Y&R Week of December 29, 2008

Monday

Jill stopped by Cane and Chloe's place with gifts for the pair. Soon Billy
arrived. Chloe presented everyone with scarves she'd knitted. Billy then
gave her a onesie for the baby that said, "I Heart NY," on it. Chloe
recalled meeting Billy in New York City. Jill gave her sons a photo of them
with Kay and reminded them that family comes first. Later, after Billy and
Jill left, Chloe's baby kicked. Esther was thrilled to feel Chloe's belly
and promised to be a great grandmother. She then cried and asked Chloe to
forgive her for not being there the way Chloe wanted. Chloe agreed and
embraced her mother.

At Crimson Lights, Devon and Roxanne questioned Lily about her mysterious
text-messaging guy. Lily didn't divulge that "Sonny" is actually Billy.
After, Lily told Colleen the truth. Coll gave her pal her "blessing" to date
her Uncle Billy. Later, Billy arrived and Colleen warned him not to hurt
Lily. He promised he wouldn't. After, Lily admitted to him that she's not
completely over Cane, but would like to give her and Billy's relationship a
chance.

Murphy informed "Marge" that she can't be Katherine Chancellor because Kay
is dead. He then showed Kay the obituary. Kay argued that she keeps having
memory flashes and doesn't feel like she's really a waitress. She concluded
that she survived and it was Marge who'd died. Murphy wasn't so sure. Kay
begged him to take her to the Chancellor Estate so she could see if she
remembered anything. He did, and she remembered the gate code to get in. She
also recalled where the key was kept. Murphy used it to open the door for
her. "Welcome home, Mrs. Chancellor," he said. Inside, Kay didn't remember
everything, but spied Jill's photo and recalled having a daughter. She
couldn't wait to be reunited with Jill. She asked Murphy to wait with her,
but he didn't feel he belonged in a place like that. Kay wanted to still be
friends with Murphy. After he left, Kay admired the tree and thought of
Christmases past.

Jack called Sharon and asked if he could bring by a gift for Noah. Sharon
told Jack that she had a present for him, as well. After, he arrived at the
Abbott mansion. Sharon told Jack that she's giving him back the Abbott
mansion and is moving out. He was saddened that she wanted to leave. Turns
out his gift to her was going to be a shopping spree with a designer so she
could decorate the manse the way she wanted. He promised to give it to her
if she decided to return home.

Nikki and Noah joined Phyllis and Summer for the holiday. Nikki stressed how
important it is to spend Christmas with family. Soon, Victoria, Nick and
J.T. joined them. Vicky noted that Nikki seems happy now that she's living
with Paul.... Nick gave Phyllis a beautiful diamond bracelet as a gift.
"I really want us to be okay again," he explained. "I've almost forgotten
about Paris.... almost," she replied. Phyllis then gave him a GPS system,
explaining that it was so he could always find his way back home to her.

At the Newman Ranch, Ashley fixed Victor some hot chocolate. He sadly noted
that it would've been the due date for his and Sabrina's child. Ashley was
sympathetic; he was happy to have Ash there with him. He asked if she wanted
to join him at the family gathering, but she didn't think it was appropriate
yet. Ashley suggested he go without her so he could be with his kids and
grandchildren. Later, Victor arrived, just as Nikki was leaving. Victor and
Victoria bonded as they discussed how much they miss Sabrina.... Later,
Nikki went to visit her horse in the stables. She was surprised when Victor
showed up. They shared an awkward meeting as Nikki expressed her relief that
he was out of jail and he replied that he was going to meet Ashley. Nikki
returned to Nick and Phyllis's place, where her kids and grandkids gave her
their gift. It was a photo of her grandchildren. "I'm a very lucky woman,"
she declared.... Victor returned home with Zapato, and was greeted by
Ashley. She presented him with four glasses — two representing them; one
representing Sabrina ... and one representing a much-older Abby, who'd
returned home. "My how you've grown," Victor stated. No kidding! Victor
loved his "present."

Jill returned home and wondered why the front door was open. As she stood by
the mirror, she spied Kay's image in it and gasped. She then whirled around
and saw Kay in front of her. "Mother?" Jill whispered.

