Monday

Jana and Lauren discussed how smart they were as their cell filled with smoke. Ryder arrived and put it out. Daisy chastised the captives and ordered Ryder to shut them up. "A rock to the skull would suffice. Gag them for now," she said. The cops showed up. Daisy covered by saying Ryder did it, and that he sleeps in the woods. Ryder was arrested for vagrancy. Sarah punished Jana and Lauren by cutting off their food, along with Jana's migraine pills.

Sarah tried to convince Patty that their double murder plot against Phyllis and Michael can work. Patty argued that she's not a cold-blooded killer, but Sarah played on her insecurities about Phyllis and said it would be an act of love for Jack. "I have faith in you. You changed your whole face to land your sweetie," she noted.

Jack pumped Emily's brother Jamie for info on Emily. Jamie explained that Emily never told a lie and mentioned Emily's cat allergy as he drank Jack's beer. The cops called, looking to question Emily further about Adam's escape. Jack got the idea to surprise Emily at the hospital. Jack and Jamie interrupted "Emily's" session with "Lauren," so Patty tried to play along, using the info about Jamie that Emily gave her. Jamie bristled at his sister's talk of his antique career and how sorry she was that he couldn't come to their wedding, What? responded Jamie. "She lied to me," seethed Patty. "Who is 'she'?" queried Jack. Patty covered by saying she just wanted a new beginning with her brother. Jamie said he was surprised, considering he stole her prescription pad awhile back.

Victor reiterated that he killed Adam. Michael tried to talk Victor out of confessing, to no avail. "I understand the consequences, Michael Baldwin," he responded. Victor recalled the times he told Adam to be a man and said he is just following his own advice. "You’re a pain in the ass to work for," declared Michael. "Oh, I know that," acknowledged The Mustache.

Michael and Victor met with Chance and Pomerantz. Victor described Adam's taunts and said the pen fell out of Adam's pocket while they were arguing. Victor jammed the pen into Adam with "my fist clenched around it," stuffed Jack Abbott's hankerchief into Adam's mouth, and then broke the gas pipe to cover his tracks. Chance pronounced his confession a "complete load of crap." He clarified that it was Nick's pen and Nick's jacket covered with Adam's blood.

Nick spat that he won't let Victor hang himself. Sharon, Nick and Phyllis debated letting Victor confess to the murder. Phyllis pointed out that the only person who knows who killed Adam is Adam's killer. Patty, Jack and Jamie arrived. Jack learned Nick was a suspect and that Victor had confessed. Jack was sure "Mr. Mumbles" was working an angle. Phyllis made a crack that the cops couldn't "find your butts without a GPS system." Chance noted her temper. Jack pulled Phyllis away, and told her to calm down. Patty spied them together. She gave Jamie her prescription pad in exchange for him leaving town. "You're right," Jamie told Jack before exiting. "She's not the same Emily." Victor continued to insist he killed Adam as Nick was returned to his cell. Phyllis and Sharon vowed to prove Nick's innocence.

Sarah taunted Lauren about Michael's virility, prompting Lauren to punch her through the bars. Enraged, Sarah called Patty and asked if she's in on the murder plot. Patty looked at Jack holding Phyllis's hands and responded, "I'm in."

Tuesday

Cane and Jill speculated about Tucker's plans for Jabot as they waited with Lily for Mackenzie's ultrasound. Lily shared that her doctor wants her to go back on chemotherapy. Cane tried to give her a pep talk, to no avail. Lily lamented the state of her health and said ruefully that she wants her life back. The ultrasound revealed that the twins are a boy and a girl. Lily left to go call her dad and Devon with the news, but she really just wanted to cry. Lily returned to Cane's side with a decision: She will do the chemo.

