Monday
While Nick was showering at the suite in the GCAC, Phyllis noticed on his
cell phone that Sharon had tried to call him so Phyl deleted the calls. When
Nick emerged his dad called and asked to see him right away. On his way out,
Nick angrily confronted Jack, who was eating alone in the GCAC dining room,
about Victor's so-called journal. "I never saw that thing until Adam showed
it to me," Jack lied. Nick stalked away and Jack lit into Phyllis for
showing Sharon his credit card statement. Jack declared that Phyllis must be
thrilled that Sharon kicked him out but Phyl noted, "If Sharon is out of
your marriage, believe me, she's on her way to mine." Phyllis denied sending
Sharon the statement but Jack didn't believe her.
Lily blasted Billy for betraying Cane and Jill at the stockholders' meeting.
"It's Abbott family business," Billy explained. "I don't expect you to get
it." A perturbed Cane showed up and Lily dismissed Billy. He ran into Chloe
who dumped on him for messing things up with Lily. Chloe then spied Cane
hugging Lily who was upset about Tyra and Ana. After Cane left, Chloe sniped
at Lily for hanging on Cane "every chance you get."
Billy tried to smooth things over with Cane, to no avail. Cane reamed him
for back-stabbing their mother but Billy countered, "Mom gave you a job that
you didn't deserve at a company that you didn't know a thing about two years
ago. However, all I've done is take back what's rightfully mine. Now if you
want to go pursue other interests, please, be my guest. I understand. And I
will write you one stellar recommendation." Cane warned that Billy ruined
his romantic chances with Lily.
Ashley was surprised to hear that Sharon threw Jack out of the house. Ash
was even more surprised when Sharon revealed that Jack confessed to using an
escort service. After, Ashley confronted Jack and told him she didn't
believe he's a sex addict. When he asked why would he lie, Ashley shot back
with, "Why would you forge a diary that could ruin Victor's life?" Ash then
warned her brother that Victor will be coming after him.
At the jail, Victor informed Nick that Frank confessed to forging the
journal for Adam and Jack. Vic said he would handle everything on the inside
and needed Nick to run Newman Enterprises. Nick pointed out that he was
happy to babysit the company until his dad got out but Victor said Newman
was also his son's birthright.
Brad visited Sharon to offer more consolation and she continued to beat
herself up for trusting Jack. Phyllis called Brad and suggested that she
send him and Sharon on a business trip to New York to which he agreed.
Later, Sharon encountered Nick and told him that her marriage is over. "Just
know that I'm here for you," Nick assured his ex. He met up with Phyllis and
lamented how Sharon has two husbands that cheated on her. Phyllis suggested
that Nick send Sharon to a photo shoot in New York for Restless Style to
keep her busy and he thought it was a good idea.
Chloe was painting the nursery at home when Lily showed up and apologized
for their previous encounter. Chloe suggested that Lily find her own man and
a ticked-off Lily yelled back, "You seduced my fiancé when he was drunk!"
The ladies argued some more and an emotional Chloe fell off the ladder and
hit the floor. Cane rushed into the room as Chloe groaned in pain.
Tuesday
Katherine brought Pearl home with her to Murphy's place. Kay then realized
that her ring was gone and accused Pearl of stealing from her. Pearl
explained that she went to see how much the ring was worth at the pawn shop
— and it turned out to be a lot. Kay continued to feel dazed about her life
and couldn't understand how she ended up becoming a waitress. She considered
pawning the ring and taking off, but Murphy pleaded with "Marge" to stay
put.
Michael and Lauren celebrated their third anniversary.... Gloria and Jeffrey
were annoyed that Jack had played them in the Jabot takeover, but looked
forward to being executives. They both confessed to having bought extra
Jabot stock on their own.... Michael informed River that Howard was out of
town and couldn't be contacted. River hoped that Gloria would take the stand
for him instead, but Michael didn't believe that she would help him out.
Michael sadly told his father that he didn't think anyone from the bank
rally would be there for River. River urged Michael to stop stressing out.
After falling from a ladder, a pregnant Chloe was rushed to the hospital.
Cane joined her and tried to keep her calm, but she was worried about the
baby. Soon, Lily and Billy joined them, but Cane was less than thrilled to
see his brother. Outside in the hallway, Lily blamed herself for Chloe's
condition. Billy noted that Chloe was the one who'd decided to climb up on a
ladder while pregnant. Lily noted that Chloe didn't love Cane and got
pregnant as soon as she could. This caught Billy's attention. Meanwhile,
Cane and Chloe were informed that nothing was wrong with the baby, but Chloe
had a pelvic fracture. Cane promised to take care of her while she healed.
