Monday
At Restless Style, Billy met with several candidates to be Lucy's nanny. However, none were ideal, especially the young woman who attempted to hit on him and the elderly woman who wanted to "discipline" the baby. Billy banged his head against his desk in frustration.
Meanwhile, Kevin told Jana that it was time for her to move out of his apartment. He offered to give her money and time to look for a place, but a furious Jana turned him down and agreed to leave ASAP. After, she met with Billy to interview for the nanny position. He was concerned about her "memory loss," but she assured him that she was improving. She asked if she'd be caring for Delia, as well, and he confirmed it. He gave her the job and said that she could live with him and Victoria.
Chloe went to Kevin's and celebrated the fact that Jana was soon going to be out of their lives. Jana returned to get some of her things and told them about her new job. Chloe was concerned that Jana was going to use Delia to get to her and Kevin.
After seeing a vision of Cane in the cemetery, Lily thought that she was losing her mind. After, Sofia joined her at her home for a girls' night, while Neil cared for the twins. Lily confided in Sofia about what she'd seen and Sofia shared how distraught she'd been after her father had died. Her words seemed to calm Lily and the women bonded. Neil overheard and was grateful to Sofia for being able to comfort Lily.
At the arbitration, everyone was shocked when Nick decided to join Abby and Victoria for their lawsuit against Victor. Victor, of course, was furious and called his kids "ingrates." After, Abby ran into Michael at Gloworm and they discussed the case. He realized that it was the anniversary of Brad's death and gently asked if she was willing to destroy her relationship with her biological father, Victor. Abby was furious and asked him to mind his own business.... Nick and Victor later argued about the suit. Victor warned that he might be be forced to take Newman Enterprises public and their suit would ruin their family's company.
Tuesday
Michael tipped off Victor that Abby didn't seem that enthused about the lawsuit anymore. Nikki barged in and demanded that her ex put an end to this legal insanity with his children. "You have the power to fix this," Nikki noted but Victor fumed that he built the company for them and he is sickened by their behavior. Nikki insisted that Victor would regret his actions and stormed out.
Ashley checked in on Abby, who was depressed about suing her dad. She was also sorry for kicking her mom out of the house and asked Ashley to move back in. Ash was touched but reminded that she's getting married soon. Ashley went over to Victor's office and told him that their daughter "is falling apart." Ashley pushed him to reach out to Abby and he admitted that he admired her spunk.
Kevin woke up to find Jana packing her belongings and was surprised she was in a cheery mood. She claimed she was looking at her new job and digs as a new adventure. Jana hugged Kevin goodbye and left.
Billy wanted to write the article about the real Victor Newman but Victoria advised her hubby not to risk angering the judge. After she left, Billy wanted to go through with his plan anyway. He then observed that Chloe was preoccupied and guessed that she was thinking abut Chance. Billy urged her to move on and Chloe decided to go home to work.
While visiting Chance, Heather blasted him for staging his death and not letting her know the truth. Chance explained his lonely existence in Witness Protection, but they were interrupted by Chloe. As Heather was leaving, she saw that one of Chloe's files was about the Newman lawsuit. Heather secretly called Michael about the possible story. Meanwhile, Chance asked Chloe to get along with Heather but Chloe pointed out that when he cheated with Heather, her world fell apart. Heather came back and Chance told the ladies that he was going back into hiding after he testifies. He explained rather coldly that he never really loved Chloe and he and Heather never had a real chance at a relationship. Heather rushed out and Chloe asked what happened to him because he wasn't the Chance she knew.
Michael asked Nick about his true motivation for joining his sisters' lawsuit and Nick said he was done with "enabling" his father's bullying and lies. Michael reminded that the lawsuit could potentially destroy Newman Enterprises.
Michael asked Billy if he was writing an article on Victor and Billy claimed he wasn't.... Nick met with Victoria, who warned that they may never have a relationship with their dad again. Nikki showed up and begged her children to end their lawsuit but they refused to back down.... Abby was surprised when Victor showed up and opened his arms. She tearfully ran into his embrace. Victor suggested they end "all this nonsense" and be close again. After he left, Abby was clearly conflicted about what to do.
Wednesday
Jack told Victor that Kyle has moved into the Abbott mansion. Jack predicted that Victor is headed for trouble and Newman asked if he is referring to the grainy video of Victor supposedly in Hawaii. Jack was surprised that his nemesis knew about the video and called Victor "a self righteous bastard." Victor countered that Jack can't touch him.