Ashley and Neil were smooching in the Abbott living room when the doorbell rang. "Bad time?" smirked Tucker. "Sorry, dude." Tucker offered Ashley the job of Jabot's CEO along with an "iron-clad contract." "Give me one reason why I shouldn't tell you to take this job and shove it," demanded Ashley. "Because you want it — bad," replied Tucker. Ashley said she'd think about it. Neil said he will support Ashley 150% in whatever she decides. They sealed it with a kiss.

Lauren and Jana reminisced about their husbands, their homes, and all the meals and trips they will enjoy when they escape captivity. They deduced that if Sarah is getting revenge on everyone who hurt her sister Sheila, Amber is next.

Michael phoned Kevin to tell him Ryder was in jail. Kevin, who was babysitting, phoned Daniel to watch Fen. Sarah walked into the coffee shop and asked if Fen wanted to hang out with mommy. The scared kid shook his head. Sarah confronted Kevin, who told her to talk to her husband. Sarah phoned Daisy: "We have a problem."

Amber and Daniel argued over her obsession with Little D. Kevin brought Fen over and they played video games. "You're a natural," smiled Amber. Daniel and Fen left to go watch a game, leaving Amber alone to welcome Sarah, who had just flashbacked to her hatred of Amber. Amber chatted to Sarah about how she wants Little D back because she thinks he is in danger from a Dragon Lady that Deacon warned her about. "What did Deacon tell you about this Dragon Lady?" queried the Dragon Lady. Sarah flashed back to ordering Deacon to get the Teroni painting or she would make his son Little D "look like a Picasso." Sarah asked where Little D is now. Furnace Creek, with her mom, replied Amber. She thought Lauren knew that. Sarah covered. Daniel and Fen arrived home. Sarah took Fen, suggesting they call Michael so he doesn't worry. Amber and Daniel fought again as Amber cried that it was Little D's birthday and she just wants to be a mom. Well, he doesn't want a kid, repeated Daniel. Both realized love may not be enough to save their marriage.

Michael confronted Ryder in jail and asked him what he did to get Lauren to bail him out. Ryder kept mum. Kevin arrived and launched into the sad state of his life, how he wished someone could help him figure out what was going on. Ryder cryptically responded that he thinks Jana will be home soon. Kevin begged Ryder to help him find his wife, and promised to protect him from whoever is threatening him. Ryder almost cracked. Michael greeted Kevin outside Ryder's cell and congratulated him on getting to Ryder. Daniel phoned Michael with the news that Lauren had taken Fen. Unhappy, Michael phoned Lauren but she did not pick up at Crimson Lights. "Daddy's just going to have to wait," seethed Sarah. "It won't be long till this is over, anyway."

Tucker repaired to the GCAC, where he ran into Jill. They shared a conciliatory drink as she pumped him about Jabot. Tucker said he has found the perfect person to run the company, and hopes she doesn't turn him down. "Now, who could turn you down?" cooed Jill, thinking it was her. Tucker went on to say he had made the offer and was waiting for a response. He remarked how nice it was that they could share a drink with no drama, and how that proves things aren't over between them. "You're right," said Jill, rising from her seat to throw her drink in Tucker's face. "NOW, it's over."

Wednesday

At the coffeehouse, Fen begged "Lauren" to take him home, and was relieved when Michael walked in. Michael scooped him up and berated "Lauren" for picking up their son without permission. "I really wish things didn't have to be like this," she stated unfeelingly. Michael glared at her suspiciously before leaving with Fen.

In the interrogation room at the police station, Owen Pomerance confronted Nick and Victor. He attempted to get Victor to waver on his confession, but Victor held fast. Pomerance threatened to put pressure on everyone associated with the kangaroo court "until one of them cracked." He warned that the people they cared about would pay the price if Nick and Victor didn't drop their act.