Lauren asked Jeff if she could speak with her mother-in-law alone, then
pleaded with Gloria to be there for River. Glo argued that she had to
protect her image now that she was an executive at Jabot, but Lauren
concluded that Jeffrey didn't want Gloria to help River. Gloria denied this.
Lauren repeated that River needs her and warned Glo that if she doesn't help
River, Michael won't allow her back in the house. After, Gloria prepared to
leave, but Jeff arrived and warned her not to go.... At the courthouse,
Michael informed the judge that he wasn't sure when his witness would
return. The opposing counsel was annoyed with him for requesting the delay;
the judge agreed that they were going to proceed with the case. Michael
suggested to River that they pray for a miracle.
At the hospital, Cane informed Lily that the baby is a girl. He also told
her that they can't keep having "accidental" encounters because he needs to
be there for Chloe and the baby. Later, the nurse asked Chloe how far along
she is, and Chloe replied 23 weeks. After, Billy again asked Chloe if he's
the father of her baby, but she insisted that Cane is. Alone, Chole spoke to
her baby bump and noted that she thinks the baby will have a great life with
Cane, but she doesn't love him the way she loves the child's father. Later,
Cane sat with Chloe in the hospital room. Lily joined them and apologized to
Chloe; she then assured Chloe that she'd keep her distance from Cane. Cane
also promised that Chloe and the baby would be his first priority. She was
pleased when Cane referred to the three of them as a family.... Billy
quizzed the nurse about when the baby had been conceived; she replied that
Chloe had probably become pregnant in June.
Wednesday
Nick invited Sharon to be part of a tie-in between Beauty of Nature and
Restless Style. Sharon liked the idea and accepted. After, Phyllis presented
Nick with an advance copy of Restless Style. Nick was impressed by the
cover, which featured a well-known sight in Paris. He thought it was a
Photoshop job, but Phyllis revealed that she'd actually been in Paris for
the shoot. Nick was surprised to learn that they'd been in France at the
same time. Phyllis finally confessed that she saw Nick and Sharon kissing in
Paris. Nick apologized. Phyllis tearfully recalled how shocked and
devastated she'd been when she spied the buss. Nick insisted that he still
loves Phyllis. Nick tried to explain that it was just something that
happened "in the moment." Phyllis wanted to know why all he and Sharon did
was kiss, and concluded that Sharon was the one who stopped it from going
further. Nick's silence confirmed this. "What does this mean?" Phyllis
asked. "What do you want?" Nick replied that Sharon realized it was a
terrible mistake and respects their marriage. "That's so sweet of her. I
should send her flowers," sniffed Phyllis. Nick stated that the kiss didn't
mean anything. Phyllis didn't buy it. Nick again apologized and said that he
and Phyllis have their love to fall back on. "We have secrets and lies,"
Phyllis sighed.
Jack met up with Sharon at the Abbott manse and asked if they could work
things out. Sharon replied that she wanted them to both tell Noah that
they're no longer together. Later, they sat Noah down and sadly shared their
bad news. Noah stormed out of the room.
Daniel brought Amber to the office space that was once Sabrina's gallery and
told Amber that it was now the studio where she'd design her clothes. Amber
was thrilled. After, they told Nick and Phyllis that they were quitting
their jobs at Restless Style... Kevin and Jana debated whether to use the
money of Kay's that Kevin had found to fix the plumbing at Crimson Lights.
Kevin argued that the Chancellors already had a lot of money.... Amber still
suspected that Kevin was connected to Kay's death, but Daniel thought she
was mistaken.
At Murphy's, Katherine still had trouble believing that her name is Marge
and she's an alcoholic. She and Murphy bonded as he told her about his late
wife. She was surprised when he revealed that he'd never told "Marge" any of
this before. He replied that "Marge" seemed different now so he felt like he
could talk to her.
