I just read the Emmy Noms and even though I was slightly annoyed and confused by some of the nominees, there were a few that I was excited to see made the cut.

I really hope Sarah Brown (ex-Claudia, GH) takes home the Emmy. I know a lot of people hate the character of Claudia, but I miss having her on the show. She was a completely horrible character, but Sarah Brown pulled it off in away, that made me want to see what Claudia was going to do next. I think GH made a huge mistake by bringing an actress like Sarah Brown back on the show and then kill her off.

I also hope that Drew Garret (ex-Michael, GH) takes home the Emmy. Even though he was an annoying, cocky brat....I enjoyed watching his portrayal of Michael. But I am starting to warm up to the new Michael.

So, good luck Sarah and Drew....hope you bring the trophy home!!!

And I would like to add that I am very disappointed that the Academy did not recognize OLTL for being an Outstanding Drama nominee. That, to me, is a huge joke. To put AMC up for an Emmy, which has totally sucked this entire last year, and not recognize OLTL for all of the groundbreaking stories is just crazy. I honestly don't get it.

I am confused how they decide who is a lead and who is supporting. OLTL Jessice is not a supporting actress as far as I am concerned, she is storyline driven. Also AMC-Crystal is not a lead to me, when was the last time she had a storyline. And I am shocked that Starr from OLTL wasn't nominated. Also did anyone notice all the younger actors nominated are no longer on the shows they were nominated for, weird. Also how could OLTL be left out but AMC is for Best show, please. Again hate the Emmy process. Not one GH guy nominated in the best actor. Please!!!!

I noticed that too, about the younger actor category...how everyone except one actor is even on the show they were nominated for anymore. And you are so right, when is Starr going to get recognized for all the work that she does on OLTL? And I also agree with you about Jessica....as much story as she gets on the show, why is she put in the Supporting category?

And I am so glad I am not the only one that thinks that about Krystal. First of all, what did she even do last year to be nominated? The only person that should have been nominated from AMC is David Canary or Alicia Menshew, but neither one of them was even mentioned. The nomination process is always so damn disappointing. There are always so many people that are left out....and then we are forced to see the same names and shows get nominated year after year.

I'm sorry, but OLTL is THE ONLY show that kept me tuned in every single day, last year...and has continued to do that for me this year....So, why weren't they nominated? Every year they ignore the great talent on that show....Todd, Blair, Tea, Starr, Marty (even though she normally gets a nom), Cole, Dorian, Rex, Stacy, Kyle, Oliver, Clint, Nora, Matthew and Bo are all characters that could have easily taken home a nom for their work last year.

Agree 110%. OLTL won best show last year I believe and not even a nominations this year. Silly. That show was the only one worth watching. And I really am tired of the same actresses being nominated and winning. Phyllis from Y&R is nominated as lead actress but don't really think she was a lead this year. The whole process is silly and a complete waist of time. I have said it 100 times they really need to improve the process. There is only 7 shows left now right and with ATWT going off air in September cant you nominate a person from each show? I don't know but got to be a better way.

Unfortunately, OLTL wasn't nominated last year either. B&B took home the award for the first time. It was AMC, B&B & DOOL, in the category. As astonishing as it sounds, OLTL hasn't taken home the Outstanding Drama Series award since 2002. I've watched AMC, OLTL & GH for some time now....but OLTL is the one show that I have watched rain or shine, come hell or high water...because the show is just that damn good. IMO And to have AMC nominated this year is nothing but a complete total joke. This goes to show everyone that can buy yourself a nomination.I have always thought that the Emmy's should have one person from each show nominated in each acting category. It would make it more competitive and more fair. Instead of having to watch the same show with the same nominees...year after year. I love Michelle Stafford and all, but good Lord, the woman is nominated almost every year. And as far as the shows go....Hell, there are only a handfull left, why can't each show go up for the nomination....and let the best one win. And for me, that winner should be OLTL.

I love Michelle too but not really sure this year her work was lead. She was good but not sure. I feel the same about OLTL. Can't believe I have slept through that one.

I do not watch OLTL, but agree about the nominations. Michelle Stafford is a great actress, but she didn't do anything spectacular for her to be nominated and neither did Bobbie Eakes (AMC). Days Alison Sweeney should have been nominated for her performaces over the Grace/Sydney storyline. Alot of people think the Emmy's are rigged, I have to agree, because its always the same people. You were right when you said one person from every show in every category should be nominated. That way its fair for everyone.
