I'm over 70, and remember "Guiding Light" since it was a radio soap when I was a child. I no longer care about the characters, since the story lines border on incest - Reva's sister and Josh, Tami and Jon (1st cousins), Harley and her niece's fiance etc. And Alan never seems to pay for any of his crimes....he has too much influence for an ex-con. I just can't watch it anymore. 
I JUST FINISHED WATCHING GL AND REALLY COME TO CONCLUSION THAT THIS HAS BECOME VERY VERY BORING. THE SHOW SHOULD JUST CHANGE THE NAME TO (COUPLE SWAP) THIS ALL THE WRITER'S KNOW THERE'S NO ACTION THIS SHOW NEEDS THE SANTOS BACK AND FAST BRING SOME ACTION
Yes, please bring back Danny Santos, and his family. Bring back Marrah and Shane, and Phillip. Even if they have to hire new actors, as long as they stay true to the characters maybe be could adjust to the new faces. We really need the old Guiding Light back. The current storylines are terrible and there is not one truly romantic love story on the show at the moment.

I agree. I haven't watched it quite as long but I agree completely. Bad story lines, great actors once, but awful now. I am having a hard time turning on my TV.