Tuesday

At Crimson Lights, Kevin lamented the bad things that have been going on in
his family's life. Jana reminded him that there were some good things, too,
like watching little Fen enjoy the holiday. Jana then handed him an
envelope ... that contained an apology for giving the money to River, as well as a little "gift," with the promise of more to come. After, a little girl came to donate her allowance to the coffeehouse's holiday charity drive. Kevin and Jana were touched by the kind gesture. "Maybe there is some good in the world," stated Jana. "It's when they grow up that everything turns to pot."

At Neil's place. Tyra thanked him for giving Ana a keyboard for Christmas.
Neil and Karen then discussed their upcoming wedding. Karen asked Victoria
to be her matron of honor. Vicky happily accepted.... Nosy Olivia asked Tyra
if Tyra was upset about Neil marrying Karen, but Tyra insisted that she was
fine with it. Liv replied that Tyra seemed to be hiding her feelings. After
all the prodding, Tyra confessed that she was attracted to Neil but
respected the fact that he loved Karen. Liv disagreed and stated that Karen
isn't his type and Tyra is. Later, Karen asked Neil if he was only
marrying her to help with the Ana situation, but he assured Karen that he
really, really wants to tie the knot because he loves Karen. Of course, at
that exact moment, Liv encouraged Tyra to share her feelings with Neil. Tyra
didn't think this was a good idea.

Daniel and Amber recovered after enjoying a passionate Christmas together.
Daniel then gave Amber an amusing gift — a framed, autographed picture of
Dr. Drew from the radio show she and Daniel frequently called in on. She
then gave him her gift — a cool-looking black jacket that she made. After,
Jana called Daniel to settle up their plans for the evening. Neither Amber
or Kevin was thrilled to see one another, given that Amber still believed
that Kevin was responsible for Kay's death. Later, the Fishers joined them.
The couples managed to be cordial, but then Amber presented Kevin with her
gift to him — a copy of Kay's memoir, along with an e-mail Kay had written,
praising Kevin for being such a nice guy. Kevin gave the "gift" to Jana.
After, Daniel and Jana left Kevin and Amber alone. Kevin demanded that Amber
quit accusing him of killing Katherine.

At Chloe and Cane's, Esther wondered what Chloe's baby would look like.
Chloe replied that her daughter would probably look like a mix of everyone.
Esther thanked them for helping her get through Christmas without Katherine.

At the Chancellor Estate, Jill was shocked to see Kay standing before her.
She happily embraced her mother, but couldn't believe that Kay was alive.
Katherine explained that she was with her friend Murphy, which confused
Jill. "I remembered who I was, all of a sudden," Kay said. Jill still didn't
believe it. "You're not Katherine Chancellor. You're not my mother," she
cried and accused Kay of being Marge. Kay insisted that she is indeed
Katherine. However, when Jill quizzed her about certain things, like the
date of Jill's birthday, a still-confused Kay couldn't remember. Kay kept
saying that she was in her home; Jill replied that the "crazy, old lady"
belonged in jail and summoned the police. When a cop arrived, Kay kept
saying that she's the real Katherine Chancellor. Jill wouldn't buy it,
though, and explained that "Marge" was a con artist. Kay argued that it was
Marge who died, but Jill still refused to believe this. Unfortunately, Kay
didn't have identification on her and couldn't remember her birthday — or
the fact that she has two grandsons, so she was looking pretty guilty. Jill
called Cane, then demanded that Kay be arrested. She was dragged off in
handcuffs, all the while declaring that they were making a "terrible
mistake." Later, Cane and Esther joined Jill. The ladies filled in Cane on
Kay's history with Marge. Jill was shaken over having seen "Marge" and
called her cold-hearted,. Esther defended Marge, recalling that the woman
did have a heart, but sympathized with Jill. Meanwhile, Kay was taken to the
prison, where the guard couldn't believe how much "Marge" looked like
Katherine. Kay couldn't understand why she was being thrown in jail.... Jill
blamed the memoirs for being the reason that "Marge" got the idea to pose as
Kay, and was furious with Amber for publishing them. Esther tried to talk
sense into Jill and reminded her that Kay wanted them published.

