryan a joke as a father and hero?...yes. Men treat women vilely on this show and the women are dumbed down to accommodate that vileness. If I ran ABC, I would be ashamed to have my company logo on this show.

The worst part of this whole Ryan saga? The writing is so bad, and the characters are so destroyed, that it ruined the actors for me.I know Cam is a nice guy, and is very likeable. I actually met him once many years ago in NJ. Seemed really nice and charming ( and WAY easy one the eyes) But because Ryan is so poorly written, everytime I see Cams face, all I see is Ryan. It breaks my heart, because I can separate the two. But in this instance, I am having a problem with it. And that is after a year of not watching AMC> Cheers!