As Victoria and Billy planned Lucy's christening, she wanted Nick as the
godfather but Billy was surprised when his wife suggested the godmother role
go to Abby. He wasn't sure Abby was responsible enough but Victoria assured
that her sister is up for the challenge. Billy gave in but wanted Jack as
the godfather; she was set on Nick.
Neil asked Malcolm how things are going with Sofia but Mal got riled when
his brother defended her. Malcolm ordered Neil to butt out of his life and
stalked away.
At Crimson Lights, Phyllis told Daniel that she wants to search for his
daughter. Billy and Victoria showed up and asked Abby to be Lucy's
godmother. Abby was touched and happily accepted. Still, Billy and Victoria
differed on who should be the godfather.
Lily became unnerved when she thought she heard Cane's voice calling for
her. She rushed outside to look for Cane as Daniel approached. After
escorting her back indoors, Lily could tell he was greatly bothered by
something. He admitted that Lucy Abbott is his daughter and he feels a
connection to her. He also noted that Lucy is in a loving home and, this
way, Daisy can't find her. Lily praised Daniel for his selflessness. Lily
then confessed to hearing Cane. Daniel assured Lily she wasn't going crazy
and offered to sleep on the couch.
Diane asked Nick if his joining his sisters' lawsuit was a way of getting
back at her. Nick disagreed and Diane said he was lying to himself.
As Neil and Sofia worked at his apartment, she commented that they make a
good team. He admitted to misjudging her and they started being playful with
each other. Neil praised Sofia for helping his family and passionately
kissed her! They ended up having sex on his sofa. After they got dressed,
Malcolm showed up was surprised to find his fiance at Neil's place. Mal
apologized to Neil for his earlier outburst and Sofia left with him.
Jack blasted Phyllis for telling Nick about the video because he tipped off
Victor. Hew then approached Malcolm and asked if Mal could enhance the video
so it could be clearer. Meanwhile, Phyllis found a depressed Nick at the
bar. When she tried to commiserate with him, Nick told her he wanted to be
alone. Phyllis was hurt and he apologized for blowing up at her. She told
him that he doesn't owe her anything and they came close to kissing but she
scurried away.
Abby announced to Victor that she has been asked to be Lucy's godmother so
she doesn't know what to do about the lawsuit. Victor suggested that
Victoria is keeping Abby in line with the offer. Abby got upset for her
father thinking that but went ballistic when she found out that Victor is
now with Diane. Abby said she would see Victor at the arbitration.
Billy and Victoria asked Nick and Jack to be co-godfathers.
Thursday
Victor and Diane read the press coverage of the lawsuit on the Internet.
Victor told Diane that she did a wonderful job of raising Kyle and he wanted
the boy with them at the ranch.
Jack and Phyllis both apologized for arguing yesterday and agreed that they
wouldn’t fight further. Jack then wanted to fill her in on his next plan.
Adam told Sharon he was surprised that the “heir apparent” Abby had turned
on Victor. Adam then said he wanted to know what evidence Jack and Phyllis
had located in Hawaii. Just then, Jack called and said he wanted to fill
Sharon in on what they found on Victor. Jack arrived and told them about the
grainy video of Victor on the volcano in Hawaii. When Sharon asked, “Why
tell us now?” Jack reported that Phyllis showed Nicholas, who in turn
confronted Victor, so the cat was out of the bag.
After hearing static on the baby monitor, Lily still felt haunted by Cane’s
presence. She then discovered the dog had pulled out the cord from the
device, causing the strange static she’d heard. Lily told herself she needed
to get a grip.... As Abby gave Victoria a pre-christening gift, Daniel
stared at the baby. Victoria was sympathetic to Daniel losing his own child.
Daniel then went to see Lily and mentioned how upset he was by covering up
the truth about his baby’s paternity. They chuckled at the basketcases
they’ve become. Daniel thanked Lily for the talk and left, but when she
returned, she found Cane’s music box had been opened and was playing.
Michael went to Nicholas and suggested he try to work things out with
Victor. Nick said he wasn’t interested. Michael met with Victor to discuss
the lawsuit and his past business dealings, about how he’d cut off Victoria
and Nick before and placed Adam in charge. Michael suggested that when it
came to his past actions, he should claim he suffered from post traumatic
stress disorder following Sabrina's death. “You want me to say I’m nuts?”
Victor asked. Michael then said his only other alternative was to take
Newman Enterprises public. “We’re never out of options,” Victor smiled back.
Phyllis met with Diane and questioned why Diane didn’t put up a fight when
Kyle said he wanted to stay with Jack. Phyllis told Diane that she was onto
her game: she needed space to move in on Victor, and warned Diane that she
was just a “seat-warmer” until Victor went back to Nikki.... Later, Diane
confided in Michael that before she moved in with Victor, there was another
man, whom she still can’t stop thinking about and she believes still has
feelings for her. Michael warned Diane that she was playing a dangerous
game.