Kevin visited Gloria in jail and told her about Amber's accusations toward
him. "There's nothing I can do about it," Glo replied, but Kevin implored
her to tell Amber that she was the one who got Kay to give her the Jabot
stocks. Gloria didn't like this idea. Kevin planned to find a way to
"handle" Amber and keep Gloria out of it.... Amber feared that Kevin was
going to now kill her. Jana was furious with Amber for saying all of these
things about Kevin. Jill then called Amber and angrily told her about Marge.
Cane urged Jill to calm down, but Jill refused to let "Marge" get away with
impersonating Kay.... At the prison, Kay made her one call to Murphy. After,
the guard led Katherine to her cell.

Wednesday

Jack informed Billy that Gloria was the one who'd tampered with the Jabot
moisturizer. Billy admitted that he never understood what John saw in her.
He wondered if Jack would be allowed back at Jabot; Jack replied that he's
working on it. Jack then invited Billy to move into the Abbott mansion, but
Billy turned him down. Jack confessed that he's lonely, with Sharon and Noah
gone. He asked Billy to join him for New Year's, but Billy revealed that he
has plans with his new girl, Lily. Jack warned him that he's playing with
fire by dating his brother's ex — especially since Cane's wife, Chloe, is
carrying Billy's child. Billy replied that as far as he's concerned, Chloe's
baby is Cane's.

Phyllis and Nick celebrated his birthday at the GCAC restaurant. They were
interrupted when Sharon arrived and cheerfully wished her ex a happy
birthday. Things were understandably uncomfortable between the two women.
Sharon was then seated next to them. She asked for a table in a different
location, but was informed that the close table was the only one available.
While Sharon went back to her suite to get ready, Phyllis asked Nick to get
her a glass of water. Phyllis called Brad and told him that Sharon's alone
on New Year's eve and needs company. Later, Brad paid Sharon a visit and she
was happy to see him.... In the dining room, Nick arranged for an accordion
player to perform for Phyllis. How, uh, romantic? Nick asked Phyllis to
dance with him; she did, as the other patrons applauded.

At the Winters home, Neil rushed around getting for his wedding to Karen,
while Olivia urged Tyra to tell Neil her true feelings for him. Tyra
refused.... Victoria helped a nervous Karen get dressed. Karen feared that
something would ruin the wedding; Vicky assured her that nothing would, as a
sour-faced Liv looked on. After at Indigo, Neil gushed to Tyra, Lily and
Devon how much he loves Karen and how happy he is that he found love after
Drucilla died. Lily and Devon were pleased for their father. In private,
Lily told Devon that Billy is her date for the wedding... Tyra helped Neil
put on his tie, looking deep into his eyes as she did so. She was obviously
affected when he kissed her on the cheek and thanked her. Later, Neil's best
man, J.T., arrived at the club, as well as Roxanne and Ana. Lily went
outside and was met by Billy.... Liv continued to push Tyra to be with Neil.
Tyra asked her to butt out, but Liv went on and on. Karen soon joined them,
all dressed up in her wedding gown. Neil was thrilled when Victor arrived
for the ceremony. Neil and Karen were later married as Tyra tried not to cry
and Liv made grumpy faces. After, Ana took to the stage and sang the
newlyweds a song.

At Crimson Lights, Kevin read Katherine's memoir with interest. Jana,
meanwhile, searched for a certain book. She then revealed that she's getting
rid of all of her spiritual paraphernalia, explaining that she now has
doubts about all of it, given that "spiritual guru" River duped them all.
Kevin encouraged her to not give up something that's important to her. He
pointed out that she tends to give up on things too easily.

Noah and Eden arrived at Crimson Lights and ordered some drinks. The teens
revealed that Nick and Sharon and Lauren and Michael all thought they were
with friends, and not with one another. Eden didn't think that Nick and
Sharon could keep grounding Noah. Later, Kevin overheard that Noah got a
hold of the money Jana had given to River. Kevin planned to get it back, and
Jana agreed to help him.

A lonely Jack reflected on his relationship with Sharon, and where things
went wrong. He then called out for the late John and told his dad he misses
him.

