I can't believe it but just read that Soap Net is going off the air in 2012. Is this another sign that Soaps are on their way out? I know you can DVR your soaps but I became a fan of One Tree Hill and OC and so many other shows because of Soap Net. It is a very sad day I think. But I guess they have all run there course. There will never be another Luke and Laura and they seemed to have stopped writing for the audience a long time ago. I am so sorry to see it all fall to the wayside but I can't see losing Soap Net being good.

I only have cable for Soap Net. I like watching my soaps but what about other shows. Gilmore Gilrs, Being Erica, All the 90210 that you can take in a weekend LOL. This is sad news.

I have to say Saturday morning I hate to get out of bed so I lay in bed for a little while and watch the old shows. It truly is how I became a One Tree fan. I had no idea what it was until I started watching on Soap Net and now I am a huge fan. So sorry to see it all coming to an end. What a shame. It was nice that us fans had a place to go to watch. I loved it when they had the talk show too. I loved watching our stars but even that started getting old. Will miss it.

why doesn't someone create a Classic Soaps Channel showing reruns of all the cancelled soaps..... Edge of Night, Search For Tomorrow, Another World, Guiding Light as well as the old prime time soaps. Like a TV Land for soaps.

That would be awesome. They could also include the great primetime soaps like Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, and Knots Landing. I know I would watch that channel faithfully.

I used to watch Soap Net all the time. Now i just use it (as I did the other day) when my soap was pre-empted by weather reports so I could watch in the evening. However, there is nothing special about Soap Net anymore. It used to be filled with Special soap weeks showing classic soap episodes...., Who wants to be a soap star, Soap Talk, lots of interviews with soap stars, all soap opera related stuff. I coudn't wait to see what was on each week. But seriously, do I need to watch the gazillionth rerun of 90210 - or watch recent shows that I didn't watch on their first go round on network TV. The network had little to do with soaps anymore and so I will hardly notice it's gone.Another Brian Frons disaster..

Soapnet did run these shows. One by one, they took them off air...probably because the rights ran out. I loved catching the old Knots Landing! I wanted to BE Donna Mills!....LOL Sex as a aweapon, baby!Would love them, miss them all.