Nikki and Ashley arrived at the Abbott mansion at Jack and Billy's request, to discuss the murder investigation. Soon after, Victoria, Phyllis and Sharon joined them. Billy lit up upon seeing Victoria, who ignored him. Patty spied on the group from the stairs. Billy tried to flirt with Heather upon her arrival, but she was distracted by her flashbacks of "Patty" begging her to run a DNA test. "Emily" burst downstairs to confront her husband about Phyllis' presence. Jack asked her to calm down, but instead she stormed out of the house, claiming she had a patient to see. The meeting began, with Phyllis and Sharon announcing to the group that the "D.A.'s office was out of control." The two women expressed their concern that both Nick and Victor were locked up, and suggested that the group send a message that they would not be treated this way by suing the D.A.'s office for false imprisonment. "Are you guys in?" Phyllis inquired. The group looked puzzled. Rafe and Heather declined to participate, saying that the D.A.'s office wouldn't be intimidated by this, and that they were trying to get their jobs back. They left in disgust. Michael arrived, and the group informed him about their idea. Michael was hesitant. Accusations between the Newmans and Abbotts flew back and forth, with Ashley announcing that she believed Victor was capable of murder. Jack opted out of the lawsuit, but Billy pledged his support. The group theorized that the murderer could be someone outside their group that had a grudge against Adam. They griped that the police weren't looking at anyone else, because Victor had confessed. Just then, the doorbell rang and the group was shocked to see Pomerance at the door. He asked everyone in the room to take a lie detector test. His suggestion was met with opposition, but he contended that by taking the test, each of them could prove their innocence and get the D.A.'s office off their backs. "The ball's in your court now," he announced, and left. Michael's opinion was that the group should cooperate, and that meanwhile he would do everything he could to free Nicholas. Everyone left, and Phyllis and Michael were alone. She told him that he could talk to her anytime ... day or night. Michael was grateful for his good friend.

Daniel and Amber continued to argue about Amber's need to find and protect Little D. Amber worried about the "dragon lady" finding him and hurting him. Daniel assured her that the child was safe with her mother, but that she should call Tawny to put her mind at ease. Amber was thrilled to get his go-ahead to place the phone call, and kissed him in excitement. She dialed her mom, but the phone number was disconnected. "I'm going out there," she announced. Daniel objected, and suggested calling the Sherriff instead. Amber panicked as she called information in Furnace Creek and asked to be connected to the sheriff. Amber was calmed after hearing that Tawny's trailer had not been broken into, but was still nervous because her mother wasn't home. "I'll wait twenty-four hours, then I'm going to Furnace Creek!" she announced.

In her office, Patty placed a call to Sarah asking her to meet her there. "I'm sick of Phyllis putting her grubby hands all over my husband!" she shrieked. "It has to stop!" Sarah agreed to come over. When she arrived, the two women agreed to go ahead with their plan to murder Michael and Phyllis the next day. Patty cried hysterically to Sarah about how she was tired of everyone walking all over her. "Not anymore," Sarah stated matter-of-factly. "Patty is taking her life back." Patty was nervous that they would get caught, but Sarah assured her that she had everything planned out ... down to the last detail. "This will work, Patty," Sarah whispered. "But you have to be committed." Patty's resolve was steeled. "For Jack ... I can do anything!" she snarled. Sarah produced a handgun. Patty picked up the gun and pretended to aim. The women reiterated why they wanted Phyllis and Michael out of their lives. "I think we make one helluva team," Sarah growled.

Heather and Rafe went to Crimson Lights for a cup of coffee. Heather unburdened herself to Rafe about how her Aunt Patty had begged for a DNA test to prove she was Emily. Heather was doubtful that a switch could have taken place, but she was bothered by it. Knowing that Heather would fixate on it, Rafe suggested she run the DNA test, so that she could put it out of her mind. Heather agreed. She dialed the lab and asked for the test to be run in a personal capacity, rather than professional.

