I had thoght the recent hire of GL scribe David K. was a tip off that there might be some GL characters making the move to ATWT , just they did when another Proc.& Gamb. show, nbc's AW, was canned ( Jake, Viki and ...?? moved over). Now I get the impression that it won't be happening ( was all my own speculation in the first place)...
Any buzz, interest or ...concern... about that happening or not? Oakdale Does seem well populated now , I don't know if it could fit in more than two characters.
Given how much space Reva would need ( and deserve) my feeling is that the best fits which would benefit the show the most - and could make the most seamless transition - would be Buzz & Lilian ( Justin Deas and Tina Sloan).... no doubt some story between Buzz and Margo & Tom H. might be in the offing(JD was the original TH)...Lillian could oversee work at Oakdale General...
In any case I look forward to seeing both those actors in other roles if not on ATWT.... sooner than later....
Speaking of AW, I am looking forward to Judi Evans start as the new character "Maeve", which should start this month or next. SO glad someone woke up and got her great talents onboard ATWT, she will be a big plus and will draw some new viewers , from AW and Days .....
As much as I love GL's Jonathan, I want him far, far from Oakdale. Because you know he'd hit town and fall for Alison or Meg!
I'm not a fan of bringing GL characters to ATWT. We already have a huge cast. I'd rather they focus on the characters they already have.
I think the ATWT cast is too large as it is especially with all the newbies. They need to trim some of the cast rather than adding to it. If the rumors are true and we are in fact going to start seeing more of the vets in October, then there certainly isn't room for any of the GL cast. I'm more excited about former ATWT cast members returning since the show is in the fight for it's life. I love that Molly is returning and wish they could get Jessica to stick around. I'm sorry that GL actors are out of work and that their fans won't be seeing them but right now I think Oakdale needs to look like Oakdale and stop bringing on newbies.
In the NYT article about Crystal Chappell on the GL board ( the link to it is there) , it says she suggested to P&G to move "Otalia" to ATWT, but they didn't go for it.As I said in the GL post, Good for her and her team for picking up the gauntlet and moving to the web with her "Venice" project...which will no doubt be up for an Emmy nomination next year...
The sad part as I understand it is nobody has figured out how to make money on a soap on the web. From what I have heard the actors on Venice will be working for free. So the big key is figuring out how to produce a soap on the web where you can pay actors and make it profitable and so it is more than somebody's hobby. Emmy's don't mean a think if you can't make money.
not exactly what i thought would occur ( and it could still happen) but that's great news- that x- GL'sTom Pelphrey is joining the cast ...maybe he'll ( his character, Mick) have a connection to Molly's return....
i am SO SO happy about Tom coming to ATWT. even though it's as a new character,i knoww he'll do great. i looove him. as long as he stays on the soaps,i'm happy. /i WISH otalia would come to ATWT too. at first i thought the pairing was kinda boring but now i love it as well. they are both so good at portraying it.

i would LOVE if some of GL's characters came to ATWT. like Bill,Lizzie or James. all are such great actors. same with Daisy or even Jonathan,he could run away to Oakdale any of GL's characters would be great on ATWT.