Gloria lamented being stuck in jail for New Year's, but perked up when Kay
was escorted into the prison common room. "Don't we know each other?" Glo
casually asked. Kay affirmed that Gloria looked familiar, but that her
memory wasn't entirely intact. Murphy soon arrived to check up on her.
Gloria eyed Kay's male friend with curiosity. Kay and Murphy tried to figure
out how he could get the $25,000 bail for her release. Murphy promised to do
whatever he could to get her out, even if it meant selling his business. She
urged him not to do that. After Murphy left, Gloria stated that Kay isn't
Katherine because Katherine never knew anyone who owned a bait and tackle
shop. Kay asked if Gloria knew where she could get money for bail. Glo
called her a fraud. Kay recalled Gloria helping her find her missing car
outside of Crimson Lights; this memory made Glo believe that the woman was
indeed Kay. Gloria announced that they were good friends and promised to
help Kay remember the rest of her life.

Karen and Neil kissed as everyone rang in the New Year.... Also among the
smoochers: Lily and Billy, J.T. and Victoria, Eden and Noah, Nick and
Phyllis.... and Brad and Sharon! Only she pulled away. "I can't, I'm sorry,"
she told him. Poor, lonely Jack had no one to kiss for 2009. Instead, he
stared into his huge, empty home. "Happy New Year," he said aloud, sounding
anything but happy.

Thursday

Happy New Year! Recaps will resume Monday.

Friday

Neil and Karen were all lovey-dovey with each other the morning after their
wedding, but they were interrupted when an enthusiastic Tyra stopped by to
inform them that Rafe was arranging for them to bring home Ana — that day.
Soon, Devon and Rafe joined them, but Tyra was disappointed when Rafe
suggested that she not accompany them to court. Devon agreed to keep her
company. Later, Tyra shared a happy reunion with Ana when she returned home
with Neil and Karen. However, they then informed Tyra that she's only
allowed to see Ana if she has a supervised visit with a social worker
present. Tyra quickly left so she wouldn't be breaking any rules; alone, she
broke down and cried.

At the prison, Gloria and Katherine played a board game together. As they
did so, Glo tried to help jog Kay's memory. Gloria explained that she was
wed to Kay's good friend John Abbott. Kay recalled John being a very
handsome and warm person. Gloria also shared that Kay constantly fought with
Jill; Kay had a memory of fighting with Jill over the Chancellor Estate.
Soon Murphy arrived and promised to get the bail money for Kay as soon as he
could. He became suspicious when Katherine said that Gloria was helping her
out, pointing out that there had to be a good reason Glo was in jail, and
Kay shouldn't trust her. Later, Gloria again tried to buddy up to Kay, but
Kay politely turned down Gloria's help.... Michael assured Lauren that no
one would find out that they knew about Gloria tainting the cream and had
kept it secret. After, Michael asked Paul to help him prove that there was
reasonable doubt in Gloria's case. Paul agreed; meanwhile, Heather was
assigned Gloria's case, as well, only she was asked to prove Gloria's guilt.
She and Paul clashed when they learned that they were on opposing sides of a
case once again. Heather was furious with her dad for always defending the
bad guys. Paul argued that he was just trying to find the truth, same as
Heather.

Victor entered his office at Newman and took a minute to look around. Soon,
Nick and Victoria arrived and were thrilled to see their father back at
work. Nick was ready to return to Restless Style full time, but Victor
wanted Newman to be a family business once again and asked Nick to stay with
the company. Meantime, Jack sauntered into Jabot, figuring he could return
now that the truth about the cream had come out. Ashley and Billy weren't so
sure his being back was a good idea in terms of Jabot's publicity. After,
Ash joined Victor for lunch at the GCAC; he suggested that she keep Jack
close to keep an eye on him. Later, Victor ran into Jack in the GCAC lobby
and remained cool as Jack taunted him about having been in prison; he was
certain that Newman would soon be back in jail. After Jack stepped away,
Victor called a mystery person.... When Jack returned to Jabot, Billy
suggested that he, Jack and Ashley vote whether Jack should remain there.
Billy voted no, but Ashley changed her mind and voted yes.... Victor met up
with Jill at the GCAC — and asked her to team up with him so she could
regain control of Jabot and help him bring down Jack. Jill was intrigued.