Victoria and Billy met up at the GCAC bar. She sheepishly apologized for "not being very nice" to him when he attempted to help her in court. "I know you meant well," she admitted. The two flirted, and Billy leaned in for a kiss. Victoria recoiled and asked him if he was crazy for trying to kiss her in public. Billy pointed out that the "cat was already out of the bag" after his announcement in court, but agreed to back off. "I love a challenge," he grinned. A smile crept across Victoria's face.

Pomerance returned to the interrogation room. Victor demanded that Nicholas be released. Pomerance refused, saying Victor was in no position to demand anything. The Newman men were led away. An officer handed Pomerance some new evidence — a cell phone with Adam's fingerprints all over it. Pomerance was eager to have the lab test it.

Thursday

Jana and Lauren asked Ryder why he puts up with Daisy and Sarah. They explained his actions are a choice. "Man up, Ryder," ordered Lauren. "Get us out of here before something really bad happens."

Sarah and Patty put the final touches on their plans to murder Phyllis and Michael. Jack will be sad, reasoned Patty, but she'll be there to hold his hand. After that, Patty will kill Michael with the gun Sarah provided. They hung up as Jack came home. He reminded Patty he wants a separation but had to go see Phyllis. Patty flipped, then tried to pawn her jealousy off on how traumatized she still is after Adam's escape. Jack didn't buy it, asking what happened to the confident woman he fell in love with. The painting of Emily came to life and taunted Patty. She begged Jack for another chance. He stormed out.

Michael suggested to Sarah that they see a counselor. She suggested they meet later to discuss it. "It's been nice knowing you," she whispered.

Sarah extolled the virtues of "double homicide" to Daisy, telling her it's her duty to kill Michael and "make her mama proud." Sarah said she might even adopt Daisy when it's all over, and fix her up with Lauren's cute son Scotty. "He'll be so sad…" Daisy hemmed and hawed, but Sarah reminded her it won't be the first time she's killed someone. "I was just a kid when I lost it with Max," recalled Daisy cryptically, but agreed to kill Michael. Sarah suggested strangulation as Ryder listened in the shadows. "What if she fights back?" asked Daisy. "She's in a wheelchair!" retorted Sarah. They'll make it look like a home invasion and both get off. "Don't do it," advised Ryder after Sarah left. Daisy brushed him off.

Phyllis visited Nick in prison. They discussed the lawsuit Phyllis, Nikki, Victoria, Sharon and Billy plan to file against the DA's office for harassment, malicious prosecution and false imprisonment. Nick wished Victor would drop the false confession. Phyllis asked why is he so sure Victor is innocent. Michael arrived to serve Pomerantz with the lawsuit. Pomerantz offered to reduce the charges against Nick but he refused. Michael excused himself to go deal with "Baldwin family drama." Phyllis and Nick discussed how sad it is that Michael and Lauren are having problems and how lucky they are to have each other. Nick hated the thought of Phyllis on the ranch alone, though. She reassured him there was tons of security.

Phyllis and Michael talked about how crazy Lauren is acting, buying him a sports car and wanting to take a trip without Fenmore. Michael confided he has moved out. She scares her own son, he rued. Phyllis offered to talk to Lauren. "I'll take any help I can get," replied a grateful Michael. Meanwhile, Pomerantz got Nick alone and threatened to charge Phyllis with conspiracy. Then, their daughter will have two parents in jail, he pointed out.

Patty called Sarah with the bad news that Jack plans to see Phyllis tonight. Sarah ordered her to do whatever she has to do to stop that from happening. The painting taunted Patty again as Jack returned. Patty begged Jack to wait for her at home to discuss their marriage. "I won't be long," she promised. Patty went to the jail to revise her statement about the night Adam died and ran into Michael. They agreed to meet later to discuss Lauren's case.

Jana and Lauren cooked up a plan for Jana to fake a headache to try and escape. Ryder returned, deeply troubled. They pressed him as to why. "Michael and Phyllis are going to die tonight," he confided. "You have to stop them!" screamed Lauren.