Abby told Victoria and Nick about her visit with Victor from the day before.
The Newman kids all discussed their love/hate relationships with their
father.
Sharon showed up at Restless Style and pulled the phone away from Phyllis,
furious she’d kept silent about evidence that could clear her. Jack entered
and separated the women. Meanwhile, Adam stormed into Victor’s office and
ordered him to do right by Sharon. Victor offered to save Sharon — if Adam
agreed to help Victor maintain his empire.
Friday
Abby asked Victoria and Nick what would happen with their money if they won their suit. Victoria noted that it might take a while before all the paperwork cleared. Nick went to Victoria's front door to pick up the paper and a story about their family's suit was on the front page....At Crimson Lights, Michael accused Leslie of leaking information about the suit to the press, but she denied it. She also noted that Michael's client is the "poster boy for underhanded tricks.".... Adam paid Victor a visit at Newman Enterprises and demanded that his father tell everyone what he knows about Skye. Victor replied that if Adam wants to keep Sharon out of prison for Skye's "murder," he'll have to testify on Victor's behalf at the hearing and to say that the trust documents are a fraud. Adam asked what incentive Victor would have to tell the authorities that he set up Skye's disappearance; Adam also feared that he'd end up in prison if he perjured himself. Victor handed him some documents to "sweeten the deal." It was a trust he'd created for Adam.
Sharon ran into Nick at the coffeehouse and asked him about the footage of Victor in Hawaii, and insisted that she can handle her own battles. Nick replied that he was fighting Victor for his own reasons. "I am through with my dad and I'm sure you are, too," he stated. Sharon reminded him how he and Victor were estranged after Nick turned him in a few years ago, but Nick didn't care.... Abby was aghast as she read the nasty article about the Newman siblings. Victoria assured her that when they won they'd be vindicated.
Sofia and Malcolm dined at Gloworm, but she kept thinking about her steamy encounter with Neil. Mal asked if they could put their problems behind them and she agreed.... Neil also thought about Sofia and advised Tucker to rehire her. Tucker refused, explaining that he needed to be able to trust his employees. Neil asked if Tucker has never made a mistake or decision that he'd regretted later. Tucker wondered why Neil was Sofia's champion. Neil answered that he'd been wrong about Sofia and that she's a rare talent. He added that she'd just been protecting Lily and the twins. "She's an honorable woman," Neil said. "I think you need her." Later, Neil called Sofia and asked her to meet Tucker right away. Sofia and Mal went to the office and Tucker asked Sofia to talk. He offered to rehire her and she eagerly accepted. Tucker told her to thank Neil. Mal told Neil that he owes him for getting him and Sofia back on track. Neil replied that he was happy for his brother. Sofia joined them and shared her good news.
Michael arrived at NE and Victor asked him to explain the terms of the trust to Adam. Adam still wasn't sure he was going to show up at the hearing, but Victor pointed out that Adam would be a hero to Sharon — and would be a very wealthy man. After, Nick went to see Victor and asked if they could settle things privately and avoid the media blitz. Victor blamed Nick for the family getting bad press.
Victoria went to the coffeehouse and ran into an old colleague, Lisa. Lisa revealed that she'd been let go from Newman Enterprises, thanks to the feud between the Newman kids and Victor.... Meanwhile, Abby went to Gloworm to do an interview for the Naked Heiress. However, the journalist wanted a story about Abby screwing over her dad. Later, Abby complained to Victoria about the paparazzi chasing her, while Victoria filled her in on her encounter with Lisa. Nick joined them and shared that his meeting with Victor hadn't gone well. He wondered if their father still believed he had the upper hand.
Adam and Sharon returned home; she was surprised to find him talking to a lawyer. He admitted that he'd gone to see Victor. Adam was confident that his father would come around, but Sharon wasn't so sure. She hoped that Adam didn't make a deal with the "devil." Adam promised not to do anything rash and wouldn't give her any more details. "Don't worry," he stated, but she was very concerned about what was about to happen.... Michael asked Victor if he'd lost his mind by teaming up with Adam and warned that what Newman was doing was illegal. Victor didn't care and promised that nothing would happen to Michael.
The Newmans met for the arbitration. Michael announced that they've just obtained new information. Adam then entered and announced that he's a witness. Sharon followed him to the courthouse, but was too late to stop him. Adam explained to the judge how he'd meddled with his siblings' trusts and forged Victor's signature. Victor gleefully told his kids that their case was based on a fraud and they had nothing.