Jeffrey told Gloria that if she's really devoted to him, she won't go to
court and help River. Glo tearfully explained that she didn't want to let
Michael down. Jeff held up the jar of tainted face cream and reminded her
that he could use it against her.... At River's trial, Michael's case wasn't
going well since none of his witnesses had appeared to speak on River's
behalf. Just then, Gloria arrived. Lauren, Michael and Eden were thrilled to
see her. Gloria then took the stand and stated that River went to the bank
to stop the bombing. The opposing counsel didn't believe her; she went on to
explain that she'd turned her back on River because she didn't want to get
arrested and leave Michael without parents. Later, the judge released River
into Michael's custody.... At home, Jeff took a long swig of alcohol. "I
warned you Gloria," he said out loud. "We're both about to get burned." He
then spread some of the tainted moisturizer on his face.
Thursday
The Baldwins celebrated River's release from jail. However, Michael reminded
River that the case would still have to go to trial.
At home, Cane took care of Chloe, who was still recovering from her fall.
Meanwhile, Billy admitted to Jack that he once had a relationship with Chloe
— and that he's the father of her baby. Jack was shocked. Billy panicked
over the idea of being a father. Jack advised him to think hard about making
a decision because it wouldn't be fair to Cane or the baby if Billy decided
to reveal himself as the father years down the line. Later, Billy questioned
Lily about her past relationship with Cane. Lily filled him in on how she and
Cane had lost a baby, and how Chloe chased after Cane because she wanted to
be a Chancellor. However, Lily added, she really believed that Chloe loved
her baby and wanted the best for the child, and that Cane would make a
great father. Billy agreed. He asked if Lily would ever take Cane back; she
answered that she would because she knows Cane and Chloe are just friends.
Billy pointed out that Cane and Chloe were going to be tied together for at
least 18 years..... Chloe and Cane discussed possible baby names. Among the
choices: Diane and Elizabeth (which Chloe deemed boring). Heh. Remember, her
portrayer is Elizabeth Hendrickson. Chloe was then horrified with the third
name Cane came up with. Esther later arrived and announced that she was
moving in to help her daughter. They turned down the offer, with Cane
explaining that as Chloe's husband, he should be the one to care for her.
Esther insisted on at least making them a healthy dinner ... of tofu.
"There's no stopping her, is there?" Chloe whispered. "I'll get Chinese
after she's gone," Cane promised.
At Crimson Lights, Kevin continued to be upset over Amber's belief that he
killed Katherine. Jana suggested that perhaps he was feeling guilty for
taking Kay's money. Kevin replied that he found the cash and needed it to
fix the plumbing in the coffeehouse.
At the coffeehouse, Phyllis ran into Adam and taunted that he'd probably be
spending the holidays in jail. After, Frank called and demanded that Adam
see him in prison. Adam warned Jack that Frank threatened to blab about
everything concerning the diary, including Jack's involvement. Jack told
Adam to never speak to him in public again, and to ignore Frank. After,
Phyllis teased Jack about having no job and losing Sharon. Later, Adam went
to the prison and found Victor waiting for him instead of Frank. Victor
implored Adam to help him go after Jack.... Phyllis informed Jack that she
saw Nick and Sharon kissing in Paris. Ghost John then appeared and suggested
that Jack tell Sharon the truth about everything.... Victor asked Adam to
corroborate everything that Frank said about the diary being forged. He
promised that if Adam did this, he'd make sure Adam got a light sentence.
Adam blamed Victor for ruining his career and making him the family pariah.
Victor warned that if Adam didn't help him, he'd take down both Adam and
Jack.
Jana and Kevin stopped by Michael and Lauren's to wish them a happy
anniversary and join in River's celebration. Gloria told Kevin how Jeffrey
threatened to tell the authorities about her tainting the Jabot moisturizer
if she testified for River. After, River raised a toast to Michael and
Gloria for helping him, and to Eden for being his biggest supporter. Michael
and Lauren then publicly declared their love for one another.... Jana feared
for Kevin's soul. She then gave River Kay's money, explaining that he needs
it more than they do.... Gloria told Lauren and Michael about Jeff
threatening her, but they believed that Bardwell was bluffing. As everyone
posed for a family picture, Jeffrey was at the hospital getting his face
treated — which had been burnt after he purposely spread on the face cream.
Billy called Jack and left a message saying that he's decided to keep
Chloe's secret because he didn't think he'd make a good father.
Friday
An overjoyed Michael got news that the judge vacated the charges in River's
case. He thanked Gloria for helping River get out of jail and embraced her.