Back at the Abbott mansion, Jack found Patty's journal under the couch. Over at the Newman ranch, Lauren arrived. "You up for a visitor?" she asked Phyllis.

Friday

Lauren and Jana sobbed at Ryder’s news that Michael and Phyllis were about to be murdered. Lauren insisted Daisy and Sarah have to be stopped. Ryder fretted that Sarah and Daisy will come after him if he helps them, but Lauren asked what makes you think they won’t pin the murders on you? Jana grabbed her head and fell to the floor. Ryder agreed to help them but realized the keys were missing.

Amber and Daniel argued over her desire to go to Furnace Creek to check on Little D. She headed for the coffee house to ask Kevin for advice.

Kevin and Michael agreed that Ryder knows where Jana is. Michael admitted he is separated from Lauren but hoped that his meeting later with Lauren’s doctor Emily would shed some light on it. Amber arrived. Kevin advised her to apologize to Daniel, so she left a message. A kid entered and stole money off the table. Kevin grabbed him. “Oh my God!“ exclaimed Amber. “That’s Little D!”

Phyllis greeted Sarah at the door, noting that Summer was on a sleepover and she was all alone. Daisy lurked outside. Sarah went on about all the pain their families have been through as her eyes darted round the room. The phone rang — it was Daniel, spilling his troubles with Amber. Phyllis invited him over, which did not amuse Sarah. Sarah excused herself to get her cell from the car but really to order Daisy to stop Daniel from coming over.

Patty flashbacked on her plan with Sarah to be at the police station while Sarah was murdering Phyllis so that Patty would have an alibi. Patty met with Chance, who questioned her about how Adam could have gotten his hands on a cell phone — and what was a toy cat doing in his room? “I don’t remember it,” stammered Patty. Chance pointed out that since Adam went straight to the ball from the hospital, he must have had an accomplice. Patty bristled. Chance said he feels there are things she is not telling him. Did Adam threaten her? Patty flashbacked to Adam blackmailing her, then denied coersion. Let’s take it from the top, sighed Chance. Patty stuck with her story. Chance said no worries - they will track the cell phone and look at security video. “I should go,” hedged Patty.

Daisy arrived at Daniel’s crying, desperate for someone to talk to. She poured something into his drink while he fetched tissues for her. Daisy poured out a fake story about how Ryder hates Michael and Lauren because they never accepted him. Daniel got sleepy and said he had to lie down. Daisy crawled on top of him. “Amber…” “Yes, baby?”

Little D informed Amber he goes by Eric now. Amber introduced Kevin and Michael. Eric returned the money, apologizing that he was hungry. Amber asked for a cupcake since it was Eric’s birthday. “You remembered!” said the grateful boy. He shared that Tawny left a few days ago. He got scared when someone kept calling the house and hanging up so he stole Tawny’s boyfriend’s credit card number and borrowed some money from a neighbor to get to Genoa City. Amber admired her son’s resourcefulness. She brought Eric home to find Daniel passed out in bed with a naked Daisy. “Oh, my God!”

Phyllis brought up Michael’s concerns to Sarah. “What has Michael said about me?” queried Sarah. Sarah’s phone rang; it was Michael. She silenced it as he left a message saying he hoped they could work things out. Daisy called Sarah to report that she took care of Daniel (Sarah lied that it was Gloria). Sarah’s discussion with Phyllis escalated until Sarah spit, “I am getting really sick of you sticking up for him.” She frightened Phyllis so much that Phyllis asked her to leave, which Sarah did. Phyllis phoned Michael and said she had a “creepy feeling.”

Chance made a call citing “Dr. Emily Abbott” as a prime suspect in Adam’s murder. Patty phoned Michael asking if now was a good time to meet. “Now is perfect,“ enthused Michael. Kevin headed to the amusement park to look for Jana. Back at Phyllis’s, the lights went out and the door knob turned. “Daniel?” asked a frightened Phyllis. “Lauren, is that you?”
