Because ABC is cutting costs by pre-empting new AMC with old AMC episodes. They'll tell you it's to get new fans up to speed with current story, but that wouldn't be the truth. They tried to get the writers' union to reduce the total number of episodes they've committed to paying the writers for by 20, and the union refused to amend the existing contract, but that doesn't stop ABC. They're just going to reduce the total number of new episodes anyway, though maybe not 20/year.I don't trust ABC at all, but I'll say this: with the quality of AMC episodes this year, especially under these new HWs and after the move to California, I can't say I miss AMC today, other than my need to see Zendall.
