I hope it's OK for me to do this, but I just noticed that you can now buy and read SOW in a paperless, online edition at http://zinio.com. They've had Soap Opera Digest for a long time, and now they apparently have SOW available too. The price is amazingly low, and I like my SOD online subscription better than a paper magazine, because it's keyword searchable, it's cheaper, and you can keep them forever in your computer if you want, without haivng to keep magazines around the house taking up space, Check it out at http;//zinio.com. I have had SOD at zinio for several months, and I'm planning to buy an online subscription of SOW later today to go along with SOD. Both SOW and SOD are great values here. Hope it's OK for me to advertise this for you guys, if not just let me know !

Thank you, LC! I just went right over and subscribed myself! So..... let's hope they don't have a problem with it since they just made a sale!

Tomorrow that will be 3 sales. I'm just waiting for the next issue to get online to start with that as I already have this one. I knew they were going to do this but I thought we had a longer wait. This makes me very happy!

I thought we had a longer wait, too! LOL! That's awesome. I'm so glad you're all subscribing.

The ONLY problem is that I can pick up the mag at my newsstand the day before the digital edition comes out. Still, I LOVE the digital edition, it's so convenient, cheaper and faster than the subscription edition (I JUST got last week's issue in today's mail). I'll just have to get used waiting that extra 24 hours to get the magazine. And I can always flip through it at the store.... which is not bad since I'm still paying for my copy!

I find it fascinating how/when stuff gets on various newsstands vs. when it gets to people via mail. I know there are some newsstands that get our magazines incredibly early in the week and others that don't get them until it's practically time for the next week's issues. I'm glad the digital option has been made available!

I know what you mean, maybe the term "snail mail" kinda fits sometimes.

And then I think that turtle slowly makes it to my house lol.The digital version works great for me as it is on newsstands here on Fridays, the same day I can get the digital version. Once on a blue moon the print subscription might arrive on Friday but it was far more likely to be Monday or Tuesday of the following week so I much prefer this. And yes I subscribed today!

Is there anything slower than a snail? Sometimes I get two SOD at the same time, so one is really late, sometimes both.

The short version of the explanation is, the newsletter is a bonus for folks who get the hard copies. Also, I'm told the digital and paper subscriptions are administered separately, so there is no sharing of information.