Michael loved that he now had both of his parents and a new sister. "We have
a whole Christmas card!" exclaimed Lauren.... Gloria then got a call from
Jeffrey, who informed her that he's in the hospital. He lied that he was
there because he was allergic to a certain food and had a bad reaction....
Lauren and Michael found a tax bill about the ashram and learned that it's
in Eden's name. Michael called River and offered to take care of it, but
River told him not to worry about it. Michael was concerned that someone was
using Eden's identity, but River shrugged it off. After he hung up, River
looked concerned. Eden then met him in the coffeehouse and was ecstatic to
hear that her dad was a free man. Later, Michael did some research and
learned that a clerical error hadn't been made, and the property was indeed
in Eden's name. Lauren wondered how River had enough money to purchase
it.... River informed Eden that they're moving back to the ashram. Michael
then called Eden and she pretended that she wasn't with her dad. Michael
asked if River had ever discussed money matters with her. River had her hang
up, then wanted to leave town. Eden didn't understand why they had to
disappear so quickly, but River insisted on leaving that night.... Michael
believed that River had set the bank on fire all those years ago, so he
could steal the money. "We've been had," he said sadly.
Adam met up with Heather at the Crimson Lights. He recalled Victor
threatening to take him and Jack down and then asked Heather if they could
get married that day. Heather didn't really like that idea, but Adam kept
pushing the idea of getting married and leaving town. She kept insisting
that she had too much work to travel.
Ashley and Jack dined at the GCAC. Jack wanted to discuss Jabot business,
but Ashley admitted that she isn't sure she can trust him anymore. Jack was
surprised when she called him a liar and questioned him about having
Victor's diary forged.... Victor informed Ashley that he had new information
about Jack and Adam. Ash realized that Paul had spied Adam at the same hotel
where Jack had claimed he'd been meeting escorts. Ashley realized that Jack
and Adam were in cahoots. She was devastated that Jack had lied to her once
again.
At the prison, Victor spoke with Paul about Frank's claims regarding Adam
and Jack and the diary. Paul recalled seeing Adam acting strangely at the
Genoa City Motor Arms Motel and agreed to investigate. Paul then advised
Victor to stop blaming Nikki for everything that's gone wrong in his life.
Victor wanted to concentrate on getting revenge on Jack.... After, Paul
joined Heather at the coffeehouse. Jack arrived and asked Heather how the
case against Victor is going, but she wouldn't tell him anything. Paul then
warned Heather that he suspects Adam was involved in the forgery. Heather
was angry with her father for working against her, but he urged her to take
a good look at Adam. After, Paul told Jack to watch his back.... Ashley
asked Adam point-blank if Jack was involved in the forged diary. Adam
nervously replied that Jack introduced him to the publisher. Ash didn't buy
it and kept pressing him for information. Adam told her to ask Jack....
Heather paid Victor a visit and learned that Vic had hired Paul to
investigate the diary case. Newman showed Heather Frank's confession and
noted that Adam keeps lying to her.... Adam met with a wedding planner at
the coffeehouse. Paul interrupted them and informed Adam that he knows what
Adam is up to. Paul implored him to confess and save Heather's career....
Ashley angrily confronted Jack about being in the same hotel as Adam at the
same time. Jack told her she was out of control and kept insisting that he
was at the hotel with an escort and not working with Adam on the diary.
"Just stop!" she begged, unable to believe that he'd throw Adam under a bus.
"You are so disgusting." She then banned him from Jabot.
Gloria arrived at the hospital, just as the doctor was examining Jeff. The
doctor noted that the burns were topical and not caused by a food allergy.
Jeff replied that he probably got the burns from using Gloria's moisturizer.
Glo was horrified. Jeff then gave the doc the vial of tainted cream that
he'd brought with him. When the doctor left the room, Gloria begged Jeff not
to turn her in. "Turn you in for what?" he asked. He went into a flirtatious
mode and asked her to confess the things she's done as a "bad girl." "I
never wanted anyone to get hurt by that face cream," she whispered. "That
cream was never supposed to be distributed." "But that's not what happened,"
Jeff pressed on, "because you were a baaaad girl." "You know, Jeffrey,
sometimes I just can't myself," she said. He seemed to be getting turned on.
"How bad was it?" he panted. Glo leaned in and asked if he was taping her
for the police. "What's the game?" she asked. "I'm not playing," he
answered. Oops, turned out the police were listening in. Gloria was then
arrested!
